Dealing with John from Rockscapes was like a breath of fresh air. There isn't a single reason why I wouldn't recommend anybody to call him if they are looking for concrete work. Every time he said that he would be stopping by at a certain time he did. When he said that his crew would be calling and stopping by they did. Then when it came time to do the work the crew (including John) showed up, got the job done, cleaned up and were gone. Everybody was pleasant and most importantly they are truly skilled at their trade. When it was time to settle up with John the invoice was exactly what he quoted me right down to the penny. If you're looking to get concrete work done give John at Rockscapes an opportunity to bid your project. You're only cheating yourself if you don't!

An amazing experience, and even better result. Hard to express just how impressed we are with our new driveway from Rockspaces. After a lot of research, we had a concept in mind which we felt would create fantastic curb appeal for our house. From what I can see around our neighborhood, their product is standing up extremely well. You can tell because they inset a small brass logo somewhere on the jobs they do.

We've had our share of issues when hiring contractors to do work on our homes. We had a driveway done by another company at our last house and although the price was good the work was a disaster and we had no luck trying to get follow up. A few concerns and suggestions were discussed with John and received well. Multiple methods of payment were allowed, but John also allowed us to break it up over multiple days so that we could capitalize on earning points on our VISA while not exceeding our limit. John is very prompt at responding either by phone, email, or text making communication throughout the whole project a breeze. John Groves and the guys at Rockscapes did a fantastic job on my driveway - not just the final product but the process to get there too. I researched several companies, and consulted homebuilder friends for 'what they've heard' - Rockscapes came back at the top of the list. They provide all of the specifications of exactly what they will do and how they will do it, they kept me informed throughout on status (versus weather) and even sent pictures as they were completing it because I wasn't able to be home. Real quality, and the price was within the range of other 'not so reputable' companies. Highly recommended.

I am very happy with the quality of work and level of customer service John and his crew provided. We had them do an exposed aggregate driveway and sidewalk for us in August 2020. We were really impressed with the end result. Living in Saskatchewan, we know that the freeze thaw cycles are hard on concrete and some cracking is inevitable. After the spring thaw, we did have some damage at our downspout trough, so I thought I would contact John and see if they might repair it. To be honest, I wasn't expecting him to say yes because we had a bad experience with a different concrete contractor a few years ago and they wouldn't return my calls or emails. But I was very happy and pleasantly surprised when John quickly responded to my email and said they would repair our damage. Yesterday the area was repaired and it looks great. I would very much recommend Rock Scapes to anyone considering getting some concrete work done.

I recently had Rockscapes pour a new driveway and patio for me and I’m very happy with the results. When I requested a quote John came over and we went through what I had in mind to do. John is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the job and I found that very reassuring. Because I have a detached garage in close proximity to the house, proper drainage was a major concern to me. John pointed out a number of issues and explained how he would address them without me having to ask! That impressed me. He’s experienced and he knows what he’s doing. The quote package he provided was very detailed and included an installation guide that laid out all the steps that each of the different crews would be performing. Throughout the installation the Rockscapes crews were all very friendly, courteous and hard working. It was easy to tell these guys have been in the business a while, they were well organized and knew what they were doing. The finished product looks excellent. Got our driveway 2 years ago. John and his team always showed up when they said they would from estimate, forming and pouring. They also offered great advice to any questions we had at any stage of the process. 2 years later we had a unique concrete issue at our house and asked John for his thoughts on it. He returned the call promptly and was there the next day to assess the issue and come up with corrective actions. At the time their price was a little more than some of the other quotes we received, but their professionalism, knowlege, punctuality and accountability to their product, even 2 years later is worth every penny.

Wanted a stamped patio for our backyard and Rockscapes came out with great reviews, so gave them a call. John showed up when he said he would and we went over everything that the job required. I even added a front sidewalk replacement after the first quote, and was no problem! He sent a quote and thats what we paid! I want to preface this. Rockscapes tried to make the issues with my driveway less noticeable. I'm certain they did their best to make it right. Normally that's all you can ask. I wasn't going to post but I am looking to have more work done and I see the 5 star rating and I can't sit idle. People should know there are no guarantees. I received a stamped driveway. I was not then and am not now happy with it. I wasn't warned you'd see every stamp outline. (visible, harsh ridges, some over half inch) Also, where the stamp didn't fit they tried to fill it in with their fingers, literally. They tried to make it right, they came out, tried to chip down the stamp outlines and gave me some additional material for where it had already started to peel. That was nice. I think I even got a break on the price. Also nice. Those things are why the second star. Unfortunately, concrete is one of those things you need to get right the first time. The first year: The walkway has cracked through, the top has peeled off in a couple sections and no matter how well I clean it and seal it (which is often) it is covered in pops. It continues to degrade. (Go to homestead icecream, look at the stamped concrete at the bottom of their stairs, you get the idea, also rockscapes). I just felt an obligation to post. Every time I wash my driveway I am disappointed. I have looked at options, a bush hammer is the only one I can see and I'm not looking to put out another 15k. It holds up the cars, it'll do, just not what I expected when I signed up.
