Aqua-Tech came to do a 'yearly maintenance' on a tub that had not been opened in over 10 years. They put a hose in, filled it up and flicked a switch and billed me over $300 for the 'maintenance'. I would not trust services offered from this organization. They also do not respond to calls/emails regarding the misleading sales practice. I wish I could leave negative stars.

Our family has been dealing with these guys for 38 Years and my parents bought a filter 2 years ago from them and when it broke they Refused to warranty it. I work for a company that would never do this !! This place will definitely be hearing from our lawyer. My Parents did not deserve to be treated like they don't matter. See you in court Aqua-tec. I wouldn't go anywhere else for all my pool supplies or concerns. Aqua-Tech built my pool in 2004 and after shopping around it was an easy choice. I had never had a pool before and the way they set us up with the mineral springs system, well it couldn't be any easier. The whole staff is knowledgeable and always have the right answer and never try to upsell. you'll feel comfortable and at home the minute you walk in.

Of course there were delays, of course things were a bit late in relation to the season. But this had to do with the state of the supply chain which reflected the state of the world in early 2021. What we did get was incredible work, daily progress and improvement recommendations. I have been dealing with aquatec for 16 years! They have a very friendly and professional staff many who have been there most or all the time I’ve been going! I bought my above ground pool there and have done all my supplies and testing there ever since! Fall filter cleaning is a service I’ve also used! The last 2 years an app has been in place where I can test my water at home on line!!! This is a great service as I live 2 hours door step to door step away! 5 years ago I purchased a jetted tub and really nice grab bars for a bathroom reno. The grab bars have been liked over and over as they do not look like old tradition grab bars!! They are styling????!! Aquatec has my loyalty!

We purchased an in ground pool and had construction start in October of 2015. From the purchasing part dealing with Joe & Glen everything went as smooth as one would hope. When the construction phase started Sean & Greg took over with their team and I cannot put into words how easy and mindful of us as owners these two and their team made it. Continuous updates and explanations each and every day. Way above and beyond any expectations we had. Opening of the pool and the final touch ups took place the week of May 2nd 2016 - Greg took over and I again cannot explain how professional - upbeat - honest - and true to his word he was. Daily updates through a simple text message from Greg happened consistently. If he said he was going to do something at a certain time it happened and we were updated. Yesterday 05/04/2016 Glen (co-owner) comes out and takes an hour and a half of his time to run us through the pool and operation techniques. WOW! The final straw of awesomeness came today when I receive an e-mail from the water lab telling me the results of my water sample. The report said certain chemicals needed to be added to bring the water up to standards. I emailed back and within 2 minutes I receive a reply from Kathi giving some advice (ADVICE not selling product) AMAZING! If you are looking for a back yard transformation and you do not consult with Aqua-Tech you are doing yourself a dis-favour!! Thanks Aqua-Tech Team

We had a pool installed 12 years ago by Glen & his team at Aqua-Tech. The customer service by Cathy, John and their group over the years has always been second to none. The quality of their pool treatments is also something to consider, with the help of their water testing lab we have never had any issues with less than perfect water clarity. You may be able to find some of the chemicals elsewhere cheaper, but the quality is not the same.

They only cater the the elite . If you're just a bum with an above ground pool they will treat you as such and will not test your water or sell you their extremely expensive products. Oh but they'll make you drive all the way there to tell you that even if you call first.

We have been using Aquatec for 10 years. We believed in them; and we trusted them. Kathi is the BEST; love John too. BUT.... in the last 6 years we have needed THREE new heaters. We have recently had the problem looked into. We spent THOUSANDS of dollars on chemicals. It was always a “ chlorine “ issue, or it was the city water. NO... our pool was completely Acidic when we opened with an independent this year. When I saw what was inside that heater, I SOBBED! Water in for testing . pH upped.. new heater was $2000 LESS than Aquatec quoted. Chemicals now being checked by another independent guy, twice weekly, and THEY supply what is required. NO PUCKS OR STICKS folks! Sad in many ways that we had to leave, but their mark up on EVERYTHING is OUTRAGEOUS. We are thrilled to be finally enjoying our haven without worry.

We purchased our Sundance Optima Spa from Aqua-Tech three years ago and are extremely happy with it. Its water flow and jet action has not been matched by other spas we have used. For the sake of travel convenience, after a year or so, we made the mistake of getting our water tests and chemical purchases at a company just down the street. By trying to save a bit on chemical costs, and listening to the advice of less knowledgeable staff, my water quality maintenance issue became a nightmare. I am glad to say we are now back to getting sound advice and exceptional service from the knowledgeable staff at Aqua-Tech. We are using the Soft Soak Trio system and so far, water quality maintenance for our spa has become a non issue.

Went there to try and get a quote on a bathroom renovation. I told the lady what we needed done and she directed us in the right direction to look at what was available. However, she made no effort to help us plan our project or build a price quote, just saying that the project would be very expensive and over $10000. So we just left. We did not get the service based on what we read on the website.

Sometimes I have doubted what Kathi and the crew suggested I do for my pool but I learned that they are ALWAYS RIGHT! Great service! When we had a continuing problem with our heater and it was finally fixed they did it free of charge. When we bought a new one later, of course we went to aquatech. We have had the pool about 15 years and wouldn't think of going snywhere else.

