Dans employees were very professional,explained things in a way I could understand. they arrived at 11 am and worked till 6pm with no breaks. they were dedicated to get the job done and have it done right with no mistakes or set backs. My air conditioner failed during the summer of 2020 which seemed to be one continuous heat wave so it was needed all the time. I called Kawartha Hot Water as I have had great service from them with our hot water tank as well. It was the Civic Holiday long weekend and stores were closed, so I sent a message through their website looking for a replacement capacitor expecting a response in a day or two. The store was closed, but messaged me back and stated that he had them in stock. He then met me at the store so I could buy the replacement part. From my own diagnosis he agreed that that was the right thing to replace. I then installed it and we had AC again! My family of 6 is very glad to have such great local and friendly service! Thank you very much!

What a great experience after a few not so pleasant times involving Reliance technicians. Kawartha Hot Water comes to Reliance services calls as an independent contractor and WOW! I highly recommend this company. The owner personally calls to schedule and they are prompt, efficient, and friendly.

Kawartha hot water is one of the best HVAC companies around, i called them last Thursday around 7PM because my furnace stopped working, i wasn't expecting them to show up because of the blizzard and weather warnings across Ontario but they immediately sent a service tech over to my house and within the hour they got my furnace back up and running.

Great bunch of people to do business with. I had to replace the rod in my hotwater tank. I spoke to Dan and he had all the materials I'd need. When I picked up what I needed he even took the time to walk me through exactly what I would need to do change things myself. Really went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care. He even gave me his personal contact info and said "If you have and problems, call me, no problem". Can't see myself ever dealing with anyone else for Heating, Water or AC.

Very helpful and professional staff. Installation of water heater went perfectly. Kathy was very friendly and helpful, she helped me explore all my options before going through with buying a new tank, which ending up dying anyways on its own. She was there for us to quickly help with the delivery and installation of the new tank in the dead of winter.

They replaced my old furnace with a new Canadian made Continental a year ago. The old unit was only partially conected to the duct work and as a result had back presure. This caused the old unit to retain condensation, leading to severe rust and premature failure. They took the time to explain where the problem was and how they would make sure the new unit was instaled properly. These guys really know what they are doing. A year later, I had them come back to do a regular service and no rust was present. The new Continental was functioning perfectly.

My husband believed our tank needed a valve replacement to stop a slow leak. This company quoted $5,500.00 for a full tank replacement, after spending less than 5 minutes looking at our current tank. When we asked about monthly installments, their interests calculated to almost $7000.00! We then called another company, who took a detailed look at our tank. They found the leaky valve my husband was initially suspicious of, and are replacing that valve instead of the entire tank, saving us thousands. I felt like this was a scam to force a replacement of a tank that wasn't even looked at thoroughly. Do not recommend.

This is the worse service I have EVER received from a company. They know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about AC systems. I paid reliance for 2 years and they have fully refunded me. DO NOT buy reliance service plan if you are in Peterborough because this is the only company they use. My AC has been not fully operational since August 4th. No resolution from this company after multiple attempts. No emergency service if you call on Friday you won’t get a call back until the following week if you are lucky. I wrote to the owner and the answer was to use someone else! Oh ya and maybe Gertley who I stalked the system undersized it for my 1000 square foot house. One month in, no apologies. Nothing. Reliance lost a customer because of them. Technician more interested in showing us his pot plant grow room then finding out what’s wrong. I will be reporting to better business bureau where they have had complaints in the past. I would rate them -10 if I could.

When our hot water tank started to leak after 5:00 pm on a weekday, this was one of the first companies that I contacted. I was surprised to have Dan, the owner, answer the phone himself and assure me that he, or another member of his staff, would be able to get to my location at some point the next day. I followed up with a phone call the next morning and spoke with Christine, who could not have been more helpful. Dan arrived, took a look at our problem and, as I suspected, told us that we would need a new water heater (ours was at least 20 years old!). This was at 3:00 on the Friday before a long weekend. I was very pleasantly surprised when Dan offered to drive back to Peterborough to pick up a new tank and then come back to do the installation. I don't believe that I have ever experienced such wonderful customer service from any other company. I would highly recommend this company for any of your needs. We certainly could not have been more pleased.

Two nights ago our hot water tank died on us, so I immediately hopped on Google to search out some local businesses. My first call/message was to Kawartha Hot Water who responded to my questions within minutes. At 9:45pm Dan (owner) called me to chat about my situation and to give me an idea of costs, different options, etc. He was very professional and reassuring. He even ended the conversation by saying “before you confirm the install/purchase take a look around town to price some hot water tanks out and do some of your own research on what unit you want/need”. I never felt pressured or anything to make a purchase and I knew that Dan was always being open and honest when we spoke. Unfortunately I needed my hot water tank sooner than Dan could provide, but I know for a fact that the next time I’m in need I will be back. And I would recommend this amazing LOCAL business to anyone who is in need of a hot water tank and/or and install! Thanks again Dan for all of your guidance, I appreciate your honesty and your amazing customer service!

Dan Tripp, from Kawartha Hotwater Plus, was the 3rd business I contacted after going almost 5 weeks without hot water. After explaining the symtoms of my tankless water heater, Dan diagnosed it over the phone, then had it fixed a few hours later. I should have called him first. I won't make that mistake again! If it wasn't for calling Dan, I was on the path to buying a new unit, which would have cost me thousands of dollars! Thanks again Dan!

Really happy with the service. I had some ongoing problems with my furnace, and they came out on weekends, including a Sunday evening - whenever needed, really.
