We had Elite out several times between August and December 2018 to fix the same leak around our chimney, costing me over $1,000. With winter setting in, and being told there was nothing more that they could do, we gave up and I moved my bedroom downstairs , as the leaking roof had produced mold in the ceiling and walls. Finally, we decided to have the chimney removed, and the company doing the work said it was very poorly done, and they found ice and water under the flashing and membrane that Elite had installed. Had Elite been honest with us and told us originally that the chimney needed to be removed, it would have been a more professional approach.

Had many quotes and Elite was on another level. Had a few companies offer lower prices for cash deals (shady) etc but Elite was by far the most professional of the bunch. Great work!! I went to four companies to get someone to fix the leak in our attic that we assumed was the flashing around the chimney. All four showed up to take a look and charge for that visit, only one gave us a quote and showed up to do the work. Matt was great to deal with. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to do the work, but Dan came out and did an amazing job!! Hard working, friendly and made sure that everything was clean and tidy when he left!! Matt and his team came to our house after I noticed our soffit leaking and he came by the next day and pointed out some issues and quickly fixed the caulking at the end of our gutter near the chimney. I still noticed leaks a few days later late at night and not even expecting a response, Matt conversed with me late and answered questions about next steps and was able to come out immediately the following day. He fixed and pulled up our shingles and pointed out issues previous roofers had done, clearly and concisely. They re did all metal around our chimney, replaced the plywood sub roof since it was rotten, sprayed for mold and documented the whole procedure and explained everything. Can’t recommend them enough, and I know who I will be calling next for when I need to replace our roof. Thank you!

Dan & his team repaired our roof turbine/"whirlybird" with professionalism and in a timely manner. His quote was fair and thorough, ensuring we understood the potential for shingle repair during the turbine replacement. Amidst Covid-19 restrictions, the installers were well prepared when arriving at our home. They practiced social distancing while performing their work and during updates/conversations with both home owners. Other constructions companies in Windsor weren't available to assist us during this busy time, however Dan made it a priority to see that we weren't impacted by heavy July rains. I would not recommend Elite Roofing. We were charged $200 plus tax for a roof repair that Elite knew would not work. We asked to have a more experienced roofer come out and take a look at our roof after Elite admitted that the repair that was done would not work and we were told that they would not send someone else. We have tried since October 28th to resolve our issue with Elite and today, November 23rd, we were told by Dave that there was nothing he could do. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Again, I would not recommend Elite Roofing. We really feel that we have been cheated.

I purchased a new roof just over six years ago and decided to save a buck by hiring two so-called roofers from Kijiji. Early December winds took a 6x15 foot section of shingles flying across my yard. I had it covered in tarps until the spring. Elite roofing came highly recommended by my neighbor and I didn't regret it for a second. The owner came out and gave me a quote and an approximate time-frame. No nonsense games; he called and told me the date and a large crew showed up right on cue and the job was done within the day. The guys were amazing. They respected my property, moved items that could be potentially damaged and put them back once they were done and had cleaned up. I was impressed that they put tarps all around my property to catch debris as well, and even cleaned my neighbor's adjoining driveway which is separated by a fence. This company is top professional!

Seven years after installing a new roof, 2 signs of water damage were noticed on the interior ceilings of our dining room and spa room. Roof vents were directly above these two locations. Matthew quickly recognized missing caulking from the roof vent above the dining room and re-caulked all 4 sides. Moving on, he secured the metal plate of the fan vent back flush on the shingles and applied sealant under one shingle. All of these pictures were sent to my iPhone to fully explain and document these services. Promptly, an invoice was sent to me. Matthew clearly worked very knowledgeably and was most professional. I certainly hope these measures will alleviate continued water damage when the north winds blow off Lake St. Clair during periods of heavy rainfall.

House purchased March, 2006 Roof never leaked, shingles on the southwest side were curling so we decided to put a new roof on to be proactive before a problem was encountered September 9, 2016 old roof removed and new roof installed by Elite Roofing Thursday September 29, 2016 roof leaked into bedroom and garage. Elite Roofing would not take any responsibility for the interior damage to the bedroom and garage. Apparently, applying caulking to fascia that is on top of the shingles is not their responsibility.