Really very bad at first however In the end they did come to the front by giving me back the labour charges. Then to make things even better they sent me chemicals to look after my pool for the next year in place of the ruined 16 ml cover they couldn't replace. Originally I had ordered to have my cover installed and nothing but bad workmanship. After complaining they brought me a super thin 12 ml cover to replace the 16 ml the technician wrecked. With pool companies there seems to be the same problems and trends everywhere you go. Aqua tech is so far the only company that stepped up to properly resolve the issue. Although I ended up doing the job myself and the cover is now too short as the tech cut it the wrong shape; I have been compensated for the ruined cover plus the hassle so I am happy despite the inconvenience. I would use them again only because of the fact they jumped on the issues right away and are honest and seem to really care that things went badly.

Very Very expensive for heater and diagnostic services. I highly recommend you research your issue before calling Aqua-Tech. I believe ALL pool companies will charge significantly more money so try resolving the issue yourself or call a heater/repair company to compare prices. It doesn't have to be a pool company that repairs a heater.

We were removing an old pool (installed 20 years ago by Aqua Tech) and putting in a new hot tub. They offered a good quote and lots of additional advice and ideas for the project, so we picked them. Then they helped us find our tub a couple of months earlier than expected, and had it installed as soon as we were ready. The install team was outstanding, and managed to work around and under existing concrete without digging a trench, even though it was more work for them. Quick and easy water testing process. We've been in the Sundance Chelsee almost daily for months now, and would go with Aquatech again without hesitation!

On June 15/16 I dropped into Aqua-Tech to have my pool water tested. After waiting a short period of time a young female staff employee approached me with the water analysis report. She went over the report with me and pointed out the chemicals that I needed. She took the time to write down the steps that I needed to follow. When I asked whether I should purchase a start up kit she was quick to point out that I did not need one. She could just have easily sold me the kit instead of just giving me the two chemicals I needed. She was courteous, easy to talk to and forthcoming. We put a pool in 4 years ago and it isn't till now that I'm posting a review bc this eats at me every season we open our pool. We love our pool and we are enjoying it and the customer service at Aqua Tech with the needs for our pool now has been good. But the way the pool has been put in our yard has always been difficult to get past each season we open the pool. We did not receive good service in knowing how to put our pool in the yard to best work in our yard. In light of the amount of money it costs to put in a pool it was really poor service we received. It's hard each season we open our pool to not have regret. Because it was our first time and first experience we wouldn't have known any different. Just buyer beware that you're getting the proper guidance on putting your pool in your yard. It's a BIG expense and AquaTech may do it all the time but we all don't and they should do better on helping their customers with putting the pools in. We were warned that AquaTech is not good at doing this and we didn't listen and we regret it. Though on a positive they've been great with the customer service when we've had to deal with any pool issues after the fact. In response to Aqua tech's response to us, there will be nothing you can do for us without great expense. Once again we'll be opening our pool and it's hard to feel good about it. So much regret going with Aqua tech. We were a quick a sale and were treated as such. That's great for those who have had a great experience but that is not the case for us. They also messed up pouring our cement and they put Sierra stone on top to cover the horrible job and now we have to pay to have it refinished every few years. Not to mention how embarrassing it is when we have family and friends over. I could go on. Just buyer beware...

I just stopped in today to check the chlorine level in my pool to see if it needed adjusting as I have been working on correcting it with the staff for a couple of weeks. The staff was very helpful in answering my questions and pointing me in the right direction. I mentioned my stairs were staining and they also had a solution to remedy that problem and offered to give me another product to test and review for them next time I came in. As a long time customer, they look after your needs and make sure you leave satisfied. I recommend everyone to go to Aqua-Tech because service to customers is important to them and I appreciate it. As the snow melts in the Spring, I begin to anticipate the beautiful days of summer swimming in my sons' fantastic pool. Fantastic, one of the largest in Winnipeg, installed by Aqua Tech several years ago. It does require chemicals to maintain the proper PH. Considering the cost of chlorine, we decided to use from another source, which turned out to be a disaster. Cheaper, but drastically reduced the quality of water management, causing the PH to drop, so a constant tug of war. Then, came the conclusion, the best source of chlorine for the pool was to purchase SMART STICKS from Aqua Tech. What a difference!!! I strongly recommend their chemical products to maintain the water in the pool for a wonderful swimming experience. Also, the knowledgeable source of help from the experts at Aqua Tech is a huge bonus to enjoying a pool. Thanks for making our summer great.

To the knowledgeable staff at Aqua-tech, thank you once again for the advice on upgrading to a 3 stage motor for my pool. It was time to replace my pool motor when I spoke to the parts department and the fella there suggested that I go to a 3 stage motor. "It doesn't cost too much more plus you'll save money on your Hydro bill and this motor will last longer" he said. My old motor would add approximately $75/mo on my hydro bill and after the first month with the 3 stage, my cost was only $25 more. If I'm saving $50/mo over the summer with this pump......I'm in. Best advice ever. It's good to know someone who knows! Saving money, a great start to the summer. THANK YOU!

We updated our master bathroom and are extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the cleanliness of the work area from the installer, Sean. The help and recommendations from the designers, David and Bill, was gratefully received. Their work is high quality - absolutely no shoddy work, cover ups or shortcuts were found or observed. They were responsive to our inquiries and extremely polite. They finished in 2 months and we are now enjoying it! Aqua Tech built our pool 2 years ago and we couldn't be happier. Their customer service is exceptional. Working through the planning and designing of our backyard to the installation and now maintenance has been seamless. We were so happy with the service that we purchased our hot tub last summer. Again, everything was ordered, delivered and installed perfectly. Although they are across the city from us, and their prices are a little higher we feel that you get what you pay for, and with Aqua Tech it is quality.
