We had an awesome experience with Metric! They built our first house and it’s exactly as we wanted. The specs are great with many premium items included as standard. We’re quite happy with the build quality and their customer service. Being able to customize the floor plan is simply amazing and every inch of our house was carefully planned. They were quite patient and helpful during the design and selection processes (specially considering that we’re quite picky and changed our mind often). Post closing, all of our requests were taken care of quickly and in the best way possible (thanks Jason!) Their whole team is very kind and nice to deal with. Thank you Stephan, Chris and Shawn!

My wife and I purchased a home with Metric in late 2019 and moved in early 2021. All we can say is we are absolutely thrilled with our purchase! From the initial selection, through the design process, to building, and finally taking possession, Metric always went above and beyond to make sure we ended up with a home we loved. A few highlights: - Even with the uncertainty of COVID-19, Metric was able to deliver the home on time, to the day. - The build quality and attention to detail is unparalleled. - We appreciated that they made adjustments during the construction process which were always in our best interest, even at significant cost to them. They could have cut corners but didn’t. We truly feel spoiled going with Metric as our builder. If we were to build another home, I doubt we could go with anyone else. Special thanks to Shawn who worked closely with us the entire time!

We visited Metric Homes’ Home within a Home model and loved it! I don’t remember the woman’s name that was giving us the tour but she was great. Probably makes her life easier to be showing off such a wonderful build. Metric is definitely on our short list of builders now!

We moved in several months ago, and Metric yet to provide legal title. Currently in escrow and no clear timeline for legal ownership. Metric Homes should focus on client satisfaction and legitimate client concerns directly with the client instead of a post on google explaining the situation later. With respect to Metric’s generic reply, it is my understanding that homes are unfortunately still closing in escrow as of May 2019.

Beautiful model home! And the receptionist at the model home was very nice and made us feel at home! But at the Sales centre, the sales woman was kind of rushed I felt.

On-going quality issues and delays. We have experienced significant delays with Metric Homes providing legal title (ownership title) at Trail View subdivision. We have been in escrow for many months with no legal closing to date. Metric Homes posting their comment says a lot about the focus of the company. Instead of trolling legitimate home owner's reviews/concerns, Metric should focus their time on client satisfaction instead of attempting to intimidate clients for leaving legitimate reviews which is a public consumer right to do so. (an actual home owner). As of may 2019, homes were still closing in escrow. (Info from actual home owner). As a result of the escrow matter and other customer service issues, based on our experience as actual home owners, we do not recommend Metric Homes.

In our experience, our yard has a lot of weeds/roots and large rocks. Some weeds were scrapped but several left between home and at edge of home. Large pile of dirt simply placed on top in back.

I don’t even know where to begin in describing how wonderful our experience has been with Metric Homes so far. We know a good amount about builders as we did our first new build through Mattamy and then almost bought another new build through Mattamy and then Minto, and we have a lot of friends who have done new builds with various builders where we hear about all of their experiences, and let me tell you, Metric Homes is exceptionally better than your traditional builder. We love that they take pride in what their homes look like: their ‘standards’ are actually nice with a decent variety in options, if your front and back can fit big windows, they include it without charging more because they know how much nicer the exterior of the home will look when people pass by. The best part for me is that you can build a fully custom home with them, which is something I always wanted but didn’t think was possible due to all the work and initial costs, but with Metric, you put down a deposit and they are there to guide you along each step of the way. I am a very particular person and had a lot of ‘needs’ for this home yet the owner was always so patient, attentive, and was just as passionate as us to make this our dream home. When some of our ‘wish-list’ items conflicted, the owner would keep playing around with our draft plan to find a way to make it work or would have a variety of other options for us. The team is small which I like because it allows us all to really get to know each other and they all get back to you very fast. We also appreciated their honesty, as when we sought advice, they wouldn’t just give us answers that would be in their favour. We are now at the interior design stage so I can’t speak to the whole process, but I will once our home is built in 2020.
