Durand Bridal has a lot of beautiful dresses within reasonable price ranges! I had a couple of little issues at this shop. After one hour they said my appointment was up. This is not much time when you're finding an important and expensive dress. There weren't many people in the store that day, so i felt i still could have looked, but i understand they have time limits. Nonetheless i did feel rushed with my appointment. My dress was also very late from the designer. I got it a couple of weeks before my wedding which caused a little panic and then had to have the alterations rushed. Leslie took care of the alterations for me and had a great seamstress who was able to complete the alterations fast. These are just things to be mindful of, other than that I walked away with a beautiful dress and a good experience with the very kind staff at the shop.

What an amazing place with amazing people. Picked up my wedding dress today and everyone was so helpful. Sure I was supposed to pick up my dress in April initially but we faced a pandemic and these ladies especially Leslie did their best to communicate the delay. I overall love this place and the women are caring and genuine. Very comfortable to be there especially in their brand new space. I highly recommend Durand over any other place. Their customer service is a thousand times better than David's Bridal. Go support them and be patient. Thanks again Durand and you beautiful ladies! Stay strong.

I have visited twice, once with my daughter in law to purchase her wedding dress, and another visit for myself for the wedding, Brittney looked after us both, for my daughter in law she was very kind and helpful, very attentive to her needs, as she was worried about her weight and fit of dress. We visited a bridal salon before Durand, and even though the lady was nice, it was very uncomfortable and not a great selection, so Durand bridal and everyone there was so wonderful and greeted us. It felt like a true wedding dress appointment. My visit was great as well, Iam deaf but that didn't stop Brittney from looking after my needs as well. She made sure she spoke into my phone clearly so my app would transcribe what she was saying, she was helpful with fitting and details, also let me leave to grab a bite during my appointment because my blood sugar was low!! I loved my experience here we both bought our dresses here. Prices vary they dont make you feel any different if your price range is lower. Highly recommend

After reading through the reviews, I was super excited about trying on my wedding dresses at Durand. But I may have had a different experience than most people here. I’m not sure if this is common, but I didn’t get to choose any dresses myself…. the stylist that helped me only gave me 2 minutes to look at dresses while she picked out a bunch of dresses for me. Maybe that was just her way of helping because I told her it was my first time trying on wedding dresses, but I really would’ve enjoyed my time there more and found more dresses that I would like if I was given more time to pick out dresses myself. Overall the staff there were friendly and helpful. I really wanted to enjoy my time there, but sadly, it didn’t turn out the way I expected.

The staff are so encouraging and kind! They're also understanding and patient when you don't like certain dresses and want to try on more. This is an amazing Bridal boutique! They had an excellent selection of dresses and the store felt open and easy to explore. The staff were knowledgeable, so friendly and helpful. Margie helped me find my wedding dress and made the experience so special. This was also the only store that kept my budget in mind while pulling dresses, which made it so easy. If you want to feel like royalty for your special day, the experience at Durand will leave nothing to be desired. An amazing experience and great kick off to a special event!

Leslie and her team always look after my bride (bridesmaids and moms too) making sure they have a wonderful and incredible experience. They carry a large assortment of gowns from a variety of designers in many styles, and more importantly sizes. Without a doubt, I know that any bride or bridesmaid can go into Durand Bridal and find something that will make her feel beautiful on the inside and out. Make sure you book an appointment before going so you can get the one on one attention that you deserve (versus just dropping in). Definitely one of my favourite vendors to work with!

As a plus size woman i was dreading looking for my bridal dress. I had put off shopping for a wedding dress for as long as humanly possible because I have a hard time finding nice clothes in general i was certain it wouldn't be possible for me to find a gown that made me feel beautiful. I did a lot of googling about plus size wedding dresses in Calgary before i felt comfortable enough to start looking and Durand Bridal had amazing reviews regarding their plus size collection. So i booked an appointment with my mom and bridesmaids. When i entered the boutique i was instantly greeted by a very warm and friendly stylist (i believe her name was Chantal) I told her my worries about finding something that fit and that i was hesitant to try anything on. She assured me that they had a great selection of plus size gowns and they would definitely find something that made me feel beautiful and comfortable. I picked out quite a few gowns to try and then went to the dressing room to try them on. I was very nervous about this as the stylist had to help me with getting dressed sometimes because of how big the gowns can be lol Chantal made me feel so comfortable and kept me talking and distracted that i wasn't even thinking about how self conscious i was. The best part of this whole experience was that i actually found a gown that made me feel beautiful and that actually fit me!!! Leslie (who i believe is the owner) even came over to see how the dress search was going, everyone made me feel so accepted and beautiful for who i am no matter what size i am. Im so glad that Durand Bridal was the first boutique i went to because it wads a better experience then i ever thought, particularly because of being a plus size woman. Thank you all so much!! I will definitely be back for my Bridesmaids dresses soon.

