For basic craft supplies I'd suggest you look to the dollar store first as Micheals will charge you 10 times the amount or more for the same items. However Micheals does have a tremendous selection for items you can't find at the dollar store although oddly enough I couldn't find 7/8" round vinyl stickers there.. previously sold at Walmart until they changed their format to a so-called "super store" and reduced their craft department to a single isle.

Great place for your artsy or baking-oriented needs. I've looked and found cake prep & decoration stuff to make a birthday cake (a big selection). Also, all kinds of items needed for school and art projects for both my kids. It might be priced a bit higher than your local Walmart but the shopping experience, customer service and selection for these items is greatest here.

I traveled to ottawa hoping to find yellow agate beads to make a special necklace.. for my aunt Mar..Birthday. " ???? unfortunately her favourite colour was yellow " I was stumped..& i worried about finding quality supplies . ???? this Michaels had a selection of incredable Fire agate yellow ,and yellow Jade with other exciting & funky colours to match. I loved the yellow idea so much that im now making my own necklace with a splash of some beautiful honeycomb agate stones. Thank u to this Michaels location for carrying a larg selection. Put a picture in for framing that was supposed to be ready Oct 3. I called Oct. 3 and spoke to a manager who said the wrong mat was ordered. It'd be another week! Called yesterday to see if it was ready. Whoever I spoke to couldn't even find the picture! Called today and was put on hold. After 30 minutes I hung up. Tried calling back but they wouldn't even answer the phone. The call was just ended. After numerous times trying to get through, my husband called. After 5 tries he finally got through and was told the picture was still not ready as they ordered the wrong mat again!!! So he's now on his way to pick up the picture! So frustrating!!! Will never take something there to be framed again!

I went in to find something I can do on my own as I have been down 8 1/2 months from surgery and then a broken neck!! I wanted to start some form of physio on my hands and arms to strengthen them!! I found the store pretty cleared out, whether ppl are shopping early for Christmas or they haven't recvd any stock in their store!!?? I had a great sales representative help me and I eventually got something to paint and the paints to go along with it!! I was happy with my purchase and the patient sales representative who was all smiles was so gracious!! The checkout individual was extremely polite and I really appreciated my excellent experience there!! I have to say the best service I have recvd in a very long time and I'd highly recommend them from my experience!! I hope they do get a shipment of stock to replenish store though!!

They have an excellent selection of crafting items, more so than any other craft store on the island. They don't always have specialty items (like silk yarns) but a large variety none the less. I like how they also offer craft, cake decorating and textile classes.

Disorganized. Overpriced and over flowing but never in the right location. Unfortunately, it's got a horrible back room that doesn't lend itself to organisation when stock arrives. Just boxes placed everywhere and stacked high. I know. I've been there. Stuff gets put out, then the overstock sits out back or up top... Somewhere. It's nice that Canadians can now order online, but the stuff I want isn't available online. Quirky, that. The place has great stuff hidden in there. Good luck finding it. It needs a major overhaul in the organizing field. It needs a better re-stocking system. It needs to work on retaining the people who are great at their jobs instead of chasing them off.

Service: poor Atmosphere: good Product Quality: good, overpriced Service The service at Michael's is terrible. I have been sent from one end of town to the next by a Michaels associate because they do not have an item in stock and when I arrive at the next location who's shows stock in their system, they actually don't have it. The associates at this location verbally run down employees from other locations and still do little to help the customer. Staff is often standing around talking to each other and complaining about work. Atmosphere Store is usually pretty clean. Sometimes aisles are blocked with items that need to be put on shelves. Product Quality Product quality is usually good, but very overpriced. Michael's always has a coupon for 40-50% off because it's the only way to make their product competitively priced. I purchase a lot of yarn for my projects and have to make multiple trips to use multiple coupons and that's only to get the same pricing as other retailers or online. Why shop there? They have the largest selection of acrylic yarns in the city and there's no delay for shipping.

This store seems to have more than most. For some reason, I've been to many other Michaels and this Michaels seems to be the only one that has a few different things and they often are in-stock. I enjoy this particular Michaels than the one in Kanata. Friendly staff and they seem to be better at keeping the majority of their items in the same aisles which is helpful. However, Michaels on a whole can be quite pricey. The majority of their decor is cheaply made, looks cheap and feels cheap but they sell it at an almost premium price in comparison. Much rather put my money into a smaller business than a conglomerate like this one

Amazing location with ample parking space by a strip mall (next to the biggest chapters and only Ikea in the city!) . I didn't know where to find kandi bracelet related material so I was directed to go to a Michael's and I wasn't disappointed! The staff at exceedingly friendly and was willing to help out with any interactions I needed. Relatively close by to where I live so I have no complaints whatsoever.

This Michaels is pretty weak. I don't think I've ever seen one this small. A lot of things were sold out and getting to that shopping centre is a pain, especially when IKEA is busy. I'm not a huge fan of Michaels to begin with and this is one of their weaker stores.

