I placed an order July 5th, it is now end of September and I hadn't heard anything. I went in today to get a refund and was met with a very rude "manager". My dress was there in the back and she refused to give me a refund as "it had been there since August 15th". Well if it was there, where was my phone call!? I refused to purchase it fully from the lack of communication. She tried to convince me that they called me however I have no record of such on my phone and no voicemail. Don't you think if you wanted to get in touch with someone you would leave them a message? She then told me it was my job to be responsible and call them. Excuse me? I am responsible thank you, and it is not your place to insult me. Maybe you should have been responsible and call me and meet me with professionalism as you are the apparent manager. Buyer beware with this so called business. I should have listened to the other negative reviews and purchased a dress somewhere else.

Went here with my little sister to find her a grad dress. They had many amazing options for her to try. Although the product offering was great, Echo Evenings & Bridal had an even more amazing team helping their guests. I have never experienced a group of sales associates that were so helpful patient and kind. They made my little sister feel like she was the most important person in the room. Any time she need anything they made sure to get it immediately. They also brought her dresses that she thought she would like and look good in. The business looked like it was ran by a family, which added to the positive experience that much more. Great family run business and I hope they continue to be successful in the downtown core of Calgary

I bought a dress for my wedding, they sent me to a tailor called Prince Tailor and told me that this guy is very experienced and he can pin and alter my dress. I am very disappointed with Prince Tailor, he literally ruined my dress!! He shortened my dress but it is not straight! He altered the back piece to make the dress smaller but it was done so poorly that the hooks and eyes are exposed on the back! He is supposed to know and pin what needs to be fixed , but he didn't. When I pointed out to him that the dress is too big on the chest area and it needs to be fixed and he told me that it cannot be done and told me to buy a bigger bra instead... (But my dress is deep v low cut on the front) ! He is very irresponsible ! I ended up spending more money again to get another tailor to redo the dress again ! And the other tailor also told me me the alteration was done very poorly! And she needs to do extra work to cover his mistakes! And the worst is that some one the mistakes cannot be fixed ! I am very concerned and disappointed. Echo should be responsible as you highly recommended Prince Tailor to your customers!

Went looking for a grad dress, daughter didn't know what she really wanted. The store was well stocked and the lady helping us was very patient and kind to our daughter. We spent over and hour and a half there and tried on countess dresses but we did find the dress! Store was clean and had comfy chairs to sit in while we waited.

Worst experience. I went with my friend as we were both looking for grad dresses. We made an appointment before hand and when I got there they were already pushing us out the door saying we only had until 5;00. No one helped me at all and when I asked to try dresses on there wasn’t a dressing room available which would normally be fine except we made an appointment and you could tell they wanted us to leave. When a room was available, I had to beg for help and felt the need to apologize for the inconvenience of needing help doing them up. At 4:40 they asked if we were “finally done” I asked if I was correct that are appointment went till 5;00 and they were very rude about it. Disappointed as some of the dresses were actually very pretty.

I was at the TD square location & all the girls were WONDERFUL! Susu helped us out so so sooo much and I found my engagement dress in under AN HOUR!!! I ended buying two beautiful dresses. Once I told her one of them was for my engagement, she went to the back of the store and gave me the cutest pink teddy bear as a gift!! The sweetest soul!! I will recommend her service to everyone!

We’ve been to almost all the dress stores in Edmonton as well as a few in Calgary and this was by far our best experience. Izzy helped up a ton with finding the perfect dress. We tried on many dresses of different shapes and sizes and she was very good at picking dresses that flattered my body type. She also gave honest opinions which we much appreciated. It felt that she wasn’t trying to sell me a dress, but rather helping me find the perfect one for me. They have a huge selection of dresses and no limit to trying them on. All the employees were very accommodating.

Just wow! Fast fulfillment and shipping even during this pandemic. They had the exact dress, color, and size my daughter had tried on in another store just before everything shut down, but for about $125 less and free shipping! I wasn't going to buy a prom dress as it was officially canceled, but all of her friends are doing a virtual get together and she wanted pictures and the memory, and I didn't want her to feel left out. So happy that I found Echoevenings online!

Extremely unprofessional. First of all, I was pressured into buying a dress that wasn't my size as they claimed it wouldn't be available if I waited just a week longer. The dress was two sizes too large as they claimed it could be fixed with alterations without mentioning that alterations would be an additional $200. Secondly, the owner of the store made my friend cry. A 40-year-old "professional" made a teenager cry. My friend waited 6 weeks for her dress when they said it would be 2-4 weeks, so she left a one star review and instead of approaching her and asking how they could improve in order to deserve a better review, they berated her with comments attacking her personality until she cried and then threatened not to do her alterations at all. I am shocked by the level of this incompetence. I am convinced the only reason they have a business is because of their monopoly on grad dresses.