Dealing with Durand Bridal caused me the most stress of all my wedding planning! Dress shopping should bring you joy, and my experience with Durand Bridal is now the most negative thing I will remember. At first, we had a very positive experience and found my bridal gown and bridesmaid dresses in 1 stop (thanks Chantal!). We purchased them 9 months before the wedding, which should have been LOTS of time! However, I did not receive my bridal gown until 3 weeks before the wedding, and was then scrambling through 5 alteration appointments to have it ready. I picked up my finished dress ONLY 3 days before the wedding, which caused MUCH stress and anxiety in the weeks and days before my big day. Leslie's communication throughout the process was vague, inaccurate and falsely reassuring. I had to keep calling, leaving multiple messages and had no replies to several emails. There were issues with one of our bridesmaid dresses, the dress was mislabelled by the designer, which in fairness was not Durand's fault. However, the vague and slightly demeaning manner in which Leslie communicated their plan and timelines caused me an extreme amount of worry and stress. I was reassured it would be fixed in 2 weeks, then 3 weeks, then the next week or so...etc. It wasn't until the final 3 weeks before my wedding, and some upset phone calls while I was away on holidays, that they finally began to take some responsibility and help cover the costs of my alterations. Finally receiving all of the dresses was so down to the wire, that I didn't have the opportunity to find my own seamstress for alterations and had to drive over an hour each way to the far south (for 5 appointments) to get the job done. I was initially so excited to find my dress at Durand (and went there because of many positive reviews I had read). However, it was truly terrible dealing with Leslie at Durand, and think that much work needs to go into improving their customer service and communication to make it a place where anyone would want to shop. I do not recommend this place and feel sad that my dress shopping brought me so much negativity (you only get to do this once!)

I can not say enough how wonderful my experience was today shopping for my wedding gown. From the moment I walked through the door with my party of supporters, we were all welcomed just like we were family. I was quite nervous, and my stylist (Olivia) immediately put me at ease. We started picking out dresses, and I couldn't believe the selection. While I was trying on dresses other stylists would walk by and compliment me, which just gave me that little confidence booster I needed. Once I found THE dress they made it so easy to proceed with purchasing without pushing me. I will send bride after bride to Durand as they are a 5 star experience. I went to Durand with my girlfriend that is getting married next year. We had a sales associate that was assigned to us. My friend told the associate her budget and what she wanted. The staff were very friendly. The store was clean and well organized. It was a wonderful experience. My girlfriend got a dress that she loves. It has been ordered and she chose a different colour. It will take a while for the dress to arrive. Ladies, make sure you start your wedding dress shopping early so you have enough time for alterations and colour choices. Fantastic store! I highly recommend it.

They had an amazing selection of dresses, all within a reasonable price range, and Marjie made a point to stay in mine! I found my dream dress with her and it was an very enjoyable experience. Beautiful dress. But they ordered me the wrong size. And after calling them super upset about the price in alterations I had to pay, they offered to cover the “taking it in” cost. Which was amazing.... had they actually come through. After multiple emails. Multiple calls. I still haven’t received anything. $400 dress. $226 in alterations. Not being true to your word... = loss of business for the future.

The most wonderful experience! I went to Durand Bridal for my first time trying on wedding dresses and I felt like I was on a TV show. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. The store had many racks of beautiful dresses in all sizes! My consultant Margie (I hope I spelled her name right) was Fantastic! She took the time to get to know me and my fiancés story. She helped me find my dream dress and stick to my budget and quick timeline. I wanted time to think about my dress and I didn't feel pressured at all. On my second appointment she spent time with me trying on more dresses to help me feel confident in my choice. My consultant and the store owner talked with me extensively on how I could alter my dress. Margie even went the extra mile taking something home to work on it for me (she's the best). I couldn't be happier and I had so much fun! Highly recommend!

I visited Durand Bridal this past weekend. It was my 3rd bridal appointment of the day, and I was starting to feel like I wouldn’t find “the one” and that I may have to settle. I was welcomed into the store by two sales associates, and sat down with my MOH while we waited for Leslie (we were early). As soon as I showed Leslie the pictures of what I had tried on earlier that day, and what my vision was, she immediately had a gown in mind. I was then told to pick several other gowns to try on, with the help of Trudy. Naturally, I tried on the first gown that Leslie had suggested and it was perfect. Trudy was extremely kind and patient, and let me try on the other gowns anyway, while also making suggestions. In the end, I went with the first gown I tried on because it was everything I have ever wanted. Unfortunately, I ordered it in a different colour, not really knowing what it would look like. After I got home and searched it up, I started freaking out because I was afraid I’d made the wrong choice. I emailed Durand and gave them a call as soon as they were open, and they changed the colour for me without hesitation. Thank you SO MUCH, Durand Bridal, for all of your help! I’m so glad I found you guys.

This place is by FAR the best place for wedding attire!! Not only is the interior so beautiful!! It's clean, the selection is huge!! The staff are wonderful, kind, friendly, knowledgeable and personable!! Prices are also beyond reasonable! Brooklynn Wallace was helping us on more than one occasion and she is the absolute reason for our multiple return trips! She made the experience very fun and relaxed even in the slightly stressful times! Even when we weren't loving the dresses we tried on or the colors, she was able to read our thoughts and capable of getting us to see the good and picture it in a different color! She would stand behind us and hold it in such a way so that it looked fitted for a picture! She's simply the best! I definitely suggest a Brooklynn experience for your bridal party! So fun! The service here is UNREAL. had a bridal emergency, and needed a new dress 5 months before my big day (we all know, that isn't much time for a dress). I cannot even begin to tell you how pleased I am with this place. I would recommend it to ANY bride!! My dress is so beautiful, and they did not care I tried on like 30!! I recently went to Durand Bridal to look for my wedding gown and I had an amazing experience! I had Cassandra as my stylist and she was absolutely fantastic. Aside from being very excited to help, she was attentive and listened well to my comments on different dresses, each time getting me to try ones that I liked more and more. I found my dream dress at Durand at an extremely affordable price, but still had an appointment with another bridal shop so Cassandra put my dress aside and told me to stop back after my next appointment to try it on again and make sure it was THE dress. They were very busy, but made time for me to squeeze back in as soon as I came back. Overall, I had a fabulous experience, and my dress is perfect. I would recommend Durand Bridal to anyone looking for beautiful, affordable dresses, exceptional customer service, and a fun, positive experience!