I was at this store today to shop for some things with my roomates. It was misrable. As we were shopping we had an employee follow us around the store the entire time, telling us to social distance although we weren't even near eachother. We even seperated at one point to respect the rules, but we were still getting followed around the store making us feel very uncomfortable. Once we got to the checkout, another lady (who claims to be the manager) comes out of no where and starts yelling in a disrespectful tone, telling us we werent social distanding. I then tell her the way she's speaking to us isn't right and she told us she can speak whatever way she wants because she is the manager and apparently owns the building. Her other employee that was following us around the store popped up at us and joined the conversation as well telling her manager she warned us already (to get extra points I guess?) After we left the store, the "manager" decided to go outside and watch us pack our things in the car which made every single one of us question what was going through her head. This lady was preaching social distancing rules, yet she calls her cooworkers to come stand right next to her to talk about us and watch us. The manager of this store was extremely rude and I cannot believe the tone she used with my roomates & I. DO NOT COME HERE if you want to shop underpressure and get yelled at in a store infront of people.

The perfect place to go for all your craft and coloring needs! I go here at least four times a month to mainly look at the Art supplies and Adult Coloring books, I love to buy/look at the Gelly Roll Gel Pens and the new marker/Art sets plus coloring books. You can get a coupon on there website or app for at least 40% off your purchase, just cant be an everyday value item. I use a coupon almost every time I go. The staff are always friendly and ready to help you with any question, they are always making sure to come over and ask me if I need any help or have any questions. Highly recommend the Brockville store.

An impressive offering of deco and craft supplies. Prices are extraordinarily high so make sure you go armed with coupons and wait for sales. [The can scan your coupons right off your phone.] Yarn here is cheaper at regular price than it is on amazon. But $2 more expensive than 'yarncanada' At 2PM on a Sunday afternoon, when this place is least busy, there was a line up of 19 people at cash and only two cashiers. I would recommend Michaels for your deco and craft needs. They also have a large 'in season' section that seems to always be at least 1 month ahead of the next holiday.

Great place to shop. At least one employee, Tina, is extremely knowledgeable about the products. She was able to kindly, patiently, and honestly guide me through all the different products and options available for watercolor painting and more. She provided recommendations, and detailed differences between brands and qualities and answered all of my questions and helped me to locate everything I needed. This is the kind of service someone can only hope for when they walk into a store not knowing as much as they should about what they're going to buy! If I need to go there again, I hope Tina is working!

Usually easy to find things, but I often find that during holiday seasons their seasonal sections can get very messy and with a sparse selection of items. Employee interactions haven't always been great either, with help seemingly being offered grudgingly.

As a 30 year old mother of two boys, for some reason every time I walk into the store either an employee or the manager follows me and basically harrasses me. The manager is always rude towards me when i have given them no reason at all for her to act that way. Its fusterating to the point, that I would rather shop some where else where i am comfortable shopping instead of being treated as if I am going to steal amd not pay for an item. They should learn not to judge anyone who walks into Michaels unless given a good reason to do so.

I can find so many things for my business here. And the prices are pretty comparable to Amazon. I was looking items up while shopping, and they prices were so close, I just bought them at Michaels since I could go home with the products right then an there. Its better to keep our local craft stores open, so if it's just a couple dollars more, why not support them. The couple dollar helps with the overhead required. That's a good thing. But when items are marked up 50% -100%, it can be hard to swallow. It's worth taking the time to shop here first. I also love their 40% off your next purchase coupon on the receipt. I'm definitely going to use that. Smart retargeting Michaels!! A+

Very tight isles and blind corners when leaving isles. The lineup to get to the registers impedes access to some isles making social distancing very difficult. Used to love going here, now they've stopped stocking everything I go for, Sashay Yarn, certain paints, the Sissix are hard to find and they've started collecting copious amounts of yarn and ribbons. The everyday price program is also quite frustrating. I can never walk into this store without finding something I want. Staff are helpful and friendly, store is always clean and organizedand the selection is great. And sometimes you find great stuff that you wouldn't necessarily think would be at a craft supply store. They always have bins of cheap little knick knacks which I've discovered over the years make great stocking stuffers. They also have great classes and birthday parties and regular activities for kids. Sometimes things can be a bit pricey but they pretty much always have great coupons which are great if you've been eyeing something a bit pricey for a while but wouldn't spend the money on it. They also have really great clearance stuff sometimes too, especially after holidays. Who doesn't love a bargain right? Overall, I pretty much always walk out having spent and bought more than I planned, but I always love the stuff I buy and haven't been disappointed yet.

Michaels gifts and crafts is a great store for the crafter of any age. While the prices on some things are a little more expensive than at other stores, the coupons that are easily obtained on their website or from their flyers easily counteract the price difference. This store has a vast selection of craft supplies for just about any project you are working on, and if you are having trouble finding a particular item anywhere else I am sure Michaels has it. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and will not hesitate to help you out.

Do not order from this company! I ordered some items for curbside pickup. When I got home I noticed that 2 items were missing. I have been calling the customer service line, if you can call it that since all it is basically is a chat line, for 6 weeks! I got thru once and the representative abruptly ended the chat after typing hello. I have waited on the phone, many times for over an hour, just to be “hung up” on. This is the worst customer service and I will not shop at Michael’s again even if they do open their stores. Absolute disappointment. If I could give 0 stars I would!
