Quality Excellent We hired Denys Builds Designs to renovate our 100 year old windows, and the final result exceeded our expectations. We chose Paul for his experience and enthusiasm, which we didn't find elsewhere. In the end, windows we thought might not be salvageable, were perfectly fine once restored. They function like new. And Paul sourced fantastic storms which do not require a ladder to change. And the cost of the work equaled quotes we had for new replacement wooden windows. We were so happy with the work, we had Paul and his team continue on the re-painting of the house exterior, which was to be done by another contractor. But our confidence in Paul's experience and knowledge in restoring heritage homes made this an easy decision. And we were very happy with the end result. He improved the exterior look of the house tenfold. We would highly recommend Denys Builds Designs for any project - and we look forward to working with them again in the future!

We have an 83 year-old home which had a range of issues with the windows, including broken sash cords, missing hinges, misaligned stops, etc. We had been thinking we would have to replace all our windows, but then learned of Paul's work in renovating windows in other older and heritage homes. So we consulted with Paul, and are very glad that we did. Within just a few hours, he renovated all eight of our windows that had the issues, including installing new weatherstripping and waxing sash channels for smoother operation. Now our windows are as good and efficient as new, and much more long-lasting than new windows would be, at a fraction of the cost of replacing them. Our restored windows are also much more suitable to the architectural style of our home than any new windows would have been. We would have no hesitation in recommending Denys Builds Designs.

Thank you for your recent renovation of the second floor of our older Ottawa South home which included a new bathroom, family room and laundry room. The project was completed on time and with a high degree of craftsmanship. It is always challenging to work with the constraints of an existing older home while trying to improve space and functionality all the while staying with in a budget. You succeeded in all respects keeping us informed along the way with numerous discussions and product and decorating information. On top of that you delivered with a smile and a minimum of disruption. We especially appreciated the attention to the little details which helped to make the new space fit with the existing Victorian house construction. From the advice on light and bathroom fixtures to the bathroom vanity retrofit (from an existing antique dresser) to the faux-paneled wainscoting in the family room, your design and craftsmanship will be a show piece of our home for many years to come. We have already had many compliment on the work you have done. The heated bathroom floor has been a real treat on those cold winter morning and electrical upgrades along the way will pay dividends in future especially as we look forward to the next phase of our home renovation.
