I had a great experience with prom affair. With all of the uncertainty around whether grad will happen, it was still a great experience and even if grad doesn't happen I will still be able to wear my dress since it is absolutely gorgeous. They had great selection and great customer service. Also the staff was great. I am very happy with my experience there. As well they did great as far as following covid guidelines. Thanks for the help Prom Affair! I totally recommend you check this place out if you need a dress!

Went to the store today to look at dresses and was greeted by a lady that said we could come in but we should know that " All their dress have very low backs and cost $500.00 or more"! So clearly we weren't the right size for the styles they carried and I guess we looked low income. The 4 of us were very upset with the greeting and will never go back. I sure wish I had a Beth with me!! December 25, 2021 Thanks for your feedback Prom affair but you failed to say that we asked to look at dresses any dresses because we were unsure of what kind of dresses we were looking for and was told you had a huge selection. When we came by to look at your selection we were told we could come in by the sales lady! She then asked "what kinds of dresses are you looking for" I replied "any we really have no idea and we are hoping to find one". The comments we were greeted with after were very rude, judgemental and very undeserved!! Again as I've said in my earlier review that it was rude and body shaming end of story!! Nobody should ever be left feeling like less of a person based on body image or assumed income. I have never been treated like that or heard comments like this in all my life. We went to 4 other stores that day and were welcomed with kind non judgemental people who didn't shame us based on our bodies or the prices on their dresses. Shame on her and shame on you!!

Prom Affair was by far the best place I shopped for a graduation dress. I looked all over Calgary for a dress, but I found that the selection here was limited. So I went up to Edmonton and found Prom Affair. The owner was a doll and she was so great with helping me find and order my dress. The store is very well-organized, as opposed to the many overcrowded dress shops I have been to. The staff was very attentive and I was never left waiting for assistance. The selection is absolutely incredible and I ended up finding the perfect dress for my graduation.

Not one thing bad to say about this place. The ladies were so helpful and efficient. Their display by colour and style was perfect. They had a runway with video screen so the girls could see themselves in the dresses. They let you have all the time you needed with no stress of time. I highly reccomend this dress shop!

We had spent days going to multiple shops to find a prom dress. We went to Gemini hoping for a great experience but the staff were generally passive and didn't have any suggestions or help. The next day we went to Prom Affair and found the most beautiful dress with the help of the very knowledgable staff. We were able to try on multiple dresses ( Gemini has a limit of 3 ) and found a dress that is gorgeous and exactly what we were looking for. Five Stars!

Me and my friends found this shop on accident and it was probably the best accident to happen to us. Their customer service is amazing and their dresses are beautiful. We had called to make an appointment and they ensured us we didn’t need one and to just walk in. Upon being there the staff was immensely rude and rushed us because we didn’t have an appointment, even though an hour before going they told us we didn’t need one. They were slow with their service and I ended up needing to tie up my own dresses because they weren’t there to help. After leaving my change room to go to the mirror, they gave me slim-to-no time to look at the dresses before literally pushing me back into the change room to try on the next one. If I’m going to be spending a good amount of money on a dress, I want atleast DECENT service.

I can not say enough good things about this store and the staff. From the first phone call to book an appointment to paying for the perfect dress, everyone was helpful and cheerful. Haven is AMAZING, she must have pulled out 30 dresses before my daughter found 5 to try on and she never lost the smile on her face, she was patient and understanding and she actually listened to what my daughter wanted. In a time when the normal celebrations can not happen , Haven and the rest of Prom Affair staff, made buying a dress a great experience, and I can say it cheered my daughter up. The staff was very rude and ignorant. We have 2 girls looking for grade 9 grad dresses. We were told not to bother looking for a dress in the front that the "bigger" sized dresses were in the back. If you're bigger than a size 0 don't bother taking your daughters there. They will be belittled for being "bigger".

I just picked up my dress this morning, and it is beautiful! From the very first visit (A walk in) The ladies there were very kind, respectful and overall just amazing to work with. I recommend them to anybody who needs a dress now. The dresses are genuinely beautiful, I went in with no expectations, and came out with something that I loved! The space itself is very homey, and you can tell that it’s well loved. Slightly smaller than the average dress shop, but it feels more comfortable than the average dress shop. 11/10 would recommend.

