We've got the reviews of people like you who purchased the services of Costco Wholesale (Costumes) in the area of Borden (Canada).
At present the firm gets a rating of 4.4 over 5 and this rating is based on 127 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is really positive, and it is founded on a very high number of reviews, so we can think that the valuation is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to place scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Costumes is included in the category of Warehouse store.
What can I say, Costco is Costco a great place to stock up on stuff u use all the time also Gas is always cheap there. I also like that they charge you per liter for propane even for BBQ cylinders not like other places that charge you flat rate whether it is empty or not
Orillia Costco is our regular stop when heading to see family & friends in Muskoka. Great food selection, gas and sraples.
Our own Stoney Creek Costco ❤️ Opening Thursday, Nov. 2, at 8 a.m. ????
No line-up, no crowd, people keeping good distancing
Actually not too busy tonight. Reloaded my KD In the new boxes. Very pleased.
Good quality products for a reasonable price. One of the best place to shop in St.Johns.
Fruit and veggies so fresh and best milk price in town.
Outstanding customer service (when you find someone - lol) and great prices! High quality products, and a wonderful return policy. The staff truly make great efforts to achieve customer satisfaction in all areas and departments.
This warehouse was clean, organized and so many great deals. Also, the staff were all friendly, welcoming and so very helpful, especially the customer service desk staff. It's worth the cost of having a membership with Costco. I bought one for my daughter and fiancé as a Christmas gift!
My children love the stuff I get at Costco. This is the most North Costco after Sudbury. It's a Costco with gas.
Good service and largely good staff. Some managers are extremely rude and unhelpful in even assisting in small matters.
Contents of the costco are good and the store is relatively clean. Staff are OK, some are abrupt or not clear with instructions. Was suppose to get a loaf of bread and Nutella and was told we were not eligible because of our gold membership signup. Come home to a flyer saying that if you have a gold membership you can get the loaf of bread and Nutella free upon sign up. Kind of disappointing.
This is one of our favorite Costcos to visit due to the good selection, but their employees have to be some of the rudest I've ever come across. My husband and I are on the same membership, we tend to always use his card when checking out. He steps aside and I pay with OUR credit card. For the first time EVER I was demanded to see my card, I explained I didn't have it on me and we are on the same membership etc. They continued to let me check out but rudely exclaimed they didn't have to let me do that and maybe next time I should bring my own card. She then told me it's the rules so I should follow them, I tried explaining we've never had an issue. I have no issue following the rules but maybe have your staff across the board follow them.
The ladies at Costco rock! From the ladies at the cash to Clare and the manager at the returns. I had purchased a heated blanket and it didn't work and these ladies went above and beyond for me. I am truly grateful to each of them. They made one little boy very happy that he has his heated blankie back. So a big thank you to all of them.
Nice new costco in Orillia. Not as busy as most in GTA and Barrie. Staff is friendly.
I love Costco. This is the among the best locations I have been to. Usually not too busy. Much better than the Ancaster location that scrambles my brain and makes me wonder if Costco is even worth it anymore.. also much better than the Burlington location that doesn't even have a gas station:( I dream of more Costco's as beautiful as this one. hopefully the fine people of Brantford will get a Costco like this one. They've waited too long. This place has a great layout, fine gourmet hotdogs. I miss the samples and hope they return soon.
Extremely crowdy and fresh vegetables and fruit quite expensive. But overall great place
Second day open for new location. Huge crowds, but the same Costco efficacy. Checking out was a breeze. Great selection.
Awesome employees. Mostly clean and organized. Great deals. Lines move fast.
Big and organized store. Very efficient check out.
Always love costco. A bit rush but that's OK. It was Friday and that's understandable
Clean, highly spacious, not very busy for a Costco and you know how they can get. They also introduced self checkout and an app that let's you post your card instead of presenting it at the door. Very busy tire center and food bar.
Always friendly staff, well kept store and easy to navigate.
First time at this Costco. Friendly staff acts self check outs. Wow. Had everything I wanted except coconut raspberry tarts but the girls showed me something else just as yummy. Happy holidays
Well stocked, gas bar, and self serve checkout for smaller purchases. It doesn't have the directional arrows right now like the St. Catherines one does, but there wasn't a line up when I went, and they had everything I was looking for, plus a few items that the St. Catherines location hasn't been carrying lately. I was able to find dried basil, and love the walk in dairy cooler.
This Costco location is amazing in comparison to other that I have been to
I love Costco, what I don't like is that shut down the self serve check out isle! That made things a little quicker, I do understand though people will use these self checkout for buggies full of product, but I think they should be reserved as a quick check out with 16 items or less line ! Just a thought! Pull in more quick customers!
Very efficient shopping experience. Everything is organized into sections so you can grab what you want, and go. The prices are amazing too!
Lots of high quality products and good prices. Occasionally products are on sale at other stores that may be priced slightly lower. I removed two stars from this review since I believe they are allowing too many customers in the store during the pandemic. This was especially true for our recent visit early in July 2020.
We haven't been members but are joining now!!
Love this new Costco. Have been going to this Costco since the week it opened. Great to have this store in our community. This store is very well laid out - someone had their thinking caps on for this build. Also great cleanliness of the store, both the stock (organization, faced, etc) as well as FF&E cleanliness. Proud employees work here.
Bigger n better... added volume, self checkouts, gas station. The layout is similar to the old Costco. The area outside the produce area where the fruit is seems a little cluttered. AND of course, can't forget the roundabouts! Freakin' hate them! Almost got creamed today as one lady never even stopped coming into the roundabout. One other time a transport truck, which was clearly too big for the roundabout, entered into the inside lane as I was coming alongside, and I just managed to stop before it nearly took me out preventing me and any other traffic from maneuvering the stupid circle! Otherwise I enjoyed my visit.
Decent selection but not as good as other locations for certain things like bread products. Very clean store, helpful staff.
I love this location. It is spacious and has fresh fruits and vegetables; it has friendly staff; the store is clean and follows all the COVID-19 rules and guidelines. They monitor people follow "social-distancing" throughout the whole warehouse. It also has less lineup than nearby warehouses during COVID-19 pandemic.
The place is pretty busy long lineups for returns
I don't like the layout of this location compared to your Ancaster location but I do prefer the store itself. There is always stock on the items I need. I am glad there is covid procedures in place but the staff member walking around with the megaphone ???? yelling for people to stay 6 feet apart over and over and sometimes too close to me was extremely annoying and literally painful to my ears. In future if it continues and you can't find something better than yelling in peoples ears every 45 seconds I'll try another location
This is simply the best Costco I have ever been in in my entire life and I've seen some nice Costcos in my time. All the other ones pale in comparison. This one has very nice employees, I will come back just for them. One guy had a really cool conversation with me about nerd stuff and expressed his love for turtles to me which was kinda off topic but I like turtles too so it was all good.
????????????????Costco tire center is super SLOW. took them 2 hours to change tires. ????????????????
Nice location but still not a lot of options compared to others like Mississauga
Newer costco with typical layout and all the amenities
AMAZING! Always clean and the line ups move quickly - inside the store and outside. Much less busy then the other Costco stores. Perhaps I should give it 2 stars so that people won't come to this one and keep it on the downlow ????
Love the new Costco in St John's... Huge variety... Great deals and super friendly staff...
Big deal. It's Costco. The place where in order to buy anything, you must first buy the right to buy something there. Not as crowded as the zoo in Ancaster.
Well organized. And lots of space to move. Went at opening so really wasn't too busy. Cashier seemed to need her coffee but wasn't rude. Overall I enjoyed my experience
The best price for everything available here, although limited choices for a few things. Good fresh produce section. Awesome choice for bakery. It's crowded most of the time. Parking is a nightmare though.
Lots of goodies, great place for durable clothes.
A little hard to move with large carts with so many customers. Staff, especially those in charge of self checkout, are less courteous than in past.
This Costco is absolutely enormous, moreso than others I've been to. Even when there are a lot of people, it still takes less time to get through the cashier lines than most regular grocery stores. While I was checking out, it turned out I needed to buy three of these perogies that were on sale and I couldn't buy just one, so one of the staff ran off to the other side of the store to get me two more. I was quite impressed. My only criticism is they have like a quarter mile of different dog foods but only three kinds of cat food.
Super, super busy, but cashier was great for us.
A little busy this time. But otherwise still clean, great service and some good deals!
