I recently had Justin from Mavco do the annual maintenance, I just want to say that Justin was absolutely Fantastic! He was there on time, I was unfortunately not... But he couldn't have been more understanding and polite. Once I arrived and was able to let him in he was super efficient. He also is one of the most polite and personable people that I have ever had the opportunity to deal with. Should you ever need to use this company for any reason I hope you get Justin. If his boss should read this, I do hope that you reward him in some way, as employee's like him are hard to find and he deserves a "great job" gift. Thanks,

During the extreme weather event last week of December 2021 Mavco responded to our buildings frozen and broken pipes, water meter, backflow valve and subsequently repaired all as well as installed a replacement hot water tank that was also damaged. Cory McGivern of Mavco as well as the numerous other onsite staff and office staff were very responsive, worked throughout a weekend to ensure water was restored to our building as quickly as possible. The damage was extensive and Mavco exceeded our expectations. Thank you to Cory and the Staff!!!

After waiting over 24 hours for ANOTHER company where my furnace came from to get back to me and they never did, I called Mavco as I saw they have 24 Hour Emergency Service. I was immediately patched through to a service technician named Bill who guided me through what to do to get my furnace working again. I'm so impressed by the speed in which I was able to talk to someone and the fact that Mavco didn't want to rip me off. In minus 10 degree weather one would think that a company where my furnace was purchased would get back to me immediately but nothing. THANK YOU for honest, immediate service MAVCO! I will now be using you for all my furnace and air conditioning needs!

Very poor customer service. Concerned with poor flame on a Gas fireplace and a BBQ. Invoice me for checking pressures. Say its all good. (It wasn't) Have a boiler break down Feb 1st. Call the emergency line. They visit, and determine the problem. No parts until the following day. No follow up call. I call and I am told someone will get back to me, but nobody ever did. So I called another local firm. I have been an advocate for Mavco over the years but no more. I can not recommend them anymore!

We had a clogged kitchen sink and called for help. Left a message and someone returned our call within 30min. Mat was able to come out the next morning and he cleaned out our drain promptly. He was very professional and friendly and I would certainly recommend Mavco based on this experience. UPDATE: I was super disappointed to learn that after such a good in person experience, I was then charged for 1.25 hours, which was 45 min longer than the time he spent in the house. I was told that it included the time required to source parts from a supplier when all he did was go out to his van to get the item and install it. I did notice at the time that he did sit in his van for about 20min after he'd finished the job and said goodbye. I guess I paid for that time. There was no reply to my concerned email about this over charge. After a good start, it turned out to be disappointing customer service and more than double the price it should have been. I will not return to Mavco.

Our HW tank died, so called MAVCO & they were there the next day even though they were very busy. The plumber did an wonderful job: From carefully bringing in the new tank downstairs, removing his shoes so not to bring any dirt in, and being very pleasant, as well as doing a great job of installing the new HW tank, it was a great example of what a good service call should be. Kudos to a job well done!!

Called early in the morning and wasn’t expecting to get same day service but they did. One of the hottest days of the summer and our air conditioner wasn’t working. They said they would call if they could fit us in. Got a call a few hours later. Thanks so much for getting things up and running and the advice.????

Today was my first experience with Mavco (drainage div) and I am happy. I went into the office this morning to see if Mavco could clear my main drain pipe and locate it for excavation and replacement. The young lady told me that somebody should be able to make it out in the afternoon, which was fine with me as long as it was done today as today is a friday. An hour later she called me saying that a tech had some down time at a job so she would send him to me. Greg showed up and was very courteous and professional. He didn't seem to mind me watching him work, and he obviously was well practiced with the equipment. Hour and a half and $350 later the job was done and I was happy to use my plumbing again. Dont waste your time calling these guys. Worst "service" I've ever received from a "professional " company

We've used Mavco since 2008. This month we had them do a fairly big job, rerouting some drains, tapping off others, bringing some up to code, including having to cut thru our basement area concrete to tie it all in. Tyler (sp) who did the work was amazing, knowledgeable, tidy and efficient, explained any issues that came up & was able to problem solve (older home problems). I'll certainly request him again next time I have an issue. He did an excellent job.

Mavco plumbing is the company I used to replace my poly b plumbing. Their quote was very reasonable. The crew were very prompt and professional. They were in and out in a couple of days and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend this company for any plumbing jobs. Lila mah, Kelowna.

Do not get services from this company in Penticton. They never keep their words and they do very poorly jobs. They told me the name of person to do the job then they send some one else instead. they did the job over half a day and they said they cant do it , tell me to hire some one else to finish it and billed me for incomplete job. Second time, I asked for some one who is knowledgeable about heating boiler system because there is not much heat coming out from the boiler. Again, Amanda said she will send Corry to come over , then some one else come by instead. He was there less than half an hour to look at the boiler without any tools and left, saying nothing wrong with the boiler . and they billed me for $149 for less than half an hour their guy was there.We have to call Mike Box Mechanical company to come over to fix it. He opened all the valves to let all air out to make the system work fine again. I made a complaint to Mavco company as its not fair for me to pay their guy for not doing any thing. First , dealing with David from accountable department , then he sent me to deal with Stephanie . This lady don't care what ever happened and ignored my concerns. She said that she had to collect money from me to pay to the guy even though he didn't do anything and without my permission , she still go ahead charged to my credit card which they kept on file while ago. If you have problems with your plumbing and heating, go to Mike Box mechanical . Do not waste your time and money to this Mavco company. They lied and they dont keep their words. They do poorly jobs. They just want to get your money and their staff aren't experienced.

