You will be able to see all the feddbacks of real people like you who used the services of Edmonton Impact Centre Outlet Store (Costumes) in the area of Alberta (Canada).
To this day the firm gets a score of 4 stars out of 5 and the score has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings is quite good, and it is founded on a very large number of scores, so we may think that the rating is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they are pleased with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to place feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Costumes belongs to the category of Second hand store.
People are nice and friendly
I really love going to this place, you pick through stuff to find what you like. Expect to spend a couple hours.
Very different to anything I am used to. Seems like people spend hours here waiting on new stuff to be brought out in bins. Can see if you resell stuff this would maybe be worth it, but its 3 hours from home so not ideal for revisiting frequently.
Great spot for household & clothing bargains. Helpful staff.
It'd be cool if they kept their closing times consistent.
Tax free oh woop de dah its a 100+% profit organization, how bout giving it away too for free????????.
Great customer service very helpful
Great service with friendly staff
Awesome place I visit often
Great place, awesome prices on most things... If you abide by the rules and are polite the staff are very friendly. If you don't, the staff are not so friendly. This place is not for everyone, but for me, it is a blast! Some of the bins are a little bit dirty, but it is worth it for the great prices.
In theory, this place sounds like a good idea, but in practice, unless you're one of the vultures who practically pick the bins clean, then you're not really gonna have a good time here.
Was ok some people are animals
What a joke
I'm not telling my secret shopping place
Lots of stuff to sort through!
Hole in the wall gem. Good deals for the thrifty lol
I call this place the dump as a term of endearment. They roll out giant bins of stuff and people crowd around and frantically start rummaging for the best stuff as soon as the staff member shouts 'go!' I've found some awesome stuff, I've also had to play the 'poop or chocolate' game. The furniture is super cheap and there's some really nice stuff. The facility is generally pretty clean and the staff are nice but you can tell they deal with rummagers all day every day. Don't go of you don't have time and don't expect to find anything awesome every time. There's a lot of junk and it really made me aware of our consumer waste problem
So disorganized, I am not into shopping that way. I like to see the product hanging in its place. Way too out of control for me.
Great selection
This place is the best kept secret in Edmonton. Shhhh don’t tell anyone.... Ask a front desk attendant what the rules are if it’s your first time, this will avoid pickers from yelling at you.
Lots of fun but you need to have time to go threw it
The place to go for bargains.
Some staff have attitude towards customers iv had 2 good experiences out of 4..I do like the new store much better more space and selection
Lots of good stuff getting a last chance, people there can be a little grabby though, and keep an eye on your stuff, even personal belongings, I have have stuff taken twice and one person even had her personal jacket taken.
Never been bin shopping before. A lot of useless garbage should have went in an outside bin.
Great place to shop Follow the rules and staff are very nice Some of the regulars are abit of a challenge Finds are hit and miss but there are deals to be had :)
Friendly staff and amazing deals if you're willing to dig. Sounds like entry times change a bit tho due to covid. Count on waiting in line for quite a while
Be careful buying from there.
Very nice staff and well organized.
This place is basically a second hand thrift store. Anything that doenst get sold there comes to this place for a second chance.. The prices are all sold by weight, so the prices are very low. The staff is also great, they're always friendly and ready to help with anything.
By (buy) the pound
It's a mess stay away.
I think its a great place the only thing I would like to see is a time limit on how long a person can be in the store and only one visit per day that way other people could get a chance at the things there because not everyone can spend the whole day after day there. Thank You to the staff there they are always willing to help out
You might consider signs and/or a person at the door to explain how things work rather than having your staff rudely yell across the warehouse at new comers. I drove over 3 hours yesterday to check this place out and I left within 1 minute. Do better.
Cheap deals on. Good items
Great system and friendly staff. You can get everything here from furniture to clothes to household goods. No price tags, you pay by the lbs.
Beware this place is very addicting and your boy will probably hate it. So ditch your hubbies and start digging gold here, maybe with a pair of gloves.
Wow! So rewarding to see the 'last chance' for items picked up by those who can repurpose them and save them from the landfill.
