I met the Dirtwright Crew last year when they were doing some Landscaping next door. I asked Chris to get me a price to remove a pile of topsoil from under my deck and replace it with gravel. It was a difficult job with very little room to work. After we agreed on a price the Crew came in and worked non stop to get the job done to my satisfaction. They didn't cut corners. All the loam was removed, fabric laid under the deck and gravel hauled in and spread. Cleanup was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better job and I'm a fussy customer. Absolutely recommend them 100%.

I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I trust them until they break it. Read below as to why DirtWright Landscaping and Construction is far from a 5 star rating. We hired DirtWright to do some landscaping and some concrete work which lead to the job being extended due to finding out our deck was rotting. Time Management is poor. We never knew when they were going to show up (they were on this project for 8 weeks). Telling us we would have things completed by a certain date and not too worry, it would get done. It never happened. He caused major delays in our project that could have been prevented had he done his job properly. Integrity is poor. Through communication between all parties involved, including a supplier, the Owner, Chris, I believe forgot what he told each of us and didn’t have his stories straight. He said one thing to someone and another to someone else, catching him being dishonest. Work Ethic is fair. DirtWright has some really good guys working for them. At times, they were there long before the Owner ready to start the day. A couple of the guys truly worked hard and we appreciated their efforts. Unfortunately, their Boss spends too much time on his phone, not putting in a full day’s work, yet charging for his time. Cost is less than fair. Everything quoted seemed okay, but quite a few of the unquoted items were EXTREMELY over inflated. The unplanned deck was unquoted, but we trusted we would be treated fairly. Labour for our unfinished deck should have been built for approximately half of what they charged, as well as other opportunistic, unrealistic bills for smaller tasks. ($300 to move a smaller tower poplar tree – a local nursery charges $15 to plant one) Honesty is poor. The Building Permit was not pulled. We terminated this company from the completion of our job and in doing so, found out he only pulled the permit after he was terminated. He provided a photo of the permit, making it appear that perhaps it was the City’s error because he in fact had one, however it was him being dishonest. Chris only got a permit after we made an inquiry to getting our own permit to finish the project. Workmanship is fair. The initial job was very nice, however the cement that was poured is now falling apart in some areas and it’s only been a couple of months. The paving stones look very nice, and they were well done, however some were left cracked and not repaired. This company doesn’t clean up as they go. We spent hours cleaning up dirt and scraping cement off of the house. Fresh cedar mulch was put in and then they proceeded to cut material for our deck, leaving sawdust throughout our new cedar. There were damages that they didn’t take responsibility for. I am truly disappointed with DirtWright. I had high hopes and was excited about this job. Unfortunately, over time, true colours began to show and I realized that the company I would have given 5 stars will only receive one.

Great customer service with a product that is fabulous. I had work done this spring in a rainy and snowy climate and Chris kept in touch with me along the way. Also a great crew that worked hard to get the job done. Also some little extras were added along the way. I would get these guys to do any work all day long. The juice was worth the squeeze

We hired DirtWright for a commercial job with a small but important concrete scope. The work was solid (the inspecting engineer mentioned how surprised he was at the quality of the workmanship) and was completed on time and on budget. Can't ask for much more than that. Things were a little slow to start but Chris and his crew made up for it by working long hours to catch up. Change order pricing was very fair. All in all, happy with these guys from start to finish and we would use them again.
