I would highly recommend Durrie at Lodge Paint and Repair! We had a major water leak in a pipe above the plaster ceiling in the kitchen of our home, which was built in 1982. As most of you will know, a water leak can be a long way away from where you actually see the water. Our plumber had to cut several holes in the plaster ceiling of our kitchen in order to find the leaking pipe…one hole was about 2’ wide and x 8’ long! After the water pipe was repaired, Durrie was able to come in and repair the plaster ceiling for us, as well as some cracks that had occurred. It’s now impossible to see where the gaping holes were located, and there are no more cracks! And, he did an excellent job of preventing dust from the repair job to float through the rest of the house. With any plaster repair job, having dust is a given. But Durrie covered and taped all of the floors with paper, he put up plastic everywhere, and he shut off the furnace and air-exchanger so that the dust was reduced significantly. He also re-painted our open-concept family room and kitchen. His attention to detail was appreciated. It’s not easy to find a trades-person who is actually knowledgeable about plaster from the early 1980s. Durrie is that person! On top of this, Durrie is very personable, polite, and respectful. He is very highly recommended by us!!!
