Some things can be overly priced for being secondhand, but mostly everything is in decent condition, and you can get some really good deals as well. The store is relatively large, and very well organized. Carts available for your convenience too! Good place to find some really cute clothing that has been discontinued in stores!

Don’t bother wasting your time trying to consign your gently used baby clothes here. I only ever bring like new pieces to the store to sell and walk out with 90% of the stuff I brought in. Super confusing considering their selection isn’t the greatest to begin with. What irritates me more is getting clothes back that were brought in as sets and only getting one or two of the pieces back.

Lots of selection and tons of stuff for all ages. Would give 5 stars except the place is way too small for the volume of stuff they have. Good luck shopping easily if you have a stroller. They have taken some of our stuff we've tried to sell but only maybe half of it. It's definitely a go to place for when we are looking for something specific. Usually able to find it. A regular stop for me and my daughter, love the opportunity to add preloved clothing to her wardrobe as a sustainable option, demanding less new items from the earth and less money form the wallet - it’s a win win for everyone! I also love the personal shopper option. Not sure if this is just through covid, but I’ve been able to send an email with a list of clothing I’m interested in and a shopper will send back photos of lots of clothing I can choose from and then simply pick up curbside later. An amazing option as shopping in store with a baby can be hit or miss lol

Share the unused items weather outgrown I just never used allowing it to contribute to your new purchases. The staff are friendly and willing to help answer any questions you may have even some of the customers like to Pitchin because while being in the store it’s more like being in a little family everybody’s helping each other everybody’s looking for things for their family and with everybody having a special common connection and allows the shopping experience to be much more pleasurable for everyone The store is kept clean and the stuff is always in good condition ????????

Love this place for bb clothes! I refuse to pay full price for baby stuff that my 1yo girl will inevitably stain, mangle or mame in some way. This place has such a great selection of name brand and on trend stuff, and they always stay ahead of the seasons which makes it super easy to bulk buy for months ahead. The employee I spoke with over the phone didn't bother to mention that you have to call in the day of to see if they're buying that day. AVOIDING THIS LOCATION Rude employees, limited selection, unimpressive discounts on many items. SHOPPING - Very limited (for clothing). - Newmarket location has more selection (for clothing), better customer service, and better pricing (Newmarket has a MAMA club with perks and specials - Barrie does not). - The one star they do get is for the selection of additional goods like sunglasses, laundry stain remover, mattresses, etc (many sold at retail pricing or just below though). - Many used items are very close to brand new retail pricing. You will find WAY better prices on FB Marketplace / Varage Sale with ALL the money actually going to moms and families. SELLING - DONT BOTHER - Payment is terrible - They reject many items (even ones that you got from them and never used.. not sure how that works...). Oh, and what they don't buy, they just toss back in your bin - no folding despite you carefully folding items for them. - Long wait (over an hour and a half - even though I was told 15-60 minutes) - Customer service is horrible - employees are rude and have zero respect for mamas with busy lives and babies in the car. Next time I will just regift unused items and donate the rest to families in need.

This place misses out on many great items. With a child that doesn’t like most fabrics or wears something once and it’s too itchy everything is in perfect condition. They pass on items new with tags just bought. Only reason we are selling them is because we can’t return things right now. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Totally not worth your time.

I brought clothes in mostly new or hardly worn items and they only accepted the top brand names, very disappointed as they were all perfect clothes but not good enough for them and a lot of them were from the stores they claim they love, justice, old navy, childrens place. When I buy I don't always want the more expensive name brand I want a deal. I won't waste my time bringing clothes there again I will sell online instead

I've always found the staff rude here but today was the icing on the cake. Customer service here is atrocious. They had the fitting room pilled with stock leaving the bathroom the only spot i could let my daughter try on a cart full of clothing. We never have luck with sizing so trying pants on is a must. About a quarter of the way thru an extremely rude staff member yelled at me that she couldn't try clothing on there and that there was a sign "right infront of my face" (i hadn't seen the sign). She said that my only option was to purchase all of them items in my cart and take them home to try on and return them if they didnt fit. Lol. Yeah...not happening with over $200 of product... So my daughter exited the single bathroom and we continued to try on sweaters and dresses over her tank top in the corner of the store. I was then approached by another staff member who told me she couldn't try on the clothing in the store due to public health measures. YET,she can try things on and fitting rooms are open at Kids Closet, old navy and ANY OTHER STORE in the city. AND, there was a little boy trying on coats 1 aisle away. How is that any different?! She again told me my only option was to purchase all the items & take them home and return what i didn't want (becuase that's a lot safer for covid, right?). We will never buy or sell to this location ever again. They clearly only care about having customers spend money and HOPE that they don't bother to return items in time. Instead, Kids Closet Barrie got our business and will continue as we were allowed to try clothes on there.

