For example, when Jesse first came out to give me an estimate for the work I needed doing, he went up and fixed a couple of missing shingles free of charge to make sure I wouldn't have any problems in case we had bad weather before the main job was done. The crew that came to do my roof were all good, hard working people that took pride in their work, and they did a great job. Good guys in my book. In my case I only got half of my roof done because the rest of the roof still has a couple of years of life left. They went above and beyond our expectations and really took that extra step in taking care of us! They changed the vent in our roof and our bathroom vent wasnt venting outside only into the attic area so they fixed that free of cost. Jessy explained everything to us and was very helpful and showed us all the photos when the work was done! The crew was quick, professional, and friendly! 10/10 Only thing I would recommend is checking out the colour of the shingles in person, due to covid we didnt want to go out too much and the colour we chose looks much lighter than how it looked in the catalogue; however we still love it!

We hired Stokes to replace our 3-tab builder-grade shingles with 40-yr IKO Architectural shingles in the Fall of 2020. When I met Jesse at the house for the first time, he offered to fix up a loose piece of vinyl siding I had while he was there giving me the quotation. He also mentioned that we would match the lowest quote I got, within reason. Of the four quotes I received, Stokes came in at the second highest. I contacted Jesse and asked if he would match the lowest quote... he stuck with his word and did just that! Two crews started and finished in a single day (Fri Oct 23rd), and did a great job! I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again. Price was fair, cleanup was thorough, and the roof looks great... nice touch on the drip edge too! Thanks again!

Stokes Roofing did a roof shingle replacement on my home recently as well as a quick vent replacement a year or two ago on very short notice. The work was excellent, for a good price. Jesse and his crew performed every task agreed upon and the end result looks great, and the cleanup was excellent. Jennifer was a pleasure to deal with as well to set up the job, and provide details on every step that would be taken for the job including what products would be used. Some prolonged bad weather had pushed back the initial work date, but she assured me I was scheduled and would be getting a call when the crew was ready and sure enough I did. I had noticed late on a Saturday that i had some shingles come off in a windstorm. I sent a message on their Website, explaining my situation, and that knowing it was a small job but could use assistance to get repaired. This message was sent later in the evening. I received a response back later that same evening (remember this is Saturday), asking for a confirmation of some information. Sunday i received a call that there would be someone at my house shortly. Was greeted by name when they arrived, Jessie went up on my roof, was able to replace and repair my missing shingles, and i should also mention that it had started snowing when he was doing this. I contacted Stokes Roofing to request a quote for re-roofing the family cottage. Jennifer responded promptly and in a couple of days I had my quote. In the middle of winter in a heavy rain fall we found ourselves with the unfortunate situation of a roof leak. We called Jesse and he was at our doorstep within an hour, very professional, friendly and with a great price. In the pouring rain he went up on our roof with large tarps to stop the leak. After the windstorms of August and the rains of September, we had to replace our roof a few years sooner than anticipated. We contacted 3 companies and received 2 quotes... a month later and still waiting on the 3rd quote. Stokes was referred by an acquaintance. They did not disappoint. Jennifer in the office sets the experience up with prompt realistic responses. The last 18 months have been crazy for everyone. Inventory and labour shortages with increased demand under tension. We understand that, so were providing each company lots of latitude. Stokes takes nothing for granted, they are honest, realistic and communicate. They were not the cheapest, but I don't shop at Walmart. Their competitors warranty and communication was far behind what we received from Stokes. I'm not a bot, or paid to say this, but I'm just a homeowner with too steep of a roof to dare to fix myself, and Stokes delivered. I will use their great service again, and will recommend highly.

Last year we had Jesse from Stokes Roofing come to fix our shingles that had blown off during a wind storm. This winter he came twice to fix a few shingles for the same reason. He noticed a section of shingles that needed to be replaced and came back this week to replace that section. You would never know he was here. He cleaned up everything, was prompt, super courteous and professional and I am happy to refer him to anyone and everyone I know. I’m not sure why my experience did not seem to match up with most of the other reviewers, but I would not hire Stokes again. When I got my estimate I was super impressed, Jesse seemed great. I booked my roof replacement in July 2020 and was told they were booking into September, which I had no problem with. Jesse told me to call a week ahead to confirm. When I did, they told me they were running a few weeks behind and to call back in 3 weeks. No problem, I understood it was an unprecedented year. I called 3 weeks later and was told they were just about to start on the schedule that I was on, so probably another 3 weeks. After that I called again and they said 2 weeks. On and on. I had to keep calling to get updates until they finally came in late December. Jesse told me over the phone that they were about a month behind, so I guess my job must’ve been lost or forgotten, despite my regular follow ups. The team did a good job on the roof from what I can tell except that they didn’t touch the chimney flashing, which I only noticed because it was brown to match the old shingles, and the new ones are black. When I asked about it, Jesse said he thought it was in good shape so he didn’t put it on the work order, but they offered to paint it for me instead. In my opinion, with a total roof replacement they should be doing the chimney flashing or at least be upfront about what is included and what isn’t. A few months after the roof was done I noticed while up on a ladder that they hadn’t re-shingled the ledges between the main & upper floors of my house. So I called and Jesse sent some guys out to do it right away. They again said it hadn’t been on the work order (despite me specifically pointing them out at the estimate meeting to ensure they were included). They redid them quickly but we noticed afterwards there were still nails & bits of old asphalt stuck underneath the new shingles, causing them to not lay flat. Overall, it was a lot of chasing to get everything done the way it should’ve been from the beginning.

If I could give 6 stars I would. Jesse and his crew went above and beyond my expectations. The roof on my house was one of the worst I have personally seen. I think Jesse and his crew would agree after taking off the shingles. They literally gave me and ENTIRE new roof (see attached pictures of before and after). I must say I was a tad nervous when I came home one day and there wasn't anything on the top of my house!!! They assured me I would have the nicest roof in the neighborhood when they were done... they didn't lie!!! Jesse and Bill were able to produce a clean-lined, straight, and quality roof. I couldn't be more satisfied with the results, which speak for themselves. On my 600 sq. foot shop, my ice and water shield was laid faster than I've seen on YouTube. Without letting them know, I bought extra plywood to replace the top 2x8 strip of weak osb. It wasn't an issue, and they replaced the osb with plywood in a timely fashion. Excellent work ethic. They even added caulking in any area that had been weakened by pulling out the old nails. The pre-drilling of the sheets was really appreciated, as per manufacture recommendation. I spoke to another well-regarded contractor in the area who would rather force the rubber-washer screws through the sheets without pre-drilling like Stokes did, which causes dulling and unnecessary stress to the steel. I was there for every step to aid and assist, but I've never been so impressed by a work crew who never cut corners. Polite, respectful to my 3 children, and they maintained a dedicated degree of safety throughout the install. They used high quality ring nails, have high quality tools, and hit every stud through the strapping using chalk lines and tricks of the trade. Thank you, guys!! Thanks, Bill, for taking the time to show me how to make detailed lines on custom cuts and how to properly install fascia. You are a blessing with steel! Also, thanks to the owner for his careful eye, who, for example, noticed the previous windstorm had ripped off a sheet of my shingles and jumped to cover the problem area.