Great Service! The consultant was exceptional. Pro and Con - it has a nice array of different size dresses, so there is something for everyone. Yet, when there is something for everyone, the selection becomes narrower. Great if you have a modest budget. Didn't find my dress here, but would recommend this store based on my experience.

Ordered dresses in September 2020, just got sent the dresses in July 2021 we all got sent the wrong sizes. The wedding is only two weeks away so this is very stressful. We reached out to Durand Bridal and the owner has contacted the bride and all bridesmaids to organize and pay for alterations before the wedding in two weeks time. Unfortunate event turned into a positive experience.

I always love referring my couples to Durand Bridal because I know they will recieve the most incredible service. The ladies always treat each bride as family. If you are looking for a good selection of gowns, this is the place to go. They have gowns in every size so every woman can come in and try on real dresses. None of my couples have ever had any issues with dresses not arriving on time and if anything were to happen I know the ladies at Durand Bridal would ensure everything was looked after on time I highly recommend Durand Bridal without hesitation.

Brenda and the staff at Durand's made our dress-shopping experience the most memorable time. We were shopping for a grad dress - and found the perfect dress thanks to their incredible patience. As my first place going for a wedding dress I didn’t know what to expect (especially during covid times) but they we very knowledgeable and friendly. As a plus size woman, I was kind of dreading wedding dress shopping. I had made several appointments at shops in Calgary, but durand was my first stop since they had such great reviews. I could not have imagined a better experience. They immediately greeted me and my party with warm smiles and enthusiastic attitudes. Margie was my dress finder/fitter and she had my entourage laughing and smiling the whole time. She also was determined to find me something in my budget, which I really appreciated as I could only afford around $1000 at max. She found me several beautiful dresses, but the last one I tried on knocked them all out of the park. My entourage loved it, I loved it, and I REALLY loved it when she told me it was $700. She also recommended some places to go for flowers and dress alterations, and I could not have been happier. I am marrying another woman and not only did everyone not even bat an eye at the fact, but they let me know they are one of the few shops that cater to transgender brides as well. My fiancee is a trans woman that has also been nervous about dress shopping, and she now has an appointment that she is very excited for. In the end, I was able to cancel my other appointments and breathe easy knowing i had found the perfect dress for me that made me feel beautiful. Thank you so much to Margie, Brooklyn, and everyone else at durand that made my experience so wonderful. I cannot recommend them enough!

I must say the customer service from Durand Bridal is excellent! Hands down by far the BEST Bridal Boutique in Calgary!!!! The One on One attention given to my Daughter made her "Say Yes to the Dress" moment perfect! I cannot say enough Not very often do you find a business which the staff treats you like family... And puts so much care and time into creating such a special moment. Not a hurry up try on several dresses, and push you aside for fear of over lapping appointments! Durand isn't about pushing sales up, or treating anyone poorly... Which indeed we did find at larger bridal stores in Calgary. How many boutiques have you seen or been too, where an Owner will come and make the time to personally speak to a Family, and a Bride to enjoy a Girls special moment in time... Leslie would. Honestly, I cannot speak highly enough of Durand Bridal. Everyone there is so amazing, and every time I come in they're so welcoming and encouraging! I went in for my first appointment with a picture of the dress that I was most wanting. They found it immediately and brought it over for me. They wouldn't let me just try on the one and insisted that I pick out others just in case my favourite didn't work (always a good call) but it just so happened that the dress I loved was perfect for me! Then they set me up with an absolutely amazing seamstress for alterations. We also got our bridesmaids dresses there. I wanted something a little more fancy than the usual bridesmaids dresses and they were completely supportive when I asked to see some graduation dresses instead. At each appointment, they asked more and more about the wedding and truly got invested in our big day. It was so sweet and it made each visit a little more special. I got my crown through etsy and decided to bring it in to show them and they got super excited! Leslie even asked who I got it from so she could reach out to her and network. One of the best things about Durand Bridal is that they're building a network of professionals for all your wedding needs. It's such a relief. We also got our suit rentals here because they have amazing prices and the perfect colors. They put up with us getting measurements to them last-minute and somehow got us suit pants overnight. Also, with covid restrictions changing things in the blink of an eye, they put up with us changing the number of groomsmen and everything. Honestly, if you're looking for a lovely bridal experience with some sweet and funny ladies that you know will take care of you, Durand Bridal is THE place to go!