Used to be a really great place to go. But both the last times I have visited (within the past 3 weeks), the employee was not helpful at all and was super disinterested. The 2nd time she didnt even greet us and only said 1 word to us right before we left. The first time she took 2 personal phone calls and ordered pizza while on shift. Not good customer service. Edit: For the first time we were there we had an appointment booked and the employee still was disinterested and took personal calls. The second time there was no oje else in the store, and she still failed to greet us or offer any help.

Terrible customer service. You walk in to the store and you feel like you're being ignored. Employees avoid looking at you and no one says anything to you even if the store is completely empty. Unethical business and terrible unprofessional customer service. I was shopping for a dress for a family wedding, and I found a dress that I liked and I was told by the person working there that it was "designed" by the owner of the store and gave me the impression it's one of a kind. They even had their own name on the tag. Very convincing!! I made the purchase based on that I'll be wearing a dress without having to worry that someone else will be also be wearing it. A week after purchasing it, I found the same exact dress (design, colour, etc. it was a replica) at another store, with a different designer name on the tag (not store name), AND it was for $200 cheaper (not on sale, that's the regular price)!! Echo deceived me and when I complained and wanted a refund (the dress was unworn, tag was still on it, not altered, it was the same condition it was sold to me) they said their store policy doesn't allow it. I talked to the store owner and she kept repeating herself that the factory sells the design to multiple stores and they're allowed to put their own tag on it. But that's not the point. I would understand that but in this case I was specifically told that the owner designed it which means they specifically tailored that dress for their own store, has nothing to do with a factory selling their design to various stores, let alone the factory selling the "owner's design" to other stores and designers. THEN the owner who couldn't address my concerns and had no answers to them, abruptly says that she has a meeting to go to and hangs up on me!! Extremely rude and unprofessional! This is not how a business deals with their client issues. I know many formal wear stores don't allow for a refund and I understand the reasoning behind it, but in this case, since the store lied to me and sold me a dress based on wrong information, they should've stepped up and made an exception and refunded the dress that was still in the same condition. I will ensure everyone I know hears about this story and the unethical behaviour from this store owner. UPDATE: Since I can't respond to the owner's comment, I will do so here. We went to the store to understand why we were lied to and find a solution. No one harassed anyone. The employee and owner were both unwilling to help. Not sure what offer they are mentioning below. Also, after the owner hung up on us, the employee was trying to call her back and also texted her, but the owner didn't respond back to her. The owner left her own employee on her own and didn't help her out (which may has caused the employee to feel that way as she had no backup from her manager and left on her own to deal with the situation). It's interesting how the owner is trying to divert the issue as she still did not address the fact that they lied about the design of the dress. Why were we told the dress was designed by the owner when in fact it's a factory design that's sold to multiple stores? It's a shame this store owner doesn't know how to deal with customers nor does she have her employees back. Poor decisions of this store owner led to the escalation of this issue when she could've simply handled it much better!!

This is my first time buying a grad dress for one of 3 girls. We called at noon on our way up to Calgary from Med hat and explained that we were short notice but really wanted to take a look. We hadn’t heard back from the stores in another city. They fit us in at 3 pm. We tried on a handful of dresses but only needed the second one. And the lady was so helpful and amazing. She stood by waiting for my daughter, Helping her in and out of the dressing room. My friend and I came in to try on a few dresses on a Friday afternoon, and although there were very few customers at the time we were treated like they were too busy to help us. After trying on three dresses we were told that we were limited to trying on one more (I had asked if it was possible to hold a couple dresses while I browse the store for more, but was told that they don't do holds and that I should come back with my mother - which did not answer that question that I had asked - I then told her that I wouldn't hold the dresses and would just try on more only to be told that I could only try on one more). There was no help with the fitting even though there seemed to be more than enough employees working. It was a disheartening experience - as Echo Evenings has a variety of beautiful dresses for a great price - but the lack of service and straight up disrespect steered me away from buying a dress. I believe it had something to do with the employees assuming that we did not have the money to purchase any of the dresses, although I had planned to buy a dress that day.

