The short story of our experience with Ballentine Construction is this: Totally professional, on time, under budget. The longer, better story is that David Ballentine and his team help us transform two lovely but aging Georgian Bay cabins into a dream cottage. Ballentine Construction worked with us to install bathrooms, septic, solar, a kitchen, docks and a new roof to cabins that previously featured outhouses and the most basic electrical systems. The transformation of these 30 and 60-year-old cabins created a property that's true to its roots but modern and safe. All the work was done with sensitivity to the original design and the environment of our island, which is home to all sorts of wildlife, including the biggest fox snakes I've ever seen. Small problems in the project - the solar conked out over the July long weekend - were fixed quickly and effectively. We ended up with a home that exceeded our expectations, and made new friends at Ballentine Construction.