As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by friendly staff that are knowledgeable and just as excited about your special day as you are. THEY SENT ME THE WRONG SIZE DRESS! My sister (bride) and her 3 bridesmaids (myself included) tried on dresses at Durand Bridal in January for her September wedding. We ordered 3 bridesmaid dresses and only 1 of us actually received the correct size. Myself and the maid of honor received 1 size smaller than what we ordered. The dresses were delivered later than quoted when we ordered. We were told they would be there early June, but arrived early July. I live out of town (Vancouver) and my dress was then mailed to me by the bride. I was in between sizes (6 and 8) and ordered the larger size (8) so I could have it taken in. I was sent the smaller size (6). When we reached out to Durand we were told I was sent the correct size, that I had ordered a 6. We showed them my receipt which clearly said I ordered an 8 and were then told it was the manufacturer's error, that my measurements fit a 6 and that was what I was sent. The dress was so tight I couldn't breathe, and had to be let out 2 inches. I was told that Leslie would contact me. I had to chase her for everything. I was told she would call me on Friday, and on Monday I was chasing her down to try to get a response. Eventually they made me an appointment with a bridal shop in Vancouver for alterations and I was told they would cover the cost, and I would not have to pay upfront. Leslie said to get a quote and they would transfer me the money right away so I wasn't out of pocket. The shop they sent me to requested up front payment. I emailed my receipt to Leslie the same day (Saturday) and was assured that I would be paid on Monday. Tuesday I reached out again because yet again, the timeline I was given by Leslie was not met. I did receive payment to cover the cost of alterations, but I was extremely disappointed in how the whole thing was handled. They refused to take any responsibility for their mistake and were not responsive to fixing it, it took multiple emails and phone calls to get anything done. We were so glad the bride didn't find her dress here. EDIT: I have since been contacted by Durand with a personal apology. They have reached out to everyone in the bridal party I was part of. I was given a refund for the dress.

We had really good experience with Durand team! Everyone is so nice and welcoming! Olivia helps us a lot and we have been back couple times! I have tried so many dresses on and she even let me to try on the veil! This is just so much fun! We also found this beautiful flower girl’s dress and Olivia is so efficient! I was pretty worried, and had just come from a bad experience at a chain bridal dress store (not in Calgary). This place was amazing! The customer service was really good, ladies were very attentive. The advice given by the ladies was very much appreciated. They had beautiful dresses, I was really happy. Even though I didn't end up buying my dress at this place, I still 100% recommend anyone going to this place.

We had a wonderful experience with the staff at Durand when we bought the dress and it just got better during the pandemic. Lesley, Margie & the rest of the ladies were FANTASTIC to deal with. We even purchased the bridesmaids dresses, my Mother of the Bride dress and the Mother of the Groom dress here. They kept assuring us that the dresses would arrive in time and they did. I went in to Durand nervous and apprehensive to buying my wedding dress - I'm 6'2 and a size 16 and had been to another store where I was only able to get one dress (out of 8) zipped up - not the best experience. Marjorie and Leslie made my experience at Durand AMAZING! Marjorie picked out dresses for me based on what I said I liked and she picked some that I would've never picked for myself - and they all were either able to zip and be clamped or were very close to being fully done up - this makes such a difference when trying to pick a wedding dress. When I put on the dress I ended up purchasing, it was not at all what I expected. They made the whole experience seamless and joyful. I can't recommend Durand enough. 100/100! Such an amazing experience! I went twice. The first time going was my very first time trying on dresses and it was an amazing first experience all thanks to Margie! Then I went to a different shop and it just wasn't the same so I went back to Durand Bridal for a second viewing (I had 2 dresses to review). Margie brought me a few new dresses as well and boy oh boy did she have an eye for what would look good on me! She brought me a dress that was different from the 2 I had originally narrowed it down too and I fell in love with it. So much thanks to Margie for just being amazing and really knowing how to listen but also just the amazing skill for finding you your dress! I will be returning to purchase my maid of honors' dress, my flower girls, ring barers and the groom and best man suits! I can promise you, with Margie's help you will find your dress and you will have the most amazing, fun, perfect experience!!

I have been involved with 3 weddings where we got our dresses from here either just the bride, or the bridesmaids or both. The actual in studio experience is great compared to others. They are attentive, you have a lot more room, you feel comfortable and the dress selection per size/style is great (especially if you are not a "model size"). They are absolutely lacking in communication post dress ordering though. Twice it took over 7 months to get bridesmaids dresses, which should not take that long for those, but what made it worse is that their following through with giving you updates was disappointing. With either not calling you back or making up numerous excuses. Most recently went in with my best friend in early December, for an October wedding. Originally she was just browsing to get an idea and ended up finding "the one" so bought it that day. Fast forward to June, she called and emailed multiples times asking for an update but never got one, so she actually had to go in and ask them, where they told her it was in Ontario and would be a week or so and they would "call her". Come end of August she still hasn't heard anything, again tried with the phoning and emailing and nothing so had to go in. There then told her it would be in the next day or Monday and they would "call her". Late September she hadn't heard anything STILL so called again. Surprisingly they called her back and said they had the dress this time. That is almost 10 months that it took, for a simpler dress that doesn't have a ton of small details. As a person in Customer service myself this is absolutely unacceptable. I understand that things get delayed and things happen, that's why you order in advance, but you shouldn't A) flat out ignore your customers to avoid confrontation and B) should be the ones to provide updates voluntarily. Unless you are a super "chill bride", with over a year before your wedding I would not recommend going to Durand. There is a major disconnect after buying your dress that they need to fix.