I have had the absolute worst experience with this store!!! I'm sure if you order a dress from the store and it arrives 100% then you'd be extremely happy with them. Which I assume happens 99% of the time. But be warned if your dress arrives and there is an issue with the dress, you're in for a great deal of grief!!! My daughters grad dress arrived with stains on it. And we now have a dress, because they were too cheap to clean properly has now shrunk and what fit her perfectly a week ago is now too tight. 6 days before her grad the only option (which was not given earlier when we would have had more time) is to return the dress for a refund. The store fully knows we have no option to find a new dress at this point. Oh also they are trying to blame us for everything that has happened. Making up complete lies!!! For what should be such an exciting time for my daughter, it's been nothing but stress and heartache!!! I highly recommend you spend your time and money in other stores that actually care about their customers.

I went with a non-traditional wedding dress from Echo Bridal and absolutely loved it! it was simple yet had just enough bead work and design to make it feel special and flowy. The staff are very caring and patient and helped me make all the alterations I needed. As well, they made some great recommendations for keeping a small train and helping to get the neckline altered without impacting the dress too much. For evening gowns their prices are quite reasonable, and I was very impressed with how inexpensive and talented their in-house seamstress is. I would highly recommend!

This place will not admit to their own mistake when they ordered the wrong dress. Instead they will blame it on the manufacturer and keep saying that clients will have to deal directly with the manufacturer. Really? Then what's the point of having these guys as the retailer?!?! They will try every possible way to force the dress on you that was not the one you ordered to begin with. All they want is your money. The female employee/owner is an extremely unprofessional and aggressive person. She will physically push you when she does not agree with you, and then she will call security after she's done pushing you (what's the point? She's the one who physically threatens her clients to begin with!) Even after the male owner finally agreed to refund the deposit, this is a terrible experience that this business should be avoided at all costs. Buying an evening dress is supposed to be a happy and exciting event, and who needs the hassle from these guys?!

This is in incredible store to go for grad shopping! It was the second store I went to, and they had such a wide assortment of dresses that fit current styles and trends perfectly. The dress I got was actually from the 2017 collection! A lot of the dresses (the vast majority) involve jewels, bling, and mesh. They definitely had lace and simple styles too. There's definitely more long dresses than short from what I saw. The try on experience is a little bit cramped (small change rooms with a large common area with mirrors where all guests sit) but it was still fine. I had one super sweet girl helping me clip and pin the whole time and she was so kind and didn't pressure me at all! I can't remember her name but she had short blonde hair! This store has one sample size of the dress style and they clip it to mimic its actual fit on you. If you decide you want it, they will measure you for size and order it. However, the dress I ended picking ( a gorgeous 2017 ice blue beaded Sherri Hill) was my perfect size in the store sample! They still ordered me a new one though. Overall I had an amazing experience and everyone was so friendly, I would totally recommend. Not sure about the service for alterations or how long it takes for the dress to come because that will come later. I will say my dress was about $800 with tax, and most of the dresses here are above $400 so this place is not cheap... but it is also in prime location after all, and it's because most of the dresses are from amazing designers!

Lol...the dresses are not well cared for, often falling off hangers & smelling of body odour Dresses with glitter decal that snag & tear any soft material are hung side by side to any old dress, regardless if the material is fragile, so that the dresses get pulled, snagged and have a worn look about them. Clearly they do not care about how their store looks or their merchandise...very sad because they have some of the most beautiful and unique gowns at more than reasonable prices!

Me and my best friend went in looking for grad dresses. We received no help or service and then when we went to try on dresses we were told to check the price tag as they may be out of our budget. Made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome in the store unless we were buying a $1000 dress.

Great selection of dresses. The customer service was also great. However, I would avoid having any alterations done through the store. They did a HORRIBLE job of shortening my daughter’s dress. The top layer at the front is four inches too short and the rest is two inches too long. If we hadn’t been on a deadline I would not have accepted it. Now I have to pay to get it done over and hope that a better seamstress can hide the damage or that’s $900 down the drain.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. If you are looking for a dress, do not go to this store, i could write an entire essay on everything that went wrong when I purchased my grad dress from Echo, but to summarize: I changed my mind the day after I bought it as I was pressured in to purchasing a size 2 sizes too big but they would not give me my money back, ended up being able to order a size that was one size smaller, went in to try my dress on when it came in to find the dress they had ordered was the size that was two sizes to big, the lady knew this when she ordered it and told me after that it was the smallest size available but never bothered to call and let me know,sent it away for alterations, called about it two weeks later (one week before my grad), the lady didn’t know where it was, said she would call me back but I had to call her, then informed me that the dress was done a week ago and that they had called and left a message, however I received no calls and no messages, went in to try my dress on and now it’s way to tight! Honestly do not go here, it has put a damper on my grad experience and I wouldn’t want that for anyone