If your willing to look through bins you can find some great stuff here for dirt cheap once got a whole garbage bag full of clothes and a few shopping bags of random stuff for like $40 and they have a furniture store in the back and I love it I once got a nightstand and two plastic dressers for $15 total great place to get furniture if your not too picky. The staff is also friendly and helpful!
4Stars for the Bargain Prices.... Great Staff. Like said Find the time to come here. Also it a Hit n Miss too. But I love this store. Thank You!!!
Oh god wonderful place prices are best of all , I am fascinated by this place as their payment method is by pound and not by article this is certainly good
Great place for a deal. Also there has been a lot of organization recently, allowing for better viewing of items.
What a great cause... I love this place... My little diamond in the ruff.....
Stuff just put into bins. Not sorted or laid out.
Great finds, excellent staff.
Its got good deals
Price matching is a super awesome feature of all Liquor Depots and this one is in the neighborhood. This location also has very helpful and polite workers.
A great place for you to bring your clothing, furniture and decor items that you are replacing. Because it's also for a good cause.
Wow
A little bit frustrating on their sales
Some nice things cheap prices
Great spot. Just relocated here and used this place to furnish and utensils and blankets and clothing for family of 6. You pay per pound for stuff. It is great.
It was a really cool experience
Interesting method of bulk selling donated items.
Great place to get furniture for cheap.
Very good deals
You get items by the weight there... It's awesome
Didn't find what I needed but,,,,,
It's a different experience. You have to dig in bins in a hurry. You can get some good things if you buy 50lbs of items for .99 cents a pound.
They strictly follow COVID restrictions. Lots of good stuff and way cheaper, just be patient going thru those bins.
Selection of goods different every week
If you are looking for something cheap and you are just plain practical and in a tight budget. This place is for you.
Zero directions like that you need $5 cash as a deposit for a card. They allow 22 people in at a time. The staff are not helpful at all. The clothes are sold by the pound $2 up to 50lbs over its $1. I just wanted old clothes for rags to fill a Heavy Bag. Nothing was of quality to wear as clothing, in hindsight I could have gone to princess auto or Gregs distributors and bought rags 15lb for $10.
Good cheap place place for clothes and items
It has lovely vintage style w/taste
I can't wait to get there alot of times I walk through to see if any new furniture came in
Amazing! I got a cheap, fake lv belt for 98 cents along with pokemon cards!
Goodwill is not just a donation centre but also changing lives of the community especially the needy. You guys are amazing. Keep up the good work. Thank you!
I did not like it because you have to look for clothes in boxes and it's dirty, haha. I know it's used clothes, but I prefer to pay a little more for something more pleasant. sorry
Cheap. Anf i only got fungus from one of yhe shoes! Jk but alot of pushy and grabby people.
Never made it inside, had my granddaughter with me, no one under 16 allowed . Now you know
Not good
Yesterday we went with my family to get clothes and shoes but they only allow one person per container and the first person who touches the container takes everything and the next in line has nothing left that is unfair because all the people who They go there to buy, they should have the same opportunity to get what they need. Also, there were a lot of rude and rude people getting angry if someone approached their container. Good will. They should implement equal opportunity policies.
Great for people
It was cool !! Enormous is size and good location for the cause. The staff are pleasant and seem to be enjoying themselves .
Tried calling multiple times on multiple days to see if they are receiving donations. For some reason they have a long message of their outdated holiday hours and then it says to speak to a representative press zero. Every time I press zero, it hangs up on me. Every time. It’s a little farther drive but I’ll take my donations elsewhere.
Loved it
Fun place ,
Decent second hand stuff if you willing to dig through bins n bins of stuff. One BIG issue is there is a tiny/short supervisor/manager treating customers like kids and being mean.
Amazing place with great vision and fantastic services. Love how they try and keep as much material out of the landfill as possible.
Dropping off a truck load toys and clothes 525pm was told I have 5min to unpack my truck.. thank god another staff member came up and helped me get it all in
Staff are extremely RUDE
By the pound people can't get better than that
The coolest place ever! First off this place has so much going on that's such a great cause for environment and community.... Not onmy do they take care of the recycling in Edmonton it lessens the environmental impact by reducing the amount of garbage in land fills, they employ ppl who have disabilities giving a financial independence to those with special needs, last but not lest the goodwill has there services in the same building, and u will be missing out if u r a thrifty shopper and love the treasure hunts, cause here u buy items buy the pound! Soooo freaking cool.... I love love love it.... So fun... Thank u so much for providing the city with these services and keep up the good work.. ????????????????
