It started with discovering a very damp basement carpet, which led to finding a crack with water pouring which prompted me to frantically source a company. In comes Action Restoration. They came and sealed it within 2 hours! From there booked them immediately to dig foundation to fix crack permanently. Which led to discovering another crack - they dug & fixed. On closer inspection Patrick discovered, and the likely cause of cracks, being that of the Garage shifting putting stress on the home foundation. Patrick & Team were able to book us in immediately!! In digging up the garage floor numerous cracks were discovered they patched up, including attaching new metal extension straps in the corners for extra strength & support before having a new floor poured and graded properly! Patrick & his Team were amazing and thorough throughout the whole process - detailing exactly what he found and what the plan of attack would be. Our 1878 farmhouse suffered 3 foot deep water over the weekend...typical pre industrial stonework and an unfinished basement. Patrick came by at 8 AM to inspect and concluded that the water flow to the sump pump was reversing...he offered a couple of solutions but recommended that the flooded basement was the result of an inadequate sump pump. Replace it with a modern one and a backup and no more flooding. Very competent assessment and more than reasonable fee!!!

Filled in two basement windows with poured concrete, one with a row of glass blocks. Poured concrete patio 26x10 feet. Corrected grading of lot for better drainage. I am 56 years old and I have hired many different contractors to work on the houses I have lived in. I was the general contractor for a house that I built in 2012, and from that experience there are only two contractors that I would hire again. I wish that I knew Action Restoration during that project because they would have made my life a lot easier. The owner is not only excellent at doing the work he is instructed to do, but he is also a valuable consultant with lots of good advice, experience, and problem solving skills. He thinks ahead and he can be trusted. When you phone Action Restoration, the owner answers the phone. You deal with him from the first phone call to the last handshake. You explain everything to him, and he will be at your house doing the work, and any changes that need to be made as the work progresses can be quickly dealt with on the spot because the boss is right there doing the work. I look for that kind of relationship when I hire contractors. I prefer that to the companies where you first deal with an estimator or manager who then delegates the work to one of his work crews who you never meet until they show up at your house to do the work, sometimes with an incomplete understanding of what needs to be done. The best way to be successful in life is to surround yourself with good smart people, and then listen to them. The owner of Action Restoration is definitely one of the people you need to listen to if you are embarking on a concrete or masonry project, big or small. If you want excellent work, a fair price, and peace of mind then hire Action Restoration.

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! are the words that I would use and even then I don’t feel they truly describe the service my wife and I received. Recently we reached out for a quote to repair our garage floor as it was a little worse for wear along with fixing up the garage foundation walls. We called at a time of day that we thought we would need to leave a message but not only was the call answered, and lucky enough, Pat’s schedule allowed him to come check it out pronto. Pat assured us his team would be able to start the job within a week and have everything done within a couple days. Living outside Ottawa can make it difficult to find "accredited" companies with a 5 star track record like Action Restoration to work on your home. Most companies will reply with "sorry we don't service your area" or "we can come out for an estimate, for $150." Patrick and his team took the time to examine carefully the source of my basement water leak, not only did he pointed out that the leak was only due to the furnace (which no other foundation companies told me about), he also provided advice and recommendations on how to fix the outside crack and the inside crack in a proper manner while still being cost effective. I cannot say enough positive things about my recent experience with Action Restoration. Patrick and his crew responded immediately when I called about leak that was spreading across my basement carpet. Not only did the crew help to divert drainage water away from my house, but the owner himself, Patrick, took on the onerous job of vacuuming the water out of the carpet himself since I didn't own a wet-dry vac. He was soaked when he was done, but didn't flinch at the prospect of helping out a customer in need! Action Restoration provided me a timely estimate of the work that would need to be conducted to waterproof my 70-year old block-foundation house in the Billings Bridge area. Action Restoration's estimate was $4K to $6K cheaper than two other companies I contacted! On top of this, the other companies would not help me move away any of my landscaping or decking. Action Restoration had no problem addressing this. I could have easily spend another $10K hiring carpenters, gardeners, masons, and pavement contractors to help repair my property after the work was completed, but Action Restoration took care of all of it for me. The process was seamless. I genuinely feel that Action Restoration, and in particular it's owner, Patrick, really cares for their customers. Patrick and his crew worked efficiently to waterproof my home. Patrick updated me every day as to the progress and never left me in dark. Patrick is up-front and honest about any issues, and always puts his customer first. I felt in very good hands with Action Restoration and never felt like I was being taken advantage of, even though I was in a very stressful and vulnerable position. The crew is professional and the owner works alongside his crew! Needless to say, when you're faced with foundation issues and water infiltration, it is very stress-inducing, and that last thing you need is additional stress caused by shady contractors. I had absolutely no such concerns with Action Restoration. My house is now water tight and looks as good as new! Action restoration did an amazing job restoring the stonework that had to be dug up as a result of the foundation work. They even helped me use some of the large boulders they dug up to landscape my back and front yard. I have absolutely zero regrets hiring Action Restoration! I would absolutely recommend them for your foundation/waterproofing/masonry jobs!!
