Installers, Vincent & Steve, were completely professional, personable, respectful of us & our home. Despite a few challenges with 2.5 ft. thick concrete walls and rainy weather, the install was exceptionally clean & efficient. The units are great, very quiet (the outside unit is barely noticeable standing 6 ft. away) and nice to have proper heat (with the option for AC/Dehumidifier) in this 191 yr. old house! Of course the strange noise coming from my furnace in the middle of winter isn't a good sign, so I called Mr Furnace and they came out that night. Much to my delight I immediately recognized Claude (and he recognized me as well), from when our system was installed over 10 years ago plus the numerous regular maintenance visits he's attended to. He immediately recognized what the issue was and even though he said that I could possibly continue with the bearings on my part starting to fail he did mention that there's no telling when it would actually fail. Since I'm a believer in small problems becoming big problems we went ahead with the repair and had a nice chat throughout. Claude was friendly quick and at no time attempted to pressure me into the repair, I just like being warm. We've had one warranty issue prior to this and now that the furnace is just out of warranty I feel like I've gotten my money's worth, and Claude said that just by looking at it we've got many more years ahead of us with this furnace. I'm part of their plan where I pay monthly , receive two free service visits per year along with a free filter once a year, and get 20% off repairs.... so it's been all worth it in my eyes. Good job.

The downside is they are all different as to what they do and do not inspect and what they do and do not charge for. There seems to be no rhyme or reason so I have a hard time trusting that I am being charged for things fairly/correctly.

I noticed that my furnace started leaking whenever the AC was on, so I called Mr Furnace and they were extremely helpful, and sent someone to come check it out within a few hours. Robin was extremely polite and helpful and he fixed my problem quickly and efficiently. He was extremely professional the entire time. He also showed me how he fixed it, and explained everything very clearly to make sure that i understood (and I know nothing about furnaces, etc). I was very nervous about having someone in my home during the pandemic, but he wore a mask, gave me lots of room, and made me feel very safe during the entire process. I will definitely use this company again due to the excellent service I received today. Thank you again, Robin! Update: Had another leak in a different place on my furnace (very old furnace) not related to the first issue I had. I called Mr Furnace and had someone at my house within the next few hours. Tom and Brian arrived right at 9 a.m. on a Monday and by 5:30 I had a new furnace in place. I was so glad that I had scheduled a furnace check a few days earlier because the technician discovered cracked coils in my 18 year old furnace. They put down sheets to make sure my floors would not get dirty and worked meticulously to ensure that the new furnace was safely installed. They also made sure I felt comfortable taking care of this new furnace such as removing the filter each year and putting in a new one which was different from my old furnace where I had to wash the cells and aluminum screen filter. I felt comfortable asking questions... even the kinds of questions that I thought they might think were silly. They were very kind respectful patient when explaining all the changes and how to work the new thermostat. They even redirected the clear plastic water hose from the drain in the floor which was a nuisance. Their demeanour made me feel very comfortable overall... I wasn't afraid or embarrassed to ask any questions about the work being done. Several Mr. Furnace employees made me very happy: a kind lady that took my phone call, the original technician Jeremy that discovered the problem, the salesman Brian who explained all of my options very clearly and carefully and answered every one of my questions to my satisfaction and Tom and Brian who replaced the furnace ! At this time I am very happy and thankful! Great job!

When my family woke up, the house was cool. With snow in the forecast, I called Mr. Furnace. They booked me a same-day appointment and gave me notice when the technician would arrive so I could make sure I was home to let him in. The technician was professional, efficient and kind. He took the time to explain was was wrong, the repairs required and the price breakdown. Mr. Furnace even offers an inexpensive maintenance package to keep things running smooth. A/C went out this week, and they sent Claude to our place to check out. Glad they did because he discovered a refrigerant leak, thoroughly explained the issue, and after a second visit had it all fixed up with a replacement part. Claude was a stand-up, knowledgeable guy and not the least bit pushy - would definitely count on him for anymore HVAC issues (though regardless I hope those are few and far between lol).

Woke up this morning to a very very cold house. Checked the thermastat and only 64 degrees and it was set for 70. I could here the furnace on but only cold air coming through the vents. Called Mr. Furnace and Claude showed up at my door at 10 am today! Claude was so nice, explained everything he was doing as he repaired the furnace, checked and double checked everything and was so very very nice and personable! A part had to be ordered but I was told that it would arrive Monday or Tuesday and i hope that Claude can finish the repair for us. I can't say enough about the prompt kind service of Claude and Mr. Furnace!!

