We are building our first home with DHP and we are continually impressed with their knowledge, professionalism, and flexibility. The team has helped us to design a dream home while keeping in mind and respecting our budget. They have been helpful at selecting custom finishes and respond almost immediately to all of our requests. Despite the restrictions of COVID and difficulty accessing materials, our build is closing on time as projected. We have felt confident every step of the way with consistent updates, clear communication, and phenomenal responsiveness. We look forward to moving into our forever home and are grateful to DHP for making our dreams a reality.

My 13 year old home was not water proofed properly and a $5000 job is required to remove the siding on our hopper flower, clear out severe water damage and rot, re-seal and waterproof the front of the home. Water was going through the front of our upper level and running down the front of our home and dripping down the front door entrance, causing water damage and rust over our door frame through the entire front of the house. 13 years old... unbelievable.

We have had an unpleasant experience with DHP homes. In December we purchased a new home from DHP with a condition of selling our home. We were thrilled that they accepted our offer and prepared our home for sale. Unfortunately our 20 day condition of selling our home expired. A day later we received an offer on our house, they completed a home inspection and everything was falling into it place. We resubmitted our offer with no conditions to DHP and it was not accepted. DHP then decided to take the house off the market. We then waited until January when the DHP home was re-listed and submitted our offer again with no conditions. Since we felt like we were owed an explanation as to what happened, we thought it would be nice if DHP knew how much time and effort ourselves, our real estate agent and the potential buyers of our home went to to make this all possible. We sent DHP a letter with a clear explanation with our offer. We were originally told they would be reviewing offers after 5 days. A few hours later they changed their mind and said they would be reviewing offers the next day. The next day the real estate agent representing DHP said DHP had a “prior commitment” that day and they would now be reviewing offers the next day. We were not impressed at all at this point. They were not sticking to their word and seemed to keep putting off everything. It turned into a multiple offer situation and sadly we lost. We have worked so hard to purchase this home and are sad it didn’t work out. We hope in the future that builders recognize the time and effort put in by everyone. We absolutely loved this home and it would have been the perfect fit for our little family. Although the quality of the builds by DHP is great, their business culture is not. For this reason we would not recommend working with this builder.

Wow, they are very unprofessional. Strung me along for days as if they were going to sell me a lot when they had no intentions of doing so. They were going to make it into a model home the whole time, my realtor told me of their true intentions. You can't trust these builders, they got my hopes up and wasted my time. Unprofessional behaviour.

I am an Independent Contractor for DHP Homes. I would like to address the negative reviews that have only recently appeared. DHP Homes welcomes feedback and reviews from actual clients, whom have built with them. Unfortunately the negative feedback DHP has received is from people who where unsuccessful in securing a lot or who have never dealt with DHP at all. Firstly DHP do not offer assignments as they build home owner communities, assignment clauses are mainly used by investors and leads to high turnover in occupancy and home vacanies and absent landlords, they do this to ensure a community thrives putting it before profit. Secondly once DHP contracts are issued they are valid for a limited period of time, if they are not signed then unfortunately the price can change. A price quoted in May 2020 is no longer available in 2021 due to increases in prices DHP also have experienced. DHP Homes is a quality, energy star builder. I personally have never experienced a company with such integrity, quality and accountability as DHP homes and I am proud to be associated with their builds.

I could not be more pleased with my new home! The entire project was executed flawlessly. The DHP team listened to my requests, respected my opinions, and always did their best to implement any changes. I was so impressed with their work that I am in the process of building with them again. I can not say enough good things. A friendly, hard- working, reliable team. Keep up the great work, DHP!

They should have assignment clause, i was about to book a lot, I asked them just in case or in kinda emergency if I want to sell before closing, they didn't agreed, guy was super nice and cool, I loved the way he talk to me, but every builder give assignment clause but DHP dont,

These builders are not trustworthy whatsoever. They string you along and keep tacking on additional costs from what they originally tell you. They first give you a price which you agree to, they then try to change the price and terms of the contract on the last day you have to sign the contract. They do not care about their customers, it's all about how much money they can milk you for. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Stay away from them!

Very knowledgeable in their field. They were a great help getting us through our design process. Workmanship was second to none. I highly recommend DHP.
