Leaving a good review because I DIDN'T have to use their services. I called and reported a problem with a chair mechanism and they gave me feedback that they would not really do anything different than the troubleshooting steps I had done, but would have to charge me for it. They could have easily had me paying to diagnose and repair. I really appreciate this kind of integrity and will choose this business for all my future upholstery needs.

Dropped off two seat cushions for the boat. They replaced foam and material in approximately 24hrs they were ready for pick up. I'd gone in previously and picked out material and made the drop off appointment. The staff was courteous and friendly. Helped match the material colour. I work shifts so I dropped off the seats the afternoon before I started (Tuesday) and they were ready Thursday afternoon before my shift ended so I picked up Friday morning due to my schedule. Hubby took them back to the lake that weekend.

Needed to get a cushion for my couch repaired. The fabric had been shredded by my idiot dog. Friendly, expert staff examined it on the spot, explained the repair and quoted a reasonable cost and date for completion. They called to tell me it was ready and when I picked it up, they had done a fine job and charged significantly less than quoted. 10/10 will be back.

We took our leather chair to Braithwaits for the arms to be recovered, they told us it would take 6 weeks to complete, 8 weeks later we called to see if it was ready. No one seemed to know anything about it, we asked them to call back to let us know what’s happening, we received no call. Today we went in to get some answers, nothing was ordered Nothing was done. We took it home to discover the studs are damaged and the part of the chair that doesn’t need repair is damaged! Extremely unprofessional! We do not recommend this business. The only reason we give it 1 star is so we could leave this review. Buyer beware!

An absolute HUGE thank you to Braithwaite’s for this custom hearth bench they made for us. When we moved into our new home we loved the fireplace but the hard, sharp stone was a scary place for our little who had just starting pulling up on things. It seemed like his only goal was to pull up and walk along it all day. ????. I did not want to surround it in some ghastly gate or a wall of pool noodles. We brought them a plywood frame that covered the stone and asked them to make us a bench so that the fireplace could be safe, aesthetically pleasing and also provide some more seating when we had guests…and they DID. It is amazing and we are so thrilled. Thank you again!!!

Had a headliner made for our little international, installed ourselves and it was slightly too big. They used old liner to pattern the new one, so not sure why it turned out to be too big. Took truck in to have it trimmed and reinstalled, they add more buttons and left it too big. It’s sagging and buttons keep popping. Going to have to have it remade (elsewhere) and use screws and caps. Using plastic buttons was our mistake but service/cost second time around and not fixed properly when asked to trim and fix is theirs. Very disappointed. Will not be taking back there to have doors done. Reply: I have a receipt from the second time in that says I was charged for the work the second time. Regardless of original condition, which you were informed of, you took the job and it was not done properly upon bringing it in for adjustment. I will not recommend your shop due to these conditions. Most old vehicles have mouse and warping issues, so does this mean you can’t do old restorations properly due to mice or pattern issues? If I was a person looking for a restore place your comment would lead me to believe you could not.

I have been working with Braithwaites for several months now. My sister has cancer and we purchased a pedicab a while back to get her out and enjoying life more. ???? This business and their staff have been kind and understanding and had an answer to all our needs. Recently the pedicab was vandalized and we returned it to Braithwaites to have it repaired. They got us in the next day and to our amazement they had the work completed in a few hours! They also refused payment for the repair as we had been regular customers and they empathized with our situation. So kind! I cannot say enough about the service and personal connection with the staff at Braithwaites! I highly recommend them not only for the quality of work they do but also their personal connection with their customers.
