The service was also amongst the best I've had from any contractor - they were efficient with their work, open and clear with their communication, and very receptive to my poking my head in to check the state of the inside of the walls and the state of my sill plate. I had 3x window glass inserts replaced. One of those glass inserts, after installation, began leaking between the sash and glass insert. Had one of the service tech come out and said was due to a plug drain port. We drilled new ones and I paid the service fee. It didn't work. I called back in September and they haven't even called back to schedule me in. This has been going on for 1 YEAR. - Every time it rains, I have to place towels in my newborn's room to prevent flooding. - I have damage to my ceiling on the first floor (the window in on the second floor). - The window never leaked before installation. They also had trouble installing this particular window on that day. I only rate good reviews but I have no more options left before I contact a lawyer.

Also very paitent as we made changes along the way (prior to ordering). We had every window in our home changed along with a patio and garage door. I feel we were picky as it was a big investment for our home. This business came highly recommended. After waiting several weeks for an onsite estimate, an estimator came out and said an estimate would be forthcoming within two weeks. We emailed after two weeks and were told the estimator would be in touch right away with the quote. Still nothing. Very disappointed. I'm sure they are busy, but still.......

Tried to get some windows here, gave measurements over the phone. Called 4 times, each time was told that the estimate was coming. First person I talked to left without giving me a quote. Second guy apologized, told me he would call me back, then didn't. Not sure why they don't want business, must assume that the prices are unreasonable if they are unwilling to give a quote. That or they just don't have good customer service. Either way, not where I'd like to get something as important for your home as windows.

We had a new door frame and sidelights installed over the summer. We get so many compliments from our neighbours! The porch retains more heat now too. The installation team gave pointers and explained what they were doing, why, and how to properly maintain it. Upon delivery of our new door, it appeared a miscommunication led to the wrong colour door being ordered (grey was requested , black arrived). The entire team from Nova Doors managed the situation with integrity and insisted on solving the issue to ensure we were satisfied. The end product is beautiful. The installers were knowledgeable. The whole team promoted customer satisfaction. All around great!

Our experience with Novo Doors and Windows was excellent, from start to finish. We received clear and detailed information when we visited the showroom, and again when the person came by to measure. The office kept us informed about the order and when the expected installation would occur. They installed it exactly when they predicted. We were told in advance what to expect and when. They did a great job installing the windows and doors. However, they installed the wrong handle on the storm door. When I asked they said that was the one on the work order. When I checked, the right on was on the work order, they may the mistake not me. So now the right handle was in and they wanted to install in on a certain day but I was away on vacation. So I told them no I wanted to be there for the installation. They said I could leave he door unlocked and they would do it, I said no. I went on my vacation and made sure the storm door was locked. When I came back there was the new door handle on and it still wasn't right. Worst of all the outside door was now unlocked. I locked it for my security and now my security was compromised. I can't believe they would just do that. Not happy. Adding on this review, they were supposed to call last week to let me know where the missing lock was.... Nothing. I called today and the person who was to call me back, is on vacation. I mean really?! So now what do I do about locking my storm door? Unacceptable! A family member was going to get 5 sets of door put in their house and garage. Not going to now. Too unreliable. It's a shame, they did a good job installing.

We purchased the “ Lift and Slide” product because the doors face the ocean and we required high quality. The gentleman that did the install made what we thought was going to be a stressful renovation for us a very pleasant experience. As for the sliding door I can assure it’s not the sliding door system I’ve known in the past. It added both beauty and security from the elements to our home. Next purchase will again be Nova.

We have had all of the windows and doors replaced in our home by Nova. Our last two are currently on order for installation in August 2021. Our front entry door was a "custom" project that we picked out with a combo of a pre-fab door and sidelights/upper half moon, produced from one of the types of glass in the pane of our door (chinchilla to be exact). The team at Nova were with us EVERY step of the way, even through Covid...first and second wave! Covid certainly gave our door project a run for its money, resulting in a lot of extra work on the part of the Nova team. From Mike (Sales), Darren (Install Manager), Jimmy and Connor (Install team), Matt (trim guru), Melinda (Sales Administrator), Danielle (General Administrator), and even Jason (Owner/President)...there were many, MANY calls, site visits, emails...and each time they ALL went above AND beyond to ensure our project was completed to their high standards, and our satisfaction. I built another house 20 years ago when people went with what was most "cost effective", and didn't care about "buying local". Doing this reno on our current 27 year old home, the first thing we decided was to "buy and support local". We did our research, and Nova came out on top, hands down. We are not one bit disappointed with our choice. Nova is a competive, local company that truly prides itself with providing a superior product, top notch customer service, and a no hassle warranty. I contracted the building of my new home many years ago. I bought all of my windows and doors from Nova. I noticed my patio door began to leak right from the start. Nova came out twice, and both times they said installation was the problem. This went on for quite a while because it would only leak when it was a hard rain. My contractors were wonderful, they came out every time to see what they could do to stop it. They removed siding, soffit and fascia. Still the problem persisted. Finally I got frustrated and bought a new patio door. The same contractor installed it, and what do you think happened, no leaking. The problem with this is that due to the time that Nova took not taking responsibility, part of the floor, gyproc and studs on the next level down in my child's room had to be removed due to rot and mold. I did call them after I had the problem fixed, but they were less than interested.