This is an ok Costco I guess.... its lacking variety and most of the things I can get at Walmart for less. It good for a few regular items but this particular location kinda sucks for selection
Very disappointed that Costco seems to think, Ontario law is not for them. They have no regard at all, for exemptions when it comes to masks. The atmosphere is completely gone, and they will definitely not see us anymore, until this ridiculous masking thing is over!
Great place to shop, if you are buying stuffs in bulk. Very cheap and good quality stuff. Also love their food court, best hot dogs in St.John's.????
I love going to Costco, produce for some reason is always the best. I gave it 4 stars because of the attendants that collect the carts outside. They are always complaining about their job, as most people do, but they do it loudly and with a lot of unnecessary foul language. It can be very offensive.
Standard costco. Less crowded than some of the locations within GTA. Great selection of products.
Costco big box stores are the same no matter where you go. This particular one was crazy busy. Staff was cool and most people were doing the distancing. All had a mask on which was nice.
Great location. Still new so stay are learning. Fast lines and very friendly
Almost everything a family needs under one roof. Costco is always busy. Their fruits are good but not as great as they used to be.
The store was like all Costco's clean and lots of products, that being said it is still a Gastapo style, forcing you to wear mask company thats not to far from a communist regime.
Huge warehouse, always very well kept and well stocked. Good customer service. Great place to buy in bulk! Love their poutines! Get your professional pictures developed here- great quality photos for a low price.
Easy chopping and fast check-out today I went there today with my wife, not very too crowded, and the check out lines were very short
IMO Costco is a great place to shop. My experiance over the uears has been very good. My only serious complaint is their insistence on accepting only MC and Interact. I have bee a VISA user all my life and see no reason to have two cards.
The best customer service I’ve ever experienced at a new Costco. Picked up my membership here after moving to the city and the staff were so friendly, efficient and happy. I’ve never had such a positive Costco experience. Parking and the gas bar are no issue and lines are minimal and move swiftly. My partner said they’ll start coming to Costco with me again after visiting this location on a Saturday! London, Newmarket and Barrie stores need to take note.
I love this Costco. It's a great place to go. Prices are always good and the steak quality is second to none. I don't like that they don't do custom tire sizes for people. If their stock tires they should be able to go on the car. Their Seafood is supposed to be really good, it's fresh and doesn't smell bad when you cook it. If you smell fish in a cooking seafood that means it's rotten. You don't get that at Costco
Similar to any other Costco store, familiar set up of isles, there is always a staff member on the floor to answer questions. This location has a gas station as well, which attracts more members than the ones without a station.
You would have a better time watching paint dry.
Very crowded and no social distancing. People are just going every which way no arrows to follow
Great layout for parking. No much variety for the kinds of fruit we like such as plums or nectarines. The quality of the food they sell is good.
First time in over a month when I've gone that there wasn't a 45+ minute wait. Only needed a few things so went to another store and there was no wait. I certanally hope they take the inconvenience into consideration and issue a two or three months free membership to the end of everyone's membership. I know it isn't Costco fault but it also isn't there members fault and we are being inconvenienced with the long waistband there busness has been open and obviously very busy so a good will jester would be appreciated.
If you can go here instead of the Barrie one, I assure you it's 100% worth it. Legit the cleanest costco I've ever been to, staff are amazing and our 2 year old loves going here because all the staff make him laugh. The guys and girls who work in the food/kitchen are great too! Our fave supermarket from Toronto to here. And they have just as much of the fancy/alternative food as the city stores- just a million times cleaner and with better service.
Self check out is a feature I had not seen before. Sooooo much quicker than standing in line behind people with full carts when I only had a few items
This is my favourite Costco in the GHA! While it is busy like all the rest of them, the layout of the location makes for easier parking and navigating the parking lot to enter, exit and get to the gas bar. The addition of self checkout is more convenient too if you are buying only a few things at any given trip.
Better than last time... still wish folks would keep their distance. Note that non-essential areas are blocked. Tha k you, Costco @
Best place to shop by far. And I love the samples.......
Luisa at the entrance was very rude. We had a coffee on our way in and she said no drinks allowed. Cool that’s completely fine and we understand, but when we walk through the store while shopping and count 2 shoppers and 3 staff having the exact same coffees in their hand it makes us wonder why she decided to not allow us to bring it in. We confronted her on our way out and she said staff are allowed but customers can be fined. She didn’t explain why the others had them or how they got in with them but they need to work on their policies a bit better.
Love Costco! Always have. Fantastic variety and wonderful staff ☺️
Sometimes wholesale shopping can be daunting... But the deals ????️ are soooo goooood! - Update 2022-02-13: Even after years of shopping here, the deals are still amazing! And certain deals have even beaten online shopping. Too gooood!
Always a great visit. Live the fast checkout.
Not a member, just went in for the hotdog deal $150 for a hot dog and a fountain drink!!
No human being should ever enter a Costco on Saturday or Sunday but that seems to be the days I can go. It’s busy, everyone attacks the sample people, and it’s the 9th circle of hell. But you can get really good deals and the little cafe has a hotdog and drink for 1.69 (or something close to that) as a consolation prize for surviving your encounter.
Love this place. Not overcrowded. Great variety and helpful staff.
It's a well organized Costco, and great gas station.
What can you say.... It's Costco. Simply the best!
Went to renew oir membership. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. What a great system at the cash. Just handing the cart over! It was the first time taking my mom out in her walker and we will surely be back.
I was repeatedly harassed and followed throughout the store after accidentally having my mask slip below my nose due to talking and it catching on my beard. Literally adjusting the mask resulted in several rude and shouted remarks from the "mask police". It is amazing how a small amount of power can get to people's heads so quickly.
Not everything is there that was last week. Had to go on to another warehouse to get what was needed.
A very efficiently run operation - just avoid this place on the weekend if you can as it gets super busy! Also, $1.50 hot dog? Every time.
Always busy , great deals on most items !! Watch your deals . Not much Christmas stuff this year must be too late .
Went in at about 7:50 pm. I went around the store very quickly as I knew exactly what I wanted and where it was. The staff at checkout looked exhausted but we're SO friendly! One of the best, if not THE best checkout experiences I've had there.
Nicer location. Prefer it to ancaster
Way better then the Ancaster one. Ancaster is pure chaos.
Great time for shopping, store was not very busy and we were in and out in 45 minutes.
It's a big box store. Not my favourite, but staff are very helpful & friendly.
Worst customer service! My fiancé and I just moved into the area to save some money while we go through school so saving money is really important to us. We wanted to get the less expensive membership option but we’re forced into the executive membership by Nicolas. This toe muncher gave us attitude as we explained why we wanted the cheaper option and even signed us up for the corporate credit card without asking us first! Nic if you are reading this I hope you drop your toast and it lands the wrong way.
Great quality low prices, cash back, really good quality, house hold items. the Costco store also has gasoline n.. usually about 5 ¢ cheaper than most places. They provided the hand sanitizer at the beginning and every corner of their store, they sell anything from grocery to pharmacy to deli with fresh food that they make in front of you with the lowest price, their cashiers always polite, fast and friendly and they always know what they are doing, in the past 30 years at my usual grocery store .. the cashier or staff never asked if I needed help. They are trained really well. I go to Costco 3 times a week. I feel comfortable to shop there. Their pharmacy is so fast and knowledgeable that I feel like I am in the hospital. I order my prescription, get my grocery, pick my prescription and leave. Love it.
Huge warehouse where you can find almost anything. All departments have interesting sale time to time. Love the online selection as well. Membership required with lots of benefits.Highly recommend. They won’t disappoint
It is a great place. I love the samples regularly. Now that we are in the midst of Covid-19, they still have samples like teabags where you can take them home and try them. Also love their pickles :).
Very very good ☺️ Mr viral in town I realize all costcos have different things some costcos dont have
Great store but I always overspend
Love the great deals and the mini food court. Plus the additional wheels when my leg was broke is certainly easer than hoping all around the store. A+++
I did not like it. It made me remember why it has been 3 years since I last went to a Costcos. The employees were pushy and rude. We were made to change check out lanes and it took us another 15 minutes to get through. I will say most of the prices were reasonable that is about it.
Good store depending on times you go it can be super busy other times not bad but people like to shop here for alot stuff... so just pick an off time that way ur not like ahhhh people lol
Great. Got what I wanted. Be careful though they sell most things in bulk, so food purchases will be more for a large family than a couple.
My favorite store and the gas is cheaper then anyone around
If you have a big family then costco is a great place to shop. I love the variety of things sold here. The seasonal stuff is always a great buy. the parking lot is bigger and easy to get in and out of compared to other Costco's. They also have gas at this location and the lay out of the store is easier to navigate. The kids clothing is always a great price.
