We've use Bob Pietz a few times now. Rob has serviced our gas fireplace in the past, and more recently came out to inspect/connect a new natural gas bbq. We've also had Dustin do annual cleaning on the fireplace. I cannot say enough about how great they are. We had our ac unit installed last year and just recently a tankless water heater. Both times the service was quick and courteous. But the two things i absolutely love about this company is they are a small family run business built from the ground up and i love supporting local and the second and most important is they are HONEST. If you dont need it they will tell u. If your old unit can be repaired they will let u know they are not out to scam ppl into doing major big jobs. They even found our 13 year old AC unit which was installed by the builder was blocking two of 3 vent openings, he showed us! The vents are no longer blocked, and the house cools so much better now. Wonderful experience, hands down! Rob, Dustin, and Josh were nothing but professional, and honest. Recently had Rob come by to install a new gas range, as well as a new gas dryer. (Previous owner had the electric version of both these appliances) Rob showed up with a smile on his face, pleasant as can be! He took one look at the hook up for the gas range in the kitchen and stated that it was older than I am and insisted it would be safest to replace it. I really appreciated this and it made me feel taken care of! There was an issue with a part for the dryer so Dustin and Josh came back to vent the dryer a few days later (there was no rush since the house is under reno anyways) they were very pleasant to deal with and there were no surprises with cost! Each time they stayed to make sure we understood the gas shut offs and how they work, as well as answered any questions we had! Undergoing our entire renovation process, we've had many strangers in our home for various jobs. Some we will definitely not be calling back, and not be recommending. Having these people in our house was like having family. They were wonderful, extremely down to earth and honest. I can assure you we will be keeping Bob Pietz HVAC on reserve for all future HVAC jobs and I will be recommending them to all who ask. You can not go wrong with this business! I recently (Monday, Aug 23rd) had a hot water tank installed by Bob Pietz Heating and Air Conditioning. I spoke with Rob the previous Friday explaining that I had an old tank (21+ years old) that was leaking and needed replacing. He quoted me a price for the install, which included removing the old tank and bringing and installing the new tank. He explained the new tank I would be getting and its warranty. On Monday afternoon 2 young gentlemen (Dustin and Josh) showed up for the job. They were professional and courteous. Within 2 ½ hours my old tank was gone, the new one installed and I had hot water again. They took their time to answer all my questions, never seeming bothered or rushed. They were neat and tidy and did a good job cleaning up the area. I paid them the amount that was agreed upon with Rob (no surprises!). Bob Pietz cleaned up some unnecessarily complicated gas piping at my daughter's house. All the gas appliances are now fed from a new manifold with quarter turn ball valve shutoffs. While removing the redundant piping, they found and fixed a gas leak. They left a much cleaner, neater and safer gas supply.

Our old furnace finally quit last weekend and one call to Rob had him out measuring for the ducting needed to connect the new furnace up. Friday was the most convenient day for us to have the new furnace put in, so Friday it was. Dustin and Josh arrived in the morning and after showing them where everytjong was, they started taking apart the old monster in the basement. It was big and it was heavy but before I knew it they had it outside and were getting ready to put in the new one. By five that afternoon, we had wonderful heat, and for a furnace half the size of our old one, the whole house was warm within an hour. Dustin and Josh were great. They were both very professional at all times. They kept us informed of everything they were doing and why. And answered every question I had, no matter how silly or dumb sounding it may have been. They also cleaned up every scrap and took it all with them, including all parts of the old furnace. Thank you for a job well done boys. I like dealing with Pietz Heating & Air because it's a local family run business and it shows. They treat their customers like family too. Always there to help, never pushy, and very reasonably priced. I would recommend Rob and his crew, Dustin and Josh, anytime. Highly disappointed. Called Bob out to fix my furnace last week. He came, then randomly left my home without notice or conversation. When I called him to inquire he said he had another service to attend and thus why he left quickly (without warning or conversation). He never fixed my furnace prior to leaving, he explained that he was not sure how to fix it and was going to ask his colleague who is more familiar with our furnace brand. I waited to hear back from him for one week. I then called back again (even though he said he would call me back) and left a message for him to call me to provide me more details about if he or his colleague could fix my furnace. I never received a response (waited 3 days). I will no longer be proceeding with this company as the poor response, unprofessionalism in communication skills, and lack of knowledge on how to fix furnaces has left me quite uncertain on this companies morals. I trusted the good reviews on this page, however I am hoping that people think twice before calling this company; very poor experience that I had.

My gas fireplace would not flame on. Pilot light was working. ROB pietz came over Saturday morning and decided first of all my fireplace needed a cleaning and inspection. Robs coworker Dustin came on Monday, and cleaned our furnace, water heater, and fireplace. Dustin was able to get our fireplace working and did an inspection from the electrical switch on the wall to the chimney cap. A very, very thorough inspection and cleaning. We have had all of our plumbing, gas fitting work done over the past 20 years by Pietz Heating and Plumbing. We purchased our furnace, hot water heater and pool heater from Pietz & Co. They have maintained all of our equipment including our air con conditioner over the past 20 years. We are extremely happy with their quality of workmanship, dependability (always on time for appointments); and most important is their honesty and integrity in All of our business transactions. We contacted Bob Pietz in regards to a new AC and possibly new furnace due to its age, it being oversized and a few minor issues with the collector box. We did the leg work and got 5 quotes from various well known companies. Mike came by and gave us his honest opinion about our furnace and did some measurements for the new AC. I was straight up with Mike and told him if I didnt like his numbers I would be going elsewhere. He was not at all pushy with my decision. They were booked up of course because of the season but despite that were able to accommodate me on my last day of vacation (LIFESAVERS!!!! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!). My water heater was very old and stopped working, I called this company as they had been recommended by a few friends. Dustin came by within the hour to check my equipment out and got the water heater working instantly. I inquired about replacing it with a newer model as it was very old and small and Dustin was so upfront and honest in letting me know that it still likely had a few more years of life left in it, but that he would be happy to replace it if I decided that was what I wanted. After some thought, I did decide that I wanted it replaced with a newer model and I decided that I wanted a larger tank as my old one was very small and didn’t hold a lot of water. The next day Dustin came by and installed the new one. I cannot recommend Bob Pietz Heating & Air Conditioning enough! Dustin was professional, knowledgeable, and took his time to explain everything to me. I have a small home and I was worried about my walls getting damaged, but he was so clean and careful in removing the old and installing the new. I’m so impressed by how Dustin fit such a big unit in such a small area without a scratch. All in all, the company was prompt, professional, and I will be recommending them to anyone who needs this type of service!

Dustin was able to respond to a crisis situation by replacing our burst water heater. He was very courteous and friendly, worked very efficiently and cleaned up after himself. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that asked.

I contacted Bob Pietz along with a few others for quotes to add A/C to our home. We previously had a water heater replaced by them and had been satisfied with the work. Although their quote was not the least expensive nor most expensive, we weighed our specific needs and did our research about the products and felt it was a good fit for us. They called to schedule the install about 2 weeks after I notified them we wanted to move forward. Timing had a lot to do with the extremely wet weather. They arrived when they said they would and Rob and Dustin discussed their plan, then executed. They were pleasant and very professional. We are very happy with our decision!

Dont waste your time. Called a month ago, no answer so I sent an email to which got no reply. Called a month later, early last week and spoke to someone and was told they would call me back the following week to set up appointment (why it couldn't be set up when I called I dont know) and never recieved a call the following week. Now the weather is getting cool and I'll be going elsewhere. Great business...