I tried on a dress, it was then altered, I can back tried it on again and was so unhappy with how it looked, I was in tears. When I told the staff they went above and beyond to make sure my experience was a happy one and made sure I had the dress I wanted for my special day. Rima (the manager) was amazing! She was caring, kind and professional and Steffie was so supportive with alterations. I have the perfect dress for my special day because they took the time to listen and make sure that I loved my dress! Awesome staff!

Just walked in on a random Sunday afternoon wanting to browse around. I expected they would be super busy, but turns out it wasn’t! As soon as I walked in, I had a lady greeted me and quickly got a consultant to pair up with me. We then chatted all about my dress vision, budget. She let me browse around the stores to pick out dresses I like first, before she went to pick out some for me. All the ones I picked turned out not looking nice on me. I then tried on one she picked out, one style that I wouldn’t pick for myself, it fitted so perfectly and it looked very nice. She then put a veil on me and it was so perfect. A couple of weeks ago I went to Durand Bridal with my daughters and friend to shop for a non-traditional wedding dress for my upcoming wedding. Upon entering Durand Bridal, we were warmly greeted by about five employees, who all seemed genuinely happy that we were there. Marjie was our stylist and she listened to what we were thinking, had us pick out some dresses we wanted to try on, and also selected a few that she thought would look good. We were there for about an hour and the service was phenomenal. Marjie has a great sense of humour and was johnny-on-the-spot with a clip to make the dress look fitted, another clip to put my hair up, a zip up and a zip down. She was patient and provided feedback. There were quite a few dresses that I liked, and had trouble narrowing it down. We had a second appointment at another Bridal Shop and the experience was night and day. We stayed at that shop for about 15 minutes and headed right back to Durand Bridal to purchase a dress (and a custom flower girl dress). The shop is family owned, and it felt like the employees were all family and had a vested interested in our experience and our purchase. Thank you for making our dress shopping day a fabulous one. If you are looking for that special dress, combined with that special experience - make sure Durand Bridal is on your list. If you do, I suspect you too will find that perfect dress, feel like you were treated as royalty, and will want to rush home to also give Durand Bridal a five star review.

Great experience here, all four bridesmaids were able to attend the appointment during COVID which was great. The consultant was super helpful, helping each girl find a dress that suited their body type and personal taste. In 45 minutes all of them found their dresses! Brittney made this a fun and seamless experience. The price point of dresses was lower than other shops carrying the same dresses (like Bridal Centre).

I had a very positive experience at Durand Bridal. The staff is very professional and courteous and they don't pressure you at all. I ordered my dress in May of 2018 and was told it would arrive by January 2019. I didn't receive my dress until April 2019. I was very stressed about this as my wedding is in June out of province. They assured me it would arrive with enough time to have it altered. When it arrived I was absolutely thrilled. They knew how stressed I was so they even had the veil ready for me at the time of pick up even though there is normally a lead time of a about a week for veils. They also gave me a lovely gift to make up for the delay with my dress (even though the delay was not their fault). The customer service here is great. I'm very happy overall and would recommend them. My only warning is to order your dress well in advance because you never know if there could be a hiccup but that applies to any bride no matter where you get your dress from. Also they don't do alterations on site. They have seamstresses who they partner with and you have to take your dress to them. I had a very positive experience with the seamstress they recommended (Anna's alterations).

I'm part of a bridal party of 6, after a disastrous appointment at David's bridal we went for lunch and called other stores to see where we could get a last minute appointment (only 2 were successful at finding dresses so 4 of us were still stuck). Durand Bridal to the rescue. We got lucky with a last minute appointment, each had a fitting room, and the best consultant possible (Brooklynn). She ensured she understood the brides vision and then clearly explained dress options for us, gave us colour palettes to flip through to find the right colour, and expertly clipped the dresses to help us see what it would look like when altered to our shapes. One other associate was helping us as well, I think she may have been in training but she was also very helpful. It was a calm environment, everyone was very patient with us, and the whole process was extremely smooth. Also, huge props to this place for not having an additional charge for plus sized dresses. I was a bridesmaid years ago and was in between two sizes, one not plus sized and the other was. I went for the plus sized one to he safe but ended up paying an extra $100. No surcharge here for plus sized dresses!

This was the first shop out of five. I had an amazing experience with Victoria, and then all of the other shops just couldn't measure up to my first experience at Durand Bridal. I only had an idea of what I wanted and it took quite a few shops and dresses for me to really figure it out, but when I did, I returned to Durand Bridal for one more look to see if they had what I was looking for, because I was so impressed with their service and shopping experience, I was determined to purchase through them. Happily, they listened to what I am looking for and even though it will pretty much be a custom dress, they have all of the components I need and are WAY more affordable than other stores. Their attitude and welcoming people are worth experiencing. This is a family business, and they clearly love what they do. Anyone shopping for bridal/bridesmaid dresses will be impressed! I certainly was.

