Our furnace died on New Year’s Eve. Boyle had technicians at our home within two hours to assess the problem. Our furnace needed to be replaced. We had quotes provided (3 choices offering a range of pricing/product) within hours of the initial visit and a new furnace installed within 3 days (one of those days being New Year’s Day - a holiday.) Repair seems to have been done, but the process was a headache. I called to have my gas fireplace fixed. It took months to get done, they showed up unannounced without scheduling with me (twice) which aggravated my tenants, and whoever did the initial part of the repair turned the radiant heat on full blast and left it like that in the middle of a heat wave - my tenants said the couches were so hot when they got home that they couldn't even touch them, not to mention their increased utility bill. This doesn't even make sense since the gas fireplace has nothing to do with the radiant heating... Noticeable lack of communication from the office, both to me and to their repair crew. I've paid the invoice and am just glad the hassle is over. Will likely go with another company next time.

My furnace failed during the coldest week we had this winter, so I contacted Boyles as recommended by a friend. They responded immediately, and after an assessment, determined that my extremely old furnace needed replacement. The quality of the installation was excellent, and repairs were also made to bring my exhaust to proper code. I had to call Boyles again this week, as we discovered a child had wedged a toy in our exhaust vent. We got the same immediate response, and excellent service after installation as well. Highly recommended this company.

Have used Boyle Mechanical's service 3 times now and have been decently impressed each time. I had them install a natural gas line for my BBQ, move a furnace (along with some custom duct work), and I have had them install a reverse osmosis system and water softener. Here's the deal: 1) they showed up on time or within 15 mins of when they said they would 2) they are not the cheapest, but the price was what they said it would be (and actually for the r/o system and water softener, they were the cheapest too) 3) they are neat and clean - they obviously take pride in their work and care what the homeowner thinks 4) so far their work works - everything has been A1... bonus points for honestly in identifying that my suspected sewer backup was actually my condensation line from my furnace (wicking effect on the carpet!) and saving me a few bucks! I had so much trouble finding reliable contractors in Toronto, it's great to have found a great one so easily in Peterborough.

The guys did a great job installing central air conditioning at our century home on Lock Street. They were very neat and tidy inside and out, and I appreciated that they stayed late to get the job done (7 pm). They are not inexpensive but I feel that I definitely got what I paid for (good value).

Boyle Mechanical delivered excellence in knowledge and service. My furnace quit a couple of times and after coming to my house several times, the local heating contractor was unable to diagnose the problem or fix it, leaving me with no heat and a huge bill. After contacting Boyle Mechanical, the technician came out the same day, diagnosed the problem and I had heat again the same day. I am grateful for the excellent service at a reasonable cost and will never use anyone else again but Boyle Mechanical.

I would highly recommend Boyle Mechanical, we had a cracked heat exchanger in our old furnace and they replaced our furnace within a couple of days. The workers that we had come in were courteous and very professional and took a bad situation and turned into a positive experience. I will only use Boyle Mechanical going forward.

Integrity and honesty! I had a problem with my AC unit and was fully expecting that I would need to replace it. Mike Boyle showed up and inspected the unit and let me know that it was only the fan that needed replacing, saving me a major expense. I did ask him for a quote to replace the entire AC system and his quote was a lot better then a quote I got from Costco.

Fantastic Service, they care about you. Boyle installed a boiler for the in-floor heating at our cottage a number of years ago. We are not up on a regular basis however we can access the heating temperature remotely. Yesterday I noticed the temperature was fropping and by the evening it was only 4 degrees in the cottage. I sent an email to Mike, the owner of the company at 7:30 at night letting him know of the situation. within minutes I received an email from Mike and he said he would go out there immediately, which he did, fixed the problem which was a dead mouse caught in the unit causing it to shut down. By 10:30 the heat was back on and thankfully Mike got to it that night. If he had waited until the next day quite possibly the pies would have frozen and burst. Great service! I would highly recommend Boyle Heating Cooling and Plumbing if you would like to have peace of mind should there be an emergency and you need help right away. Susan and Ron Romano

I called for emergency service for a broken furnace over a weekend, the said someone would call back I left my phone number, and called back 30min later to check I gave them the right number, they confirmed I did and I "should just wait for the call" I never got an answer back. If I hadn't called another company I would still be waiting.