Got some great end tables that have been refinished. They look great
Very cool place to find treasures
Cheap clothes
was there for an event and everyone was kind and COVID aware!
friendly and efficient!
Tiny entrance for a huge facility. I was greated by a little old lady about at least half a decade past retirement. I said to myself "that's cool and nice of her for volunteering." But then I got no help for donating a couple of back breaking boxes of books. Not even offered any dolly of cart... maybe because I didn't ask. Then I remembered stopping by the St Albert donation centre where a working age man immediately came to help wearing a pair of no bull gloves. I immediately saw the contrast; tiny entrance for a huge facility.
Hunt. Dig
Lot's of interesting stuff there ????
Just got a bunch of lights and Christmas decorations for super cheap!!! $2/lb for less than 50lbs. $1/lb if you get 50lbs or more... Will definitely be back, gotta hit that 50lb mark next time. Super fun and exciting, yes people are a bit grabby when the guy says "go!" But that just adds to the excitement!!
If you love saving money there's nowhere better then here on second hand items
Thrift store/waste reduction centre where you pay by the pound. They also have a pay per item furniture store. The neat thing is that they refresh stock every 15 minutes.
(Translated) Awsome place (Original) Awsome placeu
Because you pay by the pound everything is really cheap. I ended up getting 11 items, all of recognizable brands, for a bit over $15. There are no changing rooms though, which is a bummer, but most people seem to come in hopes of re-selling items. Come well-caffeinated and patient or you will suffer immensely, there are SO many buckets and it take awhile to find good stuff (although it is even more satisfying when you do!). People can be aggressive and most seem well experienced in Goodwill Outlet shopping, but don’t let that intimidate you, hunt for the gold!!!
Not much selection but i think it depends what day you go but very clean
Not quite a thrift store as it is a bargain hunt. Things are not individually priced but you pay by weight. It requires more time and patience, and a keen eye for things like broken zippers. However a great place for art work or toys. There is also a large furniture bay that had what looked to be items from a professional office that were good quality items. Furniture is individually priced. The center runs an employment program for individuals who need help with employment, so you know you are supporting something bigger than just a store. Worth stopping in but I would have never found it by just driving past.
Awesome place to visit for home decor if you don't want to spend much.
The place is really hit or miss ... found a good deal in an excercise bike but the 3/4 of an hour I waited to get in to find nothing was telling of how things go here . They only let a small number of people in at a time... and those people spend quite a while going through the items and just hanging out waiting for new inventory while others are left outside waiting to get in , be patient it could be an hour or more to get in and you may not find thing so ... yeah
Nice
Always so much random goodness. Be prepared to sort through alot of stuff when you go, and it's pay by weight. Staff are super helpful and friendly, and make sure to ask questions if you don't know or its your first time going, they will help!
Love this place! They sell by the pound. Merchandise is always circulated. Check it out!
Most of it is a rummage sale
I love this place ! Especially the warehouse guys. They're laugh and joke around with me when we're there. Great guys.
this thrift center offers a unique shopping experience, I was able to find furniture for my new home super cheap and in decent repair, and digging through the clothes bins got be quite a good haul!
Wow there are some amazing deals here!! They gave a great furniture section where you can get everything from tables to tv stand for under 100$. Then they have a clothing section where you can dig through bins of unsorted clothing to buy clothes by the pound. Donations are received and thrown straight in the bins without basically any processing, so selling these clothes is pure profit for goodwill and you get smoking deals! You do have to do some digging and find great items that aren't your size which sucks, but it's worth it because it's so cheap. I got two entire armloads of clothing for only 25$! Plus, because you have first crack there are some real gems in the piles still.
I love this store, amazing prices and finds. The only thing to complain about here are some of the other customers. They act like vultures and don't care if you're disabled. They will absolutely throw stuff in your way/at you and and push you out of the way so they can get their greedy hands on good deals. And this is every single time I visit with every new bin that comes. There may be rules but they are disregarded and not as enforced as they should be.