I had such an amazing experience at Durand Bridal on Saturday (Feb 22)! Brooklyn was beyond amazing along with all of the staff working. I had planned a day of Bridesmaids Dress shopping with all my friends and had a terrible time at the first store we went to (that we had booked an appointment with 6 weeks ago). We left that appointment feeling pretty discouraged and frankly annoyed, went for lunch and decided to call a few other salons to see if we could get in last minute. Durand Bridal was SO accommodating and got us in. When we arrived we expected to be a bit rushed as it was such a last minute appointment, but we weren't at all! Brooklyn was helpful and so sweet to all of us! It was the bridesmaids shopping experience I wanted and Durand bridal truly made that possible and saved the day! Everyone who needed a dress got one! I would highly recommend this bridal boutique! Update: The dresses arrived 4 months after the wedding (which was 6 months after when they were due to come in). I did have to postpone my wedding so all was not lost at this point. This was during COVID, so understandable that there would be a slight delay, but our numerous calls were ignored and when one of the bridesmaids finally got ahold of someone, she was asked if people wanted to order different sizes which led us to believe the dresses hadn't even been ordered yet. Unfortunately, only 1 dress fit when it came in. That particular bridesmaid had insisted on ordering "2 sizes too small" as she knew her measurements and size. Unfortunately the rest of my bridesmaids decided on buying new dresses altogether as the cost of alterations for dresses that much too big for them wasn't even worth it.

I had my bridal appointment on Saturday October 2nd, 2021. I went with my mother, my maid of honor (younger sister) and my bridesmaid (older sister) we drove all the way from Edmonton and area to come to Calgary. And let me tell you it was a great experience! Before I was even engaged, I had done some looking online only for dresses and found Durand bridal so as soon as I became engaged, I knew this was the first place I had to check out. I made my appointment almost an entire month in advance. As well when I made my appointment, I received a very friendly phone call to confirm my appointment as well a few days prior to confirm. Every time I had someone different call me, but they were always genuinely friendly and telling me how excited they were for me and to meet me as well I had made a note when booking my appointment that I was plus size I was very uncomfortable and concerned about finding something that would work for me they were beyond reassuring that they had multiple plus size dresses in different sizes for me to try out. As well on their website and many other Google reviews mentioned they were amazing with all size brides. very welcoming and size inclusive. We went in for our appointment the shop itself was clean, bright, and big. I was greeted and talked to for a little bit by the owner who was amazing and friendly. All the different styles and dresses were so pretty that were on display. The overall energy there was just very positive and welcoming. My appointment went very smoothly no pressure I felt very comfortable trying on dresses they absolutely listened to what I wanted I got beautiful dress tried on some veils to really help complete the overall look. I said yes to the dress! Paid for it which was a very good price as well and sometime next spring / early summer I get to pick it up I 100% recommend Duran bridal if you are a plus size even if you're not plus size I saw a lot of other different body types there it is amazing and also worth the drive if you are not living in Calgary like myself.

The pressure was on and my expectations were high, as I was with two of my bridesmaids who both had amazing experiences at Durand, and had both found their wedding dresses there. Boy! My appointment did not disappoint. Chantal was my consultant, and she was beyond amazing. She was attentive, considerate and LISTENED to every detail to find me my dream dress. The second dress she put on me elicit tears not only from myself, my mother but all of my bridal team. This dress checked all of my boxes and more! Bridesmaids dresses ordered 9 months in advance- we were told would arrive end of may.. didn't show up until end of July...wedding is end of August... 3 out of the 6 dresses were ordered incorrectly and they tried placing blame on the bride ! Durand bridal fixed the dress and ordered the correct ones.. they said it would be here in 1 week... didnt actually show up until 2 days before the wedding!!! If that's not stressful enough.. 2 days later was wedding day. One dress zipper completely broke we had to call a seamstress ASAP to come and had to get the girl sewn INTO the dress!!! All in all Durand bridal made this experience hell.. also blamed bride for all their mistakes ! Not impressed.. do not recommend

The girls at Durand's Bridal made my experience absolutely stress free! They had wonderful ideas when I wasn't sure what to do, and kept coming up with innovative solutions for my dress. They were truly concerned about the looks for everyone in the wedding party and cared about how cohesive and coordinated we would appear as a group. This bridal shop is literally as good as it gets, in every way! The staff are incredible and friendly, and they genuinely care about your happiness and in finding the perfect dress for you. The dresses are all beautiful and flattering and seem to be much higher quality than the other shops we had tried. Plus, they have a lot of little extra wedding items I have never seen in other places or even heard of, that are amazing! I am so impressed with this bridal store-as soon as I walked in the ladies were very helpful and welcoming. I had my 10 month old son with me, and one lady played with him while the other helped me try on a bridesmaid dress. The store also opened up to be a donation drop off for the Fort Mac fire. Absolutely amazing!!! We ran way over our appointment time without even realizing because we were not once rushed, and had all of the attention we could ever have needed. Every single woman there we spoke to was so sweet and kind, they were helping with everything under the sun and when I called to let them know I had decided on something else they were still just as sweet and asked me to send photos on the wedding day. 100% recommend them to every single bridal party if you’re looking for the full treatment. Most places I went hardly helped you out. These guys were different! Not only that, they stick to your budget completely and don’t bother having you try things on that you liked that was way off budget. Truely an amazing experience that I hope every bride has ❤️

This place was AMAZING for getting bridesmaid dresses. We first went in the morning to look and we thought we found a style we liked. We checked out another Bridal store to see their styles and decided to go back to Durand Bridal to see if they had the dress that we liked at the other store because their ordering was kinda of sketchy. We came back and Melissa was still there who helped us this morning. This women is amazing. We all at around her computer looking for dress we saw at the other bridal store since they didn't have on the rack. We found it! Yay! So we put an order in right away. As well since we were a bigger group ( 4 bridesmaids) they gave us 10% off AS WELL priced matched from the other store we were at. The manager was also really nice and gave me a magazine for my fiance to look at for groomens attire as well as they gave me a free garter to wear for my wedding! They wee really amazing!