Clean & great toys/clothes/ect They are usually busy with items people have brought in so I do plan my visit/errands around waiting a few hours to hear back. They work as fast as they can. I often find some great things here for my kids & I have never ended up with a problem with items. One point of improvement is that the door area gets very cluttered very easily making it difficult to get down the aisle at the front of the store with a cart or stroller, squishing past stuff & people is the norm.

Yesterday I dropped off items to this store for the 1st time. When I went to pick up today, I brought home the items they didn't want to purchase and started to take them out of the box. The clothes were completely soaked, and it was evident that something dark was spilled on them. I don't even know if the items can be salvaged, and it is very upsetting. I would not under any circumstance trust this location with your belongings and I will never go there again.

For a second hand clothing store it is very over priced. Today I drove all the way down there to give them a bag full of brand name, and like new clothes. Most items that was in the bag was bought from Once Upon A Child and yet they only wanted about 6 things from the entire bag, and what you get back from them isnt much at all. Wouldve been better off to sell it all on the Market Place. What frustrates me most is that several items were bought in sets, they took the shirts but left the pants that match. Dont understand how they can be so picky on what they buy when half the time their stalk on the sizes I need are always very low and the clothes arent even over all that nice. Dont really recommend this store.

Staff is very rude! I go to once upon a child regularly but am now serious looking into other consignment shops. They make you feel unwelcome, no one says hello or even looks up to see if you are waiting for help when dropping off items. And don't dare ask a question about timing or how things work there because they make you feel stupid for not knowing policy!

Visited recently and was told I could only shop if I used a cart for social distancing. I have a few issues with this. How is a cart that's about 2 feet long going to make it safer for me? I had my children with me, how can I hold their hands to keep them close and safely shop while pushing a dirty cart around? It is i.m.p.o.s.s.i.b.l.e. I was told I am not allowed to shop in your store because I was not able to do the above. I will not be returning. Disgusted!!! I should add they lady teaching me I need to social distance with a dirty cart was also wearing her mask under her nose. Ironic!

Does not accept medical mask exemptions. Were very rude over the phone when I called to make sure it was okay. I have been to several other locations and have always been treated so well and with such respect. This place decided that they don’t care about people being able to affordable clothe their children in the midst of a global pandemic who cannot for medical reasons wear a mask. Will never support this location even when the mandates are lifted. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Found out that they dont wash the items that are brought in. As well the cashier didnt speak english well so was very hard to understand didnt wring all items in even though she folded all the clothes even with tags out. Then looked at me like what was i doing when the alarm went off because she didnt wring something in. Very frusterating and concerning as you dont know where the clothes come from and they dont wash them.

Enjoyed my shopping trip at Once Upon a Child. Went shopping for some newborn clothes. Selection was pretty good. It took me a couple minutes to figure out the colour then size organization. Only thing i would say is the aisles are a bit too narrow. My wife was with me in a wheel chair and it was a bit difficult to get around for her.

Once Upon A Child doesn't even deserve a single star, I have never come across an establishment with staff so rude. They cause a scene when there is an issue, and make it known to all the other customers shopping. How uncomfortable. I also believe their method of re-buying is a scam, as I have once upon a time asked out of curiosity what they were giving me for an item and felt FREE wasn't suffice. SO BE CAREFUL, when you are selling to them because then they try to sell it to you for almost the same price as brand new. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!! STAY FAR AWAY AND GO TO KIDS CLOSET ON THE SOUTH END. YOU WILL THANK ME!

Great for infant, but prices become comparable to new as kids age. Toy and book selections are generally good. You don't get much when bringing clothing in, and they seem to just glance at stuff to decide as they've given back brand new with tags before.

HORRIBLE customer service the lady behind the counter was beyond rude to me when I was purchasing my items. Due to Covid You have to push your cart to the side of the checkout. I misunderstood where she pointed to originally and then she very rudely says “I need it behind HERE miss” then I didn’t know that their debit machine was touchscreen so I’m standing there looking at the debit machine for literally almost 2 minutes before she proceeds to rudely say “it’s touchscreen” I used to love coming here as they do have a lot of inventory but I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Honestly, super disappointed with bringing bins to this location. I’ve brought in 4 bins in the past 3 weeks, and all of them still had perfectly folded brand name clothes on the bottom. It’s like they skimmed through the top and gave up and wanted to move on. Missed out on Guess, Disney, even a pair of kids Uggs. I’ll be finding a new store to sell to.