Great place to find deals. Watch out for resellers they a little pushy tho.
Awesome finds! I mean it.
Buy by weight. You really can find some great stuff cheap.
There needs a rotation of people at the new bins. The same people bully anyone else wanting to get in.
Not as good as it used to be . Needs more parking . Staff needs to be able to understand English. Though furniture selection has improved .????
The side with the large bins can be a bit hectic but the warehouse side with the furniture is hands down the best place to buy pre-loved furniture in town. You can find new, almost new, older but sturdy pieces here at a price point that cannot be matched.
It was a treasure hunt experience sorting through rubbish to find gold. You'll need to go with 2-3 ppl if you are looking for certain items as people come prepared to take it all. All the sports/active wears were all taken by one lady who came with her family...lol ..so there were non for me ????but was a good experience
Reduce, reuse, recycle! So much second hand merch as bargain prices. Clothing to furniture and lots in between. Picked up a tv stand for $4.
Organized, everything was priced and lots of Great deals!
Awsome
Super friendly staff, fun place to go. I’d suggest bringing hand sanitizer:)
The owners and employees are very rude, lots of drama here, "Leaders" with power trips. This place is disgusting. Don't come here unless you're looking to fight.
Only at Goodwill Center will you see the goodwill of the good hearts. A variety of items for grabs for next to nothing. Friendly staff. The furniture section is filled with lots of beautiful vintage items. A lovely place to shop for those on a tight budget. From furniture to clothing to book to games to original CDs and DVDs, electronic there is a wide variety. Lots of car parking space available. Parking is not a paid packing.
Help the people with disabilities and I am totally into it.
Lots of unique items in the furniture area.
Goodwill states that our best donations are sold back to us. It's not true with the books from the donation centers, only true with some store donations. Ask the employees some are aware. If anyone has more information about Goodwill behind the scenes book process please let me know as we are currently building information. Especially regarding the changes end of 2019 and early 2020.
fun if you like being mauled
Staff is rude. Manager is even more rude. And becareful of the regulars they will push you around. Issues are not handled professionally.
Great place to find a new to us office chair if a bit out of the way.
(Translated) good (Original) جيده
Your home page says you sell the best items at the retail stores meanwhile the best books are being filtered out and only leftovers for sale in the stores. I can see that my donated books are not going on the store floor. Any of the good ones. Aren't they being sold to Caleb Roth the book guy in the US?
Good deals
It's a good chance to get some furniture items at a fair price.
Very helpful. Always willing to take donations. Prices can sometimes be a bit high, but it's for a good cause. Only thing I would like to see is maybe a 5$ negotiation space? But still a fantastic place that goes amazing things.
Very disappointing . Very disorganized . Never go there again. Wicked
Was able to get some clothes at a reasonable price. The staff are pleasant and keep good control of shoppers
Can somebody tell me where on their website it says no children under16 are not allowed in the store went there and waited to go in and got told no babies allowed but yet their store allow them. frustrating
U have to shift through a lot of junk, but can find some good stuff and cheap!
Good stuff
Store is kind of dirty and the cashier was rude.
Bargain items, and lots of stuff to choose from.
Was a fun experience
Grat bargains
Not a store at all
Read the rules on the board, buy into the culture, have patience, visit often and have fun. But it's not for everybody. Especially great for getting cheap clothing, shoes and household items. Occasionally you will score major deals on other stuff. Can be very competitive for things like shoes, music and dvds, household items, toys and electronics.
Got a lot of really good deals! Staff seemed a little overwhelmed on my last visit.
Bin sales of stuff by the LB. Felt like dumpster diving but there was deal to be found.
What a great Idea for a thrift store. There are several rows of bins that are brought out and removed throughout the day in a systematic order. You get the opportunity for 20-30 minutes to go through those bins before they are remove and replaced with fresh ones. The staff there are great and always friendly to chat with. The real downside to this location is the entitled and pushy regulars, they try to make up their own rules and will do anything to get ahead of you in line. Most of them are resellers and not traditional thrift store shoppers. Stand your ground with them and don't let anyone not in a Goodwill shirt tell you what to do as they will take advantage to get you out of their way. Staff would do well to put time limits on people when the store is busy. I'll update to 4 star if they start reigning them in somehow as that would make a more pleasant experience. Prices are by weight with cheaper prices when you go over 50lbs or for books.