Instead of some of the other stores I've been to, they didn't ask for a budget or push me to dresses I wasn't interested in; They trully listened to me and what I wanted and I found the perfect dress! I actually was shopping for a wedding dress instead of a prom dress (I wanted a silver dress instead of white) and the other stores all reacted unpleasantly to that idea, but in this store they didn't even hesitate to help me find the dress that I wanted. We had an incredibly overwhelming experience when we went. The women were on us like vultures as soon as we walked in! You are not permitted to take any photos of the dresses until you find the one you are purchasing and placing a deposit on. Taking my shoes off upon arrival was not an issue, however bring some booties or a spare pair of socks because the glitter on the floor is EVERYWHERE! We did end up purchasing a dress here, but the experience was not at all what I expected it to be considering how much money the clientele are spending in the store.

Went to a few shops and this one was by FAR the best. Not only did the lady know my size by looking me (clearly a superpower because I don't know the size of me), but she KNEW what I wanted and I didn't. She suggested I try on dresses I never would have and I ended up finding my perfect grad dress. She was Personalable, kind and attentive. It's a very cosy shop with an immense selection. I went in super nervous and stressed about finding a graduation dress but Tammy is amazing! This was the first shop I visited and I did not make an appointment (you don’t need one anyways); luckily I came in at a time that allowed Tammy to work 1 on 1 with me! She listened and took into consideration the smallest details to get me into a dress I would love. Not only that, every time I opened the curtain, there she was, ready to help do up the buttons or the lacing and zipper on the back. I left to try on 15+ other dresses at WEM after leaving Prom Affair and the next day I found myself coming back to Prom Affair to get the fourth dress I tried on. Wow! What a great experience. I booked an appointment here to look for a non-traditional wedding dress. I advised ahead my size and what I was looking for. When I showed up there was already a rack of dresses picked out!! I literally did not even choose one dress from the racks myself. Talk about first class service :) My budget was respected and I only went $50 over to get an amazing dress that I am so very happy with. There were many amazing dresses at really great prices. Tammy was absolutely amazing and we didn't feel rushed in the slightest. I had time to try on my favorites multiple times to make my final decision. I had my 5 month old daughter with me and even when I had to feed her during our visit, Tammy was completely understanding and accommodating. Thank you so much!

I am sure it was for health reasons We did travel 2 1/2 hours to give my girl her experience. The staff were very pleasant and did give us their attention and we picked a dress. Just a side note* not their fault... No bathroom use and had to go to a public bathroom a block away.

Vicki was amazing. My daughter had fallen in love with a dress that I could not find in the US. I went everywhere and scoured the internet, to no avail. Everytime I found it, it was no longer available. By the grace of God, I found it at Prom Affair. We had a couple minor hiccups, but Vicki kept me in the loop every step of the way and was so courteous. When I called, she assured me that she indeed had THE dress and got everything straightened out. The dress shipped when she said it would and she sent me the tracking number etc. It arrived in about a week and in time for alterations. Absolutely loved this store! Haven was amazing, and gave us exemplary customer service. They give discounts for good reviews, so believe only the bad that you read. Writing for a friend as they bought a dress & needed the discount of $25 off per good review. They had an appointment, were rushed to putting the dress on, barely looking at it, then off. Also limited to how many they could try on, no pictures allowed. Once they found a couple they liked, couldn't try on again to confirm they liked it, could only try on the once. That's terrible when you are spending your hard earned money for this special day that you hope COVID doesn't ruin. They were lucky that this was their last stop so they were at least aware of the styles they liked. Be aware and prepared when you go there. Reviews had to be writing in front of them for the discount to occur.

Horrible... everytime I come into this store the Asian lady makes me feel highly uncomfortable. Someone needs to teach this lady the concept of personal space. For her to touch customers is not professional, I don’t need to be pushed up and off the stage where I feel I am rushed. Honestly I think this is the best place to get a grad dress! I literally went to every prom/bridal boutique in Edmonton and Prom Affair was 1000% better than all of them. They had better selection and the store is really nice and even has a catwalk with a digital screen you can see your full body in. The lady who runs the store was not only knowledgeable about all the different styles and brands, but she was honest about what looked good on you and wasn't just trying to sell you something but actually helping you find a dress that you love that also looks good on you! She was super cute and nice and I got a beautiful dress for a reasonable price, I had a really wonderful experience and I recommend Prom affair to anyone looking for a beautiful grad dress

