Our hot water tank died on us over the weekend. We called Robert's late on a Saturday afternoon, they had the tank replaced by 12 pm the following day. Their staff were friendly and efficient.

They fixed my furnace and were very professional. They wore their masks. They were polite and informative. I have zero complaints on that, but now I don't have a summer fan. I use it quite a bit to redistribute the warm air rather than turn up the heat but they won't even return my calls!!! It's been 2 months since they fixed my furnace (which was done professionally and quickly) but no summer fan. Our property manager tried for a couple weeks and told me to try because no one was returning their call. I called on February 12 and 4 or 5 other times. I left voice messages It's February 26 and he called back but... Wow about 15 to 20 minutes after a poor review they finally phoned me back and said they didn't appreciate the bad review ..... Someone is suppose to come tomorrow and fix my problem. I will update after tomorrow. My biggest problem was the lack of communication. Someone could have said I'm sorry this happened I'm not sure what went on. We're real busy right now but I will look into it and get back to you as soon as I can, instead of fluffing me off. I know some people are without heat but I'm going to have a larger bill than normal because I had to turn up the thermostat instead of just redistributing the warm air. He was pretty upset with the bad review . I had it on speaker phone because my daughter was operating my cell while I was driving. That just goes to show he really does care what the internet says about the business.i don't think he should have demanded that I take my review down. He said were open at 9 and I'll send someone tomorrow......no actual time...I guess I get to wait all day. I'm also interested how nice or not nice they are going to be???? They guys were here, fixed it and were extremely friendly and kind. I'll get you back to 4 stars.

Have had two emergencies in recent years outside normal hours (sump pump and septic pump failures) and these guys have been on site within the hour both times. Very professional and friendly service. This is the outfit to call first. 10/10. ????????

Spoke to Roberts - they had someone out the next morning first thing and the problem was fixed! Super professional and responsive - I highly recommend giving them a call - I know I will from now on!

I hired them recently for a few simple jobs (unplugging clogged drainage pipes, fixing a leaky faucet). They unfortunately flooded my basement during these tasks and caused some serious damage to contents and property. When informed about the flooding, their response was, “Well, what do you want me to do?” I will never hire them again, and I would highly recommend people look elsewhere for a plumbing specialist.

They came to our house to install a new hot water heater. They have the contract from Enercare to replace heaters after 10 years. They did show up in a reasonable amount of time, two workers (and a third later), and it took over two hours to do the job. They replaced the hot air vent to the outside of the house. This appeared to be the difficult part of the job. It sounded like they were ramming the vent into the house. This is when the third person appeared. Approx. 3-5 days later, we experienced a loud and unsettling BOOM in our house. This loud noise brought us both running and wondering WTH had happened. We checked the exterior of our home, nothing was amiss. Inside there appeared to be nothing as well. Four days later I was collecting the garbage in downstairs washroom when I encountered water on the floor. I went to the furnace room immediately and noticed what appeared to be water around the hot water tank and along the baseboards. After inspecting our finished carpeted family room and finding LOTS of water we were upset. We contacted Robert's the next morning and they sent over the Heater installer. He stood on top of the water tank (gee, thanks buddY) and said he could see water between the floor joist. He recommended that we call Roberts in to check what may have happened. I told him we would call our own plumber to see what is causing the problem. They recommended that we call Roberts back and tell them to come and check. After calling Roberts back and leaving a message with answering service we had to wait till later in the afternoon to hear from Robert. His response was very rude.."Hey this is Robert, we are not responsible for damages and you are on your own", then he hung up!!! We are now going through insurance, and they are fairly certain that Roberts caused the damage and they have taken a whole lot of pictures....

The crew at Robert's Plumbing stood out amongst the rest and have exceeded my expectations. I've dealt with contractors in every trade over the past couple years and I've really noticed that professional service is hard to come by in Thunder Bay. Likely some of the best service I have received and best pricing. In the heat of the summer and COVID supply shortages they had my AC installed within 24 hours of quotation. Clean, detailed installation with a professional crew. I would highly recommend Robert's.

