I often pass by this location while browsing the many clothing stores inside Stone Road Mall, but it is rare that I enter American Eagle. After my most recent experience I would be surprised if I ever find myself inside this store again in my lifetime. It was a relatively busy afternoon when I walked through the crowded retail space and staff members seemed to be feeling overwhelmed. I don't often find employees in this store to be particularly helpful but I would, at the very least, expect them to be polite to customers. This was certainly not the case on this particular occasion. A rude staff member working at the checkout counter demanded that all guests line up in a specific formation, which was extremely illogical given the scarce amount of space to walk within the small store. The employee seemed short tempered and unnecessarily demanding for someone tasked with being the face of the store's customer service experience. A word of advice, don't accept a job in retail if you are unwilling to deliver an enthusiastic level of service to those supporting your business financially. It seems rather counterintuitive to be rude to those attempting to spend money in your store.

Had an amazing experience at American Eagle today at Midtown ???? I usually hate buying jeans as I'm super tall and skinny so it's hard finding the a pair that fit at a good price, received a lot of help choosing the right pair of jeans from a lovely woman who also told us the hot deals and informed that they could order in some extra long trousers in for me as I have long legs???? so I decided to go with 2 pairs then at the till the young woman helping said that one of the jeans were out of stock in a size 0 extra long which saddened me however she brought out a tablet and looked at other options for me and we went with another similar pair. Will definitely be coming again. Those two ladies deserve a pay raise for the brilliant customer service they give out! ♥

Really unprofessional and very young salespersons who haven't been trained the right way. Unable to guide customers properly and for example, one of the staff almost made me pay full price for a pair of pants where it was supposed to be 60% off without noticing it!! I was very much aware it was on sale but the person insisted it wasn't, so had to call the manager to deal with this so that they acknowledge there was a scan problem... It was a total circus and nobody really took care of my case and even felt like they were sending me packing like the cash meant nothing to them lol !..

Everyone here is very kind and makes helpful recommendations! They always check for sizes in the back and genuinely look like they enjoy their jobs. Deducted 1 star due to the stock available at this location (online orders take a long time and aren’t convenient).

fitting room was not staffed, so my friend and I tried the fitting room door and it was unlocked so we assumed we could just walk into the change room. We were then rudely told to get out of the change room because we had not been let in and that using their fitting room was "not ok". There was no sign out saying to wait for someone to let us into a change room. This experience left us feeling uncomfortable and embarrased. would not recommend this store to a friend.

Alex, Cashier ah9515 in Guelph is amazing - I strolled in with a less than ideal arm full of garments to return and 5 mins left in the store being open - he totally, made my day with his patience, quick wit & assistance. So refreshing, especially after the last 18 months of very limited in-store shopping, to be helped in person by someone as vibrant as him. ????

Had great customer service experience here. One of the employees approached me asking if I need help finding anything. She took me around the store and helped me pick out the perfect gift for my girlfriend! Without the help of the employee, I would have walked in the store aimlessly and probably walked out empty handed if it wasn't for the great customer service.
