Very pleased with the excellent customer service received from Joel Chisholm and his team at Algoma Custom Builders. Quality was his main consideration and he kept returning to this important principle time and again. We had been thinking about having some renovations done for several years and had put away a nest egg for this very purpose. At a minimum, we wanted a new kitchen, 2 new bathrooms and dining room. He met with us and went over our ideas. Right away, he gave us an explanation for why a particular type of flooring we wanted was 'just a rip-off' and suggested another product instead. Two days later, Joel came back with a plan, options and a budget. We were thrilled as the 'luxe' option cost far below what we thought we would have to pay, especially after receiving a quote from another builder for the same requirements. Joel gave us advice on the quality of several products, helping us to eliminate those that would not wear as long as we'd have hoped. He even gave us some great tips on paint colours to better compliment our renos. When we gave him approval to proceed, he had his team come in and do the preliminary preparation and removal work while we waited for materials to arrive. His crew was on time and unfailingly polite and quiet - very important as we both work from home. There was one hiccup when a bathroom fixture didn't arrive on time but it was very minor. He even called one evening to say it had arrived and could they install it the next day? When the rooms were finished, we had some money left over so we hired him to build us a new deck. Just had a fence and shed project done by Algoma Custom Builders. These guys did a fantastic job. Quality workmanship, very hard working employees who were all about fulfilling what the client wanted. Constantly keeping in contact to ensure everything was to the the clients expectations. Very very happy with the work that was done. Excellent and hard working employees showed up to the work site each and every day until project was complete and made sure yard and work site was cleaned up at the end of each work day. Highly recommend. Great job Guys!!!
