Best place in town (Brandon, MB) To get all of your costume needs. The enployees are awesome and can find anything you are looking for. Even if you dont need a costume for Halloween, you definitely might be interested in checking it out, at least for the anamatronics.

We found just what they wanted and they are looking forward to wearing them again on Halloween! AWESOME!! I didnt get her name but she had long brown hair and glasses (said shes the manager) She was awesome. Me and my boyfriend went in looking for a costume for our dog and the service she provided was amazing! As well as the prices and choices being quite diverse ( we may have kept her past her shift time trying on many constumes, Sorry again!) Our dog is very nervous and the masks really dont help with that , but she kept her calm as well as us and the employees, when unfortunately our dog had started barking very loudly out of fear of the masks. She is exceptional. While we had one of us in the change room trying on one of the many costumes we had picked she went to get her own snacks to feed to our pup to make her more comfortable as we forgot her treats at home. This woman deserves a raise.

Always a blast in this store. Came home with 2 electronic decorations - the tall pumpkin ghoul, and the old guy in the rocking chair. Deb is a great person and fun. She points out different items and told us about the green tag wall. Even hubby got into it this year and wants a costume.

Just a polite note to other trans women, I was treated with inclusion and kindness here today. Really great and helpful staff. It is November 1, which "should" be a great sale day in a Halloween store, but they didn't offer a tremendous discount at 25 percent off, and the selection was ridiculously limited. Or I would have given it 5 stars. If the marketing div of this company reads this, I saved 200 dollars to try to get some things the day after Halloween, and spent 30 at your store, because there just wasn't really much worth buying. There were unopened boxes full of inventory stacked 10 high in some spaces. You can't sell it if you don't try, guys. M.

Bad customer service and not the best selection. When I asked an employee if they carried a certain accessory, he just said “I don’t know, I don’t think so” and just walked away without saying anything else. He didn’t seem to care at all, and he didn’t try to ask another staff member or help me look- and the funny part is that I had been there a week prior and seen that accessory, I just couldn’t find it when I went back so I assume they sold out? I also wanted to return an item (and I do understand all items are final sale) but when I asked for an exchange or a store credit instead (as it was unopened), the lady at the front was quite rude and said “we don’t do exchanges this close to Halloween” …even though Halloween was 10 days away. I do understand the receipt said final sale, but there was no full policy on the back explaining the exchange policy dates or anything which there should be if they accept exchanges but only up until a certain date.

Was in a bit of a panic after my puppy destroyed a large spider decoration at my parent'splace. I was helped by a very nice lady! Her name was Elizabeth. I came in looking for a catwoman suit, they only had a large so she called the other stores to check if they had one. I was also looking at wigs and she helped me pick one out that was washable and heat resistant! Perfect! She then hooked me up with a wig head and a wig cap. Excellent knowlegable staff!

Definitely one of the WORST experiences I've ever had at a retail store. I walk in with my children and all we do is go around and look at all the costumes. And for the 10 minutes that we were there we had one of the employees consistently following us and. And in the last 2 minutes another. I didn't know that taking two children to a store would make me look like a shoplifter. Not to mention there were two other families in the store at the same time and nobody followed them. Costumes might be cheaper here, but the quality is also cheaper and customer service is not worth it.

Only one person on the till on a Friday night.Overcharged us by $16 on 2 of their discounted items .We were made to stand off to the side for another person to deal with us he had some tasks to do first like mop the floor and walked away while we waited. Then rang items through and over charged us again didnt feel like waiting to do it a 3 rd time. No real apology for the screw up or wait. Watch if you buy any discounted items as the discount doesn't work on a lot of stuff .

This lady, or manager/supervisor i'm assuming, followed us the whole time we were in the store. kept watch on us 24/7 as if we were going to steal a whole isle. we didn't confront her about it but it was SOOO uncomfortable. not sure if this was racially motivated but it was just so shocking that she did it with no remorse or some sort of embarrassment.

Had my wife brought this to my attention before we paid I would have taken my business to Spirit Halloween. This place was just convenient because we had just finished dinner at Eastside Mario's.

Just wanted to take a minute to actually say thanks to all the kind staff working at this location. I have been to this location many times and I have experienced nothing but fantastic customer service (and no I am not white, and hence don’t believe there is any racial discrimination at this store). It’s funny to read some of these awful reviews. Please don’t let them deter you from visiting this place. I was there again today with my family ( Saturday oct 30) and the place was packed (what do you expect when leaving things to last minute). From the moment you walked in you were greeted by a very kind gentlemen who helped direct us to where stuff was (since things have been flying off their shelves). Yes there was a line up to cash out but it was moving fast. The pregnant lady at cash was super nice and helpful. My family watched her navigate through people who were demanding refunds , or upset because there weren’t right sizes available for them with grace. I felt bad for her as she was doing the best she could ( she is not the one who made the company rules— wish people remembered that when yelling at those working at a place). Anyways, I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. Thank you again!

