I'm very disappointed as we read all the reviews which were excellent. David Leitch was sent out to do the estimates we asked for 3 estimates one for the small front porch 5 x 6 which needed to be covered as the old concrete one had eroded, one for our gables and one for the fireplace chimney to be sided. The quote for the front porch came back $6722.00 and the quote for the chimney and gables were not split it came back together as $2918.. I emailed him back and said the deck was out of the question as it was simply not within our budget and and asked he split the quote as we asked for when he came out. He replied "Thank-you for the feedback. I'm afraid with the front step off the table, this job becomes too small for us to pursue "........NOT IMPRESSED so because we don't have $10,000 to spend our business is not needed apparently...HOW RUDE, HOW UNPROFESSIONAL..........from any of the reviews I've read some of the jobs done e.g. such as replacing some shingles that had blown off would be far less and yet those jobs were done.....but because we couldn't afford to do the deck and asked for the rest was not enough for them.....GREEDY............ AS for Absolutes Response to the original portion of my review....I never decreased anything we asked for 3 quotes were given 2 quotes, we asked for the second quote to be broken down after we rec'd only the 2 quotes, we asked for the chimney and gables to be priced separately at the time of the quote being done and were told it was not a problem and then you refused stating since we weren't going to go ahead with the 5x6 deck that you priced out at $6722 because it was out of our budget you told us neither job would get done........no one along the way mentioned you wouldn't do just the deck or just the siding of the gables and chimney which we made clear from the start that we would have to prioritize which job would be done now Aug 2019 and which one would have to wait until spring......so I'd like to know how you think we decreased anything....if anything ABSOLUTE GENERAL CONTRACTORS were not upfront with us as nothing was ever mentioned to us that you would do a job under $10,000 which the approximate cost of both jobs added together........How many people have $10,000 to put out all at once, the average person does not and those of us who have retired have budgets and limitations to what can be spent all at once. Frankly if this is the way Absolute conducts themselves its DISGUSTING and perhaps if it had been made clear from the start that you don't do jobs under $10,000 we wouldn't be this upset, we made it clear from the start the 2 were separate jobs!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolute General Contractors have been a pleasure to work with from the beginning. I had initially spoken with Corey about the details of the job (we had our siding and doors replaced, as well as added a deck). He was very knowledgeable about the products, and gave helpful advice. He listened to what we wanted and conducted himself in a very personable yet professional manner. The communication with the rest of the team was excellent. They let us know updates and kept us informed along the way. Wayne was the main worker on the job. He was extremely hardworking and polite. I hired Absolute General Contractors to demolish an 80 ft fence that was extremely old, and falling apart, and to put up a new fence. They were prompt at starting the job, and finished it very quickly. The new fence looks amazing. It looks very strong and sturdy, compared to another existing fence, which I'm considering asking them to replace in the near future. They were very professional and friendly, and they cleaned up after themselves. They also take responsibility for any damages to the worksite that they may cause. They also do a followup, to make sure you are happy with the results, and will work with you to solve any issues. I definitely recommend Absolute General Contractors if you want a job done right.

We required prompt service for our roof after a storm took away some of our 15 year old, degraded shingles and exposed some of the plywood underneath. Absolute general contractors was a quick google search, they were local, established and from our experience had good customer service. Aron was our sales person and the one who did the estimate. Although new with the company, he was polite, professional and knowledgeable. We had a quick temporary repair done, and the following week we had our roofing crew show up. They worked fast and the end result looks great.

When I approached Absolute General Contracting with a new and unfamiliar project, they bravely accepted the challenge. During construction their team, especially their foreman Jim, endured valiantly despite being thrown some curve balls and being forced to work in undesirable weather conditions. What was important for me was that they were flexible with scheduling when I needed them to be. Because this type of construction project was new for both sides Jim was invaluable in coming up with ways to make the construction safer and more efficient. Finally, the finished product exceeded my expectations and looked great. I would recommend them for any type of construction project.

It has now been over 3 months since "they would get back to me" and no response. Terrible customer service. Would not recommend. Found better contractors in the area.

