We had a flood from our upstairs to our finished basement in Feb. I awoke to the water coming through our ceiling and the walls, filling our laundry room and upstairs hardwood floors cupboards, we quickly tried to mop up as much as possible as it was early morning 5:30am ish As soon as we called our insurance company, around 9 am, The Co-operators in Port Perry, they very calmly said they would get in touch with the adjuster, Chris. He called immediately. He asked if he could send out the Restoration Company, Winmar. They called right away and within an hour had a fantastic team of Emergency Workers, Cheryl, Theresa and Juan. Immediately they had to take pictures and assess the hat needed to be dealt with first, then they just got to things being packed up, dried up, moved around… then drywall ripped off, floors ripped up, insulation removed as it was saturated and they gave us a step by step synopsis of dates we could expect things to be completed. First thing was to get it dried. We also had to ask about keeping the dust to an absolute minimum as we have numerous family members with serious asthma. They went over and above the call of duty to be sure we were happy all the time and that we knew what to expect. Once it got down to the putting our house back together, Marci was our Co-ordinator with which team was doing electrical, drywall, plumbing etc. Things took a bit longer due to Covid and certain supplies not being available, but the team of Nick, Brent and Scott, showed when they were supposed to, did what was expected, the work was reinspected by Jeff, the Project Coordinator! All the people we dealt with were very kind, understanding and really went out of their way to help us. We highly recommend this company and their staff!! We recently contracted WINMAR Durham to completely restore our dining room after a water leak in the ceiling. On the administration/Project Management side we were very impressed by the services provided by Andrew Vorstenbosch and Lauren Neufeld. In terms of the actual repairs, we very much appreciated Nicholas Bromley for his skill, reliability, work ethic and manner. We lost some of our aluminum siding in a wind storm. The Winmar team were absolutely exceptional. They were understanding of our needs and worked with our insurance company to make sure that although we only lost siding on the one side of our house, the entire house was done so that everything matched. Our roof was damaged in the past wind storm leaving our roof plywood exposed. Winmar Durham had a team out the same day, to temporary tarp. They then had a team come out to replace our damaged roof. The whole team made this unfortunate experience, much more bearable. Great communication and service. Thank you guys !

This company is a joke to deal with. Unprofessional staff who do not show up when they say they will. Does not return calls and takes forever to get any issues resolved even when dealing directly with their project manager "Wesley" Doesn't respond to emails or phone calls without making several repeated attempts to do so. Insurance company selected this company for the repairs. If I was paying to have the repairs done myself I would not touch this company with a 10 foot pole. Stay away, far away

Winmar was hired by my insurance company and quickly arranged for a tarp to be put over my damaged roof. Unfortunately it took almost 4 months to get the actual repair done...I finally called and Jorja Cooper was awesome...the work crew was at my house the next day and the repair was complete. I expressed concern of further damage from the roof being exposed for so long and Jorja also arranged to have a team come out and inspect my attic for moisture or mould. Other than the length of time to get the repair done...I was very happy with the result.

What began as a household nightmare, albeit not total destruction was made less upsetting and disruptive, by Winmar employees Scott,Michelle,John,Juan right down to the carpet installers and sub painter Dave! Each were respectful,personable empathetic and professional with every interaction. The care they took for our contents and appreciation for the displacement we felt made the situation a little less unsettling. The little extra care and attention they took to details in restoring our home and putting contents back into place was so appreciative. IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH , on the last day when Juan and a colleague attended at my home to find me warming up my vehicle and clearing snow off my vehicle, Juan came up the driveway with his car scraper in hand and helped me clear the entire vehicle. I was already extremely impressed with John and Juan, "that unsolicited, and obviously genuinely natural action" on his part just put the icing on the cake. Working in Customer Service daily , it was so nice to experience Excellent Customer Service on top of quality restoration work! KUDOS TO WINMAR DURHAM I will recommend them any opportunity I can. In fact I "already have passed on my appreciation" to those that hired them on my behalf!!! Can't say enough!