When we purchased our bridesmaids dresses, the customer service was great! They were really helpful and offered lots of great suggestions. We had some issues with sizing when the dresses came in and Durand bridal was great. They helped sort everything out and they were very flexible. They offered several solutions and I was very happy with the outcome. The sizing issues were not the fault of the bridal store; however, they were still very willing to work with us.

Good service for wedding dresses! Great prices! Only a few issues. I'm a size 6, and all their dresses are like a size 12+ even with clips and cinching its really hard to get an idea of what the dress will look like... my bridesmaid wanted to try on dresses as well, grated we didnt make an appointment, but they were not busy, so we asked, stating we would share rooms since they were not busy, and if it did get busy we would give the rooms back. No meant no =/ Felt warehouse-y, and not boutique-y

Long story short...I ordered my wedding dress in October 2018, it arrived end of July 2019. Immediately brought it a local seamstress and 3 weeks later (with only days before i leave for my wedding I had no dress.) Followed up with Leslie and she got me sorted with a brand new gown within a day! So grateful! Great selection of gowns and wonderful staff!

Recently I came in with my best friend to find her wedding dress, we were able to easily book an appointment online and was booked quickly. The store was beautiful and really clean when we arrived, and we had all the attention from our staff member (can’t remember what their name was) the best part is the wide selection of dresses, not just wedding but prom and bridesmaids and even flower girls dresses. Great service and would go back for all our wedding attire needs.

Absolutely amazing. I was dress shopping with my best friend and this was the third or fourth place we had been, we weren't expecting much from our past experiences. We were helped by BROOKLYN and... wow. Not only did she genuinely want my best friend to feel amazing and beautiful- she made it a fun experience! We were laughing, crying, hugging. It was such a beautiful shopping experience. The OWNER also came and spoke to us to let us know information about alterations and options for bridesmaid/family dresses - you could tell that she really cares about her business. We ended up finding the most BEAUTIFUL dress I've ever seen and my friend said YES to the dress. Honestly I wish I was getting married so I could go and get a dress there!!! Found my dream dress at another store, they made it in my budget, then the pandemic hit and I checked in a few times and they assured me it would be in on time for my wedding day. The dress arrived.....it needed alterations (i wasn’t expecting that) they found me a seamstress and paid for everything! They also went above and beyond to pay for extra for me. I went to Durand after purchasing my dress in another city. I had been having difficulty with my bridal salon at home and was panicking and beginning to search for a back up wedding dress. Durand had the style I was looking for so I booked in, hoping I might be lucky enough to be able to buy it off the rack. The manager found out why I was shopping just through her kind getting to know me sort of conversation and immediately took action. Though the company was not able to directly release information to her because of privacy laws, she made sure the company was going to contact my bridal salon within 24 hours, and that I should be hearing from my salon shortly thereafter. She also promised that if I hadn't heard from them in a reasonable time that she would reach out again. Then as if she already hadn't done enough for someone who was likely not going to be spending money at her store, she gifted me a beautiful matching bracelet to "help me remember that it was going to work out." This woman not only went above and beyond, but for someone who she did not at all stand to benefit from. Not only did she resolve my issue after my own countless hours trying to do the same, but she kindly calmed my fears and reminded me that a wedding is supposed to be fun. The opportunity to meet this kind soul was one of the highlights of my wedding preparations. I couldn't say enough great things about this team.

Extremely impressed with the service of this location. I am the Maid of Honour for my friend's wedding and we arrived on a Sunday as we thought walk-ins were available. When approaching we saw it was appointment only. When walking in we were greeted with a warm welcome and inquiried if we could look around. They were busy and still took time to walk us around the shop and explain sizes and dresses. While looking they said if we were able to wait about 10 minutes we would be able to have someone help us. They went above and beyond to help even without an appointment. My friend got to try on three dream dresses with the help of the mom and daughter who work there. They are fantastic. Very patient and even stayed a tad after close. I will be looking here for my dress because of the experience and the amazing service. Keep it going ladies! You made our day.

It had been a long day of trying on dresses. And the store I had gone to before Durand found me the perfect dress but way out of my price range. Brenda welcomed myself and my bridesmaids let us look around at dresses. I found my dress and although another appointment was coming in Brenda and the staff ensured I had the time i needed to make that decision/I really wasn't ready to get out of the dress. Before I went dress shopping, I was feeling a little nervous about finding something nice for my body type and I feared I would feel out of place but all of that nervousness and fear went away immediately after meeting with the ladies when I arrived at the store for my appointment. I have never written a review before for anything really, but my mom and I were so impressed with Durand Bridal that I felt like I had to! We went to Durand looking for a dress for her to wear to my sister's wedding. We didn't have an appointment, but from the moment we walked in we were welcomed as if we were VIP customers. In the hour we spent at the store it really seemed like anyone that walked into the store was a VIP customer.The level of attention and customer service is unlike anything I've seen anywhere else. Leslie, the owner helped us out - she gave us a tour and explained the different designers and colour schemes that would meet our needs, They have a cute flower / butterfly system for picking out dresses that saves you from carrying around dresses while you look and saves them from having to re-organize dresses onto the correct shelves. The dress selection is absolutely beautiful and there is so much variety. We had gone to a lot of different stores before coming to this one with no luck at any of them and yet walked out of Durand Bridal with so many possible options. We did end up finding the perfect dress! All in all I have nothing but positive things to say. The store is beautiful, the selection is plentiful and the customer service is outstanding!

