We just completed our first project with Family Home Improvements, in fact it was our first ever project hiring a contractor and we were nervous about the outcome. We heard many stories of bad experiences but we put our trust and faith in Mary and Mike's company. Now that it's finished we are so glad we did! Our bathroom was completed in 2 weeks and looks spectacular! Our home was left at the end of every day neat and tidy and the quality of work was impressive. Recently had my very old bathroom renovated and beside the wait to get it remodeled I'm very happy with the way it turned out. I was very surprised how much care was given daily in regards to clean up and mess. It was done in a timely and professional manner. When there was an issue after the fact, it was addressed and corrected immediately which was amazing. Love my new bathroom!

We recently had our main bath renovated by FHI and we are so pleased! From design to finish it has been a pleasure to have Mike, Mary and the FHI team walk us through the process. We love the fact that we were able to pick out all that was needed for the bathroom right in their showroom. Excellent workmanship and service! We would not hesitate to recommend them at all.

On the phone I was told that the inspector or assessor would examine my house for repairs and give a rough estimate right away and then send a detailed estimate later. The manager was more interested in collecting $45 for the visit than examining the place. He had no ideas of his own and said he cannot estimate for at least 2 weeks. They cannot do the paint job. The doors would be hard yo find and replace. Totally out of it. Waste of money and time.

Mike and Mary's team were extremely skilled, organized, prompt friendly and clean. They always kept me completely in the loop with what was happening each day. We had 2 projects. An en-suite bathroom project last fall and a complete main floor renovation in the spring. The whole process was made easy for us, right from our layout decisions down to our color schemes. There were absolutely no surprises in pricing. Everything was detailed. Our family is 100% happy with the results. Kevin and his team were top notch amazing people. If we ever decided to make any changes downstairs they would absolutely be our first and only call. Thank you for making what we thought would be a stressful process very enjoyable.

I would not recommend this company for renovations. I used their service for a major renovation in 2010 utilizing an Energy Audit rebate at the time. Ive constantly had mould in one of my closets only to find out that the outside wall was never insulated or vapour barrier used, which was supposed to be done!!!

Bathroom We would like to thank the entire Family Home Improvement staff for all of the work and assistance that they provided from the first day in early October 2020 when we walked into the office/showroom until last week when the bathroom restoration work was pretty much completed. We always felt very comfortable when speaking to the ladies in the office! We were impressed in the way that Mike explained all of the details in the work proposal and how he and/or Mary visited our home each day that work was taking place to ensure that "all was well". We were very much impressed with the two workers that did the physical restoration work in our bathroom! Jordan and Garrett are excellent workers who always had the time to answer any of our questions (we had many) and their workmanship is the best that we have ever seen. Great people and great to work with! The pandemic presented a number of challenges in delivery of materials and coordination of labour to maintain a safe work environment. We were kept well informed and the work progressed smoothly and steadily. We love our new bathroom.

Having owned many homes and many contractors this was my worst experience. I hear their ads all the time and how great they are. Back in the early 2000s I hired them for remodeling around a gas insert in South Windsor. I layed out drawing with pvc tubing behind drywall with extra support for new 50in screen TV. They followed nothing, add on top of it they pinched my new 10ft monster cable which was alot back then. Owner threated my credit even showing him the contract we agreed on with drawing! I was so busy back then I didn't want to go to court. I hear their ads but buyer beware. I will never will deal with them, worst experience even after I paid them much higher then other quotes. Was along time ago but advertisement brings back disgusting memories.

The actual renovations were done by skilled professionals who attended to detail. The job was completed in a timely manner.