Was sent a quote a few days later, I wrote him back accepting the quote after being told it's an 8 week waiting period. 9 weeks later I call them up and was told my order was never made. Waited 9 weeks for nothing. They may do good work I do not know. Went with another company.

I'm not usually one to review products or complain about a company publicly; however, I feel strongly that I should advise consumers of the distinction series windows. We recently purchased approx. $13,000 worth of windows from Nova. We upgraded from the Vision Series that we initially looked at in the showroom after listening to the salespersons pitch as we assumed that with the increase in price we would get a superior product. Upon installation we were shocked to see a goopy mess of caulking on all of the outside seams on many of the windows. This prompted us to take a much closer look at our so called superior distinction series. What we found is that this series of windows (unlike the Vision Series) is not seamless but rather the brickmold is attached as a sleeve and caulked to the window. We then looked at other windows installed in our house, shop and bunkie (Jeldwen, Kohler, Atlantic) and realized that none of those had caulking/seams. While I appreciate the companys stance on the glass being superior we are not at all happy with their view that the asthetics or "look" might be impacted but its still a superior window. Whenever you introduce a seam, it increases the potential for breakdown and water penetration. AND yes, the look of our new windows in our new home is important. I did not expect that I would have to worry about caulking getting dirty and stained (dust, dirt, mold) sticks to caulking...furthermore we now have to ensure we go through additional steps and a much more complicated install process because the new windows are not seamless (sill pan install, additional caulking, etc). We had priced windows and chose Nova eventhough the price was higher because we thought a smaller local company would have better quality control and pay more attention to the details. The owner will not do anything for us other than send an employee down to re-do caulking. In hindsight, we should have stuck with the larger manufacturers and as consumers we should have scrutinized the product and questioned everything. So consumers beware of this company and dont assume that supposedly superior windows translates to a superior manufacturing process-you will be very disappointed.

I wish I could give zero stars because I still have zero windows. I ordered windows, doors, soffits, and gutters from Nova back in June. They were quick to want my deposit money, and it's been crickets since then. Had to chase after them asking about my installation date, which was supposed to be in October. Just found out today that they won't be coming until LATE JAUNARY. So my family gets to freeze over Christmas because Nova can't get their act together.

My boyfriend and I recently bought a house that we knew needed the windows and siding replaced. We got a variety of quotes, including one from Nova Windows & Doors. The gentleman, who I will not name, came to give us a quote that took 2 hours. Once we had our quote (which was crazy overpriced compared to other companies) we decided to go in to the showroom (which we felt pressured to do in order to get service or more information). We decided we were going to do our windows with another company and siding with Nova. When we told the gentleman our decision, he was rude and was almost disinterested in helping us with the siding.. On top of that, he asked my permission to punch my boyfriend for voicing our decision.. Joke or not, it was distasteful.. Nonethless, we showed him the colour we chose for siding and his response was “that’s interesting, most people choose dark colour siding”.. the comment might seem harmless but it was all in the tone, not to mention you never question a client’s choices or lead them to think that it’s “wrong” .. We sat down to go over pricing anyway and he was pushing us to get more insulation despite it being over our budget .. NO respect for our budget whatsoever. He then blatantly lied about the R-Value of the 1.5 inch installation, how do we know? He called to check with a woman named Lisa right in front of us and it was loud enough that we heard her response before he even hung up the phone. Once he hung up, he told us a higher number than what was said over the phone - we even looked it up online after to be sure. All in all, I was completely dissatisfied and offput by our interaction with Nova Windows & Doors and I strongly encourage people to look elsewhere. The cherry on the top was that we haven’t even received a follow up call as to why we didn’t go through with our siding order ... Terrible service all around and we are completely confident in our decision to go with Metro and Windows Plus.