Usually busy, but you don't really notice. Even in the height of covid, there was rarely a line and it would go rather quickly if there was. This goes for entrance and checkouts. Self checkout is a great feature! There is ample room in isles and it is well organized and stocked. Staff is always friendly and do their jobs well!
Great place, everyone social distance. Some people don't follow the arrows, but a great place to shop. Certain staff need to educate themselves on autism.
Front end staff very helpful with my inquiry, made an on line purchase easy to do with cash cards
$400 and I came home with 4 reusable bags. Empty shelves everywhere. The prices have tripled in a year and a half and at least 10 items they used to sell are gone. I'm thinking about cancelling my membership.
Great place. Great prices on household items. I bought a bag of toilet paper from there about almost a month ago and I still have 18 rolls :)
This Costco is clean, well managed and well staffed. the staff are friendly and helpful and their shelves are tidy and full. They also don't seem to mind that my toddlers came around for seconds of their favourite samples and who doesn't love a happy toddler? The parking is, as always, set up kind of funny but there are always free spaces.
Me and my father-in-law were getting a TV and I was going to pay for it for my father-in-law he has the membership but when we got to the cash register the employee screaming asking who I was with him I wonder if it was because we were two different races. Shame on this Karen at the cash register we don't have space for these people in 2020 get this woman fired. Like I just want to help get the TV.
I love this Costco! It is so much less overwhelming than some of the surrounding locations. They have great selection & the staff at the self checkout are always super friendly i helpful. Not to mention, who doesn’t love Costco fries & hotdogs? Always on point & I love the self serve food ordering since Covid. I’ll likely never use another location! This one has it all.
Good Costco, not too bussy. There is a gas station. Otherwise nothing out of ordinary
Well stocked and very efficient customer setvice. The chicken tenders are amazing
As always, I went in for one item and came out with more.
Cheapest gas you can buy at costco as compared to other gas station. Normally save 20 cents per liitter. Just be patciant for longer lines than expected some times.
Saw staff harassing a woman about having a mask exemption. This far into the pandemic we should be working together not attacking each other.
Best place to buy bulk items for a great price. The quality of the products has never disappointed me and the customer service is great.
I am Disappointed lately from Costco Barrington 1st of the pharmacy take more than a normal time to answer telephone calls, and many times when the answer and the asked me to hold for a moment, after a while I get disconnected. 2 nd Costco Canada many times discontinued offer products that are like and even if I reported with a note in the store's suggestion box the never give me any answers. 3 rd I have found many times food products at Costco store with higher price from local supermarkets. While I pray a membership fee for getting better prices from the local stores.
The store was well staffed, not too busy, and the people were friendly. It is set up in a mirror-image to most Costcos so it feels kinda weird, but it's still good ol'Costco!
IF I die one day, if I am so lucky to be welcomed at the pearly gates, I am sure that heaven will just be the dairy cooler of a Costco. Costco is the single best and possibly the only good thing capitalism has ever given to us
Great shopping experience, and staff is always friendly.
It's Costco, wear you're mask people.. Xmas is in.. Nice tree only $800- bucks!!
Probably one of the best Costco's I have visited. The floor Managers are friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a problem, seek out "Robyn" and she will make sure to fix any troubles you are having.
I'm not sure if this was an unusual situation at this location. I don't typically visit this Costco. The second I walked through the door I stopped my cart for literally five seconds and a lady bit my head off telling that I'm at Costco and this is where I will get rammed. I laughed it off but it seemed to be the vine the entire trip. Apparently you're not allowed to stop to grab something off of the shelf without the eyes of fifteen different people rolling and the feeling that you're going to get a cart to the shin. Everyone was miserable and by the time I left my face was frowning too. Staff were nice but the shoppers definitely made it a unique, alcohol at 12pm experience.
Love it here. Love the staff at the members center and return desk. Had a return but we had thrown out the receipt and had to wait 24 hrs so they could lookup our account. I came back the next day and the woman remembered me and my faulty mop! She was awesome and super friendly
Went to buy tires as 1 of the tires had a slow leak. I wasn't sure if they could put on the new tires today but, they took my car in right away! And , it took only 30 mins! Great service overall! Awesome job!!
Lame o guy asking for Costco card at door like pisss of I can't shop with out it
Costco is awesome for bulk purchases at reasonable prices.
Good selection of food like any grocery store but seems to carry more international foods fruit meat cheese dry pastas nuts baking needs are fabulous love there seasonal items toys decor for inside or outside some are over priced staff are very friendly and eager to assist gas pumps cheaper than anywere around lots of benifits being a member
Today we were in and out quickly with the self checkout and found some items I was looking for as Christmas gifts!
your typical costco. You go in with a list and come out with twice the items you wanted. Friendly staff, amazing pizza slice, helpful people.
The store is big and staff are friendly and polite. Parking lot is spacious. Every time we visit, we find the stuff that we need.
Very large store with good selection. Always busy so make time for your visit. The employees are always helpful and they do a great job at keeping the checkout lines moving efficiently
Costco is one of our Favourite big box stores to shop in. You will always find great value for your $’s as well as amazing satisfaction guarantee’s. We love to shop in the Orillia store and find it a little ss congested and very well maintained.
Jennifer was amazing in helping me get the large-item purchases I came there for. I walked in with a 5mth old, and barely any stroller space. I had asked if someone could assist me since I didn't have support by my side. She was so lovely, funny and most importantly she showed the greatest customer service I haven't experienced in a long time. I told her to leave the cart for me there at the entrance so I could run to my car, drop the baby off and come back for the cart. She insisted she help me stroll it to my car.....this woman made my day so much, I bragged about her to my family all day long. Thank you Jennifer, I'll never forget it!
Great products, always well stocked at this location. I always find a good parking spot. No issues finding one. Like this location alot :) the cheesecake, strawberry cream cheese and croissants are my family's favs!
I generally don't shop at this Costco, however I heard it was the best one. I found the staff to be rude, not only to me but the members in front of me in line. I understand they deal with a lot of people a day. But if you don't like it, perhaps change your profession.
Huge store, everything you'd expect for a Costco. Clean and well organized.
Extremely disappointed, this costco had no line to control the flow of people entering the store. No arrows to provide direction, minimal staff on the floor to ensure people were maintaining social distancing. We drove to this store to avoid the Niagara Falls new location as we knew it would be busy. Almost had a panic attack at one point because I was being hit by people's carts, and people were BRUSHING my shoulders they were that close. So disappointed.
Nice location. Lot of Christmas decor. Customer service always on top
Great as usual but crazy busy during the weekend!!!
Good place to get all the items at discounted rate. Almost everything is available.
Great experience as always. Staff was great as well. Wish I worked at Costco. Roses are fresh and much cheaper than online.
Costco needs to limit the number of people, and stop deciding that one day you can have two people at the cash and the next day you can't. And also the receipt checking at the exit doesn't bother me, but having the staff check every single item, and verify every bar code, while looking me up and down is not ok. It's annoying. Y'all need to focus on the right rules to enforce.
great place to shop. this one has a gas station.
Store is clean, well stocked and organized. I come here for gas too as the wait time is short.
Visited the gas bar. Always the best prices in town.
The employees here have lately been giving me more and more issues due to being unable to block my breathing holes due to medical issues. Last time I was there, they caused a lot of grief. I used to love this venue & visit them regularly, but lately I've been going less & less due to friendliness having gone significantly down (even when wearing their sneeze-guard which has its major issues as well). I understand it is corporate policy to embarass the people in the store, and I will be cancelling my membership once my cash-back cheque from my Costco credit card gets cashed, as the experience I've had at Costco keeps degrading more & more lately, and most of the staff does not seem to be doing anything about it (there are a few staff that continue to be very kind, but most have been giving me a lot of grief, at least one of whom was directly encouraging me to cancel my membership).
Fairly new Costco opened a couple of years ago . We like coming here it's never too busy and a much larger store than our regular one. Gas prices always cheaper here.
I purchased a membership and decided to do some shopping the next day as the store was incredibly busy. Not alot of social distancing going on I may add. There was a large line up to get in first thing in the morning but it moved quickly. I couldn't believe the amount of people who were not following distance rules. It was like ants crowding around a melting popsicle.
Lots of customers not following social distancing...☹. When you point out the isle arrows to keep the flow one way they aren't happy. No toilet paper or paper towels but we got everything else on our list. Checkout was quick, even with the long lines.