My parents had reached out to them, and arranged to get a new furnace and air conditioner. After speaking with them, I discovered they were about to pay $17,000 for a new furnace and air conditioner in their 1,000 Sq.ft house. Frankly, thus is absolutely outrageous. I had paid $4,000 ,for the same service in my 1,400 Sq.ft house. They promptly canceled the agreement. Update: I had called to discuss the matter at end per the direction. It was to their office line with different call prompts. I do not have the time to go through prompts and reps. Mr. Furnace did contact my parents to request the removal of this review. They also stated that all the details should be exposed. A HEPA filter was part of the 17k offered. Not sure of this is a some kind of additional unit, but it sounds like a filter to me. There has been no mention whether or not a humidifier was included in the package. The 4k I spent had included a humidifier. The brand for 17k was a keep rite from my understanding. I went with Goodman as per the installers suggestion. The keeprite included a 'lifetime' warranty vs the 10 year with Goodman (and many others) maybe this warranty was the additional 13k? I would strongly suggest shopping around to ensure you get a fair price for your equipment

We were fortunate to have Claude service our air conditioner and found a problem that couldn't be fixed that day. They didn't have the parts to fix my unit so Claude phoned in an order and put a rush on it. When the parts came in, Claude came in on his day off, Saturday, May 22. Was an all day job. our furnace motor gave up, as a result we had extremely high temperatures in the house. The issue was fixed within 3 days including the ordering of the motor which was not readily available. I have never had one bad experience with Mr. Furnace, and would not take my business anywhere else. Absolutely fantastic service from the prompt response to my request for service, the sales associate and finally Ryan and John's installation of my new furnace and AC unit. They gave a fair price, after a little negotiation in which they pulled the, "take it now or You won't get this price" tactic. We are in Our 60's and that bull won't work here. Surprisingly to the salesman We still bought from Mr. Furnace as they offered the Best Furnace and Best warranty. Yes, their price was the highest but considering the furnace and 10 year PARTS & LABOUR warranty they were ahead of the other furnace companies and with an awesome Lennox variable speed high efficiency furnace. Quite happy with the furnace so far. The installation was done quietly and efficiently but my only issues were, they left some items behind, I called TWICE to ask when they would pick them up, but nobody ever came to get them so We were left to dispose of it Ourselves. Also there was quite a mess in the back wall of the furnace room, in Our entertainment room along the wall and in the corner. They also put a few DEEP scratches in the wall next to the entrance to the furnace room that required spackling and a repaint. They got the job done of removing the old furnace and installing the new one in a day. Overall, a decent and efficient job.

Mr.Furnace went above and beyond my expectations with my problem. My furnace died in the middle of the night, 2 nights ago when I was at work. The service call came out and confirmed my furnace was toast. Then they showed what kind of a great company they are... they offered to loan us (free of charge I may add) space heaters to keep my home warm in the -4°C temperature until they could come work their magic. They completely replaced (installed and running) my furnace well under 24 hours from the time of order / purchase, with payment options that suited my fanancial needs. DO NOT WASTE MONEY WITH A MAINTENANCE CONTRACT. After having maintenance completed on a Monday, my elderly mother in law had no heat Tuesday. Mr Furnace returned only to quote her almost $1000 to replace the controller board that worked fine prior to their maintenance the day before. And this is not the first time she got a $1000 quote for parts after a maintenance service Mr Furnace completed. A complete system that Mr. Furnace installed in 2009.

Tech Steve can and help with the problem at the apt. Saturday nite he was very professsional and he knew what he was doing. Matthew came down on friday for a Scheduled apt for maintenance on the boiler he said there was a back draft coming from the 3 water tanks so he shut them off call to get some one out there to help him go onto the roof to check the chimney I told him to call me when he was finished because I went home and from the sounds of it it would take a while this was about10:30 am I went back to the apt at11:30 am only to find out that he had left. I asked the tenant that lives there his Matthew told her anything she said everything was fine and that they would be back in the morning to check the chimney so I assumed everything was ok. later I got a call saying that they had to reschedule the chimney until this thursday coming up . The next morning I got a call from the tenant to tell me she had no hot water. so I went down to check they was only one tank that was on I tried to turn the other two on and I thought they where on. she called me later and still no hot water so I called you again. after a few phone called they send out Steve. he was very very polite and professisonal and he knew exactly what he was doing he resolved the matter the same day very please with Steve. I'm very annoyed that the issue was not resolved on Friday the day of the maintenance since the issue was so severe that the tanks should have been off especially when Steve had resolved the issue on Saturday

