Made a phone call 2 weeks in advance to get a line run to my kitchen sink under my trailer. The woman on the phone said there may be a delay and I said that was fine, I just needed it done within the next two weeks. After a week with no follow up or appointment time I called yesterday to find out what was going on. Again I was told that she would reach out to the plumber and get back to me. I asked if it would be by end of day Monday to which she replied either that or Tuesday. Tuesday came and I again called back and was given a response with no substance that the plumber had been notified but had not gotten back to her. I explained the importance of a follow up by end of day Tuesday and have been left hanging,. After calling back she is either not answering the phone or deliberately avoiding picking up my number. I feel I was more than patient with little to no engagement on behalf of Robert's. Not sure if this is a problem with their clerical staff or where the problem is but there's no excuse for someone to take your information and not get back to you with a 2 week turnaround time. I called another plumber who was able to confirm an appointment for Thursday and had excellent customer service skills that offered an appointment without the ambiguity. Management should take note of the poor service from their intake. Yellowknife is such a small community that it's hard to leave bad reviews for people without you expecting it to come around, but I'm done accepting that we have to settle for this poor service because we live in the North. I take my work seriously and expect others to do the same. Do the job right the first time and treat people how you want to be treated.

The owner, Art, came very quickly after I called about our furnace not working in -36 temperatures. He figured out right away what the problem was, had the part, and fixed it right away. He pointed out some other little issues that I had wondered about and I made another appointment to get those addressed. Would highly recommend and will use from now on. Thanks so much!

Discovered a broken water line under the trailer at 9:20pm. Called Robert’s Plumbing and Heating and they had someone at our house in under 15 minutes. Located break in the line; removed and replaced damaged section; had water running again in under an hour! When things go bad, they have never let us down.

I contracted this company to install a boiler for my newly built garage to heat the garage and house. I had done the bulk of the work, the installation of the things that required certification were still required, propane lines, converting the boiler installing the fresh air intake and flue. I followed whatever suggestions and recommendations he had for the remainder of the installation. He installed three circulation pumps, and the boiler. It was not until much later (5 years) when the boiler kept acting up when it was -47*C. He was unavailable, and did not recommend someone to assist in servicing the boiler which was unable to stay on long enough and produce enough heat to heat the house and garage. Now onto what was not done correctly, the low water sensor was installed physically wires run into the electrical panel and not connected. The conversion from Natural Gas to Propane was only half complete. The air fuel ratios were not adjusted (A key step in the installation, even in the installation manual) which resulted in an overly acidic residue in the heat exchanger pitting it over the years. It also damaged the igniters, and the exhaust gas temperature sensors (both). I had another Gas Boiler tech come in, he quickly identified the problems ran a gas analyzer, called Bosch service rep's to help in dialling in the boiler air fuel ratios. Now with air fuel ratios correct, and damaged parts replaced the boiler runs correctly and more efficiently. In all fairness he was usually available to assist over the years when something went wrong. But I have found that fixes were half complete. His lack of availability to service his customer (me) led me to hire another tech which did not point out things he did wrong but things that were not done correctly.