MIKE is the man! He truly keeps things running smoothly and knows exactly what customer service looks like. I always see him running around checking in on everyone to see if they need help, what a great guy.
Great selection and prices, fast moving lanes. Crowded as all Costcos are, no issues with service or quality of products sold. Prepared food quality is par for the course both at the food court and at sold items.
Can’t go wrong with Costco. Gas always seems to be about 5-10 cents cheaper than other gas stations and there’s hardly ever a wait since they installed new pumps. This location has self-checkout too. Probably the best Costco I’ve ever been to.
This is one of my favourite Costco Stores.. Staff is super friendly. Store and property is very very clean.. Keep up the great work making this one of the best Costco locations in the chain..
I would give 5 stars because it’s a really nice well organized store but I don’t like you are letting in anyone without masks and not enforcing people to wear their masks properly. These are able bodied people choosing not to wear their masks or wear them correctly and they are putting everyone else at risk. It’s not fair. Please enforce the public health rules!!
Clean and stocked. A better option to the Barrie location. Less people.
Nothing really that different from all the other Costco's, but only 3 stars because it doesn't have a photo lab on site, so the turnaround is 5 to 7 days to process pictures, and it really needs an express check-out. Granted most people who go there are buying large quantities, but there are plenty of people who stop in for just a few items, so standing in line for a long time is not the best experience. Guess their cheap fries (they're really good and plentiful) makes up for the wait :). Update: I guess putting so many notes in the suggestion box worked. ;) There are now 6 self-serve check outs now. This makes it faster for small purchases.
My favorite place to shop, love it! Tons of new items every week, you always find something to buy! Some people complain about the value, but not me, I like to have a lot of good stuff!
Who doesn't like Costco. Masters of Quality with quantity.
If you are looking for a great spot for discounted fuel Costco is certainly something to be considered. There's typically a 5 to 10 minute wait so a bit of patience is obviously required here. I find the parking lot can be a bit tricky so I'll be someone you can find a bit early before opening or just before closing. The propane filling station is also worth leaning into. Costco seems to always take longer than expected and you'll often spend more than anticipated. Take advantage of the executive membership and use your points cards too on your non costco credit card if need be. Enjoy the deals.
Went at about 5:45 on Wed - no parking issues, no line ups, checked myself out with no line up or fuss. A very helpful staffer helped me by scanning two bigs items for me. Easy breezy.
Clean spacious lot of items I could not see other places were here.
Handicap parking available, electric carts also available for the elderly and/or handicapped. Sold out of toilet paper and paper towels, again! Happily let them put my purchases on the counter & back in the cart for me to unload into my car. Some decently priced books for kids. Remember, Christmas is coming.
Busy place before Christmas..but good selection...good prices...I can't leave this place without spending several hundred dollars...but I don't live in Orillia..
It was my first visit to the Orillia store and it was completely different than what I'm used to I wandered around lost for most of the time I didn't find any staff to help money I think I'll stick to my one that I always go to
ORILLIA COSTCO IS THE BEST! Great, fast and friendly staff. Not normally crowded. Always parking and the gas bar is quick! My go to Costco!!!
Clean store, witnessed staff sanitizing between customers. Relatively steady flow through checkout.
Always love going shopping at Costco always has the bulk items I need
The most amenable Costco I've been to... excellent parking [including a picnic table for a Covid-safe lunch] and very competent and friendly staff!! Pizza is a bit greasy; get extra napkins ✔️
Love this place great deals lucky I only go once every 2 months spend too much money too many great deals.
Love getting stuff in bulk for lower prices. Saved so much money here versus sobeys or dominion. Getting that card was one of the better choices I've made this year.
Usually busy. Don't plan on being in and out.. always restocking shelves.. produce always so much fresher then anyone else's produce. Very helpful and various types and brands on hand.. taste testers always around to offer samples..
,, I buy all my vegetables there and a lot of other things but they come in very big packages so usually last me a month and hopefully the food doesn't go bad in the meantime
Nice large textbook Costco. Car access is a bit chaotic due to a lack of traffic signals at the parking lot entrance.
Normally I love Costco however the last few times I have been in there it has been over crowded and the lineup for checkout has been ridiculous beyond reason. I would much rather wait outside especially this time of year to get into the store then have to wait in a long line inside of a store they insist on overheating
Way too busy on weekends and holidays, but it's best place for gas, rotisserie chicken and a million other wholesale items.
Cute Christmas ribbon.
Well stocked and well priced as always, with short line ups. Prevented from purchasing essential in stock pool chemicals courtesy of provincial restrictions however. Calcium hypochlorite isn't recreational when it comes to preventing algae growth in 80,000L of water.
Good price s Good selection Good bargains Shop there again!
Overcrowded , stresses me out even just being there . Good prices on produce but that’s the only reason for me personally to go
One of the better Costcos I've ever been to. Well signed, always friendly workers who are happy to help, excellent customer service overall. It isn't easy to find workers on the sales floor but when you do, they are helpful. Food in the food court is good. Propane refills are fairly quick & again good customer service. Not usually a very packed location so you aren't feeling trapped by too many bodies around like the Barrie location.
Super fast experience now that there is self serve. Great store, they made things look super convenient now inside. Great location.
This location is great. It very quick in and out every time. The only thing is that they don't carry Fibre one cereal.
Purchased gasoline for the first time. No lines. 99.9 for regular plus 4% rebate using my Capital One MC. Next gas station was 104.9. One tab with your Capital One MC/membership card that's it. Easy pesi. No line up going in the store. Perfect!
Who doesn't love Costco... it's in a very windy spot ( when the wind blows...lol
This is a good place to go and buy large amounts of things that you both need and do not need. Sometimes that line may blur so you gotta go with you gut.
Spent 10 mins chopping broccoli in my ready made salad. How do you expect me to get the kids to eat broccoli chopped like this. Please spend a little more time chopping at the store so I don't have to at home.
Always got groceries here before but the clothing is wonderful too
These folks are stringent with rules and I appreciate it. One must show membership when entering and must follow covid rules, and they make sure you do! Great job team! The store is very well organized and clean.
My wife stopped for our tire appointment at 6:45 PM and was told it would be a wait of 30 minutes. She was met with attitude when she asked for an update at 7:15 PM, It's now nearly 8:45 PM, she's the only one waiting, the store is closing, and she was just told "it should be done soon". We only have the one vehicle, so she's been stranded there for the entire 2 hour wait. If the tires weren't already on the car, I would cancel the entire purchase as well as my executive membership. The latter is still a possibility.
Prices are good but unless you go in there with tunnel vision to get only what you went in there for you'll end up leaving with $400 in your cart.
Great store and very clean and organized. And the people are very nice :)
This place is hit or miss. Sometimes you find great deals, and other times the price is what you would find elsewhere. It is always super crowded but they usually have enough registers open to keep the line moving at a reasonable pace. If you do plan on getting a membership, get the executive one. Yes, it is costly, but they will refund you the amount you have not used up to the membership cost - example let's say the card is $150, but I only spent $50 at Costco the whole year - they will send me a check of the difference ($100) so I can use instore later. I LOVE that feature.
The best overall big box store ever. Love this place. Shop there often
Great store with all the usual things you'd love in a Costco - bulk items at a reasonable price with an upstanding warranty. Per Covid-19 guidelines they are helping customers take proper social distancing measures, but I feel they could really benefit with some form of directional arrows as some customers take social distancing more seriously than others. Glad to see with all the madness they are still stocked to the brim with everything a person could want.
Marine deep cycle 27's with 6 hundred and something cca For 149 Hard to beat
Costco products and prices are hard to beat. With my business, I have to buy in bulk and it is one stop shopping. The staff were helpful and friendly. The crowd/COVID control was in place and I didn’t feel crowded. I had a full cart and they helped put purchases in my car. I had gone for one specific item and came out with a trunk load of deals!
Amazing job to the cashiers and helpers. We were at the dairy section in line and we made it to the front of the store in about 10 minutes.
Love the staff. Just like family. Edit - Today I was in to pick up some muffins for the crew at work. OMG. They were so fresh. Yummy yummy. Not as good as my wife's muffin, but it sure did the trick.
If I could give them O stars ...I would. My wife booked a tire installation and they were over 3 hour and nothing from management. As well, they didn't tighten my wife's tires enough. When I went to have them re-torques (at another garage) the mechanic could tighten some lug nuts with this hand . . DO NOT TAKE YOUR TIRES TO THIS LOCATION UNLESS YOU CAN WASTE A DAY!!!!