After our service appointment was cancelled and rescheduled 3 times, our bill was 50% higher than quoted. The response I got when questioned was that 'the quote did not include the electrical portion of what was required'. Very disappointing to get a quote on a big job, then a bill later for it with an explanation of 'we only included part of the job in your quote'. They will charge you for every tiny little thing they do, all separated out, the technician's hourly rate includes NOTHING - not the tools they use, the truck/gas they drive up in - all that is billed separately after the hourly rate. I will not be using them again.

Today, we installed a new On-Demand Hot Water System. The people at Mavco’s front office who organized the work were friendly and professional, and always helpful. The young fellow who did the work really knew his stuff. He worked fast and efficiently and was very positive and polite. We couldn’t have asked for better service.

The whole team are HEROS!! They took our call at MIDNIGHT on a Saturday for a main water line leak, 14 HOMES in a strata without water, during 40c HEAT!! They rushed to help us, and within no time had the line dug up and were working on the repair. A huge thanks from 14 grateful families.

Called mavco to quote a a hot water tank upgrade from electric to gas instant hot water.Theyre initial response was quick and great. That's where they wanted to sell me on a new tank (I already own a unit). I was dealing with Lyle Amour in Penticton and said he'd just have to speak to his plumbing foreman about some more details. He said he'd contact me the next day, no response. I waited 9 days and emailed back to them. No response again. Waited another 5 days and still nothing. They didn't have the decency to say they're too busy to take on this job or to recommend another outfit. They lost interest as soon as they couldn't sell a new tank and mark it up. For service repair I don't believe their lack of professionalism coupled with their higher than average rate is worth your time.

I had them scheduled as a backup for a main drain problem that the city was called to rectify. City showed up first and fixed my blocked drain by flushing out their main drain line. The Mavco guy showed up, very nice and professional but he had nothing to fix. He checked my cleanout and said that everything was flowing and looked good. He was present for 10 minutes and I received a bill for a full hour plus a $25.00 truck charge. Total bill was just short of $140.00 for showing up. Billing said that there is nothing that they are able and or willing to do to appease me. Poor way to keep customers and service customers. I will never call and use, nor recommend Mavco to any of my friends and aquaintances. If anything I will make sure everyone will know of their greed and lack of customer care. A terrible way to do business, I didn’t expect it to be free but a reasonable charge would have been appropriate and good business to insure future service calls. Not ever again.

Read the rest of the reviews. Poor service, overcharged, multiple calls for the same issues. Recommended work that was extremely expensive when they admitted they knew the cause and that work wasn't required. Poor communication between dispatch and techs. Call someone else and avoid the headache.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Would have rated zero stars if it was an option. First off if I realized these guys were associated with CustomAir I would not have used them to begin with - way over priced ($190/ hr. + call out +++...Really???) End of July 2020 I called because my heat pump lines were freezing. After some research I found that the most likely cause was a leak. A tech came out, couldn't find a leak, came back the next day and found that the Schrader valve wasn't tight enough. Refilled the refrigerant and pulled a vacuum. He said it wasn't as low as he'd like to see but good enough as it was consistent. Turns out it wasn't good enough. During the January cold snap, it was 12 degrees in the house for a couple days - my thinking was the size of the unit, BTUs, might be too small and not suspecting low refrigerant levels at that time. Come May & temperature hits 30 degrees, turned the A/C on and what do you know... Freezing Lines!!! I called Mavco in which the rep said they could come out again but when I asked to make sure that it would be done under warranty as I wasn't going to pay another $1000 again for something that clearly was not fixed in the first place she said she would have to get it approved. No word 3 weeks later so I called and got a response that their warranty on labour is only 30 days. I asked to speak with whoever would make that decision and Dave called back fairly quickly. After explaining everything and the fact the leak was never fixed in the first place all I got in response was talking in circles with no admittance of responsibility or even an attempt to help in any way (discounted rate, no call out fee, nothing). Was told that it could be a new leak and there are thousands of ways that it could leak; when asked he could only give me one other reason which wasn't even relevant for my unit. Needless to say they are in it for the upfront one time service calls and not interested in building customer relationships or interested in referrals.

If I could rate a zero I would. Can't complain about the service if there isn't any... Called to get a drop down hood fan installed and quote. Said they would call me and let me know when it could be done. Didn't hear back for a week. I called and left another message. 3 weeks is totally now, and still haven't heard anything. Can't comment on the quality of there work cause they wouldn't do any for me.

First time giving a review, but I've never been as frustrated dealing with a company before. Took forever and charged me for a job they didn't do. Brutal customer service (the desk ladies were nice though) and an awful experience. Stay away.
