A helluva team! I've seen what these guys have done to improve not only properties we've traded but also their contributions to the Beach Hill and Beach neighbourhoods. Trustworthy and innovative.

We used Norseman for a 4-week reno of our main floor and thought they were great. From the first consult, when they suggested a design change we hadn't considered that saved us thousands, all the way through to the finishing touches. The workers were friendly and tidy, and our project manager easily stick-handled the unexpected things that pop up when taking apart 100-year-old houses. (They also graciously accepted my son's leftover birthday cupcakes and didn't complain once about the overabundance of sprinkles.)

Very professional, honest and their work and craftsmanship is the best I've ever experienced when working with a contractor. Everything exceeded my expectations. And the job was finished on time and on budget. Thank You Norseman Construction!!! You're the Best!!!

Kris and Kevin are wonderful guys, they are precise and very professional.- making sure every last bit is accounted for before starting the job. We had a contractor called Mario remove our upstairs wardrobe and flooring - he managed to remove all the dirt and flooring without leaving any trace through the house, work was a little behind at times mainly because he was trying to work around existing furniture and not deciding before hand what flooring and banister to purchase for our stairs. Ameen came and finished off the job and he is meticulous - takes his time on everything he does and is a great energy in the house when you are having work done. They will make sure you are 100% happy before finishing the job!

My husband and I have had a great experience working with Norseman. We are adding a back addition to our Scarborough bungalow and renovating the interior as well. The entire team from Kris, Kevin, Howard and Shahid are so easy to deal with. Shahid, who is the Norseman architect, has been phenomenal and very flexible. He worked hard to understand our needs and design a floor plan that works for our family. We have two young boys, one with special needs, and the design needed to work for our family. We've also had the pleasure to engage Norseman for interior design services and are so happy with the work. We can't wait for the finished product but wanted to share a positive review for the work done so far. Thank you Norseman!

In May 2016, I searched for a contractor to build my addition. I wanted one bedroom and one bathroom on my second level. I checked with four contractors. And of course, Norseman was one of them. All three told me that the minimal cost for my addition would be $80,000 – $85,000, except Norseman. The guy who came from Norseman told me that $70,000 would be enough. However, I should do the drawings with them to be able to direct the architecture designer to stay within the budget. Their designer cost $9,605. However, the company will give me $4,802.5 back when I start the job with them. And that’s why I agreed, and we did the drawings. In end of July, after they finished the drawings, he sent me an estimate with $76,000. Which I agreed and I thought that I could manage this extra $6,000. then during Aug. and Sep. He kept delaying, once he told me that we need to start with HVAC drawings and permit, then structural engineer, then plumbing, etc. I didn’t understand this delay, although I told him that we are expecting a baby on Jan 5, 2017, and I want the job to be done before my wife's due date. Unfortunately, after this delay, in Oct 2016, and before we start, he sent me another estimate with $94,000. A $18,000 above their initial one. And because I don’t have this money I said no. I called Norseman to see why this change and that I started with them because of their estimate which is $70,000. And their answer was that every partner in the company needs their share and that is why the estimate went up. I told him that I feel that they gave me a lower price, in the beginning, to make me choose them. They cost me more than $12,000 before the start which now I lost them. The city of Toronto gave me the permit. However, they want a structural engineer to check the footage and foundation. So, before Norseman gave me the last estimate, their structural engineer told me that after Norseman starts the demolition and when they have all their equipment in the location he will ask the contractor to dig a hole in the basement to check and sign what the city wants. And when I asked him specifically, whether it is safe to start the project before getting the measurement, he said yes. He is sure everything is OK. And when I checked with one of my friends, he told me it is good they didn’t start, because people like them their only motive is money will start, and then the structural engineer will ask for more money and more things to be fixed because they all work together, and it would be my biggest mistake if I started the project before the engineer clearance. Of course, I ended wasting more than $12,000 on the project which didnt start because of Norseman's change in their estimate. started with $70,000, then $76,000, then after I lost already $12,000 they changed their quotation to $94,000. I lost the trust of contractors and scared to lose more money and time. More important my wife and I can’t go through the stress again, especially that she is pregnant.

