I was able to secure an appointment with a technician who was familiar with my home from a prior visit, that afternoon. He came on time, was very professional with social distancing protocols and kept me in the loop on his diagnostics and repair options. The problem was fixed two hours later. I went through an entire kitchen renovation and they did all the new piping and plumbing installation in my kitchen. Called Pioneer Plumbing at 9 am in the morning and they were able to schedule a technician to come in at noon, so great response time. The technician, Mike, showed up right on time and got to work. We had a blocked kitchen sink and needed the shower cartridge changed. He worked on the cartridge for 45 min, but it just wouldn't come out (due to the poor initial instillation during the time of construction), but Mike was considerate of the time and moved on to the blocked kitchen sink, which he solved right away. He also took a look at how to install a garburator, gave us an honest estimate and options on how to go forward. Everything looked great when Mike left and we appreciate his being considerate of the time throughout. Very professional. Five stars.

VERY impressed with everything about Pioneer Plumbing. Everyone we interacted with from our first quote request was responsive, friendly, and extremely professional. The plumber himself, Daniel, was great. He installed two sinks and two faucets as part of our kitchen reno, and set up our garburator as well. The sink unfortunately was missing the proper installation parts, and Daniel managed to source the right parts within minutes and was creative in setting up a system that was safe and attractive while still staying economical. Highly recommended!

We worked with Pioneer during our kitchen renovation. There were a lot of moving pieces throughout the project, and it helped that Pioneer was very accurate and on time with their estimates for arrival, job length, costs etc. Teryl went above and beyond by helping me coordinate for the project, including texting with me to look at photos of a piece of our garbage disposal that was broken. This attention to detail and service ensured when Ryan came out to do the job he knew what spare parts to bring. We had to disconnect our existing gas cooktop and sink / faucet, and reinstall all new a few days later, so we ended up working with two team members, Shareef and Ryan. Both of them were very professional, communicated well throughout and did a great job! I highly recommend working with the team at Pioneer, it really felt like they cared and they did excellent work.

I contacted Pionneer to replace my old hot water tank. On the second day manager Jay came for a free assessment, he followed up, scheduled installation service without waiting days. The technician Shareef arrived early in the morning with everything for the installation. I have been a loyal customer of Pioneer Plumbing for many years and I can fully recommend their services. This time, I would like to mention the excellent work that Jay, one of the managers, exceptionally did for me himself in order to provide a creative solution to a tricky problem. I wanted to replace the screwed in access panel to the general water shut-off in my suite with a door panel for easier access. However, no suitable door panel of the right size could be found. Jay came up instead with the idea to install magnets inside the opening to hold the existing metal panel in place. Together with a couple door knobs for easy opening, this has now proven to be a very good solution. Thanks again, Jay!

I contacted Pioneer Plumbing to unclog a shower drain at a condo in downtown. Booking was easy and service was booked for the next morning. Mike from Pioneer Plumbing showed up on time the next morning and in less than half hour he had the issue resolved. I had an anti-backflow valve installed in my laundry drain pipe. While your technician (Shareef) was a really nice guy, he left the site upon the initial inspection of the pipe saying he has to pick up a right part(s) from his car. Then within 10 minutes, he called me saying he doesn't seem to have the right ones and has to go somewhere (← I didn't get the place's name exactly) to get them, and did not came back another 20 minutes (i.e., almost exactly 30 minutes absence). When he finished the work and confirmed the final invoice amount with me, I asked if I still have to pay for the time when he was absent. He insisted I should so I paid for the amount in full, not feeling like arguing any further. However, I wish he had shown up with the right parts in the first place because 1) To my understanding, your technicians are supposed to prepare required tools/parts beforehand, and 2) The work doesn't seem to be uncommon one and you have provided the same service in multiple suites in our complex in the past (according to our concierge and Shareef). Other than that, Shareef was good and I have not seen any backflow so far. And Meygan, your customer service rep, was really nice, too. Thank you again for your services. Regards, Mariko

The team at Pioneer helped us get our boiler back up and running at the most difficult time if the year. Our boiler that provides hot water to our building of 30 suites went down on the rainstorm we had. I had called many plumbing companies, but nobody was able to help us out . Finally I called Jay at Pioneer as he had just completed a job for us a few weeks previously. Jay had one of his technicians come out in the late evening to get it running temporary. To add the problem, BC was now cut off from the rest of Canada due to the flooding of roads and highways. The part we required was in Alberta and it had to be flown in. Altogether the boiler was fitted with the new part 3 days later. I would like to thank the team at Pioneering Plumbing for all their quick, professional and hard work they provided. This review is long over due. A few years ago the plumbing and gas company I had always used shut their doors. I decided to try Pioneer for a job I was on and I haven't used anyone else since. They show up on time, answer all questions, give fair prices, and best of all do great quality work. Our hot water system had three failures at almost the same time: broken fan motor, stuck zone valve, and hundreds of leaking pin-holes in pipes between boiler and reservoir. Our Pioneer Plumbing technician, Jay, with assistant, Sharif, figured it all out in half a day with an entirely new piping system, a new zone valve and new fan motor. Everything now works like a charm.

A few days ago, I noticed water pooling on the patio out front. Soon, there was a big pool. I tried to call the city to get help shutting off the water to the house, but there wait time was estimated to be 45 minutes. A quick internet search showed people had positive experiences with Pioneer. My goodness. Ryan arrived within a half hour. He dug like crazy trying to find the city shut off valve. (The city was able to give us the approximate location, but it was still very hard to find.) Ryan rigged up a hose to a neighbour's house, so we had water for the night. He returned with Geordie early the next morning The two worked very hard, to expose the pipe, identify the source of the leak, and discuss my options. Jay gave me a clear quote for the two options. We chose to replace the whole pipe, which meant more digging . They had to dig up many plants in the garden, and did their best to dig in a way that protected the roots. To my amazement, they got the whole job done in a day. And Ryan wriggled in a miserable crawl space to replace aging valves inside the house. A friend was impressed and asked for Pioneer's contact info. I am very grateful to them.

Great experience with Pioneer. I called a competitor prior and they said they would get back to me throughout the week, but since we had a bit of an emergency, I didn't want to be at the mercy of a maybe (and our sink). Mike and his apprentice came a day after I called in and initially resolved a cracked pipe and our clogged garburator, but when we tried using it as well as our dishwasher, the problem seemed to have resurfaced/became worse. I called Pioneer again to schedule someone to come in, but Mike went out of his way to text me first thing in the morning to come over and resolve it without incurring another charge to us. We ran the dishwasher with no issues, garburator is not leaking, and overall we are very happy with his work. I'm glad that out of something that was frustrating (the sink and pipes clogging to no fault on our own), Mike came and made it better over the course of two days, and now I have a contact for any issues in the future! Working with Jay of Pioneer Plumbing and Heating was the beginning of a great experience. We had used Pioneer several times before for annual maintenance but it was time to update and upgrade our 32 year old boiler and "getting old" hot water heater for an on demand Navien combination unit. Jay's team of Hayden, Sharif and Mike were involved in the change over with effectiveness and professionalism with Hayden leading the way. As fate would have it, there was a small glitch in the operation, but Hayden stuck with it until the glitch was resolved. I would recommend Pioneer Plumbing and Heating to anyone.
