I had a small part replaced that is locally available for $ 250 which I was charged twice as much for on top of the service call. To be presented with a final bill for more than $ 700 for a 30 min job was a bit of a shock. Asking for justification I was responded to in a very impolite manner. A subsequent letter about my dissatisfaction to the management has been totally ignored. I will not ever deal with this outfit again and can only recommend to get a written work estimate before letting them touch your equipment.

I have had multiple experience with multiple tech from Dows and have been impressed every time. The first was my furnace stopped working and the owner came in on his lunch to fix it. He ended up not even charging me for it because it turned out to be a simple fix. I had them back for 2 other repairs and was impressed both other times. I finally decided to replace my furnace and Rob walked me through the Ontario rebate process saving me thousands of dollars. Their install looks good, works great and was exactly what they said they would do. They have earned my business and loyalty and there is no other choice as far as I am concerned.

I just had my first annual service performed on my furnace since moving into this house. I found the Dows service mechanic to be great! An equivalent contractor performed annual service in my previous house in another city but they omitted a lot of the work that Dows performed, for almost the same price. Before having the work done, I had asked my previous contractor if they cleaned the fan and the fan enclosure as part of their service but they said they don’t, and they didn’t. So I was surprised when the Dows mechanic pulled the fan out of the housing and proceeded to clean the unit, even each individual fan blade, and there must have been at least fifty of them. The mechanic also freely provided information on the operation and control of the unit and explained the reason for the maintenance steps he was performing. He also provided assistance and maintenance information on another heating control in the house that was not part of the contracted service, no charge. As an added bonus, the Dows mechanic was courteous, pleasant, organized and left the place probably cleaner than he found it. This is the second time I have had a Dows mechanic to my house; the first time was due to a false service call requiring only the turning on of a breaker in a breaker panel, and there was no charge. I was very pleased with my HVAC service contractor at my previous house but Dows has turned out to be even better. I would recommend Dows ClimateCare to anyone.

The Quote came in quickly and well below the competition. Rob actually measured things rather than assumed anything Corey & Tyler did the tear out and it went as planned. Helped me out! Called when my furnace stopped heating properly. With a baby in the house and it being -18*C outside I was concerned! They sent Rob the same day and he sorted me out. Turns out a heating coil had an accumulation of dust/dirt. He cleaned it up a bit and I was good to go. ~120$ for diagnostic and cleaning on a week day.

Dow's came to give us a quote for installation of a generator. Rob was very personable and got us our quote by the next day...the quote was excellent so we had them do the install...Tyler and Cory came to do the install, they were both very nice and informative..they did a great job and left a clean work area afterwards. It was a fantastic overall experience and I would recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC services...thank you guys

The technician arrived a few minutes early with the cleaning and combustion check taking about an hour. Homeowners always have concerns about being told they need something they don't really need. Well, my 15-year-old Tempstar would typically need an upgraded part at this stage, but he said the current version was working so well he wouldn't recommend changing it. I had occasion to call after-hours service and the technician called back within ten minutes. I was able to make the needed adjustment with his help over the phone. Based on my very pleasant experiences, I recommend Dow's without reservation.

The WORST service ever! Tech came in said I cant work on this its too old tagged the furnace and left. 6 weeks to get a quote that required me to follow up many many times, only to wait 5 months to receive the first bill to be told its past due. So disappointed with this company. We had an issue with our air in the summer and called for a service call. We had someone come in as their last call on a Friday. He took a look around and told up this late in the day there was nothing he could do, but would be back in the next week to service. No one came or called. We found out that was the owner (or one of) who had come, called them and asked for him to call us back. Nothing. Two months later we got a bill for over $100, we called back to question the charge, the receptionist was going to have him (the man who came to our home--- aka owner) call us. Again Nothing. This has been going on for over six months of us leaving messages asking for service and information and nothing. I will never call again and would never recommend them.

This company thinks they know everything, tried telling me something about an AC Unit, that there was no possible way the thermostat I had purchased would work due to the number of wires required. Called Bentley's and they gave me information over the phone and the unit worked fine with the thermostat. Dows wanted me to purchase a $160 thermostat from them. Over priced, and clearly don't have the customers best interest in mind.

My mother called their serviceman in for a repair. Showed up an hour later then expected. Told her that the blower motor on her furnace needed to be replaced then pressured her into having a sales person in for a new furnace. We got a second opinion and turns out it was only a capacitor. I then heard similar stories only to find out their techs are paid to get sales people in the door. Very Shady business. Stay away.

First time having Dows out to our house. We only just moved back to the area a year ago. AC wasn't running the way I thought it should and I panicked with the heat wave we're having. They came out at 9pm on a Friday night were here over an hour and extremely informative. Rates are far less than I expected. We'll definitely be using Dows for our furnace and AC maintenance.

We had a serious problem with our old water heater and called Haven. Derek, our sales rep came over that morning and Jenn, at the office, coordinated an install by noon the same day. Not only are they professional, they are friendly and do everything they can to make the customers experience an excellent one. Kenn, Jordan and Wyatt were fast, professional and clean. They were great to deal with and we are very pleased with the job they did. Bad tech $$$ They have a good phone service but the guy's I get to do my garage connection make a mistake and redo is job on the spot. The invoice I get was for the full time frame. I call back to cut my bill on time and nothing to do. I have to pay for the mistake of the tech. 5 feet, cupper line $389.85 Parts and labors. Next time I will ask an estimate before asking service like that. David

We had a new $5000 heat pump installed several years ago. As they were installing it, they were on the phone with the company troubleshooting constantly, which didn’t instill much confidence in us about their ability, but we trusted them. From they day it was installed, we had problems. Our monthly bills more than doubled and several techs came out reporting a strange noise. Dow defended the faulty unit and refused to do anything about it regardless of the fact that our bills kept rising. Within 6 years, the unit completely stopped working. When we called a repair person they reported all the coolant had leaked out of the unit, and it would be another $2000 to repair. I would never use or recommend this company. The techs were all very professional and helpful, but Dow did not stand behind his product or the quality of work. We are retired and living on a fixed income and this financial burden set us back significantly.
