Very impressed with the attention to detail by this company - and I'm an extremely picky person. Not only was the quote extremely itemized and detailed (6 pages in total), they removed an old elevated deck and concrete patio, did a ton of dirt work, put in screw piles, frost heave protection, much larger concrete pad, bigger elevated deck. What really impressed me was after they were done, I brought out my level for the decking (worried about water running back towards the house) - the bubble was just slightly touching the one line, providing enough of a gentle slope to allow for water to run away from the house, onto an eave and move away from the house, and concrete pad below. When I brought this up saying how impressed I was, the owner explained they put a 1/8" per foot slope for water control. The quote was interim billed as indicated, and any changes to the quote were approved by us before they did anything. Total cost of changes was less than 5% of original quote. It did take a long time, part of the delay in starting was because of issues getting some subcontractors who were booked and busy, which I know is quite common. This was ok though, because I'm a firm believer that technical expertise requires that large projects can either be done cheap and fast, or done right to last. The professionalism was some of the best I've ever experienced, even when I am sure I tested their patience at times, they didn't waiver. Questions for clarity were always answered quickly and with detailed responses in writing (email) so you could always hold them to account. I know this is a lengthy review, but I also know how hard it can be to get good information to trust someone when there are so many choices out there. Amazing quality and craftsmanship. He was amazing to work with from start to finish, and followed up afterward to make sure all was well. Extremely professional, hard-working, and provided an amazing quality product. Ardent replaced my roof on my home and my workshop. The work was done professionally, carefully and I am very pleased. Always they called to tell me their plans and asked permission before changing plans or entering the property. They went through additional measures to make sure the roof lasted a long time and made every effort to insure that it would not leak. They cleaned up after completion as well. They also built a small, 8'x8' shed, to house my water system and I am very pleased with their accuracy and advice as to the best quality products to use. I would highly recommend Ardent Contracting to anyone who wants a quality job done well.

Ardent Contracting did a great job of renovating our masterbath and our main bathroom. Andrew is very maticulous and always cleaned up after each day. We were referred to Andrew by another contractor who was no longer working in the area - this in itself should be considered a huge compliment to his level of workmanship. He and his crew installed 2 bathroom exhaust fans as well as a number of roof vents (as he recommended following a thorough inspection of our project and setup). They worked quickly but did not cut corners at all - in fact even after I had told Andrew that I would be alright with one of the fans being wall mounted, he took the extra time and steps needed to ensure it was installed in the ceiling (and this was not a simple task!). We are still impressed with his work over a year later and highly recommend Ardent!