We had our roof replaced by Absolute. Isaac was a pleasure to work with. He was very attentive to all of our requests and beat the quote we got from Quinte Roofing by $100 or so. We got the 50 year limited warranty on the roof, and the company uses Owens Corning products, which based on my limited research is a superior product. The roof was done within a day of the crew starting work, although the start date was pushed out by a week due to inclement weather. Everything was cleaned up throughout the day, and the dumpsters were hauled away by the following day. I had asked the crew to remove molding from the fascia before they installed the new drip-edge, but that was not done everywhere (probably due to a mis-understanding). When I pointed this out to Isaac on his final inspection he sent a worker out to fix the problem the following day. Overall, I'm satisfied with the work done and would likely work with Absolute again. PS. I also got a $50 kick-back for writing this review :)

work is good when and if they show up to complete it . promised many time we will be there in x amount of days only tohave no one show up and no phone call. project started in nov 2017 told be up in no time now into jan 2018 and still not completed and nothing but excuses when someone finally talks to you after leaving messages! if you are too bust at least say it don't take o the job if you cant complete it , all this after my initial quote was over a year ago and the price doubled !!

Went with Absolute as a result of their positive reviews on Google. They came late last year and agreed to do our renovation in our basement. Holidays and the lockdown hit and they said they would contact me to come by after lockdown to get things started. I never heard back so I emailed to try and arrange a time for him to come by again and he told me they're no longer taking any work this year and won't be doing my renovation after all. He had already agreed to do the job and backed out which now sets us back at least a year with booking timelines when I was expecting to start work soon. They never asked me about a deposit to save my spot and just went to the highest bidder. Avoid this company as they have zero integrity and poor business practices.

Absolute was wonderful to deal with, they came out to estimate the job (our roof), in timely fashion brought a fair price to the table and even managed to start and complete the project in advance of the projected time frame. The quality of work is without reproach. The staff are all very pleasant to deal with, and they take pride in what it is that they do. The product that is used for roofing is second to none, it is a thorough system in terms of coverage, it also benefits from being rugged and attractive, coupled with a fantastic warranty I will be personally recommending absolute to anyone I personally know.

We just recently hired Absolut general contractors of Trenton Ont to install vinyl siding to our outdated cedar. Besides having a wide selection we found there pricing very competitive .What impressed us most was the professional manner in which the job was carried out .The workers were polite courteous and timely .They brought a radio to help break the day but did not play it so as to disturb the neighbours and I did not have to be embarrassed with any unwanted cursing or swearing as can be the case with a lot of fly by night outfits. All our neighbors like the new look. Job well done.

Hi Kirk! Nov 7, 2015 eMAIL to Kirk at ABSOLUTE Contractors: During the windstorm last week, I noticed that a few shingles were loose and I managed to weigh them down with bricks during the height of the storm and before they flew off. It seems the shingles were not properly nailed down during the repair of the valley channels. How should the shingles be best fastened now? Nails, Glue or how? To my surprise, a day later a Roofing crew arrived, inspected my roof and fixed the loose shingles right away! Like always, ABSOLUTE CONTRACTORS stands behind the work they do and, if something did go wrong, they fix it immediately! Great job! We have hired Absolute General Contractors twice now - once 8 years ago to install a steel roof and new windows and again this fall to replace the front deck and reshingle our shed. In both cases, we had great experiences with both the sales people and the contractors. Natalie was quick to respond to all emails and keep us informed as to the status of the job. Once the deck was started, Randy and his crew were here working, no matter how cold or wet the November weather and the end result is a beautiful deck. We will consider Absolute again for our next renovation work.

Absolute General Contractors did a great job on my Mother's roof in Bayview Estates. However I supplied the roof vents with the request that the sunroom have a vent put on it. This was not done. Instead the 3 vents (I supplied) were all put on the main roof. I would like to see Absolute attend to this issue. Other than that they were professional and courteous to my Mother. Also a great job cleaning up the yard of roof debris.

Had Absolute in to complete renovation on my small bathroom and update bedroom and closet doors. Employees were friendly and professional. Work was done in a timely manner and they always cleaned up before heading home. Chris followed up on a regular basis to ensure the work was being done and to keep me up to date. I had a new cement driveway put in less than a year ago and Chris arranged for the disposal bin to be placed on the side of the road rather than my driveway so possible rust stains would not be left on the driveway. This respect for my property was shown throughout the job.

