I'm a die hard hot topic fan 90% of my closest is from them When I went in the other day the lady behind the counter gave me such an intense and hateful glare it actually made me want to just leave the store entirely. Idk why I was being treated like that but I was just trying to buy some shirts. I left shortly after and shopped at Spencer's instead

Visited to get daughters birthday present. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Plenty of selection and variety of merchandise. Great prices and lots of sale deals. Music was a tad loud, and just as I was thinking this, the music was turned down.

Line up for a chance to get one of the SDCC exclusives, only have 9 in stock and they are sorry about that, but still let people buy 5 at a time, were sold out by the third customer, makes waiting in line all the more worth it, poor sales attitude and apparently are okay with people paying huge mark up in the secondary market, typical business sales first, customers somewhere below five on their list.

This is one of, if not, "the", favourite store for my teenage daughter. Lots of TV/movie, theme items, from backpacks, clothing, buttons, jewelery and collectables. They do have items for men, especially t-shirts and collectables, but IMHO, and from seeing the clientele, it is mostly geared towards girls. They also have a larger selection online, my daughter has bought a few things online that you just can not get in Canadian stores, or are not carried in store at all. If you sign up online, they will email you exclusive offers and coupons. Not really a store I personally would go to, but I enjoy browsing when with my daughter.

It's a little jam packed, but I always find some gem that must be purchased. I like sifting through the tightly packed items to find the perfect geeky prize. There are not loads of spots that cater to so many fandoms. There's usually some Hogwarts apparel, which can be hard to find unless you are shopping online, or directly with Disney. They have regular sales, and an annual birthday deal for each card holding client.

If you are emo and change your identity every week, then this is the place for you. A small selection of every bandwagon theme all the emos love. Best place to shop because you cant find (an attractive) date.

Went to hot topic yesterday and was asked to leave because my child was not wearing a mask. I was. My child has a disability and is legitimately exempt. The Government of Ontario website states that those receiving accommodations under the accessibility for ontarians with disabilties act do not need to wear a face covering. The employee was apologetic and offered to let us come back after the store closed to shop, which wouldve been hours later so we left. I would suggest the store look into this policy as they are in violation of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act by denying my child service.

Hot Topic is a great place to find interesting items related to pop culture, music and the alternative scene. They carry apparel, accessories and collectables. It is an appropriate place to bring school aged children as well, and is definitely a fun place to browse for people of all ages.

Always fun sifting through the many merchandise in hot topic. Staff are always willing too help and are very friendly. Do sometimes wish the funko pops were kinda organized as it is a pain to search through them. But overall a great store!

Vey rude employee!! Was there with my 10 year old, who made a mistake and lifted her mask to take a sip of her drink. Insead if politely reminding her of the rule, this grown woman raised her voice and with a very angry, rude attitude scolded my 10 year old and threatened to kick her out of the store. That was today September 8th 2020 around noon. There is a way to address issues without being horrible to kids.

Have EXTREMELY limited number of exclusives, but have a 5 per person limit? What a joke. Some people actually like to collect POPs and not just flip them for double-triple the price. No longer buying POPs here, there's no point. Wait in line for hours just so the first 2 guys can sell them to you later on Facebook

Slow service and the manager was chatting to a delivery dude for like what seemed forever so I could not make my purchase for quiet some time very disappointing excellent selection an gf loved the memorabilia.

Will not be back. Visited the store for the first time in search for a gift item and received nothing but intrusive glares from the two girls behind the counter. The staff and their conversation as I approached the counter was uninterrupted and I felt as though I was invisible. I wouldn't rate the store itself this low but if I could give the staff I "encountered" a score of zero I would most certainly do so.

Walked into store usual staff at entrance not there. Went to counter with question no one there. Went thru store looking for staff. More customers entered and finally staff came to counter, must have been in the mall.
