I live in Brampton and go to this store quietly frequently. They have some good deals and nice things,
The staff are not so great, today April 26th 2020 I visited the store. Upon arrive, there were 3 staff at the entrance door trying to fix the issue because they door would not open automatically when customers approached. I sat in my car for a few minutes because I thought maybe they were closed. After about 2mins I saw a couple enter the store. So I googled the store hours and saw they closed 8pm, i got there 7:23pm,
Upon approaching the entrance door, there was no line (due to the social distance protocol in place) I saw one of the employees outside the door as the other 2 staff were on the other side of the door. As I walked up to the door , the staff outside looked me right in the face and didn’t say anything to me, so I did not say anything to her. After a few seconds she opened the door manually and said “you can go” at which point I entered the store.
Upon entering the store, the one staff who told me I could enter, said to the other 2 staff that I Stood there and didn’t say anything to them and I could of said excuse me(now the other 2 staff began to say ih they totally agree) as I’m standing around the corner I I can hear these 3 staff talking about me..within a few minutes a couples walked in, they opened the door immediately and said come in in( now this couple did not have to wait and the staff were very friendly) then I heard them say “oh the other girl could of been as polite as them” ( which I am the other girl) and I thought to myself I had to stand outside for a few seconds and then when the staff told me I could enter she gave me attitude, I did not saying anything to her I just entered as they told me I could. (Did I do something wrong) I was really upset but decided not to turn back and go to the door and get very upset.
What puzzled me was that one of the same staff was rude to another customer on April 22 2020 when I went into the store. I came into the store and heard her telling a customer that they are not more special than anyone else. So no they cannot do that, as she walked away from them mumbling down the store.
Now if your working customer service jobs and you hate your job , don’t work there but giving attitude and being disrespectful is not needed, I understand at times customers can be a handful but respect is respect. I was very disappointed with the staff and they way they speak and deal with customers. On top of all that the cashier was rude to at customer service, a few customers were lined up at customer service “she said don’t you see other cashiers are open” which would be the line for all the other cashiers, sometimes people don’t see the other area to line up because I know when I went I didn’t. A customer looked at her and said sorry we didn’t know, it at the end of the day it’s not what you say but rather how you say it. Please staff if you HATE your job quit and stop treating customers that way, I work in customer service and I know that’s not what the company teaches.
I will defiantly be reporting this!!!! If your going to talk about a customer do it on your own time, although maybe they wanted me to hear, but I didn’t say or do anything to the staff but wait for them to say you can enter the store.