Shopped there on Dec. 20. At checkout after closing hours, the staff were cheerful, efficient, and even shared a laugh with us. I can’t imagine the crowds they’ve seen this week. I thanked them profusely and wished them well. Thanks for such excellence in your work.
I used to enjoy this Costco until I encountered Naomi Justin and Lidia horrible horrible rude people and they should not have Jobs in customer service. I have so much anxiety to come to this location now and it's all due to their own mess ups and disrespect ???? never have I ever been somewhere with such drama people.
Went during a snow storm. More employees than customers. No line up for fuel either.
Staff member Mark was extremely helpful and delivered amazing customer service. I bought 18 shelf units. He helped me through obtaining them as well as loading them into my truck. Super awesome service ???? Thank you Kimberly
Love this location. Not overcrowded, plenty of parking always available, easy to get through aisles, and has everything I need. It’s worth the drive there.
This Costco location often puts in new product so its interesting to see what shows up. The staff are very friendly and helpful, I lost my costco membership card while shopping today as it fell out of my back pocket and luckily someone brought it to customer service and I got it back! ❤
Very very helpful, I was so tired from being on my feet all day and wow the service was amazing, the cashier took sympathy on me and said let's get you out the door quickly.. thanks
How can you not just love Costco! Every location with few exceptions deserves a great rating thanks to great staff and management and a very obviously positive working environment. This location was all that!
Bad. Just bad. Pushed to purchase Executive membership after saying I didn't want it. Bought a 65" TV. Asked at front door for help loading it in my truck. Told to look around parking lot for someone. Asked where they were. Told three times by employee. "your guess is as good as mine". Three times! Not happy
This location is the best. They have a gas station here, which you can get done in ten minutes or less. Inside the store is also fast and efficient. I have never stood in a checkout line for more than 10 minutes.
Very surprised to see the high average rating here. In terms of selection and general store layout, it feels roughly the same as some other Costco locations in the area. Their cash out areas on the other hand are closer together than others I frequent. This wouldn’t be notable a couple years back, but presently people weren’t social distancing through checkout specifically because it’s very hard to do so. My limited experience with their staff also wasn’t promising. I recently spoke with costumer service for a pricing issue and found their handling of the situation lousy. I picked up a rug from a pile that had mixed selection (there were only 2 near identical to the one I grabbed) and only one price tag related to rugs in the area. The listed tag was roughly $15 and upon cashing out it came up as $20. Customer service were somewhat snarky in how they said the tag above the product was not for the one I grabbed and that people move products all the time. They sent someone to go look and could not find any other area or price tag for the mat I grabbed. They would not honour the price of the only tag they had next to the only area they kept those mats, which I may add was a measly 25% ($5) difference. As an “executive member”, which obviously means very little at this location, despite what they say, I find it amusing they won’t absorb a tiny price difference generated by their own misleading product placement. This very likely was some old stock item that they cleared out and just tossed onto another slightly lower price stack of similar items hoping someone will grab it and check out quickly. Personally I’ll avoid this Costco, but to each their own.
I have shopped at the St Catharines store for years until they closed it. Staff was always helpful and friendly. This Stoney Creek store is NOT that. Staff is very rude and demanding. Will not go back ever again. I completely understand the new covid rules and follow them closely. That is not my complaint. The staff are incredibly rude. Best way to describe them. They will not help and walk around like they have a much better place to be. Horrible customer service.
Best Costco I've been too
I am so thankful that Costco finally came to Orillia. Wonderful helpful staff who actually look like they enjoy working there. I think that I was one of the first customers when they opened to go to their hearing aid center. Had been putting off getting hearing aids for a long time. Silvia the clinician with her professional, caring help finally came me the confidence to get them. She explained every step of the way with humor and insight as to what was making me nervous. Highly recommend Costco, the Hearing Center, and the optical center.
I love this store but it is getting more and more expensive.
Crazy busy with the check out line right to the back of the store. Staff were great and had us checked out in no time. Very efficient
They will not issue a refund on memberships if you are an unsatisfied customer. This is supposed to be company policy
I always go to Costco in orrilia your always in and out fast thank you for your good services Costco
Dec/10/2021 9.50 am. The staff at the entrance is only checking the items of selected people. She searched my cart with her hand. ( not allowed at this pandemic time, she must have to request) Im not a thief and also I paid in self checking then why she is searching my cart.
Quiet. Clean. Great helpful staff.
Prices that are posted are different at cash Over crowded no social distancing. Wont be rushing back
Its Costco. So it you pretty much know what to expect. Large location, great staff, and tasty food at the takeout counter. Rarely are there lines at the registers, and if there is it won't take long to get checked out. There is a Gas Bar in the Parking lot for discount fuel, as well as propane. Due to COVID, on busy days there might be a line to get into the warehouse, but like the register lines, it also moves fast.
The new store caters more to businesses than the families in the province and have way less varieties for the general population to benefit from. Also do not like the floor plan especially where the bars, nits, etc. are. Several times the staff were yelling for customers to keep moving through and not stop to browse because it would block the aisles. I felt like an animal being herded. How insulting! Sorry, but I think this is so rude!
Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Large variety. And covid managed..
As Costcos go, this is very large and seems to have a staff that is happier than most I have been to.
Nothing but incompetence and lies. Save yourself a lot of time and get your tires put on someplace else. I ordered tires for my truck, I talked to The Costco tire team on the phone three times before I came to get my tires installed. The first time they asked for the make and model of vehicle and then the size of tire I wanted, they didn’t say anything about not being able to put the tires on the truck. The next two times I called, I made sure to mention that the tires are a little bit bigger than the original ones and again they said that wouldn’t be a problem. I get up to the store check in and start shopping when I get a call from the tire guys saying that they will not install the tires on my truck because there is a 0.4% difference in the size. The overall Difference in the radius of the tire is only 1”. I understand they have a policy, I am not upset that they couldn’t install them. Had I know they couldn’t install them I would have went someplace else and not planned my weekend around getting tires put on at Costco. I am upset because they told me they would put them on when I talked to them on the phone All three times but refused to put them on when I was there. The guy at the tire counter said he was a manager (I later found out he wasn’t. He’s just a weekend warrior who thinks he’s more than he is) he was very unfriendly to the point of almost being rude, and that was just checking in. When everything was said and done and they refunded my installation I went to get my truck. I went around to the door and the guy that took the tires out of the back of my truck had them all thrown inside on top of everything else I had in the box. I think he could see the shock/disappointment on my face because he apologized and said he didn’t know how I want them back in, he then walked away to the tire machine and started chatting with the other employees there leaving my new tires on the floor beside the truck and my old ones thrown loosely in the truck. I was going to say how about you put them back in the way you took them out but I didn’t think it was worth it. I ended up just unloading the tires that were already in the truck and putting everything in myself while the tire employees got caught up chatting amongst themselves. What a horrible experience, I will never get anything done at their tire centre again. I called the store on the way home and the manager is supposed to call me on Monday or Tuesday. I am not sure what he is going to do but this is completely unacceptable. Most companies, when they make a mistake, make it right. This Costco just told me that I couldn’t have called and they have no idea who I was talking to if I did. Instead of making things right they just left a customer out in the cold. So he basically told me that I was lying and never called or some stranger walked behind the tire counter, answered their phone, and gave me incorrect information about the tires. Seriously, what a joke!
Great, cashier lines moved very quickly ????
Lines go fast, products are usually cheaper here than other places and the food court is great.
I renewed my phone at the kiosk with Virgin Mobile last Christmas. I have been a loyal customer of Virgin and Costco. I was excited to get a better phone for the same monthly price plus 2G's of data. This was how it was explained to me. 15 months later my fee goes up $10. I called Virgin they said it was in the contract, not once did the salesperson tell me this! Very deceptive, beware they don't explain everything to you just to close the deal! Deceptive practices.
Awesome service and really good food
late afternoon Sunday visit..no line up to enter store..was hoping to buy clothes and shoes..unfortunately certain areas of store aren't accessible..stupid govt. rules..you might be able to see what you want behind the roped off area...but you can't buy it
There is a lot of variety here, good for a large family. Most cases you will save money just because you buy in bulk. Easy to get around in despite being busy and checking out is faster then it looks.
Clean store, lots of assorted products, but not a vast selection of what you may be looking. As with every Costco I have ever been in thier parking lot is never big enough. It seems this chain limits store numbers and all are almost always very busy. Not always the cheapest.. know your prices before you go. There are some deals but I still find having to pay a yearly fee to buy something from them distasteful.
