This guy really has barely any idea what he's doing. I've watched him slope the concrete towards the house, and pour pads 18inches thick because he doesn't know any better. a proper pad should be 4-5inches.. 6 inches for Driveways is sufficient. he poured so high on one job, that he cut the person's Wooden fence door without consulting with the customer first, and also took out the archway because you would have hit your head going thru, because he refused to lower his heights. Needless to say.. you can find another company to do your pour properly that you don't need to worry about falling off the edge. The ONLY THING HES OK AT IS POURING HUMUNGOUS STEPS.. which makes sense because they are suppose to be thick. 3 separate jobs I've been on with this guy. he leaves garbage all over the place, And brings his dog to work which he has even left in the truck for 4hrs with the windows up. The dog almost died which he thought was funny. I had purposely left my window down which when I stepped out he put up without me knowing. He uses a product to paint the outside of the Thick pad he's poured, which in my opinion looks like garbage and eventually will deteriorate way before the concrete. He has to hire other finishers to come and finish his work... has No employees working for him because he treats them horribly.. and if he does .. they're new and wont last long. His comments are very inappropriate and you will see that just talking to him. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this guy. You can find a much cheaper better quality place. One that doesn't need to brush a concrete adhesive on the sides after hes done because it wasn't done properly. Not to mention all the EXTRA UNNEEDED CONCRETE.. Hes charging you for and then some.

Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism when making arrangements with Heinz the owner. He was a no show one day and no phone call to say he was not coming and the next appointment he did not bother to call to say he would be late. It was 45 minutes after the time of meeting that I had to call and find out where he is and he was postponing the meeting until another 45 minutes later. I promptly cancelled any more dealings with him. Perhaps a secretary would help him with appointments in the future.

Our concrete work heaved over an inch and has some discolouration, pitting and chipping. The concrete seemed good initially but not great in the 3-4 year term. This is not a fake review, I can provide an address.

Used them to replace an old 1960's concrete floor in a garage. They did what they said they were going to do, job looks great!! Easy to work with, showed up on time, professional job, would definitely recommend!!

I had my front porch, landing and steps done by Project X Construction in October 2020. They tore out the old porch, landing and two sets of steps then poured and finished new ones. The job was completed in the time given and the site cleaned up. The team was friendly and respectful at all times. The finished project is functional (steps are the correct height now) and looks fabulous! I would recommend this company and would not hesitate to employ them again.

Heinz and his crew replaced our back patio and side steps in 2018, and our front porch in 2019. The concrete work looks great, and both jobs were completed in less than a week. He went into a lot of detail during consultations and was open to suggestions, though he also didn't hesitate to let us know if we were suggesting something that didn't make sense. He seems very knowledgeable, is good at communicating throughout the construction process, and I haven't had any issues dealing with him over the past 2 years. I would definitely recommend Project X Construction for concrete Work!

Heinz built an entry way into our basement a few years ago. The job started in early spring and the weather wasn’t cooperating with rain however Heinz came thru with a great job. The stairs are well built with plenty of width and depth on each step. The stairs are very comfortable for my elderly in-laws. I would definitely use Heinz for any other concrete work again.

In fall 2018, we hired Heinz to replace the majority of our walkout basement (a wall was caving in and the stairs were cracked). Heinz and his team did a *fantastic* job. Everyone was very professional and we were really impressed with the result! Heinz had mentioned that we could get a larger drain put in if we wanted. We decided to do that because of the increasing number of stories we’ve heard about flooding/water damage due to climate change. Thank you to Heinz and his team for the great work!!!

Hired him at the last minute late last year when my other guy totally flaked out on me and left a big mess. Heinz and his crew not only did an excellent job, but did it in a very timely manner. I have a fairly large driveway, a sidwalk down the side of the house and some stairs going down into the back yard. He even recommeded that I go an look at a driveway that was quite similar to what he was doing for me. I personally saw the excellent quality of work that he performed. Not only did they perform the work in an efficient manner, but they cleaned up all the worksite after they had finished. Even though it was late in the season, he did not rush the job and kept to his usuall high standards. I would highly recommend Heinz for any concrete work.

Heinz Wille came out to give a quote on installing an entry door for a basement duplex. Had no idea how to cut the door, and seemed completely lost despite having talked on the phone describing the entire project. Asked for engineering drawings because "I have no idea what kind of plumbing or other important stuff is in there". Ummm....?? We agreed (or at least I decided) he wasn't the one to do the door. I decided what the heck, ask hi. To just dig the hole and put in the steps. Had to send him the drawings/requirements from the city as he didn't know what is needed. Um...? He was at the house, but still asked the following: Heinz: We plan on digging a hole 3 feet bigger in every direction in order to do the work. How are we for access? Me: You cant dig three feet into the foundation. The property line is 1.2 meters from the house. There is that much room to from the property line to the house next door. Did you take a look at the side of the house? Heinz: Find someone else, your too smart! Me: that seems to be true here. I don't believe he has any clue what he is doing and wouldn't hire him to install fence posts!

Project X did a great job on our driveway - a difficult situation due to limitations of the lot and steep drop off on the side. They created an ample 2 car cement driveway from a terribly eroded paved driveway, with added stair access to lower portion of our lot and consideration for drainage. A coloured sidewalk added interest to the front of our house. We are very happy with the professional work force, attention to detail, constant communication and a great finished product. Would recommend!
