I am giving one star and that is being generous. We called 3 weeks ago to get our oil furnace repaired (when it was -35 out). Lady told us to plug in electrical heaters. We called back after 1.5 weeks and still nothing. We have been waiting and still nothing. When we lived in Yorkton, priority was given to those who didn't have running furnaces ... very different here. You will freeze to death.

Thorpe Brothers Plumbing and Heating, best customer service ever!! The first time I called Thorpe Brothers I woke up with no hot water in March. Thorpe Brothers replace the water heater that morning. I called Thorpe Brothers Plumbing Department due to a broken water pipe to the outside tap. Thorpe Brothers plumber (Sean)was there within minutes and the water pipe fixed.. fast efficient service???? I recommend Thorpe Brothers Plumbing and Heating for 5 star quality service. Brenda Freed

Needed a furnace installed. Talked to Colin (i believe that was his name). He took our name, address & phone #. They never showed up or even bother calling back. That was 2-3 yrs ago. Heard they rather have bigger contracts than installing a furnace in a small house!!!!!!!!!

Honestly was floored with how quick of a response I got from these guys. Faucet started leaking yesterday, and in the middle of -40 degree chill, these guys are getting tons of calls and they still got to me the next morning to replace my leaking shower faucet. Matt T. did an amazingly fast job, total new install, looks professional and clean. Highly recommend.

We first became Thorpe customers more than 15 yrs ago when we purchased a Vermont Castings NG BBQ complete with home delivery and install. Our first impression was highly positive and so several years later, when our original hot water heater “expired”, we called Thorpe Bros and - once again - receive very prompt, professional service. That same water heater started acting up the other day (almost 10 yrs later). A quick service call from Matt determined that there was an issue but that the manufacturer’s warranty would cover some of the cost! An hour later ... new water heater! Decided we should have our almost 30yo original furnace inspected too. A visit from Taylor provided a thorough diagnostic inspection. I really appreciate that the Thorpe Bros tradesmen are not salesmen. They are very knowledgeable (and patiently answer curious customer questions!) and offer their professional opinion on what is needed. Exactly what I want. Now, I’m about to book an appointment for a new furnace and AC. Tried and true. ???? ‼️UPDATE ‼️ (06/04/20) Thorpe Bros installed our new Lennox furnace, electronic air cleaner, and AC. All work completed in a day by a team of customer-focused and efficient professional installers. Highly recommended. ????

I am incredibly disappointed! I have used Thorpe Brothers multiple times over the years. Nearly three months ago I hired them to investigate and fix a leaking shower in the rental property I have. They went within a couple days of when I called but never once called me to tell me they went or what they found. They have not fixed the problem. I have called an left messages 5 different times with no return call. My father has called also with no response. Now, months later, they have sent me a bill in the mail for the original investigation and still no follow up call. The bill simply stated no replacement found! How ridiculous! I hope this is not the standard of business in Saskatchewan now.

Quite a few years ago, twenty four to be exact, one of the top people at Thorpe Brothers stood in my basement after we agreed on putting a water heater, a natural gas dryer, and a pulse 21 furnace. At that point he asured me that we would never have to buy a part for this furnace. He was right, there came a time where parts would be hard to get if needed. So two years ago we put a new furnace in for a lot less money, half the size, and a lot more efficient. I love my wife very much and we are getting older, so having said that, we installed central air. I could not be more satisfied. The thing that may suprise, is the same fellow that put the first furnace in, also put the new furnace in. My daughter spent five years there, and was a amazing place to work, never short of challenges. Thank you to all the people a Thorpe Brothers

I hired Thorpe Bros to install a new water heater ( which I also purchased from them ) Just 26 months after the install, the soldered pipe above the water heater is leaking. I took a picture up to them of the issue. At first look I was told it was a very old solder. It appears to have been dripping for a while. When I told the fella they had installed it just two years ago he suggested they would make it right, but when the Service Manager came out he let me know it's out of warranty and they will not fix it. It's fairly obvious it is poorly done. Unrelated, 8 months ago I called to have someone come by and give me a quote on a fairly big job...having my "back flow" valve replaced. After two months of waiting I went to the office. I gave my information and was assured a call. It is now six months later. I understand my initial issue is just out of warranty, but after looking at their work, I would have hoped a business would like to keep their name associated with quality and not with shoddy work.