Roberts Plumbing was hired to replace Hot Water Tank and Furnace. First the Furnace was installed, and then later the hot water tank. Their employees did not complete the job fully during 2020. So I respectfully contacted the owner - who responded with words like I am swamped and will call you back. He did not do so, neither did his employee (Cindy) who was also abrupt and rude. When this happened a number of times, I was compelled to document - including via facsimile and email. This is 2022, and no satisfactory response nor compliance has been received from Roberts Plumbing. I continue to be very disappointed with the lack of courtesy, respect, professionalism, after-sales service. I sincerely hope they improve themselves, failing which they are not even worthy of a 'one-star' review

This is the worst company that I have ever had to deal with. I called them because my furnace was blowing cold air. They had to come out three times for the same issue and in the end did not fix the problem. I had to call a different company who finally figured out the issue. Then I received a bill in the mail for over $600.00 for a service that I didn't even receive. I went to the office and the owner was unbelievable. He would not do anything about the bill. I asked him if he would pay for a service that he did not receive. He just yelled at me the entire time. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS PERSON there is something seriously wrong with his head. I would have given no stars but I had to give at least one otherwise I couldn't have posted this.

Called and spoke to Robert late afternoon yesterday about a part for our furnace since it stopped working. We are four hours away from Thunder Bay. Robert delivered the parts personally to the shipping company and we got them by 9:30 today, installed them and we are up and running!! Living in a remote area, this service and caring is very appreciated! More businesses should operate as efficiently as Robert's Plumbing And Heating. Our sincere thanks to you Robert!!

This review actually covers 2 jobs they have done for us. We had such good service the first time, we contacted them the next time something cam up and were equally pleased the next time. In April 2017 our hot water tank suddenly went and started to leak. I phoned Robert's plumbing about our situtation, and we were setup with a new hot water tank that same day - fully functioning and for a reasonable price. The service was quick and responsive to our needs, professional and the job well done. We have had no issues since. They clearly have a good inventory on hand and are quick to try to ensure your needs (e.g. leaking water, lack of hot water) are addressed as quickly as they can get to them. This springour furnace went. The evenings were still dipping below zero at this time. When I called the company they were quick to come over that same day to look at the furnace, assess the damages, and set us up with portable heaters to keep us warm until they were able to install the new furnace. They resolved our issue of lack of heat immediately. Then, as soon as we decided on a furnace to get installed (and they were very knowledgeable and helpful with explaining our options to make a well informed decision), they were installing it early the next week. We were quickly set with a quiet and well working furnace, again for a reasonable price. We selected a central air conditioner at the same time, and I noticed how efficiently and effectively they managed their AC projects with their others. We didn't need to run it yet, so they focussed on getting installations of ours and others in. And when I called to get it commissioned and up and running ... noticing some hot muggy weather on the way ... they quickly stopped in as soon as they had a chance and had us sitting in cool comfort quickly. I highly recommend this this company to anyone with hot water, heating, and cooling needs. They are professional, timely, and great value. A great business to deal with from our experience.

Extremely terrible experience...unreliable and unprofessional. I personally will never do business with a company owner this arrogant ever again in my life. My appointment was scheduled for between 11 am and 12 pm and since I did not hear from the owner I called their office at 12:30 pm. The response was "I do not have a crystal ball and the tech will get there when he gets there." I asked them to cancel the appointment, but the tech showed up while I was preparing to leave. They did not fix the issue, spent 15 minutes at the job and billed us $266 for their 2 hour minimum. I took my issue to the owner in person, and he argued with me saying that he has been running a business since 1980 and he did not care to listen to my experience and expected me to pay regardless. A friend of mine witnessed the event and asked the owner if he thought it was okay to show up late for a job without a phone call or apology. The owner yelled at my friend, and my friend then asked the owner "Why are you yelling at me?". The owner aggressively told us both to leave. Very poor customer service! I will not be using them ever again.

I do not know if it's the worst company but I know their customer care is poor. When I was told a plumber would be here; he failed to show and no one contacted me. When I contacted them again several hours later I was dealt with rudely. Some of their plumbers can only be described as surly.
