Great for craft supplies for kids, party decor and my go-to place for helium balloons. Note that it's not your typical "dollar" store - lots of things are more than a dollar. The store is always neat and well organized.

Very rude and unprofessional owner or manager .. she was very disrespectful to her employee infront of customers.. The employee (prob 17 or 18) had already excused herself to me as being new and trying to learn the register system and how to input individual latex balloons and made a mistake (god forbid) inputting it into the register...the manager came (while trying to help someone else fill her balloons with helium) and realized there was a mistake made and rolled her eyes and loudly said it was really hard trying to do 2 things at once ... Just rude and uncalled for... I assured the employee I was not in a rush and she was doing just fine ... Just super uncomfortable to be in that situation as a costumer and I'm sure for the employee. I'll be going to the other location from now on.

A buck or two is an overstatement......85% of the store is higher then normal retail price.......e.g. broom stick $5 Broom head $3.50 = $8.50+ tax. For a cheap flimsy one. Or go to Wally's World and pay that for a vileda.

The young man serving customers Sun, Nov 15, refused to put his mask on properly. The first time I asked, he said it just comes down sometimes. He had the pleats unopened and the mask flat. It was gasping at the sides and not covering his nose. The second time I asked him to do so while I was there, he said he had a medical condition. It was an obvious lie, if he had a condition, he would be wearing a shield instead. I won't go back

Ordered balloons from them, on the day I picked them up one of the foil balloons had a hole in it, and there was not another one available. They said they would replace the balloon that was damaged (with a different balloon), however would not replace the other foil balloon for free, even though they were side by side, and that was the whole point for the same balloons, or else the display would look funny. The staff member was rude, not helpful, and had zero suggestions, besides paying for the extra balloon and the helium at my expense. I suggest not going there for balloon orders.

I have been a customer ever since the store opened in Carbonear. Always enjoyed shopping there especially when being helped by Ang and Graham Pike. They always go above and beyond to help. I just learned that both have been laid off due to shortage of work because of the Pandemic . I'm shocked to hear that both have let go, but other staff had hours increased this only shows me how little this Company respects valued staff. I will no longer patronize this company due to the unethical practices towards your staff. Let me be clear I am in no way related or connected to either of these two staff members but I did work in Retail for 53 years and I can not condone such practices. Shame on The Buck or Two.