Ordered daughter’s grad dress from Echo Bridal. They measured my daughter and allegedly ordered according to her measurements. However, the dress that arrived was easily 2 sizes too big. The clerk that helped my daughter try the dress on suggested that she must have lost a lot of weight since she ordered the dress! I assured the clerk that my daughter was the same size on pick up day as she was when we ordered the dress. The clerk at Echo Bridal that originally measured my daughter and ordered the dress, ordered the wrong size. With daughter’s grad looming, I had no faith that Echo would get an alteration right, so I chose to take the dress to our own seamstress for alterations. Our seamstress was apologetic about the extra expense (we had to pay over $350 for alterations - half of the price of the dress), but given the style of dress - tight bodice and full skirt and crinoline, the seamstress had to pull the entire dress apart in order to cut it down 2 sizes. I expected to pay to have the dress hemmed, however I did not anticipate having to pay to have the dress rebuilt. I gave Echo an opportunity to accept responsibility for the incorrect order they placed by requesting that they pay for half the cost of the alterations. Echo declined to share in the cost of these alterations. Very disappointed in our experience with Echo Bridal.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Go elsewhere to find your special dress. We purchased our daughters grad dress on March 27 and paid priority express shipping up front to have it sent to Yukon. We were promised it would arrive in 3-4 weeks max. It’s May 14 and the dress is still not here. My daughter graduates in two days. There will be no time to have her alterations done. The people at this company do not care they ruined my daughters grad. They will take your money, charge you through the nose for express service and pocket the cash, send the dress regular mail and pocket that extra cash too. They’re absolute dirt bags running this shop. Don’t trust them, they’ll ruin your special day if given the chance. Wish we had never stumbled across this hole.

It's been over two years since I purchased my prom dress from here but I felt the need to write a review after all this time - THAT'S how poor of an experience I had. First and foremost, I believe the negative comments shown here regarding how potential clients have been treated. Shame to see it hasn't changed. If you are in high school, do not plan to be taken seriously if you go here alone or with friends. I remember even bringing one of my parents and was STILL told that some of the dresses I had looked at online and planned to try on before coming in to the store were out of my price range, meant for more "special occasions" and were not worth my time. In writing this review I decided to go back to their page and look at the prices for some of the dresses I was looking at - approximately $510 each. The dress I decided on was over $600, and I was willing to spend more if I had to. Disappointing. Secondly, Echo Evenings is very popular among high school kids for their policy of keeping a record of what dresses are being bought by girls at certain high schools, so that no one ends up with the same dress at prom. That would've been great, except I had the most wonderful experience of discovering that someone else had bought the dress I had ordered FROM THE SAME STORE after I posted it on my prom Facebook group. Their response? Make sure to be careful, post earlier, keep an eye out for other posts, ask around; no real solutions. I can't remember if they had suggested that I cancel the order and try and find another dress, but after spending days searching and hours trying on gowns with such a poor experience, I didn't think it was even worth my time. Incredibly devastating spending such a large amount of money for something that isn't even unique to you. Truly hope this hasn't happened again. As if that wasn't traumatic enough, my dress finally came for me to pick it up and have alterations done. I was so excited and so ready to see the thing I had waited months for. Of course, not the end of it. It's finally in front of me, and all I can smell is this wave of like fish mixed with gym socks and lord knows what else. The dress itself looked fine from what I could see but the smell was almost INTOLERABLE - I almost felt like I was being sabotaged somehow after the confrontation about the dress mix up. Two years later after steaming and leaving it out, PRAYING it goes away, it's STILL there somehow. I have no idea if this was caused by them or the dress company but all I know is if it costs 6 racks, it had better not smell like sardines. The woman who did my alterations said it would go away and didn't mention anything else beyond that. Incredibly strange and left me feeling super nervous for my alteration. In summary: my prom dress experience was so traumatic that it has led me to have to spill my thoughts two whole years into university. I genuinely hope that no one else has to go through what I had and that if you are planning on going here to shop, yield my advice. Your dress doesn't have to cost hundreds of dollars to be special. And it especially doesn't need to come from a boutique if your budget doesn't allow it. And most IMPORTANTLY, no dress is worth going through what I had to go through. I went to three places before I settled on Echo and if it wasn't clear enough, I wish I hadn't. If any sales representative treats you poorly, don't offer them the privilege of your purchase. Be careful where you spend your money and be active in the ordering process. Don't let yourself become me.
