We decided to get a swim spa this summer so we required an adjustment to an existing chain link, and also needed to put in a wooden fence between us and our neighbour. We reached out to several fencing companies for quotes. Jay Fencing was by far the most responsive. Natalie was extremely helpful, and had many suggestions to help navigate the city bylaw and our not too pleased neighbour. I requested a couple of quotes for various options and they were happy to send, and did so quickly. They arranged a site visit in good time, and I was also able to book them in to fit our schedule. I contacted Jay Fencing originally in April 2020 to talk about constructing a deck and a partial fence in our backyard. They immediately scheduled a time for me to meet with a sales person to review the work I needed done and completed estimates. The sales person was prompt in providing the estimates to me by e-mail. At the time, I was interested in seeing quotes from other contractors and I ended up receiving a quote that was a bit more competitive and the other contractor told me he could start a bit earlier than Jay Fencing had indicated. I decided to proceed with the other contract but after several delays, poor communication, not showing up on days we had agreed to meet, etc. I contacted Jay Fencing again on August 12th (Thursday) and asked them to refresh their quotes for me as the other contractor hadn't worked out. I had updated quotes by the following Tuesday. They started the work almost immediately (August 23rd) and by the following week, I had a complete deck! I was so impressed with how fast their crew worked. They were all very kind and professional. They worked diligently all day long. My sales contact communicated with me throughout the process so I always knew when to expect them and they always showed up as planned. My husband and I enjoyed our deck for the very first time before the end of August. I can't express how thrilled I was that Jay Fencing pulled it off so quickly. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a contractor that will be consistent, honest, and follow-through on what they promise. I also live at the Janefield sifton complex as someone else had reviewed recently. How is it possible to have 5 different rows of fences in completely different states of disrepair? Why do some customers have to wait twice as long for a gate when all of us had our fences completely removed at the same time? It’s as if you don’t understand that you are disrupting people’s lives, especially with some of the poor customer service I’ve seen attached to other google reviews. While I realize that we didn’t specifically pay you, we would still be potential customers for the future and it’s sad to think that there are dozens of families in these complexes, who will mostly eventually move and then need their own fences, that you can disturb (and potentially flood) for weeks! You slow Your customer service ain’t great The fence looks good so 2 stars for the wood you chose

We contacted Jay's fencing to replace our fence in 2020 with white vinyl. John was awesome, he came out to the property, quoted us, and everything was done on time and on budget as discussed. A year later, the fence still looks incredible and all of the neighbours compliment us on it. This year, we loved Jay's so much that we had them return to replace our 400sqft wood deck. John brought out samples from different companies and talked with us about each of the products, as we have a wet yard and we didn't want to go with wood again. We ended up selecting one of their higher end PVC materials by Wolf Serenity in Onyx colour (dark grey) with white trim. Once again, the crew came out on time and were extremely friendly. John also had them fix a bit of concrete damage from the prior year's fence install at no charge which we were appreciative of. I would not hesitate to do business again with this company. You get what you pay for and these guys are top notch. Also, want to add that the office customer service individual Sarah is super awesome, she was really fun to talk to and made sure to respond to my inquiries ASAP. Thanks so much team!

The fence quality was great and the work was done quickly over the span of two days. Unexpected problems (power line under the fence) meant they had to adjust the procedure which changed the budget, but we were clearly informed of the change before they started digging, instead of a surprise bill at the end of the day. The staff are very knowledgeable and the sales staff are a great help when figuring out what you want done with your property. We had an ornamental fence installed and it looks amazing. They know the by-laws and legitimately cared about ensuring we have a beautiful fence and that it was safe for our dog (Oakley). Even Oakley approves! There were a few delays but nothing surprising during this busy time of the year and they work all seven days of the week. Great team and results.

I had my picket fence replaced by the crew from Jay Fencing in September and they did an amazing job. We cannot believe that 2 guys were capable of doing the job but the lead man on the job "Nacho" as they called him, was incredible and I swear could do the job with his eyes closed! We hired Jay Fencing to build a custom deck and board on batten fence. From the start they were the most responsive and professional of the companies we interacted with – from the estimator to the builders to the office staff. We felt comfortable discussing the project in detail and asking questions of Josh (who put the estimate together) and when the builders had questions about our preferences, they were great about asking rather than guessing. Sarah was very responsive to questions about billing (and was very friendly!). We had some knowledge going into this but felt much more informed after discussions with Jay’s employees. Communication was great overall and that’s important to us. While not the least expensive of our options, it’s clear you get what you pay for and cheaper is not always better. They were great about getting the jobs started and completed in a very reasonable period of time considering a backlog from COVID restrictions and it being the busy season. The deck was built skillfully and exactly as planned and clean-up of the job site was very well done (no nails, garbage etc.) They were respectful of our property and we appreciated that. We can (and already have) strongly recommend Jay for decks and fences because of their outstanding service and quality of work.

The fence looks great! Seems very solid and the people gate turned out well and is sturdy. Full disclosure, I did not deal with them directly as my neighbours dealt with them for the quote, timing and contract. But they were quick to take down the old fence and put up the new one. When my neighbour asked if I would consider going halves on the section between our property, I was initially hesitant, but when they said that they've contracted Jay Fencing, I had no hesitation and said yes. That is because I've seen there work in the area and was impressed, so I didn't worry that it was going to be a professional job and look great once they finished.

I had a fence put up 2 years ago and it was easily the best decision I've made. Jay fencing was quick to come out and give me a quote. Once I decided to go with them they were quick to give me a start date. It took a total of 3 days for my fence to be completed. On the day the fence was starting to be put up the team lead made sure to communicate with me. I asked for part of his plan to be changed and he was happy to do so. The entire team stayed in a huge down pour to complete my fence. Additional guys came to complete my fence in the rain. They did unfortunately miss one peice while working in the rain but when I contacted them the next day they quickly had someone come out in the next couple of days to finish it. Great customer service. Would definitely contact them again for future projects.

I couldn't be happier with the service and end result from Jay Fencing. I learned the hard way in the past in going with cheaper alternatives for wood fencing (kijiji guys) and did not want to make the same mistake twice. Last October, we contacted Dave at Jay Fencing to give us an estimate on installing a new fence for us. He listened to what we wanted, and gave us some good advice about product and design. We didn't want the work done until the spring of this year, and waiting was no problem for the company. Dave was a real pleasure to work with. The fence was completed at the end of June, as ordered, on time, and for the agreed-upon price. It looks fantastic!