We were looking at getting our dogs costumes again this year (this would have been the fifth year in a row!) but apparently things must have changed because we were informed that our dogs could not come in (we only bring one in at a time) unless they were service animals. I'm obviously quite disappointed and annoyed as this is something special that we do every year. I spoke with a very unpleasant "manager" at the Brandon location. All I was told by this lovely woman, very sarcastically, was that she'd put up a sign. Hopefully this review will save another animal lover from having the same experience and disappointment as us.

Absolutely horrible service !! Those who know me know I spend thousands of dollars at this store every year! This will be the last ! I picked out an animatronic, paid for it on my MasterCard and the receipt would not print. I pulled up my on line banking and showed the person the transaction was processed. They give me a hand written receipt and said the manager would email me a proper receipt. Out to my vehicle we go to load the Product. The sale person came out with his manager on the phone saying it was not paid for .... although I could clearly show the charge to him on my MasterCard! In conclusion they have kept the product and it is now up to me to “ Deal” with my credit card company! Unbelievable!

I went into buy a costume for grandson. He picked out a 40 dollar mask. I paid went to car and immediately noticed it was damaged and missing pieces. I immediately went back into store, I asked for a better price they said 10 percent only. I asked for my money back as I just paid fir it, they said no. They would only do exchange but no discount on new item. 11 year old boy heart was broken, he suffers high anxiety. If we had not just paid for it I would have understood. The next day I go into store, same mask is back on shelf for 39 dollars and is still damaged and missing pieces. This is worst customer service I have ever seen

I Feel bad for the staff here that have been forced by their managers to try and take away customers basic human rights. We were told a medical exemption for not wearing a mask was not accepted to shop in their store. They offered us a mask, which their employee grabbed from the box to hand to us with her dirty hands that she did not sanitize first. This is making people sick. Regular people do not know how to put on or take off masks. Trying to force customers to wear a mask when they are exempt, and at the same time supplying them with contaminated materials that you want them to put on their faces, is unacceptable. The managers need to teach the staff that while masks are recommended, it is up to each individual person to decide if they are able to do this. It is not up to your business to police this and force a mask on me when I am exempt. It is a human rights violation, and I am going to report it to the government. I will not shop here ever again in the future. I can buy costumes on Amazon and it’s going to put small businesses like this out of business. Which is all part of the plan in the grand scheme of things.

Love going to Halloween Alley! The staff are so friendly and helpful and the selection is amazing! The biggest and most diverse selection I've seen in any of the Saskatoon halloween stores. It's true that sales are final but they let you know that way in advance of your purchase. I've bought many costumes and accessories here and will do so in the future. It's great fun to even just look around and a very family friendly store!

Very Disappointed in the service my family received at the Southgate location. We purchased an inflatable horse costume with numerous other products around 8pm Oct 30 2018, upon returning home we discovered the fan didn't work very well I suspect a soldering issue in the wiring connections. We tested it that night and after allot of battery changes and fidgeting around it finally worked. We were uncertain about it working for Halloween, but it was to late to do anything about it, so my child packed it up to take to school. I was at the school when he tried to put it on to get it to work and the wiring connection issue happened again. We tried several new packages of batteries, but nothing worked. So I brought the costume back to the store hoping that because the sale was less than 24 hours old, they may at least exchange it for one that worked. The clerk refused to help me, he said there was nothing they could do, that I had spent $83.00 on a costume that was broken. I pulled another one off the shelf preparing to buy another one but wanted to test it before I spent more money. He told me I could not do that. He also told me I could not purchase another one or test it before I bought it. Being that they do not exchange or refund money and I was risking spending $166.00 with no results, I tested it by putting new batteries in it and turning it on, it worked ok. After demonstrating that the "new" costume worked with new batteries I showed him how the less than 24 hour old costume did not work by installing the same batteries, the fan did not work. The clerk then threatened to call security, told me I could not make sure the costume worked, that I could not speak to him about my negative experience in the store that it was a private business and my experience was not allowed, and then started bad mouthing me to other customers at the till and continued to do so after I paid for a new costume and proceeded to walk out of the store. I turned back to the till and thanked him for my incredibly negative experience and reminded him it is always bad practice in retail to bad mouth customers to their face and while they leave to other customers still in the store. Such conduct will negatively impact the reputation and marketing/ sales of the business. The retail staff are the face and front line of the business. He shouted after me in the store "looking forward to it" when I said he could expect my review online. I DO NOT RECOMMEND making any purchase at this store EVER. You risk spending money on a faulty product with no exchange or refund options available. Not to mention the unprofessional conduct of the staff who will name call and bad mouth you when you are trying to come up with a solution. They will then tell you its their corporate policy to not conduct quality control reviews of the products they sell nor deal with any faulty products. BUYER BEWARE!! Literally.