*****Update***** April 19, 2018 I am about to get an Air Conditioner installed by these folks and part of the reason is they are really great people and, for the most part, Colin is very easy to talk with about your needs. I look forward to my new AC and to them coming out to install it cause I know it will be done right. On another note... Remember the cold snap we had around Christmas? It was like minus 50? My septic tank stopped working and I was scrambling to get help fixing it. I called EVERYONE and no one was able to help. I had to get out there with garden hoses and utility pumps to drain the septic. Imagine having to have a new garden hose and a new utility pump every day just to drain this septic cause it was that cold. I decided to call Thorpe, even though I figured it wasn't something they would do, to see if they could help. Let me tell you... No sooner did I hang up the phone there was someone at my door (keep in mind this was the holiday season and cold as hell!) asking me to show them what the trouble is and what parts do I have to help in fixing it. Turns out that all it was was the cast-iron outlet on the pump blew apart so no liquids were being pumped out. Luckily I had a new temporary pump and some tubing and some connectors/adapters. He brought up the old pump and installed the temporary one. We were back up and running! Unfortunately it was short lived as the hose between the connection to underground and the new hose to the new pump came apart and we were back to manually pumping but my point is... Thorpe was there for me and my family was so happy for the reprieve. *****Update***** September 25, 2017 I had contracted Thorpe's Plumbing and Heating to come out to my little homestead on this day to put a new more efficient furnace in . I was, for lack of better words, amazed at how the job was completed. The two that came out, Jesse and Dave, were very professional. They had just the right conversation mixed with a lot of get it done mentality. I didn't feel intruded upon at all. If something was in the way of getting their job done they moved it and when the job was done they put it back. I can't say how impressed I was with the whole job they did. Dave had a very personable way about him - explaining everything in a way you could understand. Jesse was very intuitive about his role there (He's one of Thorpe's latest students of the trade) and followed instruction very well! Apart from who was responsible for playing the country music they both worked great together! Once they were done and gone I went down to see it all and was, again, surprised at how well they did at the clean up. I am pretty sure that it was cleaner down there around the furnace than what it had been before they got there! Perfect job done and can't wait till I can afford to get the Air Conditioner put in. I will get Thorpe's to do this as well! Colin (The boss man) called as a followup a couple of days later to see how the job went which was great to see as well. I bent his ear with all the praise. *****Update***** March 28, 2017 Subsequent dealings with the heating and plumbing area of this company have been a lot better. Colin Thorpe was a pleasure to deal with and did acknowledge this review. He genuinely wanted to ensure I was treated professionally. I have since raised this review ranking from 1 star to 4 stars because I feel it's a big step to acknowledge and then take steps to resolve issues relating to customers. *****Initial Review***** Unfortunately I am unable to rate this business based on work done since they never got around to contacting me about the job. I called on two different occasions regarding an installation of a dual fan system into our bathroom and the exhaust of it but no one bothered to call me back. It made me fell that the job just wasn't big enough. If that was the case they should just have told me that. Now I need to consider a new furnace for our new place and just don't know if I should give them a call.

This is a one year review on a Furnace, Ac unit, and water heater installation. The guys did an amazing and professional installation of the 3 units. Since I have electrical baseboard heat up stairs, I got the guys to run 3 Ducts up the old chimney which after a year has saved me 40% on my power bill. I had the original furnace "38 years old" still in the house which still was running fine but was loud, and only had 2 modes on full blast and off. We replaced it with a 2 stage Lennox high efficiency furnace. Now our house doesn’t have that cold draft anymore since we have the fan running all the time which gives us a comfortable air circulation through out. We also saved 14% off our energy bill as well. Very happy with their Service and would recommend them to others.

Needed a pressure test done for heat to get hooked up. Put a 500$ deposit down was told 2 weeks. Called back a month later for the first time, to check and was treated like i was annoying. 3 months later no heat so i called mr.plumber and had heat 3 days later.

Great customer service and on time. We recently had all our hvac replaced this year and thorpes had the best pricing, warranty and service. All my questions were answered quickly via email or phone call. I would recommend Thorpe brothers to everyone. Again great job guys and didn't have to clean any garbage.