They called to get a tech in 1 hr early because they had no one for my original appointment, so he gets here and I told him it was leaking in my furnace. The initial installation of 2 new furnaces and A/C units was initially disappointing and not the workmanship that we, as loyal customers, had come to expect from Mr. Furnace. There is however, a happy ending. One of the furnace unit’s white duct work was sloppily covered in dark glue, partially incorrectly installed and the second unit had minor glue application issues. The gravel surrounding the cement base for the A/C units was scattered in untidy fashion. The two man crew left quickly without installing new thermostats and did not clean up all of the dirt surrounding the indoor work areas. Our first message, to the salesman which included photos of the work performed on Thursday the date of installation, did not result in a promised return phone call from a Manager the next day. A second call the following Monday and conversation with Regina (wonderful and invaluable rep!) resulted in an almost immediate call from a Project Manager. Bryan T. an experienced Mr. Furnace technician, arrived early two days later at a mutually agreed upon day and spent one and a half days re-installing pipes to code, installing the required thermostats, cleaning up the gravel and in close contact with the company, making sure step by step as he progressed, that we were satisfied. Bryan is meticulous and values customer satisfaction as a reflection of his own workmanship and company reputation. He would be a great asset as a supervising mentor to student installers as we suspect one of ours was. Students are an invaluable and necessary component of any company and they would shine under his direction. Our situation as our salesman knew, is unusual in that we require two heating units in confined spaces. A great learning experience if properly supervised. Bryan in particular and Regina are responsible for our restored confidence and continued association with the company we had come to know in the past. While the unnecessary yet required repair to new units was unfortunate, we had the pleasure of working with Bryan T., the silver lining in our experience.

I purchased a furnace and AC system with Mr. Furnace and it was installed without any hiccups. A month into using the AC, it started making a LOUD noise. Mr. Furnace tech person checked it, knew exactly what the problem was, and ordered the part. But It's been 3 months and no part yet. I understand it depends on the manufacturer (waiting on Lennox part -- also: why was there a problem with a LENNOX AC one month in?? Whole other issue) but my annoyance is with Mr. Furnace not bothering to contact me to tell me it's not in yet. I've been the one to call several times, only to be told it's not in yet. An update or courtesy call would be nice. Otherwise, the decent thing to do, as promised when the system was sold to me, would be to replace the AC. Not sure I would recommend this company.

Had Mr. Furnace come out today to perform an inspection and cleaning of our gas fireplace. In addition Mr. Furnace attends twice a year to perform regular maintenance on our furnace and air conditioner which they installed a few years ago. We have a maintenance plan with Mr. Furnace. We expected to get a replacement filter, as this has always been part of the maintenance plan. The technician informed us that the replacement filter no longer is part of the plan. To the best of my recollection we were never advised to this change. It would have been nice to know, so that the technician would not be put on the spot.

Back in January 2021 and just before a cold front was moving in, my furnace stopped working. I noticed late in the evening that we had no heat. The next morning I called Mr. Furnace and they sent a technician out within an hour. Each time the office would call and let me know that the technicians were on the way which was very much appreciated. He noticed that the furnace was an older model and based on his assessment of fixing it; suggested that we get a quote to replace it. By noon that day we had a quote for a new heating and air conditioning installation and decided to go ahead with it. The technician left us multiple heaters to place throughout the house to keep warm until the installation could be done the next day. Vince and Jay showed up on time the next morning and worked tirelessly throughout the day to install the new furnace and air conditioner. They were very professional, courteous and efficient. They cleaned up after the job was completed and the finished installation was done proficiently and with much care. I would highly recommend Mr. Furnace. I appreciated the urgency of getting the job done before the temperature dropped, the phone calls to notify you they are on the way, the professionalism and care taken to complete the initial assessment and the installation and the thoroughness and honesty displayed when sitting down to choose the right furnace and air conditioner for our home. Secondly we know you only need change the old ignite of my fernac, the parts only cost around $50, even cheaper buying on line, but quess how much they charged? $400 something plus tax only for the parts. This is the first time I called Mr. Furnace Heating after my heating system broke down 5 days ago. The worst thing is that we couldn't light the fireplace. I called a well-known BIG company from the local district 5 days ago. They sent a technician to come and check and he did nothing but just said that the motor is dead and needs to be replaced. It only took 5 or so mins and I had to pay 150 bucks. After that our nightmare began. I called the well-known Big company again to order the motor and we were kept on hold for endless hours and was transferred again and again when we just wanted to check where the new motor was in the shipping process. No one could give the date or assure when the motor would arrive. I totally understand the shipping issues recently but still... Since the temperature will drop down to -17 tonight, I couldn't stand it any longer. So, I googled and found another company (Mr. Furnace) to see if they could come and help to at least light the fireplace. When I called Mr. Furnace and told the receptionist the problem I was having, she asked if I had another resource to keep me warm at the moment and I said no. I asked if she could possibly send a technician to come and fix the fireplace, then, she put me on hold and asked her manager to let us cut in line today since we have had no heat for 5 days. 1 hour later, a technician rang the bell and fixed the fireplace problem but he also checked the heating system and only had us pay the fireplace issue. He solved our problem and said it is the board's problem and not the motor's (like what the other company's technician said). He was so nice to check it for us for free and let us know what the real problem was. After that I called that well-known Big company again to let them know the real problem (board problem) but they still put me on hold. After that I called again to cancel my order, but they put me on hold for another hour... I highly recommend and appreciated their profession and consideration.