Update: Visited the new 2020 store and again had great customer service! Deb and her team are amazing thank-you for a full family of Oktoberfest outfits to add to our Halloween attire! I have visited and picked up all or parts of mine and my boys costumes at Halloween Alley the past 3 years! Staff is always very helpful and ready to hunt for something creative to make work even when you ask for something off the wall like items to make a chicken costume, magic wands and hand grenades (2018)! Now 2019 I had no idea what Slenderman was but we nailed it thanks to Halloween Alley!

I recently bought a costume and am very disappointed with the experience. The costume was in the children's section, marked as a "tween/teen" size. After opening it, I noticed that the size on the packaging was initially marked as Xlarge (adult) but was clearly whited out and checked off as teen size instead. The size tag on the costume itself was clearly cut off. The costume is obviously an adult size and was labelled otherwise. It was labelled and sold falsely and of course everything is a final sale. Will absolutely not be shopping there in future years.

The lady behind the cash register was friendly on entry and exit but we passed other staff and not a smile or hello or an offer to assist. They do have lots to choose from but for kids costumes I will go to other retailers with lower prices. This year I was not impressed but I have bought in the past. If there is great customer service I will pay a bit more but not double the price for a one time wear as kids grow.

The decorations and animated displays of clowns , skeletons etc are really worth seeing. Younger children tend to be frightened. You step on a pad on the floor an the display comes to life. There is also a sim haunted house. The kids loved it. The 2 year old was scared.

Moreover, there was a sales section which was really good considering that the costumes are being used only one time. Old: Not so interesting this year ????

So I bought a 29.99 accessory kit and was told it was FINAL sale. So I didnt need the receipt then when I was getting ready for my social the next day the liquid latex was completely dried out!!!!! I went back on Sunday they told me they would go through the Friday receipt and refund me for it because it was defective and would get back to me in a day or two , the girl never did so I spoke to another one on Wednesday she said she would pass it along and they never got back again so I called Friday and was told to go there after 5 and it would be resolved THEN they said they can’t do anything and to come back tomorrow (Saturday) so I did and the lady said her manager said they can give me a $9.99 make up product for replacement of the kit i said I will just keep the kit in that case it was $30 she then said yeah but you used the products i said I used a little dab of the blood and becuase this kit was defective it completely ruined my costume idea and i had no time to go shop for more liquid latex. What a bs place. Dont tell your customers you can find their receipt and refund them and then rip them off. Just give me a new kit instead if you cant refund. Most people dont keep receipts when its a final sale! Not to mention the awful communication in this place. Dont buy your make up here , its all dried out and poor quality. I cant speak for the other stuff but just warning you on the make up.

Absolutely amazing selection. I go every year. However, this time was different- what on earth happened to your prices? It's absolutely rediculous! Youre selling things that you can buy at other stores for a fraction of the price. Halloween Alley has the biggest and best selection but the majority of the products are priced through the roof. I would have bought more but its just highway robbery. You would have had 5 stars but the prices are absolutely outrageous this year. What happened?

Wish I could give this store zero stars. The customer service is terrible!!! Decided I wanted to stop in to see some masks. There was no around to help, so I took the mask off the wall myself to check the price. A lady working proceeded to come and raise her voice saying you can't try the masks on "can't you read the sign." To my discretion I did not see the sign but there was no intention to try it on as I only wanted to check the price. We apologized and stated we were not going to try it on. She then proceeded to just stand there watching us, which was super uncomfortable and raised her voice again saying give me it back. So i gave it back to her and she continued to ramble on. I immediately left the store because I could not believe the way she just spoke to us. Like another reviewer stated I also believe this was racially motivated, because a white family on the other side was touching the masks. Avoid this store at all costs!!!!! It makes sense why the staff working here can only get seasonal jobs because they are so rude!!!!!
