The best way to judge the quality of a job is how long before the cracking starts to show up. With my drive way it was within 1 year. They came and did a messy patch job and within another year more cracking on the same areas. Now it's started to crack down the centre. And don't fall for the metal edging that they claim will prevent shifting and cracking, it didn't. Not a happy customer for the mid four figure price tag. 4 years on and I wish I had not used these guys. The satisfaction is not there. Be warned. Update! This company DOES stand behind it's work. Guy, the owner, personally dealt with my situation. He came and looked at the problems and presented a very detailed and concise plan to correct the driveway. He fully accepted responsibility for the inferior quality of the initial repair. He said he wanted to make things right and he has.

This organization is very well organized all the way from estimates to performance to customer assurance. Their teams are very efficient and do a great job. They make suggestions for improvements to the plan when they see possibilities. They turn an aging cracked driveway into something to be proud of, at a reasonable cost.

Superior Asphalt Paving Co. did a fantastic job of excavating, levelling and paving our parking pad. The preparation work was thorough, including a surveyor who came to ensure the grade would drain. The actual paving was magical to watch how the crew under foreman Felix Hernandez worked together to quickly, efficiently and artfully finish the asphalt surface. The job site was left clean and tidy and the worker who borrowed our garden hose even coiled it up tidily when he was finished with it (which we never do), as an example of the crew respecting our property. We were so impressed and pleased, and very glad we chose this company. Both crews were friendly and answered all our questions. We would recommend this company.

From the initial visit by the estimator, to the gravel and asphalt crews and to the quality control visit, the professionalism and service attitude of Superior was front and centre. They made a difficult job look easy: the hallmark of true professionals. The crews paid attention to details: getting the little triangle of sunken approach concrete sawed down, getting a straight edge on both sides of the driveway and making an elegant curve on the little sidewalk transition area. All of the work was done in two visits and within two weeks of the estimator coming. The price was exactly as quoted, although many little extras popped up, like the water shut-off valve that needed a sleeve. A big shut out to Richard, Brian, Kevin and Nicolas. I would recommend them for your driveway. Many neighbours have been by to admire my new, beautiful driveway!

I had a parking pad added to my driveway. The work was done in the end of July and by the end of August our driveway had developed a four foot long crack. Their warranty says they won't warranty cracks which is fine, but a four foot long crack a month after the work was done is a result of poor workmanship. The crews that did the work were fine, cost was in the ballpark with everybody else, however a not insignificant crack a month after install makes me wonder how long it's going to last before I need to get it replaced.

We had our driveway asphalted May 2017 and within 4 months it was cracking (we paid extra for the metal edges so it would be more solid). After 3 or 4 phone calls to the original salesman, they finally came out at some point when we were out of town and applied a “paintbrush strip” to the two cracks. The cracks were too wide and this didn’t fill them in. After more phone calls, we finally gave up when the snow came and in the Spring of 2018 received a “customer satisfaction call”, at which time I re-iterated that we weren’t at all happy. After waiting some time, hoping they would have rectified the situation, I finally connected with a Rep (not the original salesman) who promised that something could be done and asked that I send him pictures of the cracking (by this time, there are now 5 or 6 cracks). I emailed the photos right away and then phoned him the next day and confirmed that yes he had received them and things would go from there. Nothing has happened yet, it’s been close to a month and I am quite tired of “chasing after” this company. I would NOT recommend them at all - it appears that they don’t stand behind their work and I am one unhappy and frustrated customer. What more can I say-don’t hire them. ——————————————————————— UPDATE: I spoke with the owner, Guy, on September 24th. He apologized and indicated he wasn’t very happy with the way my situation had been handled to date and said they would come out and get the the cracks fixed properly. They came out today (Oct 9th) and routed out the cracks and filled them in. Thank you to Kelly who kept in touch throughout this period, so that I knew where things were at and what to expect. I am satisfied with the repairs they have done to hopefully prevent further damage and cracking and am glad the owner took the time to speak with me personally and helped speed up the process. UPDATE: one year later and the asphalt is still cracking and literally caving in on the edge. Would not recommend.