The reception took my call imminently for roof leaking. The technician Matthew provided me with the earliest schedule in a few days. However, Matt called me at 10:30PM in Sunday evening as he got an opportunity in the next morning. Of Course I took it. When he was on my roof, he called me to provide he estimation, I could hear it was windy and from photos of the damage part, I can see it was raining too. I have a very long story but the bottom line is I was mistreated the price of my quote changed 3 times and the third time they called me the day before it was supposed to be completed to raise the price again. My roof is damaged and leaking they were aware of this. It is really a shame the there is no course of action for accountability on there part, now I have to go on another waiting list while the leak continues. I strongly recommend not using this company they tried to take advantage of my situation and that is morally wrong.

Horrible experience don’t ever use them! I had my flat roof replaced and only then did it start leaking! I contacted them and they blamed it on the siding. I had two other experts come out that said it was the flat roof that wasn’t installed properly. I called them again and they insisted it was the siding. They then sent me an invoice for $2500 for coming out to look at it. They told me I had to stop calling them or they would pursue me for this invoice. Check out the Better Business Bureau, there are a lot of complaints. I paid $14,000 for for my flat roof only to have it redone by another professional company.

Our names are Mr. & Mrs. Wilson and this is my first review ever and I wanted to warn everyone about this company. Our roof was replaced by Elite Roofing 2 ½ years ago and this past February we suffered a large leak over our bay widow.( I'm sure there will be others as there are large gaps between the front porch and the roof). The cause is directly related to the plywood not being installed to the outer fascia board. This outer board is sitting higher than the inner board where the plywood sits, creating a gap between drip edge and plywood. This was not communicated to us at the time otherwise it would have been fixed. This gap allows for any water to back flow into the home. Elite did not replace all plywood per the contract and also in one section of the roof that ice and water shielding is missing. We asked Elite to come to our home to review the issues face to face and have provided these facts backed up by pictures showing our issues. They say they are 100% confident in the work completed so I challenge them to come and prove it. Meet me at my home and lets review the pictures that I have sent. Until then I would not recommend using this company.

I'll keep my review very "matter of fact" and leave any emotional talk out of it. I reached out to Dan about a month ago or so to get a quote on our house and garage roofs. He came for a visit a few days later and we discussed options together. Friendly and knowledgeable. We reviewed the quote and compared it to 4 other quotes we'd received and overall his was the best (we considered the cost, product being used, how many years in business, how easy it was to reach them/hear back, colors offered in the product). We called Dan back the same day and told him we were good to proceed. He returned the following day and brought us an updated quote (we'd asked for 2 changes on the original quote). He told us it'd be 2-3 weeks before he could get it done which was fine. Called us I believe a week later to schedule things for the following week. Tuesday was bin delivery. Wednesday/Thursday was the work. Both took place exactly as told. Team of three guys showed up on Wednesday and got to work. We had a few questions about how things we progressing/what they were doing and they answered each question. Good cleanup job. We had some leakage in our garage roof and I'd brought it up to Dan. The guys cut portions of the plywood out and put new ones to fix it but missed a spot of roughly 2 feet by 3 feet when doing it (which we only noticed after the work was done and they'd left). We called Dan up and he was surprised but assured us that they'd be back to make it right. The same day, guys came back, fixed it. Bin was picked up. No fussing, no fighting. Work well done. Conclusion: I've had a few bad experiences in the past with companies who promise you the world but the moment they receive the check they disappear. I was a little cautious going into this as this is the first time I have a roof redone so wasn't exactly sure what to expect. Dan made it all real simple. Very fair and good to deal with. Hopefully I don't have to deal with him for a good 20 years (lol) but will certainly give him a call when I do need anything for my roof, this house or another. Thanks for the good works guys. I'll certainly recommend your work to others.