Fantastic dresses and amazing staff. Vicki and all the staff were amazing. My daughter tried on a dress she really liked but just wasn't sure so we left. She decided a few days later that it was the one, we went back only to find it had been sold and was discontinued and couldn't be ordered, she was crushed. Vicki jumped right in, booked us an appointment for when she knew they would be receiving new dresses. When we returned Vicki had set aside dresses she thought my daughter would be interested in and she was so right, we found a dress my daughter loved! We had a terrible experience with this store. My wife and my daughter went there to buy a gown for her graduation. Since we got here, we already felt that we are rushed and pressured. When we went back to the store to change the gown, they refused to change it since they said that it was on a ‘Final Sale’ and the lady said we have to buy a new one. Yes we do understand what the ‘Final Sale’ meant, but we wasn’t been warned or informed that it was. As it was their first time buying gown. We just found out that it was on finale sale when we were about to change it.We just couldnt understand why did they not warn us about the ‘Final Sale happening on their store.Considering that the gown is expensive , Someone should inform us about the final sale before issuing us the receipt. Spending your money won’t be worth it here.

We went to many different stores in Edmonton shopping for a prom dress. Prom Affair was the very first store and they set the bar high. After all the stores, we went back and bought the dress from them because they had the VERY BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE we ever experienced at any store. No one else had the dress we wanted and although they could order it, the service couldn't compare to Prom Affair. They ladies here are top notch and no one can compare. Save your time and frustrations and go to Prom Affair and no where else. They are the very best in the business and the best in Edmonton. Was hoping for it to be such a fun experience, unfortunately the appointment felt really rushed and she wasn’t in love with any of the dresses she tried on. Staff was polite but I feel weren’t dressed for the job.. I understand that during these times the Covid rules can be a large grey area but when spending a large sum of money I was expecting more. Ended up leaving without purchasing and finding something else where. Would not recommend this store at this time.

Great service. I had to buy a prom dress for my daughter the very last minutes, after the dress we ordered from Gemini Bridal arrived unfit to wear (after 5 weeks from time of order) . The lady at Prom Affair was very knowledgeable and helpful, she helped my daughter find the dress she love, I was relieved to finally see smile on my dear daughter's face, after she was crying for the last dress. For comparison, Gemini seemed huge and had lots of dresses, but so unorganized and impossible to find what you wish to try on. If you see a dress you would like to try on, good luck with getting the right size. My daughter was a common size 12, sales associate at Gemini made her feel like she was such a fat girl, that no dress would fit her, and had to be specially ordered. Prom Affair had much smaller floor space and stock selection, but more than enough for people to find what they might like. The lady asked my daughter what she was looking for, then bought out a selection of dresses for her to try on, all in her correct size.

When i first came into prom affair i was taken care of to great lengths. Vicki made sure everything was affordable for me and picked me out my perfect dress when i couldn't afford the one i had picked myself. i have continued to bring people here to get their dresses because of the experience and the overall atmosphere of the store and from the workers. i came in two weeks ago and got to try on my five dresses. they were the last stop of the day and after trying on so many dresses, i was overwhelmed and tired. the ladies told me to take some time and think about it, and i was welcome back to come try them on again in the future. we are from out of town and decided last minute to come to the city to try on more dresses. we called the shop because i wanted to re try a dress i had picked out two weeks ago. they told me they were fully booked but they could squeeze me in to come try on the dress. i was able to make it and got to try on my dress and ended up buying it. great service, great ladies. would highly recommended.

Service was just AMAZING , I was searching the internet for a dress that I had tried on but did not want to pay the price it was in the store, then I came across Prom Affair, never heard of it. I was reading reviews which were all good ! I took a chance and sent off an email , well I am ever so glad I did , I rec’d an answer within a couple of hours with the price in CDN dollars , to see to my surprise was much cheaper than the store but still a bit high , after replying with my answer, rec’d an answer back where they reduced the price once again, I then called the store, placed the order and was told that I should receive the dress Within 6wks , I placed the order Dec 5th and rec’d the dress Jan 14th , the dress fit just like the store I tried it on in. The person I dealt with was Vikki, she was so kind and she assured me and made me feel so comfortable. I highly recommend Prom Affair ! Service was TOP NOTCH !