Just bought a home that was recently renovated by Norseman. They are claiming that it is not a Norseman Built Home when in fact Norseman Construction was the only construction company to work on this particular property. Norseman did 100% of the renovation which was very poorly done. I made an offer to purchase this property pre-renovation. I had a local construction company give me a written estimate for the full scope of the project renovation. Unfortunately the previous owner declined my offer and had Norseman do the renovation and then he relisted the property. Norseman did not install any heating in the entire basement yet they fully renovated it with new drywall and carpet. They did not insulate the basement walls so the pipes will freeze if I don't insulate before the winter. Rather than replace a rotted staircase in the basement they covered it with new carpet & wedged loose pieces of drywall underneath the rotted wood. The stair case does not touch the floor. It is nailed to the walls and lacks proper support. The kitchen area has a huge hole in the wall underneath the new counter tops. They did not put up any drywall in this 3 x 5 area. They spray painted all the radiators but did not bother to cover the new hardwood flooring so the dark hardwood flooring is stained with white spray paint all around every single radiator throughout the property. They removed a beautiful 90 year old stained glass window and replaced it with a new white window. This company clearly lacks design taste. If you want to hire a construction company who is actually going to do the job correctly and to code do not hire Norseman! Norseman construction is trying to avoid any responsibility for doing a very poor renovation. You just can't trust a company who does a poor job and then says they actually didn't do most of the work.

I am a local contractor and some lady just called me in because they had an issue with a previous contractor that was fired. She acted absolutely rude and disrespectful. Please make sure you keep these sub contracting companies in check and be careful not to get burnt. Contractors watch out.

An amazing experience! Norseman surpassed my expectations. I had previous problems with other contractors not delivering on their promises. So, I was skeptical at first but Norseman delivered exemplary service and under the estimated budget. During the reno they found some problem areas when they gutted the kitchen. Norseman was so helpful in offering me inexpensive solutions to help solve the issues quickly. The whole experience left me feeling like they really cared about their clients and were proud of their work. My new kitchen looks amazing and my family loves it! I normally don't give glowing reviews but these guys earned it!

I would strongly recommended using Norseman Construction for your renovation! They worked with me through my second story Reno. They were fabulous from start to finish! Josh, sales rep, who we met first made us feel really confident using Norseman, and we were not let down. They were reliable and did what they said they would. We worked with Dave, project manager, and with his dedication to our job and our access to builder trend, a program that lets you follow your job online, our home Reno went smoothly. Communication was great! Thank you Norseman! Our home looks beautiful! We are looking forward to getting a new kitchen with you soon!

We had already purchased our tile, bathtub, shower column, tub door, vanity/faucet, bathroom door and required a contractor to change the layout in our (very) small main bathroom. We received quotes from 3 separate companies. Norseman was the mid-range quote. Draft contract had to be revised, because wording in 2 different sections implied that we were paying more than the quote that was given to us. This was fixed by Norseman very quickly with no problems. Greg and Yuri were assigned to our project. The renovation went smoothly and quickly. After demolition was completed the scope of work had to be changed to include some insulation in an exterior wall, the quoted cost for the additional work was reasonable. We were required to buy some additional items after the renovation started and both Greg and Yuri were very specific and helpful with what needed to be purchased, so we were not wasting time or money with incorrect items. Final hand off had occurred on a Friday. Over the weekend we noticed a few small things missing. We informed Norseman on the following Monday, and the fixes were addressed by Wednesday. We are very happy with the end results. We will contact Norseman again for quotes on future renovations needs.

-Lack of communication/care was unbelievable, management of project was a complete disarray with continuous changes to quotes & hidden costs. -Norseman response to everything: we'll take them to court or you can take us to court and instead of having ownership of accountability/ responsibility, they hide behind the contract. -Workmanship is awful because everything is sub-traded. Trades used are not equipped, don't want to return to site or Norseman even withheld payment to them. -once they receive payment from the homeowner, don't ever expect them to return to your home for deficiencies, its your problem now. It seems that you can only expect communication if you complain about them in a review.

Josh was very energetic as we discussed my Contract for my basement renovation. Howard was my day to day contact and he was so friendly and answered any questions I had during the entire process. Thanks Norseman!

I was nervous because I had poor experiences with other contractors before but I was very impressed by Norseman's quality of work, responsiveness and their invoicing. They even have a fancy online portal to track the project that you can see invoices and approve change orders on. Shout out to Bryan and Arben for a great experience overall. The total opposite of contractors who don't reply, show up late and demand to be paid in cash without quoting/invoicing properly.

Professional, Marrisa helped us with our bathroom renovation project she is really a great person . She has taken care of even the tiniest thing we reported and get it done. I would recommend Norseman for renovations .