Was there at the self check out around 11 and 11.30 am the guy there was very helpful he is very good for busy and i am a out of town guest
Costco is a great place to shop. This one has the best experience by far. Great customer service and great shoppers put this Costco as my favorite to utilize for all my pandemic shopping. Costco can be a difficult because of its great deals its highly frequented especially during lockdown. But I was surprised to be greeted with such kindness calm and respect from staff as well as fellow shoppers. Thank you for such a relieving customer experience.
This is a great Costco store in a good location. It's easy to get to and the store is clean and very well organized. There are also a lot of supplementary stores in close vicinity such as LCBO and others for one stop shopping...!
Need more tills open. Long line to pay. Other than that...good. Heads up...optical doesn't sell safety glasses. Rather strange!
I am always lucky to get stuff in Costco Orilia whereas the stock is not available in other Costco's
I love everything about costco... especially the food freshness and the excellent return policy. Its my favorite place to shop, both in person and at costco.ca
It was way to crowded and I didn't enjoy my shopping experience at all.
This is easily the best Costco in the area (better than Burlington, way better than Ancaster). Good selection of items, not too busy, excellent staff (helpful, efficient and friendly). Even months after posting this review, it's still true.
This newer location is often busy, but they seem to have the expected Costco flow down to an art. The self-checkouts are super handy when you have a small cart. Products are consistently identified and priced; aisles are clear. Ordering kiosks at the restaurant are neat and super easy to use. My initial visit to renew my membership was a little shaky, but it seems that it may have simply been a matter of the customer service associate just having a bad day.
Great selection and pricing. Carts are sanitized. Mask required, other than that , basically the same as usual.
The items that I usually get at Costco, I was able get today. As usual, I spent more than I intended to. ☺️ I didn't have to wait in a line before entering the store! I went through the checkout relatively quickly. The Orillia store was quite clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.
Soooo appreciative....we have a 50 yr severely handicapped family member...no power scooters were available but cart boys went out to the parking lot to find and bring one back to us! Definitely worth the drive to shop at Costco Orillia!!!!
The most amazing experience. Wow! First time yesterday. Signed up as a member. The staff were helpful, caring and quick to help with what I needed. You could tell they enjoy their jobs, focus on their customers to meet their needs and genuinely interested in helping. Such a breath of fresh air. They made my shopping so easy from start to finish, expert care and concern. Realized I was there just past closing hour, but no announcement to on the speaker to tell me to leave. I was treated with genuine respect as a customer. Wow! From Nikki at customer member service, to Joshua who explained some of the areas I was interested in to Davide who detoured to help me get my bbq grill and propane tank, to the Costco gentleman who had clearly finished work and was making his way to his car when he saw me putting away my new propane tank and offered to fill it to save me a return trip and to allow me to fire up the grill as he put it. Another wow. Consistent amazing service here. Thank you Costco Orillia! You guys rock! Life is Good! :)
This is the best Costco I've ever been to. Never overly busy like Ancaster or Burlington.
Often crowded with staff and other customers neglecting social distancing and flow protocols; you can use your shopping cart to thwart it. 4-5 stars if we weren't in the middle of a pandemic.
I like Costco, but this location is very poorly managed. Rather than informing customers of imminent closing times, or offering increased service to hurry customer shopping ahead of closing, the employees progressively barricade sections of the store inexplicably and with no notice, so customers literally can't finish their shopping trips. Employees constructing the barricade simply stand there leisurely doing nothing, just wasting hourly company dollars. I've worked at numerous retail stores, and this is the worst, most wildly ineffectual method of closing shop I have ever witnessed. I can only assume that, while Costco the company is great, this particular location is run by incompetent halfwits. It's sad.
Great place. Same as any other costco. Great staff. Very clean.
Huge lineup but not because of Covid 19 protocols but because there were no carts available. They were all in the parking lot. No one shops here without a cart.
Was disappointed because regular items I buy, there was none.
Really clean, following all the sops. Fresh produce, the car service was done in a much more reasonably low price than your big chain ones, and the pharmacy staff was really patient and helpful with my mother's several detailed questions! ????
Wonderful staff. Huge warehouse. If you go, you will spend at least 45 minutes there more likely an hour just to circle round. Motorised scooter carts available.
My favourite Costco to shop at :) typically busy (as expected) but the size of the store can help ease claustrophobia. Great variety of products ranging from produce to clothes to automotive. The online store is also quite handy. The gas station is large as well.
It's Costco. The $300 dollar store. Great stuff, awesome food. But your gonna drop at least $300 every time you walk through the door.
The size of the store is amazing, bigger isles, more products and a gas station. There are self check out lines for the very rare occasion when you go into a Costco for one or two items and don't want to wait in a larger line. The only thing I'd like to see at this location is to be able to pay for the gas with cash, debit and credit only. Other than that, amazing place.
They have some nice employees but nobody ever answers the phones
Absolutley amazed by the customer service at the Tire Center. I have been to many Costco's all around GTA, some of the tire center employees are terrible and have don't care attitude but the team here is amazing. Keep up the good work.
Always good prices but gas was only 2 cents less than other stations so not worth the wait.
Did not have all products that we wanted but a good store
Great store. Much bigger than Ancaster store so never feels overcrowded.
Evil store, but in a good way had all you need and want! Staff are awesome. But dam it give a girl a bag for fries and wings! Lol ....I always forget my bags at home it's my course lol.
The customer service of Costco St Johns is awful. Specially if you are looking for a item. Today I went to the podium and asked to the lady with glasses if they have a special kind of chair and she told me that If I am shopping its my job to look for the item I want. I felt she was very rude towards me. I was just asking if they have it. I felt frustrated after that. But I am not saying all of the employees are rude. There are lot of good employees. Just depends on what kind of person you are.
Absolutely terrible social distancing. Costco is not following any of the required rules. Unacceptable for a major corporation to act in such an inappropriate manner. They have signs posted but don't follow them. Ridiculous corporate leadership.
Missed the store even though I knew it's location as I hadnot been there before it's actually "hidden" behind the metro. If you don't take the metro entrance youu will miss it & keep driving The store had copious quantities of what I was requiring A GR8 staff friendly & helpful not only to me but their fellow employees One young ladies helped me load & her compatriot come to help her Fantastick Will go back
Preferred going to this Costco location vs the one close to me. Store is laid out better. Will be coming back
Good gas price. Wish they had separate line for people filling Extra gas containers .
Staff were helpful it helping us choose the right TV. It was a great experience. Only needed the one thing, so didn't really walk around the rest of the store this time.
I just love Costco they have so many different things. Love the meat and veggies ???? They have it all. Clothes shoes bedding tools. You name they have it.
Busy, well stocked and friendly staff
Extreme overcrowding, not an enjoyable place to shop.
The nature of Costco is no mystery to its members. Pleasant staff. Significant savings. Some unique and excellent products. Grimsby store is usually quick.
Always good except for today when I opened my seasoned pork ribs and they are bad, expires Nov,13/21 should pull them off the shelf, and I would like my money back, $26.30, thank you
Exceptional customer service. They will go above and beyond for their customers. Cant recommend enough and they constantly have great buys and selection.
Reason for 3 clean quiet, and not many people shopping, we stopped by for a hot dog and cool drink the dog had no taste to it flat and heavy on stomach after eating ,no hurry going back.
Strange to see how empty it was on a Friday afternoon just before a long holiday weekend. I love the addition of the self-service tellers, which are great for quick purchases. Their new order-and- pay-for- your-food option at the fast food counter works very well; I received my order within 5 minutes. It is also very convenient that upon leaving I could fill up my car with gas at their gas station at a much lower rate anywhere else.
Had to make a quick run into Costco to pick up my new sunglasses.I am very pleased with the colour of the lens and the fit of the glasses. The frames are lovely, although a little heavier than I would have liked. I'm sure I will be used to them before long. We finally have sunshine in Newfoundland and I don't want to lose a minute of it. With my new sunglasses I'm sure I can spend a lot more time outdoors without a headache due to the bright sunlight.
Costco has always been a pleasant experience up until the last time. The cashier associate Ashley was extremely rude to us and especially my father. Throwing rude comments and not appropriate tone of voice. That ruined our whole experience. I hope that we will never have to face that associate again.
This store is always clean and organized. Staff members are very helpful and informative. We've shopped here since it opened and the store has always been well stocked . Even during the thick of pandemic I always felt safe in coming to shop there. Thank you for always beening open when I needed to shop.... My husband and I joke when I go to COST OF PLENTY
Good time to shop here is before noon Wednesday's and Thursday afternoons after 2. Pure vanilla has dropped in price to $29.99 from a high of $40.00.Vac pak of famous Schwartz's Smoked meat Brisket $16.99kg can't wait to pile some on fresh rye bread with lots of mustard.
