Dealing with them have been a nightmare since day 1. I bought furnace, AC, thermostat and humidifier from this company. 1. They installed the AC unit at the wrong spot. The owner offered 3 years free maintenance contract. Luckily I insisted him to email me as proof. The next year they were about to charge me for maintenance. I told them that I was offered free maintenance and the receptionist said she does not have it in their record. I had to emailed them the email to prove it. 2. Wrong set up to the humidifier hence water constantly running for months even when the furnace was turned off. My water went higher than normal. When I made a complain after finally found the source of the problem, I still did NOT get an apology or compensation. 3. The 2 receptionists promised me to call me back but never did, even after multiple follow ups. Although the technician were polite, I would like to share my honest experience. P.S:// I received a call from Steven (Customer Service Manager from Comfort Masters) after leaving this review. He was gracious to apology for my experience and provided me an explanation about the water leakage. I am thankful for this call and got my closure.

After our service call to check our AC, we had to contact CM two days later in order to follow up and make an appointment. We had been told by the service tech that CM would be calling us the next day to book yet another appointment to help resolve our issue. $209.00 later and still don't have our AC working.

Terrible experience. Requested 3 fireplaces to be cleaned and one repaired. The “tech” shows up with put a drop cloth or vacuum - totally not prepared. Put my fireplace screen and parts all over my white carpet. I had to wash the rocks to get the dust off because he didn’t have a vacuum that was working. The “tech was finished cleaning the first fireplace within 10 mins and the charge $149/fireplace. Clearly I am in the wrong business. When I asked him about repairing the other fireplace he said he wasn’t a repair tech and only a cleaner and told me he asked for a tech to me sent to the call with him and they didn’t provide one. I paid for the 1 fireplace and asked the “tech” to leave. I got a call from the company shortly after he left and they apologized but had no response for the lack of unprofessional service provides. I would not recommend this company.

Wont use them again. I knew what the problem was with my furnace needed a part. I had the part and part number. Yet the came out did a "diagnosis" the kid looked at the part that was already taken out. He had to then go get the part and toon him 2 min to replace it. 300$ later. 90 for the "diagnosis" 85$ for the part. And 90$ for him to go get the part.

New homeowner here. Just moved in and furnace kept cutting out on me so I called Comfort Masters and I'm glad I did. Excellent service by Heather on the phone, who correctly recommended that I go forward with the maintenance service, which was only 20 dollars more than getting someone just to come check out the furnace. Special mention to Sohrab Kasra who showed up and performed a full check on our furnace. Turns out all I needed was a new filter, but Sohrab really took the time to explain our furnace system to us, and provided recommendations on maintenance as well as future upgrades we can consider in the future (he was not pushy about it at all, just solid recommendations that we will definitely consider in a couple years). As a new homeowner, it was really helpful to know the health of our furnace and learn more about the system.

*Edited* They called us yesterday to say they could come this morning. Someone came to look at the unit and they are going to be providing us with a quote for a new AC sometime this week. We appreciate that they got in touch with us and were able to come by. Thank you. ________________ My husband called yesterday to see if someone could come to look at our air conditioning unit that had stopped working. Luckily, they were able to book us in, to have someone come take a look at it today. Well, we've waited all day, past the time frame that they said they'd be here, and when my husband called, they said that they had no record of our appointment, or even him calling and speaking to someone. He literally redialed the number that he called when he spoke with them yesterday, so we know he didn't call the wrong number. Have to say, we are really disappointed. Our home has become quite hot and we have a baby that we worry about in the heat. They said they would be able to come about two weeks from now, but I guess we will be taking our business elsewhere. I would not recommend this business, as I do not find them to be very professional.

These guys are so fast and efficient at installing the equipment. I bought a top notch Lennox Furnace and Air Conditioner, and a John Wood hot water tank and a new humidifier. They took out the old equipment and installed the new equipment in just over a day. They were very nice, cleaned up as best they could (it was raining that day) and can't say enough about how nice they were. My point guy, Brian was always available to answer any question I had, even on Sunday!!! The equipment I have is super quiet and I have saved a ton of money!

