This place is tops. I used to work in the area and would often window shop the odd trinkets they had in the window. One time I conjured up the idea of getting a metronome, if only to annoy my colleagues. Lo, when walking past Village Green one day, there was a perfectly operational one in the window. I don’t recall the price - surely it was reasonable - and I can say it was worth every penny. And annoy colleagues it did.

Love this places wonderful staff. I often find a few great treasures. But that being said prices are going up quickly and they seem to have a weird system on how they price things . It’s all over the place many things are over priced. I have seen things from the dollar store selling for double the original price????

Wonderful cove of hidden treasures! The store is so well organized and super clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We never felt crowded in the store which I liked a lot. They have a vast selection of Halloween and Christmas decorations at the moment as well.

Great assortment of very affordable items. Some are well worn and they shouldn't be for sale, but some of the items are in fantastic shape and well worth the price. Spend sometime going over the stuff and really examine it before taking it home. Look for rips and tears in the clothing b/c they do accept almost anything. People should be more aware of what they donate - if it has a rip - people do not need it. Very recommended.

I'm a frequent thrift shopper, and this was one of the worst stores I've ever entered. This is a sad store filled with overpriced, junky stuff. Old, pilled, stained clothing, VHS tapes galore, costume jewelry, "grandma" decor pieces. I saw a faded ski jacket from 1995 with stains on the front that was being sold for $40. I'm shocked at the pricing and the lack of selection. It did not feel like an inviting place to shop, and the racks that I thumbed through had nothing exciting to offer. There are 2 miniscule changerooms. The staff was really nice, though. I feel like this could be a great store if the staff put a bit more effort into selecting the pieces, or had a higher standard for what they were selling. I'm going to try again because I know thrifting can be hit-and-miss, but this experience was 100% a miss for me.

I was so disappointed in this place. This has always been my favourite thrift shop for vintage treasures but it seems like the prices just went waaaayyy up:( I left with practically nothing because everything I picked up was about 4x what I expected it to cost. I’ll try again on about a month and hopefully it turns around! UPDATE: I was there again yesterday and the prices were good again :) I have bumped them up 2 stars.

It's a great place for bargain deals.most clothing articles in the store do have block prices, children clothing articles not including coats/ski pants are $2.50 per article and under. Then there is a clearance dollar rack. Which clothing items that have gone through rotation end up.which the best time to check this clearance rack is monday mornings, especially to get the good picks!! Not only that, there are weekly sales!! That go from 50% off up to receiving 80% off items that cost more then you like. Try purchasing a scarf for .50 cents when it's on sale....But then there is always thrifters remorse. Don't let that happen to you! This place doesn't sell furniture. But small kitchen appliances. Bought a bread machine for $10. Prices are alot lower then what ppl ask for on buy & sell sights. Friendly staff. Always willing to lend a hand. The store obviously does it best, to hold up to everyone's standards.its usually a hit & miss with items your looking for. But you will always find treasures if you just take your time.

A great place to find everyday items , hard to find, unique one-of-a-kind items for gift giving or just to keep for yourself, great place and the staff is wonderful, when you go once you'll always be going back it hooks you in and you got to see what's in store next. ????

I just went to buy a homeless girl some winter boots, as she only had sandals..I relayed my reasoning and this very nice woman who works there, donated some really nice womans sorels winter boots.. I am very pleased an the girl got them..and believe me when I say, very happy.. and she's thankful to the kind lady at village greene..

I love this place. 2 sheet sets(1/2 price), a long sleeve Blades shirt, a bowl, a cheery easter table runner and a whimsical teabag holder: $24.50. Yes really!

Helpful staff, very reasonable prices! and everything is laid out so tidily! I have found many unique items at low cost (ie: $3.50 for a shirt, $3.00 for a pair of like-new shoes that my friend, who used to work in a shoe store, told me would have cost around $165.00 new.) I must comment on the generosity of the staff, as one brutally cold winter day (reported -52 with windchill) a young man had run all the way from the courthouse in nothing but a thin flannel shirt, jeans, and sneakers. He had no money, but asked if they could please spare a toque. !!!! I was appalled that he was sent out like this. I told him to pick out a coat, boots, sweater, etc., and I would pay for it (no I'm not rich; am on an extremely limited budget, actually) and if that had been Value Village, I couldn't have even thought of offering!) The Village Green cashier had been attending to a customer, after which she finished, told us I didn't need to do that because they would. They have clothing set aside that they ensure is adequate for such emergency situations. Apparently one is released from the courthouse in whatever they were brought in wearing. If it were not for the staff at Village Green, who knows what would happen to this young man, and others like him. Worth supporting their store, definitely ❤️

This store would be great if it weren't so overpriced, AND if they would get rid of that disgusting "boutique" area where they put all the nice clothes for double the price.
