I don't even want to give one star. DO NOT use Bensa (his psudo company name), or Joe Soulier who is actually the sole "contractor". I wish I had seen all the bad reviews under Joe Soulier before we hired him. The company is also not in Woodstock. Joe worked high most of the time with his helper, who was just a buddy he got high with. He hired other people for the rest of the work. I was quoted $12,000 to do a bathroom reno that started in January 2020. We paid almost all up front and he didn't finish the job (our bad for not holding back 50%). The hot water on demand tank was hooked up improperly and didn't work. He took 6 weeks to finally tell me he didn't know how to fix it. I smelled weed often and finally confronted him. He apologized and said it would never happen again but I ended up firing him. I had to call an independent electrician (I highly recommend Alderock Electric) to come figure out why things weren't working. Joe was billed for that but he hasn't paid them. I told Joe this, and he said he would pay the electrician bill because he messed up, but has yet to do so and this was in the beginning of April. He has ignored numerous attempts to contact him from the electrician and myself. Alderock had to redo the electrical work, and further said his work was a fire hazard and illegal the way it was set up. At this point I'm just going to pay it and hope this saves someone else from a nightmare.

I recently hired Bensa Construction to do some renovations on my home that included a totally renovated kitchen and pantry area. The process went smoothly from the beginning. Joe (the owner) was great and gave us some terrific ideas. His pricing we felt, was reasonable for all that we requested. Joe knew we needed to get our house back in order as quickly as possible and kept things moving along. Even though the guys had to deal with some crappy weather, and lots of mud, they still kept the mess down to a minimum which we really appreciated. The work is all finished and my husband and I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend Bensa Construction to anyone looking for a reliable contractor.

Thanks to Joe and his team. I am so happy we chose Bensa Construction to build our deck last fall. Now with the spring arriving we are getting so excited to entertain. We didn't know that a deck could have so much style and look so good. The two levels they proposed made the best use of our space and the pergola structure on the top level added a bit of flair. DO NOT HIRE BENSA!!!! This company is a fraud! The owner Joe is nothing more than a crook. Do your homework on this guy. He will leave you with an incomplete project and disappear with your payments!!

Bensa Construction is a great company. Joe is one of the best people to work with. Very trustworthy and uses the highest quality material out there. We were very Impressed. No Shortcuts, always on time and very professional. The pricing was on par with our other quotes. We will use them again for sure. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I can from China and bought a home in Kitchener. Needed basement built and called this guy Joe. Very unprofessional. Didn't know anything about construction. Is this how people work in Canada?

Hired Bensa Construction and Joe S owner of the company to do some work. He took $10,000 as deposit and disappeared. I try to track him and then he did 30% work and ran away again. Now my work is undone and he has my deposit. My friend is a trustee and she did investigation. Joe and this company is Bankrupt, they have been bankrupt since 2016. He pick up my work and never disclosed that he is Bankrupt. I have no options left and major loss of money. Now, I am using a BBB approved contractor. I check and there is complaints about Joe. I will try to take court action but he is Bankrupt so i can't get my money. There is a government site, you pay small amount of money and find out more information. I did and shows Joe is bankrupt. I am loss for words as to why someone cheat an elderly person. Anyways it's only money, my bad experience is lesson for all not to use Joe S and Bensa Construction Group.

Bad experience. Joe is Bankrupt and didn't pay me. This guy owes many people money and is on watch list of Better Bureau. He tried to get me to join him. As a construction person he has no knowledge. Relies on others to complete work and uses us. If you a client run, if you a trade, this guy is a crook and will get you involved and bad business. Joe Soulier should be ashamed of himself.