Melissa helped us with bridesmaids dresses and it was such a great experience! This was our first time shopping and all of my bridesmaids decided on a dress relatively quickly, so we wanted to go for lunch and decide whether we should continue to shop around or not. We ended up agreeing to go back and buy the dresses because the quality of the dress was great and the price was budget friendly. Unfortunately, Melissa was busy when we came back but Marjorie stepped in and helped, without question. She was very quick & efficient at taking measurements and completing the order process. Overall, Durand made our bridesmaids dress shopping very effortless and fun (the staff all seem to have a great sense of humour). Also no pressure sales!

There is a reason Durand Bridal has 5/5 stars and has won awards for the best salon in the city. My experience was absolutely amazing! I came in with my mom, step-mom and maid of honour, and we were treated incredibly by Victoria! We were practically the only people in the store, and were treated like royalty. Victoria took my suggestions and also picked a few other dresses to try on. In the end, I found "the one" at another store, but the selection was still amazing with a wide range of prices. I wish I could have found my dress here, just to continue to deal with the amazing staff! Victoria made the whole appointment so personalized to us, and offered a lot of suggestions for veils and accessories too. For any woman wanting a true wedding dress shopping experience, this is the place to go! I would recommend it to any of my girlfriends in the future if you want to be treated like a princess. THANK YOU DURAND BRIDAL! Seriously. I looked like a fairytale princess on my wedding day, and this was all in thanks to you and your amazing staff for helping me find my dream dress, veil (and garter!!) My mother, sister and myself had spent the day searching for wedding dresses, and Durand was our final (and most fun!) spot. Unlike some of the other stores, Durand allowed US to search their dresses, and indicate some of our favourite designs. I found my dream dress in a matter of minutes. However, the lady who was helping us, insisted that I try on a number of gowns, to really MAKE SURE that my dress was the one. Spoiler alert: it was. My wedding was in November, and we ordered the dress in January - thank GOODNESS. The dress was supposed to arrive in August - I didn’t get it until the middle of October. There was a miscommunication with the manufacturer, it got delayed in customs, and pretty much everything that could cause a delay in the dress getting to me occurred. I started to sweat. A lot. My wedding was a month and a half away, and I hadn’t even gotten alterations done. Thank GOD for Durand and Lesley. They got the dress in, fitted me with the most PERFECT veil, and even covered the cost of alterations and bustling due to the amount of stress the delays had caused. And the alterations? All of 2 weeks to be completed. Durand stored my dress and veil for me, and I picked it up on the Friday before my wedding. Even though there was some stress attached, Lesley and her team were great at answering every and all questions I had, and were AMAZING at helping de-stress the situation for me (and my mother!). THANK YOU DURAND!!!!

I bought my wedding dress from Durand bridal a couple of weeks ago and it was such a magical experience. Every single employee was wonderful, warm, and so lovely. I came back a couple of days ago to get a flower girl dress and mother of the bride dress and was just as impressed as the first time. They were able to find everyone something they loved within each budget, and more importantly something that would be ready in a time crunch. Before I left I discussed suit rentals with their suit department, and the lady there was so knowledgeable and helpful, my Fiancé will be going there for suits. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a perfect dress or suit!

I went to Durand Bridal to find my bridesmaid dresses and was a little disappointed. I had told them my budget to which they said was fine and would work with me. When we went to look through the rack of dresses, they only had about 5 colours to try on. There was several colour swatches available to look at, but I was informed that the colours weren't exact as the material was different on the swatches compared to the dresses... When my bridal party started looking for dresses, i noticed the prices of the dresses were a couple hundred over my budget. When I asked about this, I was told that they'd get 10% off the dresses to bring it down closer to my budget. Even with the 10% off, it would of been way over budget. We ended up leaving due to the lack of choices. One positive was I was given some recommendations about other places to find dresses after having to be quite straight that I would not be purchasing anything from them. I think overall its a great shop, but if you're looking for bridesmaid dresses, there aren't many options.

The service was exceptional, and the selection of dresses was fantastic and very versatile. I liked how private and intimate the dressing rooms were. Marje was amazing. She listened to what I wanted, put zero pressure on me to buy a dress right away, was beyond helpful and stayed with us through the whole process. When it came to making the final decision, I had two different dresses at two different shops to decide between. After trying my second choice elsewhere, I drove back to Durand in hopes that I could try on the first dress again, but didn’t have an appointment. The ladies made me feel so welcome, took me in right away, and Marje just happened to be working again that day. She remembered my dress and grabbed it for me, gave me a room, and reminded me why I loved it so much. I ended up saying “yes” right then and there! These ladies have been very helpful during COVID19. They explained the new procedures when my dress arrives for cleaning etc and when it arrived I was able to try it on in the shop. Prior to the pandemic, I tried on every dress in Calgary, twice.