Quality and professionalism! We initially called Comfort Masters Oshawa to service our gas fireplace. Technician Derek arrived promptly as scheduled and was very pleasant to deal with. After servicing our fireplace he inspected our HVAC system and advised we were due for an upgrade. We were very pleased to discover that they were able to do our system install the very next day! Hakim and his assistant Blake arrived right on time and got to work, while making sure to let us know everything they were doing. They had us feeling very confident in their knowledge and skills. (The only thing I would suggest, is that Hakim definitely deserves a new GREEN truck). As the work we had done was quite substantial, Comfort Masters ensured a second team of technicians arrived on site to keep work flowing smoothly. Technician Vanae and his assistant made sure all work was able to be completed in one day! Overall, we recieved a whole new system installed proffesionally and for a fair price. I would not hesitate to recommend Comfort Masters Oshawa to anyone requiring home comfort services.

Long story short, I caught a whiff of gas in the basement. Nothing major but enough to catch my attention. Called Enbridge emergency services. Tech detected gas leak in the basement at a shut off valve. Whole house pressure test also showed a slow leak. Had to shut off gas to the house. This is on a Friday evening. Not good as most of the stuff in my house runs off gas. Hunted around for gas repair company online. Most calls ended with voicemail. Came across Comfort Masters. Live person! It was Brian. I asked if he could arrange for service next day first thing. Got a response back from Brian with confirmation that Sean would be there in the morning. Wow! So far so good. Next morning Sean arrives. I go over symptoms and do the walk about. ‘Walked’ with Sean during repairs where appropriate and when all was said and done house was tested gas-tight and back online. Sean was thorough, professional, did a great job and was a good guy to boot. Brian came through on getting me back up and running in short order. I was also provided information on an HRV system and tankless water heater solution. Grant it those are extra spend items but it’s the thought leadership that counts. Bravo guys. Would recommend to anyone.

Gas Fire Place PM. Ryan was very professional and communicated well. I would give 5 stars but the head office did not infirm him of my 2nd request, look at the outside venting and tell me if it’s possible to remove so I could inspect the area for evidence of animals that may have got trapped and died. Also he didn't have any glowing ember material to replace the old ones that were removed during the PM.

Spent $13,000.00 on a system so as an existing customer they wanted to charge $140.00 for an estimate. Needed some extra work done. Sent an estimator over, we discussed what was to be done, was quoted, and approved. Technician shows up and only prepared to do a partial job, not what was discussed. Paid the $140.00 with disgust, never heard from them again. Had the job done by another contractor for half the price and they didn't charge for an over inflated estimate. Be wary if they ask you to pay for an estimate. Not good customer service.

Oshawa Comfort Masters Ltd. installed a new LENNOX EL296UHV in my home November 2020 with extended warranty. We had our YORK air conditioner turned "on" during a power outage in our neighbourhood. The power went out for a split second but it turned "off" the Fan on the LENNOX. .The HVAC technician reset the furnace it's back up and running. We learned the location of the "on" and "off" for our LENNOX. Small fix but Good to know.

Very professional organization from the service technicians to the sales staff. Our furnace broke down in the middle of winter just after a very cold spell. I started to make calls for service Saturday morning. I called at least 5 companies and the Comfort Master tech was the only person to return my call within 5 mins. Although he was already on his way to a call up in Port Hope, he guesstimated when he could get to me. We had checkpoints throughout the day to let me know his progress and to update his arrival time. He got the furnace working, but as we already knew, it needed much TLC so it was time to bite the bullet and purchase a new furnace. The sales rep on call was the manager who came out to see us (on Super Bowl Sunday noless). Spent 3 hrs inspecting and talking us through our options. By Friday we had a new furnace installed. We did some comparative shopping, however in our buying decision price was a factor but the customer service experience with Comfort Master cinched the sale.

I had Comfort Masters install a new top of the line Lennox Furnace and AC this year. This furnace was slightly more complicated than the traditional ones. The installation process was fine. I encountered a slight issue later where the upper floor was maintaining the same temperature as the rest of the house. Chris from Comfort Masters promptly attended, diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it. He was knowledgeable, polite and took the time to explain things to me. First contact with Mike at Comfort Masters was prompt and work was able to commence quickly. I asked what the price would be exactly so I could have payment ready. Work commenced on Wednesday and shortly there after I was informed extra costs would be incurred amounting to $700 which I was told they would cover half. Okay fine , things come up though I think a better assessment of the required installation would have made this unnecessary. On Thursday morning my son woke up and the house was not cool. The unit was not working and the temperature had risen to 31 degrees. I called and Mike told us he would come over and correspond with the installer. This went on for several hours and obviously Mikes knowledge of the system was not much better then mine as we continued to physically assist in trying to activate the unit. We purchased a new thermostat as recommended and were unable to get it working . The next day two men finished the install , They begrudgingly installed the new thermostat while conversing in another language making her feel very uncomfortable. The actual work does look neat and tidy but I think things could have been handled more professionally and some sort of rebate or perk offered in light of the poor experience. Michael Niesar.