This place is very helpful all around Edmonton!
Friendly staff, unbeatable prices
Interesting place. Really like the premise but that can attract some very pushy people
Shabby atmosphere
It's a good place for used furniture.
Well hello to you all you can never go wrong here folks ill tell you a little secret get it letest wraped you can taste the juice from the patties better just love it so you try it. Happy holidays to you all. Regards
Great
Alot of resellers and grabby people
Good experience and staff was helpful
Very clean. Good prices and knowledgeable staff
Awesome place with amazing finds Just wish people would be more considerate and not act like savages at the bins. Idk why people think it’s ok to be this way. Super annoying- that’s my only complaint and has nothing to do with the organization. People!
The staff are very nice
Not much kids clothing but lots of furniture and toys for children.
No kids allowed in, apparently?
(Translated) You always find an idea with just a few dollars (Original) Trovi sempre una idea con pochi $
Amazing deals
Love this place
Great values if you take the time to look for them.
Wonderful place
Got some amazing deals on 2 leather chairs....
It's incredible. But you have to see for yourself.
Always like to visit here.. Seems I can always find a deal or 2 ????
Meh
The people that shop here are disgusting!! They get here at opening and stay ALL day picking through each cart. And there are families of 5! With only 15 people in at a time. Goodwill should kick them out after an hour Alk I can hope for these people is that KARMA catches up with their disgusting behavior.
Didnt let me in cause i had a child with me. Dont waste your time.
Great value on merchandise in very good condition!
Interesting place have to see beyond what's in front of you. Could repurpose lots of the furniture and you will have a great deal. Need stamina to go through the clothing bins
I went there this morning and the manager approached us and asked if we are on same household and we did said yes and informed us about the new policy of 1 household member, and so i went out and left my friend inside. When i fall in line at the main door i was told again of the new policy which without any hesitation i complied, then found out familiar faces of customers who were husbands and wives, and mother and daughters, regular customers for years like me that staff were aware of. Calling the attention of the manager on duty today april 10,2021, if you want to implement new rules make sure that it should be fair and equal to all, not only applicable to me. I have been in this place almost regularly and i received same cold and sarcastic treatment from the manager, falling in line outside she was very nice and friendly especially to other customers aside from filipino, when the customer is filipino you can even barely see her smile and greet what a sudden change in mood. You are a filipina and we filipino customers does not demand exceptional treatment from you we just want to be treated fairly! I am just wondering how come the management is not doing something about her attitude, where as even her co workers admitted that she is really rude. The complaints about her from the customers and staff were overwhelming.
Fun times here. Too many regulars ruin the vibe. Grabby and aggressive people. The staff are cool Tina, Sandy, and Grace are very helpful.
So busy
It had been great experience. But look at the prices now. I saw a price tag covering something sketchy on the piece of furniture. I saw stuff from dollar town pricing overly than the original cost. Shoppers, buying from goodwill are doing community good for the poor families in need, not to support their board continuing getting raise n bonuses during these difficulties. In fact, shoppers come n buy from second n even third hand stuffs do not help towards business n the blue collar industries. Why dont we stop going there in order to discourage the pricing policies of this ‘thrift‘ store and start letting those realize that at current if their business do not change, those who really need to pay at a minimal price from the donations of all the Edmontonians will be suffering! Please....
Hunting good stuff
Prices and quality of used furniture has changed so much it is not profitable for me to shop there to look for pieces to refinish.
The furniture section is awesome!!
Very chea, price by pound
I bought a mirror here and broke it when I got home. That has nothing to do with Goodwill but I did get a great price. The store is well organized and run well.
Awesome , Amazing , recycling and wonderful associate's. .
We found a wheel chair reasonable!!
Very easy to donate at this centre. Tyson helped me unload my car and provided excellent and speedy service. Fantastic experience. Thank you!
Scary place. Dirty. yuck
Fair prices, lots of inventory