The furnace had a puddle under it, and water dribbling down the side. From YouTube, I learned that a dirty evaporator coil is sort of like wearing wool gloves outside in the summer. An easy fix. But, in spite of what YouTubers said, this is a job for professionals. Claude, from Mr. Furnace, knew exactly what to do. Unplug the drainage line and clean the coil. Unfortunately, only half of the coil, on this unit, is readily accessible. Undaunted, Claude, with a bit of force, did what was necessary to get the job done. And when everything was all vacuumed out, and running freely, he did more. He made sure the outdoor equipment of the A/C was running correctly. Now, our air conditioning is cool. And so is Claude. Thanks, Mr. Furnace.

I had the pleasure of working with Steve B with an issue related to my Furnace and Water Heater drainage point. Steve arrived within the window specified and I was always notified ahead of time of when he would be heading my way. So I had time to be ready if I was away from the house at the time. An example on why you always get multiple quotes or opinions: After paying the $150 service fee for a technician to take 3 minutes to tell me what the issue with my no longer functioning furnace on the coldest day of the year, it was “strongly recommended” that I not replace the part and rather spend 6-8000 on a brand new furnace. Giving no discussion on the broken part, I was immediately pressured into starting phone calls and new appointments to purchase and install a new furnace. I contact another smaller furnace company who explained the following: they would come out the same day to replace a $500 part that would extend the life of the furnace another 5-10 years. They clearly explained that this was a safe option and there was absolutely no reason to replace the entire furnace. I would do what it takes to keep my family comfortable and happy, but taking advantage of people to sell expensive products is uncalled for.

First we paid for duct cleaning which I was told would take 6 to 9 hrs. Then I was suppose to have someone out the following day to check the furnace of q new home being purchased. They changed the appointment feom October 28th to December 2nd. As you can see but the grit and dirt still left in the furnace this was in no way what I paid 762$ for. If you want these people to come out I'd look for a more qualified company. They should be embarrassed to call this a job well done. They told me the vents would cleaned right down to the silver as you can see that's not the case. I'm still waiting for someone to call me back about getting my money back. Stay tuned. Not to mention the 304$ my husband lost taking the day off to be there.

My repair rep Matt was phenomenal. He not only explained what he was doing every step of the way, he showed me what he was doing. My appointment was for furnace maintenance and a nest installation. He installed the nest and rewired my humidifier controls with no problems. The furnace is over twenty years old. When he checked the carbon monoxide levels on the furnace exhaust, he found they were “one small leak from family dying in the middle of the night” high. He voluntarily showed me the gauge to confirm. He offered me a good deal on a new furnace and got his work included in the price. The installation team came same day at at the earlier end of the window and are installing the furnace right now. Great company, everything has been transparent and the work has been phenomenal. The price has also been incredibly reasonable and although I ended up having to buy a new furnace, I was never given a “hard sell.” I am now a lifelong customer.

On December 19, 2021 we had heating issues in our rental home. The Landlord called Mr. Furnace and the issue was resolved. The service repair person, AJ, was courteous and very professional. He showed and explained all that was to be done before repairs were initiated. Within the hour he replaced a cracked flamed igniter and a flame sensor and had us running and warming up nicely. Further, Bryan expertly installed a new humidifier and new core of the air cleaner. Bryan is very polite, respectful, knowledgeable and punctual. Most of all, he is very thorough. Before I mention the issue I had, I would first like to recognize what I consider to be their biggest asset and the main reason Ideal with Mr. Furnace and that's their technician Claude. Claude is great - courteous, friendly, very knowledgeable and trustworthy and knows my system inside and out. I would never question his recommendations or suggestions. Now the not so good. As Gold Plan member with them for over 12 years, I have regular maintenance services which they reach out to me and we schedule. I have never had to call to schedule them as they would call me to set up my appointment. After not hearing from them as of yet for this season (I recognize it's Covid and things are a little different), I reached out to them. I was told they have NEVER made outcall appointments and that I am responisbile to contact them and that if that happened to me in the past then I was "lucky". I was also told that I prefer a December service. I have never had my system serviced in December, I always have it done around Oct to avoid any issue in the middle of winter. Again, I was told I was wrong. The way she spoke to me was terrible, and her information was so incorrect that I asked her if she was looking at the right customer and not confusing me with someone else! I didn't end up making an appointment that day, but instead starting looking at other providers as I was contemplating leaving. I do want to point out that this was their call centre and not one of their local people I've dealt with in the past. There is one customer service rep, Becky, who I hold in the same high regard as Claude, she is top notch and always great to deal with, but it seems they now use a call centre exclusively, which I believe is a big miss on their part. When I first signed up with them in 2008, I was impressed with the local small town "ma' and pa'" feel to their organization, I miss that. I hope Mr. Furnace takes this note heart and makes some needed changes to their customer service - it's sad to see this happening.