I have never used them but they have my business going forward. Here is why; On Saturday, July 6, 2019, I needed help (AC not working HOT!!!). They were not able to make it out same day as they had previous appointments set up. I could not wait another day. Chris gave me valuable advice on the most likely cause and where I could get the parts on a Saturday morning (he got that I was handy :) ). They indeed helped me when I needed it. I had a very good experience with Comfort Masters. I live in another BC and had to coordinate a furnace installation in a relatives home in Ontario which added a layer of complexity for me. I got a few quotes from different companies and Comfort Masters was the best price for a good quality furnace. Mike Leigh the person I dealt with was quick to respond to my request for a quote. Mike was very good, he explained everything and answered any and all of my questions. He always got back to me quickly, was very knowledgeable and walked me through the whole process and accommodated my needs. It took a while for Enbridge to install the gas line and Mike took care of the paperwork involved. The furnace has been installed and all is working well. Furnace/AC/Air Purifier/UV Lights Dave came to the house to access out needs. Upon inspection and asking a few key questions he narrowed it down to 3 comparable units. At no time did I ever feel pressured purchase or to make a decision. He handled the consultation more about educating and making sure i understood the differences, functions and benefits. When i made my decision on the units I wanted to get installed they were very accommodating to my personal schedule and needs. On installation day the technicians arrived on time and rolled out a carpet to keep everything as clean as possible. Upon completion they took their time to explain to me about each item that was installed and asked if there was anything else i needed clarification with before leaving. Great experience, great product screen and great employees.

Ordered Heater/Furnace tune up since we moved into a new house. Booking was straight forward, and technician was prompt. Either my furnace is in pristine condition or the 21 point checklist something that can be done extremely quickly. Total service was maybe 45 min if I'm being generous. I saw no camera inspection, no testing for carbon monoxide, my furnace filter cabin wasn't opened, thermostat wasn't looked at. Water was still all over the furnace floor when technician left. My furnace was turned on for maybe 5 minutes. Technician didn't seem to know how the direct injection humidifier worked. I think all the tools used were a flashlight, rag, screwdriver, and shop vac. Perhaps many of the inspection points can be checked off with a glance. My takeaway would be that if there is nothing wrong with your HVAC, no need to call a technician to tell you the same. Edit: Customer service rep. was quick to contact me after technician left regarding the poor review, and I was promised a follow up the next day. I have been waiting a week now, even after trying to reach out to them to rectify the situation. Edit 2: Second technician arrived today, clear explanations and thorough inspection of the system. A much improved experience the second time around. Unfortunate that it had to come to this, but now satisfied with the outcome.

Our thanks to Jordan and Brad, they did a fantastic job with the installation of our new AC/Heat Pump unit. Wonderful work ethics made sure the job was completed and working. After installing the new unit there was a problem and it would not work. After checking everything and troubleshooting they found a faulty thermostat and had to change it out. After that everything was working fantastically. We are so happy Jordan was able to figure out the problem which was from a previous installation of a new furnace system that was installed from another company approximately a year and a half ago. That company installed a faulty thermostat and could not figure out how to get the heat pump working so they bypassed the heat pump at the thermostat without telling us about this issue leaving us to believe that our new furnace was installed properly which it wasn't leaving us with high Hydro bills for the past year and a half. Luckily Jordan was able to figure out the problem tracing it back to a faulty thermostat and installed a new thermostat to go with the installation of the new AC/Heat pump unit and we now have a fantastic new AC/Heat pump that works as it should. This is a man who knows how to do his job well and provides the care and customer service and respect that is appreciated in a time where customer service doesn't seem to matter or exist with most companies anymore. Jordan made sure the job was done correctly and could have packed it in and bypassed the problem like the previous companies installer did but instead spent an extra grueling 2 hours taking the time to figure out why the unit wasn't functioning properly and making sure the job was done right and everything was working properly before leaving. We are so thankful that we had Jordan as our installer whom went above and beyond, just an overall wonderful experience brought to us from a knowledgeable person who cares and has pride in his work! On a 5 star scale we give Jordan a 10!!! Our sincerest thank you to Jordan and Brad! Glenn & Heather .
