The transformation of our newly renovated home is truly the difference between night and day. We couldn’t believe our eyes, to watch our 25-year old family home transform into something that came out of a page from a fairy tale story book. Our home of 25 years remains filled with the memories that our family has created and left behind, Dan Monk and his team truly took the time to listen to the important aspects that were important to our family values; whilst giving our home the facelift it properly deserved after 25 years. At first, we were hesitant of change, but looking back, we were pleasantly surprised by all the new friends and contracting professionalism that we have met along the way, through the help and referral of Dan Monk and his team. The process from initial discussion, design, paint choices, material choices to the final stage of taking our before and after pictures were all carefully directed by Dan Monk and his team. Change is never easy, but with the right crew, direction and proper communication, the process is less intimidating than one would think. We originally hired Monk to build some dormers in our attic to create an extra bedroom. We ended up adding an entire third story to the house! Monk finished the job on time, and on budget (start to finish, it was just over two months! [that's fast!]. Everyone on the Monk team was courteous and professional. In January 2021, we began the process to find a company to renovate our kitchen, refinish our hardwood floors and fix our ceilings. We interviewed three companies. Dan and Tyler came up with the smartest design, at a reasonable cost. We were so impressed with their ideas that we chose to work with them. We booked our start date for July 5 and the estimated work time was 6 weeks. We were so impressed that everything fell into place and that their amazing workers showed up at 8am everyday to get er done! Mother Hubbards was subcontracted to do our kitchen cabinets and we were very pleased with the service we received from Mandy especially. From start to finish our home was cared for and each day the workers left the space tidy and organized. We LOVE the final results of our kitchen and up stairs reno and we will definitely work with Monk again. We have already recommended the company to our friends who have hired Monk too. Over 2 years ago, I decided to make the leap and renovate my home but I hired the wrong person. I was new to the process and made mistakes, and I was horribly taken advantage of. As a result, I was left with only half a house, the other half destroyed, and at the time I felt I had no way to fix the mess. Fortunately, I was introduced to Monk Renovations. After interviewing several contractors, we decided on Monk Renovations to do a major renovation to our home. From the very first interview we were impressed with Dan and his crew. They provided us with a very detailed quote including a timeline. They did exactly as they promised, the quality of the work was second to none and that also applied to the plumbers, and electricians that they work with. Would I recommend Monk Renovations? ABSOLUTELY! They do quality work and we were extremely pleased with our renovation!

We went to Monk from work done by a family member in the past and they had an excellent experience. The experience for us was positive from the beginning with a professional quote and review of what the scope of the project was to be. Once work started they arrived with the appropriate resources to do the work they had planned each day and the work was very professionally done and timely. Our thanks go out to the work team leader, Brandon, as he would always keep us informed of the progress and ask about details that needed to be decided before work began. He was a hard worker and did a thorough job on everything he worked on. The rest of the team were also thorough, hard working and professional as well. The only problem with the renovation was availability of some materials, but this was a supplier issue that had nothing to do with Monk and their team. We will surely go back to Monk with any new major projects we undertake based on our experience with this project. The were not the least expensive but the quality and timeliness of the project were high value to us.

Excellent work. Dan's team has done 2 large reno's for me on a 90 year old home. His team was professional, hard-working and completed everything on time. He was adaptable and accommodating as new ideas (90 year old home issues) came up. I'm really happy with my home now.
