BEGGED ME TO CLEAN A JOB SITE LAST MINUTE AND IS REFUSING TO PAY. Roman called me extremely last minute and asked me to do a post-construction clean of a large custom home in Aurora. He explained this his homeowner was moving in, and there would be workers working while we were cleaning. I explained why that is a bad idea, and that Aurora is outside of my regular service area. He told me he was in a jam and couldn't find anyone else to help. We agreed to an hourly rate. I sent a large crew of 4 or 5 people. Of course, cleaning while people are working is a little silly. 10 minutes after an area was cleaned, it was covered in dust again. The homeowner kept insisting that the crew continued to clean until late at night, and then requested that they return the next morning. The supervisor ended up having to deal with an emergency that night, so he was exhausted when he drove the crew back the next day. I told him he could sleep in the car. Of course these hours were not billed on the invoice. Roman refuses to pay the invoice. He says that his customer is upset (because he thinks he was billed for the sleeping hours), but he refuses to give me his customer's contact information. No one will pick up my calls.