We signed a contract for a furnace + heat-pump system, to be installed “in one day”. Among the many surprises along the way to installation were timeframe (3 weeks, not 1 day), reduction in the size (BTU rating) of the furnace by about 20%, substitution of a “Basic” heat pump for the “Premier” unit in the contract, installation of a “wifi” thermostat with no wifi. We were charged for the service more than a week before installation was completed, with no acknowledgement of the substitution/downgrade of equipment from what was listed in the sales contract. Staff seemed uncoordinated, with the reception person who answered initial questions about the company’s services telling us one thing, which was then refuted by the sales agent, whose statements were in turn refuted by the installers, and to complete the loop, service staff contradicted the installers. In this situation, it is hard to put much credence in anything you are told by company staff. The cooling function of the heat pump has now been in operation for 2.5 months. Compared to the air conditioner it replaced, it is less noisy and keeps the house at a more consistently comfortable temperature. The installers were conscientious, and accommodated our requests to change the location of the outdoor unit and the routing of tubing between the indoor and outdoor units. Mr. Furnace has offered to install a Wifi thermostat.

Top notch service from the beginning with Brian diagnosing our nearly-done furnace (rust on the heat exchanger), and arranging for Chuck the Estimator to come within hours. Chuck gave us more than enough information to select the best option, and was able to reduce the price by choosing to have the work done the same day. Our air conditioning unit had only a couple of years left, and saved money by having it done as well. I didn't get the name of the fellow who arrived a bit later with his crew, but they worked their backsides off until into the evening. It seems to me (and I'm sure time will show) that they did an excellent job. Of course, it didn't hurt that we're on the Gold Plan, or that it was unseasonably warm yesterday. Had we put it off, and the heat exchanger broken open later, in the middle of the winter, it would have been a different story... It's March now and AJ came round to get our new AC unit ready for the summer. He was on time, courteous, friendly, and efficient, and took his time to answer my questions. It's supposed to be a hot summer coming, and we now feel prepared for it.... September 2021, great service from Mark making sure our furnace is ready for winter. He noticed something that needed adjusting, said they'd be in touch, and less than an hour after he left he called again to ask if it was alright if he did it now. Patient (with explanations), efficient, courteous and friendly.

Brian ,the salesperson was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained what he saw as my needs and what the company would provide. He also explained that Mr Furnace would contact an energy assessor and help me apply for Government rebates. Brian did not push me into a more expensive product than I needed and even recommended not replacing my air conditioning unit while other companies said I should. The price for the equipment is reasonable. The work has been scheduled for 4 days after his visit and hopefully the installers will be just as professional.

Our most recent service, Feb 5, 2021 was for annual boiler maintenance. As we are on the service plan, we received a call to schedule the service and then a call when the technician was on his way (right on time!). The technician Mark arrived and was extremely professional and kind. He fixed the boiler and got our heat back on, which was so greatly appreciated on this cold night. Despite the fact that it was late, he provided fantastic service with a smile. Thank you again Mr. Furnace! We had Mr. Furnace back last week to do our annual preventive maintenance. As usual, the service was professional and courteous, from the office staff who called to book the appointment and notify us when the technician was on route, to the technician himself. The technician was Mark again, and he completed the servicing efficiently and with courtesy. We are so happy with the service from Mr. Furnace! This summer (2020) Mr. Furnace installed attic duct work and air conditioning in our home and the technicians were friendly and professional and worked extremely hard to finish this major job. This week, we were very happy with our service from Jay and Claude. They were here for separately for two different issues. We had no heat and Claude arrived within a couple of hours of my calling for service. He was very friendly and efficient and was able to source the needed part and get our boiler working again quickly.
