Our first visit to Cowtown Saskatoon yesterday. We moved from Ontario last summer and saw many pet supply stores there, but nothing like Cowtown!! Have never seen so many products and such variety. We spent almost an hour just going up and down the aisles. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Then we saw the other side of the store - the people side. Clothing and shoes and boots for adults and children as well as saddles etc for horses. We will certainly go back to Cowtown! We will bring our dog too and let her pick a treat (or two). GREAT PLACE

Informative staff, as I went in to change up my dog food to something healthier that both of my dogs could eat. Lots of selection of dog and cat treats, toys, water bowls, beds etc. I also like that every 8th bag of dog food is free! Pricey, and you can hardly browse without getting smothered by the sales staff. But really good quality stuff for the most part, from tack, to clothes, boots, and pet supplies. The only thing i would say is a little over valued to the extreme is there used saddles. Some of them are really cheaply made saddles that are priced double what they should be. Overall a good place to buy, i have recommended many friends and family there.

Would give 0 stars if possible. We've been there multiple times in a month looking for a certain sized food for our cat. And every single time, when someone asks if we found everything, we tell them no, we're looking for this product. They just say okay. They don't ask for my number to call when it's in, or anything. The employees really didn't seem to care that I didn't find what I was looking for. I know Cowtown is local, but in a retail environment there needs to be sales and service standards.

A trap! Between the western gear and the dogs other customers bring in with them, you'll want to stay wayyy past the time for you to pick up the wife. And if yours is like mine....wow... Cowboy boots I have are fantastic. The second I put my foot in this cushion, you can smell the leather and wiggle your toes in pride. Rawhide! Staff there are right deadly too! Always there and ask if you need anything. I always say I'm just taking a look because, you know, I'm shy (yeah. I know. I'm weird) but sooner or later when I goes back, I'm gonna start making new friends. Have a BBQ or or whatever haha. But no seriously 10/10. Will be coming back here sooner rather than later

My go to spot for dog food and treats! They have a great selection of high quality foods and I don't know why but their large smoked dog bones are the longest lasting and my dogs go crazy for them. Too many other places sell bones which are brittle and seem to splinter almost instantly... its across the city from me and I still make a point to go there when I need pet supplies. And their prices are also pretty good.

They have a feeder program where you get the 13th bag free. I bought mostly large bags of cat food but once or twice could only afford the small bag for a month. When it came to my 13th bag it was explained to me that since I bought a small bag, even just once, that is the free bag you will get. If i had bought exclusively large bags I would have gotten a large bag free. It doesn't matter that I mostly bought large bags out of 12 and then it was explained you can have 2 different accounts so that you buy small bags on one and large on the other and don't run into this problem. That information doesn't help me now! It took me almost 2 years to reach the 13th bag and I will probably just go buy somewhere else now this situation made me extremely disappointed and angry.

Cowtown is a huge retail store that sells stuff for cowpoke (jeans galore, cowboy hats, etc) as well as for pet owners. I checked out Cowtown to see what they have for dog owners. While they don't have everything I was looking for, they do have a great selection of carriers, toys, leashes/collars/harnesses, and pens (the least expensive pet pen I found by far) with competitive pricing.

Great customer service, we went shopping there for my fiancé and his groomsmen’s wedding shirts, once buying them we realized we needed one of them in a larger size and they didn’t carry it. Instead of just saying we would have to return all the shirts and pick something else, one of the girls called around and was able to find a shirt in a larger size in an Ariat warehouse and they had it shipped it in. They went above and beyond and it was greatly appreciated!

if I could give them negative stars I would! terrible return policy. Staff was only helpful when accepting my $300. after only two weeks my product stopped working. Not only did they refuse to exchange my purchase, but said it was no longer their problem and to take it to a repair man, even after admitting the switch "looked off". Absolutely appalled that after spending this amount of money on one purchase that there was nothing they would do to fix the problem.

If I could give more stars I would, the ladies who helped me with getting new jeans and finding a pair of boots my daughter liked where awesome. They didnt get frustrated at all with her (4 year old) or if they did they definitely didnt let it show. Extremely friendly service and they didnt push for a sale which I liked the best.

I really enjoyed going to this store because of its variety and connections with the K9 Dog Rescue,but I have to say I was surprised and disappointed with the customer service. When returning a toy(because it did not work anywhere near as described) I was interrogated on what I did in order to make the toy not function. There was no "oh I am sorry to hear that" or apology for the problem,instead a sense of disbelief and more questioning. To the point where they tested the toy and continued to push the issue that they would lose money if it was sent back to the original manufacturer and it worked properly. What does it take to get some "the customer is always right", or how about not questioning someone who spends hundreds of dollars at your store every year over a $30 dollar toy that didn't work even when tested in front of the staff.In the end I did get my money back, but honestly it was enough to make me think of spending my money elsewhere.