Thursday @5pm the gas station was packed. The store was busy. I did self serve checkout and grabbed a twist cone no waiting. Steaks were fantastic.
Good news center aisle is always changing with great stuff... bad news the center aisle has great stuff...can save money on center aisle if you need it. Watch your impulse purchases.
The cashier was not very nice. Didn't listen to what I was asking for when I kept repeating myself . And then say I didn't tell her before she total the bill. If she takes the time to listen and be more cooperative than I can say my experience was good. FYI. I was very patient. I wasn't rude. But another customer was complaining to the cashier about me taking too long. I stand in line just like everyone else and don't complain. So NO. My experience was Not good.
Sometimes it's hit or miss for products that you usually like to buy. Sometimes the substitutions offered are even better. However lately the tellers are a bit rough with the food when going through the check out.
I stopped shopping here with my wife - not sure why? We started again and despite being such a huge place they really have great deals. Lines move quickly.
Good location! Staff is helpful and things are where they should be. Definitely in my top favorites list
"Wear your mask! Cover your nose". Bla bla bla. Buy everything here by the wheelbarrow full and throw the rest away. Truth is the quality is always good and a great return policy. Look at my receipt if you want but enough nagging if my nose is completely covered. I had covid it wasn't worse than a bad cold
As a consumer we have many Costco locations in Southern Ont. to shop. But not all are equal in customer service! I'd like to say thanks for your outstanding service Carol at this St.Creek store. I'm from out of town by over 1 hr. Carol made an effort to accommodate my request and did it 100% to my satisfaction. Keep up the great work!!!
Would have been five stars but there is no where to sit if waiting for new tires....
Much better than the Barrie store. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. Orillia is now my preferred Costco.
No line!!! Amazing. Clean. Just watch the cashiers they are the only ones allowed to scan your stuff at self checkout and mine had messed up. Read your receipt before you pay and after
Shame on Costco for installing self checkout machines. Costco has always had a reputation as a leader in retail employment. Robots don't contribute to the local economy, pay taxes or add any pleasantries to ones shopping experience. The most basic return any business can provide to its community is employment. Costco and other retailers should remember robots dont buy groceries or televisions or sports gear....
Experienced very poor customer service, while trying to get propane. The store was opening, 10 mins before actual opening time, maybe my mistake as well, I figured once the store was open and allowing customers In, services would be available, so I rang for assistance to get my tanks filled. I was met rudely by a gentlemen, that told me they would not open until exactly 9am, and would not come out until then. I just replied okay, now worries, I’m in no rush. Which is fine, I assumed wrong, but a little kindness goes a long way instead of being ignorant! Then comes out and plays games, won’t acknowledge that my son and I are even standing there, no talking, wouldn’t even look at us. Goes back into the building as he comes out unprepared. If your going to work in the customer service field, showing some skills in the department should be asset. If you can’t handle being kind and professional. Work some where else.
Always a great selection. With new stuff always circulating. Produce is great quality with affordable pricing. Photo center is quick. The fast food is a little unorganized and hectic. Wait times for food is usability long
Chaos ???? one stop shop. Great products and value.
So much to chose from, nice and clean, friendly staff.
I shop here alot... great for fruits veggies, school snacks, yogurts, milk, cream.... etc sadly I find the meats very expensive. The pork tubes are reduced in size but up in price... ribs only have two racks now and are more pricey. I cant afford the beef steaks ir roasts here sadly... great for chicken drums and wings though
We were there early enough that it wasn't very crowded. Great staff.
Although the membership fee is too much, they have great combination of wholesales stuff.
Needed to get a small TV and kinda surprised to get so much help from the employees. Couple of young guys, very knowledgeable.
Busy at times but customer service is efficient and professional.
Costco lives up to it's nick name the $200.00 club. There's a great selection and things you would have never thought about buying. Although since the covid, prices are souring and quality I'd dropping, meats, fruits, selection has all taken a hit. It's not unusual to get meat that's on the brink of spoilage and fruit that's half rotten. It's really to bad as Costco was always my go to place for the best and freshest.
Orillia Costco is so much nicer and cleaner !!! It's worth the drive !
One of best places to renew or start a cell phone contract. Way better than going to a provider due to the $200 to $300 worth of Cosco gift cards and free wireless ear buds
It was absolutely crazy busy today, but the lines moved quite well. Huge fall mums were 12.99.Awesome!
Love it!! Wish I could leave the store without spending 400.00 though ... lol
During lockdown this Costco was awesome. Today way too many people in the store and the checkout line went from the front of the store to the back.
Store is great and has most things. Some things are really good prices, others not so much. People tend to be crazy cart drivers as well.
Cashier was awful. Friend wanted to use gift card, made her get a day pass. I'm member. Was unhelpful and rude. My friend is Black. My friend was trying costco for first time but won't go back. Very disappointed.
If you have room to store items Costco is your place to shop. Love it..
Who doesn't love Costco? But u always spend more than u planned on .
Busy at the gas pumps but the line moved well and the price was the best. Store was busy as well groceries are going up and up.
Got there early on a sunday morning and there was a huge line, but I got in quickly. Kinda a disaster inside but that was more about lockdown being lifted friday and less about the store it self. Got what needed with no problems. Will have to check it out when things are less crazy.
Was well maintained and things kept safe. Staff were great.
The service was an excellent the building was very clean and the eye and my wife it was very satisfied
Good warehouse not much wait times espeacially around 230 pm
I do like Costco. But I don't like when they sell a product then discontinue it. They sold RINSE N GO and now getting the replacement packs are hard to get. I have to order on line from the states. It's expensive
First time I used a self checkout at a Costco. Apparently this new feature is being tested at this store. Best update EVER!!! Self checkout should be rolled out to all the Costco stores. The only thing I don't like about shopping at a costco is the long wait times at checkout and self checkout speeds it up so much for people who have a few items!!!
Started off great but was in here today at 1pm and only half the registers open (each one at minimum 6 full carts deep) and a lady at the end PUSHING self checkout. Self checkout works great if I'm buying one or two things but no good for Costco visits. I'll give them one more try but if this the trend I'll be cancelling my membership. Standing in line for 15-20 minutes isn't worth the agony when they have the capacity to be serving many more people.
My favorite store, get my weekly groceris there plus anything else i might need.
Great costco - staff are very friendly and the store is always well kept.
Can't stand Costco, madness on the inside and out, staff is overwhelmed and rude. To top it all off you have to pay to shop there. Products come in larger sizes but if you do the math the prices are pretty much the same. Went for a friend, will not be getting a membership.
I just want to share my experience with the tire center. I order a set of tires from Costco, but they didn’t carry my size of wheel. I contacted them to ask if I could take the tires as they don’t sell rims that fit but they advised the tires had to be installed at their warehouse. I went and bought wheels from another shop and was given a manufacturers guarantee that they would fit. I brought my brand new 2021 Durango RT to the shop. And when I say brand new, it has less than 2000 km. About 1 hour into the tire change I got a call saying that the wheels don’t fit and was provided some options, put the summer tires back on or change the summer rims to the winter wheels. No problem, I asked them to put the summer tires back on and I would reach out to the people who sold me the rims. Once I looked at the rims that I was going to need to send back, I realized that they were damaged during installation. Not only were the rims scratches but the Brembo brake calipers were scratched! I contacted their customer support line who told me I would have to call the warehouse to start an incident claim. They warned me ahead of time that the tire shop may be hesitant to start an incident claim and provided me the number for member benefits as well. I called the tire shop, and spoke to their manager Matt or Ned, I could never understand what he was saying. He told me that they change the tires on 60-70 vehicles per day and sometimes this type of damage happens during installation. They just “bolt on the wheels and if they damage the vehicle then it’s not their fault”. Now the place where I bought the wheels is not returning because the wheels are damaged and the manager told me they would “figure it out” but told me that he can’t start an incident unless I physically go back and see him? I can’t imagine that a huge corporation like Costco wouldn’t be able to start an incident online. Regardless, I’m shocked at the customer service and I will be following up with my lawyer concerning the entire incident. Just food for thought before bringing your car to this place, they will not support you if something happens to your vehicle.
Fantastic. A little crowded but smooth sailing. To many people wearing stinky perfumes. Gross. The majority I think would rather not smell them either . It's bad when the whole aisle is full of people it only takes one person to stink it up. Ya don't need the whole bottle. Lmao ????.