I had 6 windows installed this month, I was happy they could do the install all in one day. There was an issue with the quality of wood for one of the windowsills, but they addressed that quickly, within a few days. Warranty on their products might not be as comprehensive as other competitors, but their lower pricing was hard to resist. Plus I like the fact that their installers are in-house. There were a few changes with salespeople along the way (turnover) but in the end I am happy with the design of my windows. I can’t give a full five stars until after we see if there are any leaks!

Very happy customers. Just had a window installed in a wall that previously had no window. Keith cutout the opening, installed window, applied interior trim to match our existing windows, outside trim applied. Space was cleaned throughout. Exceptional work and highly recommend the whole team at Nova Windows and Doors. Covid 19 restrictions were fully adhered to at all times.

Horrible Experience with this company, butchered our windows and door installation, Caulking job very poor, The install team scratched our floors and damaged property. When Jason Sadler , the President ,came to our house to review the damage he started yelling at us and called us a Liar in our own home. Jason Sadler has no respect for clients when it comes to his team damaging your property. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. Think twice before you spend your hard earned money with this company. Any company, who's president yells and disrespects you in your own home can not be trusted. You have been warned. Go with another company, save your money for a company that actually respects their clients and property. Jason Sadler of Nova Windows and doors should be ashamed of himself.

I tried to get estimates from 2 chain stores to have 3 doors replaced in my home without much success. Took weeks to receive a response and longer still to receive any quotes in fact still have not received any quote from one of the chains. Mike from Nova was at my home in a few days quote was supplied within a few days and order placed all within 7 days. Timeline on getting the doors built was within the timeframe quoted. Once the doors arrived it was only a matter of a few days that the installation crew was at my home and doors were installed and trimmed in a day and half. Wish I had contacted them sooner so as to move onto other projects instead of waiting.

After getting multiple quotes, all with similar pricing, I chose to work with Nova to replace three windows in my home. The sales guy who came for the quote was friendly, knowledgeable and made fast friends with my dog. The installers that came a few weeks later were just as great and also made friends with the pup. They seemed to enjoy working with each other and did a fantastic job with the installation and clean up! I would recommend Nova Doors and Windows and will certainly use them again in the future.

Cale, the salesperson I worked with, provided excellent service and always demonstrated a willingness to go the extra mile in meeting my requirements for my new house build. His communication was prompt and friendly, and he persevered with all the details that I asked of him. Windows and doors are an expensive investment in a new home, however I found these products to be of comparable price to the lesser quality brands that I was looking at before I found Nova. I highly recommend Nova for their service and products.

We found Nova Doors and Windows via a search and reading reviews online - a bit of a leap of faith, but sometimes that has to happen when you’re new to a province and when the front door of your new house won’t close properly! We ended up having non-egress windows replaced, a tonne of rot removed and a new front door. Absolutely recommended - Darrell, Jason and Danielle are fantastic to deal with, no-one battered an eye when I said I needed the door to be Tardis Blue (!) The installation teams they sent were brilliant - we were away for some of the work, and I almost cried when I came home and saw they’d totally cleaned up. They kept me up to date, sent photos of ongoing work, and were just really pleasant to deal with. Just a solid company. On a side note, a piece of guttering was off the house, I thought Nova had taken it off during their install and asked them to come and fix it. They came, showed me how it had sheared off in a storm, and mended it with zero drama. Very grateful and impressed, this was above and beyond.

After a lot of homework, and finding out Jason the owner was from the same place i’m from in the UK I went with Nova. I did see some reviews were off and negative, but when you read them clearly, the expectations were unrealistic, so I read past them. Anyway Super happy with the end result, which was straight forward,I had 11 windows and a large Patio door replaced. The installers turned up promptly and in 2 days everything was complete Inside and out, and everything was left clean and tidy. Very happy with the whole process and end result. Thanks Guys

This was the third year that Nova came out to help us with another round of renovations and once again they did not disappoint. From the initial sales consultation and measurements, Katheleen and Melinda were so helpful and great to work with. This year's window and door install was the most challenging as we decided to open up our bedroom window overlooking the lake from a 3.5 foot window to well over 7 feet. Installers Gary and Paul knocked it out of the park and did a fantastic job. They explained their approach and kept us informed on how things were going during the install to ensure we had the best outcome and understood the process as they worked. The well rounded team at Nova has been a joy to work with over the years and we certainly recommend and pass them onto friends and family who require similar services.