When I decided it was time to have my old deck replaced, I was looking for a professional, experienced, reliable company with qualified tradesmen to do the job. After speaking with their sales manager, I found Absolute General Contractors Ltd. to be what I was looking for. The project was to demolish the existing deck and replace it with a cedar one, built to my specifications. Both the sales manager and designers worked with me to design a deck that met my requirements as well as satisfying building regulations and guidelines. I am extremely pleased with the result and the care taken along the way to preserve my flower beds as much as possible, and to build a deck that is as solid as a tank! My new deck has become my summertime “oasis”. I also took the opportunity to have Absolute take on a couple of other repairs that were needed. Their expert carpenter replaced the wooden basement window wells with solid 6x6 cedar ties that look better than the original! Also, the stones on my front step were crumbling from salt erosion and Absolute was able to replace all the stones and rebuild my front step. The result was a replica of the original step and it looks amazing! I found their prices to be fair and commensurate with the quality of their work. I appreciated the fact that once they arrived to do my particular job, they worked to complete it entirely before moving on to their next job. The project was done quickly and efficiently, delayed only by the weather – it was a very soggy spring! I can’t tell you how pleased I am with their workmanship and would highly recommend them. I definitely plan to use them again for future projects.

My parents had a fantastic experience with Absolute General Contractors. They are extremely happy with their new deck they had put in this May. The crew was very quick and efficient in removing the old deck and installing the new one. It took a total of 2 1/2 days from start to finish. Our roof was leaking quite badly so Issac sent a crew over to put a tarp up for us right away. Issac was very quick in responding and coming to give us a quote. Very pleasant to work with. After dealing with a number of contractors, trying to get the best pricing and hopefully the best service, we wasted 5 months of our time, we should have asked Absolute Contractors to do our deck in the first place.. Isaac, the Marketing Manager at Absolute Contractors kept us informed throughout the project, really making us felt good about the whole thing. Randy and his team that were on site were very friendly and hard working, even at minus 13 degrees!! All in all, we are happy campers, we will not hesitate to recommend and/or use Absolute Contractors in the future.

We recently had our front porch re vamped by Absolute Contractors. The Sales person, Chris, was professional, friendly and communicative. He was excellent at returning our calls, answering our questions. He actually assisted us with the design for the new "curb side appeal" we were after. Thank you so much. We are very appreciative of all his hard work. Absolute Contractors sent a crew over to begin the job. The guys were safety minded, friendly, polite, clean and efficient. They cordoned off the sidewalk area (at the bottom of our stairs) for the safety of the public. The crew then supported and stabilized the porch roof, and tore out our old, decrepit cement pillars and landing/stairs and railings. They built our new landing/stairs with grey pebble PVC decking and white aluminum railing. Our design consisted of the stairs being built toward driveway rather than sidewalk since we have an ageing parent that resides with us and we were concerned about his safety. He has always felt uncomfortable being so close to the busy sidewalk and road, he now has a renewed confidence about leaving the house by the front door. Thank you for that! Absolute Contractors made sure all the details were executed perfectly right down to the patio stones leading to the driveway along with the PVC skirting that hides the underpart of our landing that now faces the sidewalk. The 3 of us are extremely satisfied and very appreciative of how Absolute Contractors went OVER AND ABOVE every step of they way! They have definitely earned our respect and future business. When we decided to build our own home, we had several builders provide us an estimate based upon our design. We contacted several contractors and when pricing came back, we were left disappointed as all of them were way out of our budget. We were left to wonder if this dream would not be feasible, but we sold our house and had little else to fall back on to get back in to the real estate market. Then we stumbled upon Absolute General Contractors. Corey took our plans and came back with a budget that fit nicely within our means. The dream was back on. We were ecstatic. Our plans were sent to acquire necessary permits by Absolute and we began construction late September and were moved in by March. A reasonable amount of time considering building over the winter months amid Covid protocols. Corey’s team kept us on budget and completed the house perfectly. From the civil subcontractors, framers, mechanical, electrical and finish sub trades, the process went fairly smoothly. Any cost over runs were the result of us adding to the scope. We have now been living here since March 2021 and thus far there have been no issues with the building envelope. We would highly recommend Absolute for any of your contracting needs. Great team, quality construction and finishing. I should know, as I am an Architectural Technologist myself. Thank you Corey, Michele and the rest of the Absolute team.