It was five years since I've been to Costco. This location is the biggest I've been in
On site best gas prices.
Always busy however you will absolutely find whatever you need
Great staff and not as busy as other Costcos
Most helpful - they actually answer their phone and answer your questions.
Very clean and well organized even at the busiest times.
Costco is great, a lot of great deals on everyday items in quantity that will last a week or two saving more money in long run then conventional grocery stores.
This is a great place to get your groceries done. It's is also a great place to get electronics at. I got a laptop from here and it is amazing. They also have a great cafeteria place where you can get pizza, wings, and so much more. I really like their ice cream, it is really good. They have great service and really nice staff. I mentioned my birthday to one of the staff members and she and her co-worker said happy birthday and really made my day.
It's never as busy as the Barrie location. Employees were polite and helpful.
It was crazy. People going in all different directions. The isles had know arrows. Some didn't care how close the got to you. Sad and frustrating. Cashing out was very fast and organized. Only 2 stars. Government regulations on social distancing was not in place.
Everybody loves Costco, don't they ????
Store was busy but the lines moved quickly
The Orillia Costco is great, the staff are friendly and helpful, the store is always well stocked, clean and bright. Also, other than mid day on the weekend it never seems too busy. In comparison I was in the Barrie store a week or so beforehand and it was crowded, people were rude and the staff not available to assist.
I had a rebate cheque and went through the self checkout only to be told that my transaction had to be suspended and rung up at a different till. The employee complained about how short staffed they were in having to do this for me. At my request she brought a manager over who merely stated that this is the same at all stores but wasn't all interested in my suggestion that signage indicate this policy at the point of entry to the self checkout. I am going to investigate this matter further at their corporate level and seek out more senior contacts that can affect this change.
Unpleasant and nonvsatisfie experience, at Costco tire center . It's was very obvious that technicians were on very slow pace of performance and do not care about customers waiting time at all. Dropped off my care to swap tires at 9:25 which was about 15 min before my scheduled appointment ( as instcruted ) , while there was only one vehicle inside the garage . I came back after 45 min ,they told me they haven't started yet ! Came back 30 min later ,the car was on the hoist with the tires still on it .. I do believe technicians must be supervised and questioned about the number of service they perform per hour otherwise the service will not improve!!
Good place to shop also love the food at restaurant inside
I have been there to fill gas whole going to naigra, thought to buy something from food court, 17 people are ahead of me walk in easily, no ask for anything, moment my wife and I walk in she, suddenly realized for membership card to ask, not sure what made her think that I don't have membership card, lol, no comments no argue, show her and just walk-in, never understand what policy they follow to check membership card. Anyway it is not new for me. But if you want to make sure membership card then please ask everyone who eneter store not special people like me,????
Always find what I need at Costco. The employees are friendly, ive only ever had one issue since they've opened so I consider that a win. They've been doing good following covid protocol
Interesting that in a time we are trying to minimize contact. Costco have there employee's still checking recipients at the exit and no sanitizing between the customers? Don't normally write any reviews unless positive but seems like a really corporate thought of stupidity. Was bored at customer service waiting for a family member to redo a membership and watched this for awhile not just a one time mistake.
Great! Social distancing was marked out well and everyone had masks on.
Self checkout is great and a very helpful attendant.
Always go to Costco. Everytime we go to st John's we make the trip there. They have such a selection of stuff.
Found everything and more. Busy spot, bit managed to get through quickly. Staff were very helpful
What can I say. I love Costco. Great merchandise and food. Bought strawberries that actually taste like strawberries. Also, Fresh Pickeral, gift basket. And a full cart of many other items. All excellent quality.
Enjoy shopping there ???? has great stuff and great deals too.
We live in Barrie and quite often drive to this location, better customers, they have items not available in Barrie and the parking lot us set up with thought in mind.
Absolutely terrible tire center. What’s the point of getting appointment almost 25 days in advance when they take your car in after two hours. This is insane and ridiculous. Please avoid this tire center at any cost.
Store wasn't too crowded. A wide variety and large quantities of food products.
Good place to shop. Even with membership fee, you can save on many items and get great value for your dollar. I have been using the audiology lab at costco Orillia for the past 5 years. The staff has been absolutely fantastic in taking care of my needs. Sylvia has been extremely helpful and determined my hearing loss quickly. Glenn at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. I extremely pleased with my experience and highly recommend this location.
Ordered a stove, dishwasher, and TV. All 3 showed up damaged. 2 of the 3 said 4-10 business days delivery, it took 3+ weeks. Now that we sent the broken items back it will take minimum 3 weeks for the product that is "In-Stock" to arrive. Costco says there is nothing they can do to speed this up. DO NOT BUY ONLINE, buy your stuff in the store. This is ridiculous.
Just finished doing my groceries with my mother at the Stoney Creek Costco location. We have been coming to this location for awhile now and never had issues until this morning. We had a very unpleasant encounter with the cashier Kevin. As we were cashing out he gave us our total and my mom did not realize she left her money at home, she changed purses and sometimes things like this can happen to any of us. It was an accident and never happened before. I then had to pay which was no problem however Kevin decided to make a comment about my mother saying "wow she has a purse but no money in it" he whispered it to the other employee who loads the carts. This is very unprofessional and my mother heard him say this. This made my mother very upset as it was a mistake and like I said we never had any issues whenever we go to Costco. DEAR COSTCO, you should do something about this, as you promise that your customer service is top notch and your employees are excellent. Well Kevin is not, he needs to work on his attitude and patience especially working in the customer service/retail area. Unacceptable.
It is our best Costco location, always going there on our trip to northern Ontario. They always have surprises for us, in the form of products, that we cannot see them in Toronto. Their new automated service at fast food location is a real outstanding, from ordering, paying, a getting our order it took 3 minutes max. Please, see pictures below this post. Not a busy location yet, and we like it that way. Lines for gas are max of 1 to 3 cars, so one is on the road in no time. Strongly recommend that location.
Always jam packed. Lines move fast with plenty of check outs. Good selection with many unique products.
A well known wholesale store with membership system. It's located just beside the highway and the store size is satisfactory. There is sufficient parking and there are not long queues to get in currently. There is also a gas bar and the prices are always cheaper. The customer service is pretty nice and there seems to be sufficient staff
Love this place, unique food items you can't find in other grocery stores. Staff is always friendly and helpful! The only complaint I have is the way they pack your buggy when checking out, I purposely put all my heavy items on the belt first to make it easy for them but everytime the heavy items end up going in last on top of the bread and salads, I guess some training it needed.
Great place to shop in Orillia also the people looking after you are so kind. I wish I new the young guys name that helped us gather our vanity in the SUV he should get a gold star.
this place is disgraceful i was trying to feed my two year old and they kicked us out and forced me to feed him outside in the freezing rain how anyone can do that to a child and mother i pray for your soul
Had trouble getting new phone connected to Costco app. Tried to get new pass word. Could not get email back. They said just go out side and try. They could not help. It was not my service that was the problem. I just said to hell with Costco and I will shop else ware.
Cashier wasn't friendly. I am a short woman it was hard to see the debit machine very high up. She was getting a liitle ancy because I was taking too long.
Good Costco love the price of Skullcandy Indy anc fuel got them for $80
Big store, Big selection. Lots of checkouts and staff. Busy store but efficient and courteous staff make the difference.
N95 masks are handy and well priced...
Nice and clean with self check out and I like that, I don't have to wait inline
Brand new community Center, very clean and open. Checked out the pool, very nice. Only issue I had was the shower was very cold.
Such a joke! My daughters mask had broken last night when we were shopping, no one said anything to her for an hour well shopping in the store but as soon as we had got to cash the cashier made a seen and acted like she had a disease. It was so uncalled for and so unprofessional. Its bad enough we have to wear the dam things in the first place but to be centered out by this cashier was so uncalled for. Then she called a manager over to ring us through, because heaven forbid she did it. The manager was so pleasant and so nice and apologized for her behavior. Then the cashier brought him gloves and told him that we have to sanitize the whole station down after we were done because she wasn't using it again which makes no sense because everyone that comes through there touches their groceries to. Talk about overplayed dramatics. You should really get staff more professional that don't act like 2 yr olds and go gossip when something like this happens. Stop with all the bs Costco!!
Current health protocols in place. Good variety of what you expect from Costco. Friendly staff willing to help. Fuel available at this location. Store is neat, tidy and clean.
It was a good experience. Got in as soon as it opened and cashiers were not too busy so it was a quick exit.
